00:37fits right in his wheelhouse to do well speaking of the weather it has the wind has increased
00:43dramatically inside uh this huntington bank stadium incredibly so it is still raining just lightly
00:54but the wind has increased substantially oh harrison has a problem oh what a shame for mitchell gates it
01:04out on race two of the 450s and it's justin cooper chase sexton with two terrific starts horrible start
01:13for hunter lawrence back there but he sneaks around the inside he was buried in the pack yeah heads up
01:20riding by hunter but it's gonna be interesting to watch if we get a replay what he does going down
01:24that star straight because popping is uh it's starting to vice off but we saw in that 250 class how

01:46how about malcolm stewart in good form in this one here comes cooper webb on the one blasts out of
01:52that across that flat track section nearly 60 miles an hour roxson is side by side with malcolm
01:57and spare a thought for mitchell harrison yeah ricky you saw cooper take a look at that inside he was
02:03thinking about diving on the inside of kenny but kenny went on the inside to try to get on malcolm
02:08cooper's gonna go for two for uh-oh bogo time two for one that's right man cooper didn't even back
02:17off he just leaned right into kenny and it stood kenny up he heard will talking about him and said

02:33wrote good in that first race but his starting position was the reason why he finished where he was he's
02:37right good all day long he's a lot closer to the lead and he's got his teammate up front chase

03:28just let his race come to you just methodically make your way up as he tries to get up the

03:33of my brother keep an eye on that 94 see where he's at i think that'll dictate hunter's race as
03:39far as how aggressive he would be trying to chase these guys down james let me ask you this so

03:43in a situation like that now you would know better than anybody so if malcolm knows what's at stake
03:49with the 96 and the 94 like is he gonna put up a massive fight because obviously he don't want

03:55mess their chances up like what no absolutely not especially with the track being like it is now
04:01it'd be very easy for mouth just to lose the front end and get into hunter and none of these
04:06guys want
04:06to do that so especially the conditions i think they'll be playing it extra nice now cooper webb and
04:12these other guys even though they'll try to stay out of it i think they'll they'll continue to race
04:16because the lead's right in front of them roxson is looking racy he was taking the fight there to cooper
04:22where almost tagged his rear wheel and ended up unfortunately losing some ground to the monster
04:28energy star racer i'd really like to see what kenny can do here i think myself personally would be it
04:36would be important for kenny to have a good showing and at least be on the podium that's going to

04:43him for the overall position and possibly make up some points here on hunter lawrence
04:51much improved performance by the kawasaki of chase sexton he finished seventh in race one
04:58here this afternoon in cleveland now running in second 2.2 seconds behind justin cooper here comes
05:04kenny again yeah i like that line that cooper webb's going just cutting back um not a lot of guys

05:10going there because it takes it so long to get straightened up to get to that inside he loses a

05:15of time in that corner but man he makes it up going through yep very difficult to pass like james

05:24saying keep an eye on what kenny might do on some of these 90 degree corners he can just slide

05:31the inside of cooper webb that'll be an opportunity to pass like right here he elects not to but what
05:39makes cooper webb so good as you saw how he cut down stayed on the inside of those russ is

05:43make it difficult for kenny to you know he's got to pay attention to that because we know how cooper
05:48likes to go low down these uh insides in these bowl corners stays really low his sense of where his
05:54competitors are at and guarding on that is some of the best that i've ever seen
06:01still about a two second gap between race leader justin cooper and chase sexton
06:06cooper webb is doing his best to try and eat into that delta to sexton but he's hanging tough with
06:13less than seven minutes plus a lap to go yeah i believe with cooper he him and he'll make his
06:18way
06:18up the chase really easy i think what was happening cooper started running behind him because ken roxson was
06:23there allowed chase to have that gap but as long as cooper's clean he'll make that uh that gap up

06:28quick i like that line that chase sexton is doing coming out of that the corner before like the
06:35stadium double is he's wheel tapping almost wheel tapping and tripling he's getting a good drive out
06:41of there where a lot of guys are just going double single he's making up a lot of time there

06:45kenny through the webs look at that speed incredible yeah what happened there uh cooper he didn't get that
06:52run out of that inside so what we're talking about he was losing that time coming out of the corner
06:57he's
06:57really slow and they needed to get the run going through the wolves easy pass for ken roxson i can
07:02tell you this race isn't over cooper's trying to fight for this win and still in his mind he has
07:06the opportunity for this championship and kenny is fighting for every position too because it means
07:12he can take more points off hunter lawrence because lawrence is behind both these guys watch this inside
07:17from cooper webb uh he was nice to him slides in there yeah he's a little too far back i
07:24think what he was
07:24trying to do was maybe scare kenny so kenny would maybe back out the only problem i think we talked
07:30about this last week if you're going to make an attempt to pass you you got to make it happen
07:35otherwise you just lose so much time getting going for it right here you can see the aggression
07:42this will be the first time in a long time in this race that sexton has heard another bike that

07:48to him so he'll know the pressure's coming he won't know yet who it is but it's going to be

07:53vying for that second spot meanwhile hunter lawrence is back in fifth so there's points to be grabbed
07:59there this championship is still way alive and roxson wants up his piece of it here he comes move for
08:07second slipped up the inside of chase sexton sexton tries to respond i'm really surprised chase wasn't able
08:14to square that bike up and get to the inside of it kenny didn't really put up too much fight
08:18but at the
08:19same time maybe he couldn't get there kenny is rolling right now he looks like a completely different
08:24guy on the motorcycle than he did that first race i mean he's sending it doesn't look like to me

08:31riding quite as reserved and i feel like that's the kind of ride that he needed to have here in

08:36second race you were both both of you were surprised by his post-race uh statements about the perils of
08:44the track and the conditions that's clearly out of his mind now will roxon's riding great he is lee and
08:50that's where my brain was going with this because when i spoke to billy harville the mechanic spoke
08:55ken roxon said to hey how does ken feel about this weather potentially coming in this is for any that
09:00started he said i'm not too happy about it because i gotta fix the bike up he said but put
09:05it this way
09:05if it starts to rain pens he's fine with it he's fine with it so what is it james and
09:11ricky for him
09:12it's this track is not wet it's not super muddy it's not super rutted so what is it that's playing
09:17into his hands so well well what's playing his hands it's number four going around them on the
09:21outside but i think what it is is you know the race slows it slowed down quite a bit from
09:27that first one
09:27and i think the speed with the track breaking down they were still going really fast but it was a
09:32lot of
09:32ruts and that's what kenny was mentioning and on the podium that it was pretty sketchy to him
09:36now i think the track is slowing down so even though it's gotten more rutted the pace is slower so
09:41maybe
09:41it's not bothering him that much and it's making him more comfortable well i have that too but i also
09:47think as it gets slick and it slows down i think kenny is really good he's good everywhere but he
09:52really
09:52shines when you need throttle control and i think that bike works really well also it complements his
09:59riding style look who's coming into the picture look to the right cooper webb has re-entered the
10:03conversation there he is right there and you just wonder if kenny getting a little sideways that last
10:08lap to the whoops now he's starting to ride a little bit more reserved sometimes he's had and riders
10:13have a tendency to do that yeah no and you go back to what he said on the podium in
10:18the first race
10:18he was closing in on hunter and something must have happened where you start backing it down
10:23he might be in that same spot right now the problem with him is that the number one smells
10:27that blood love this drone footage right here you can really see the different lines that the riders
10:33are taking cooper's found some really good lines on his sides next corner like he's going to stay low
10:41here keep that inside but watch this next one he'll double to the inside and then double out of this
10:48kenny doesn't watch out the next lap he's going to get past by the number one

11:03well just thinking about how important these passes are because right now ken roxson would
11:08determine his own fate in race three if he goes out and wins it he would take the overall that

11:13cut into the points league take it down from 10 to whatever that number ends up being if he loses
11:17this spot to web he would then maybe no longer dictate his own fate so this is a huge huge

11:24not only in the race but could be the championship he's got a minute and a half plus a lap

11:28something about chase sexton and keep cooper webb behind him can he do it yeah he's real uh the four

11:34chase sexton back in looks like he's got a little bit more fire in him than he did that last
11:41lap but
11:41there's coop yeah coop got close to him and kenny since that inside so i wonder did he kind of

11:47opportunities oh nice save by cooper he was going for the pass right there but be interested to see
11:54this next lap does kenny block that inside because cooper kind of showed his hands cooper's going to
12:00rev it up meanwhile justin cooper has what a lead gone out to more than a five second lead meanwhile
12:11excuse me meanwhile there is malcolm stewart trying to chase down hunter lawrence and steal that fifth
12:18place back oh he's up the inside of him got him second place goes back to roxon for now can

12:27on to it for less than a minute plus a lap slide job yeah that was a that was important
12:33pass for kenny because
12:34now he looked like he had a little bit more pace than chase and if he could get away to
12:38give him a gap
12:39between the number one of cooper webb yeah and like jt said now he's got more of his control his
12:46own destiny
12:48in this third race now you know folks why we love triple crown so much you always got a chance
12:54and
12:54especially this late in the season you've always got a chance to keep punching keep fighting keep
12:59grabbing points yeah great job by kenny really to kind of take control flip the switch and he's rolling but
13:08man we had talked about hey a boring race is good for someone james yeah it is and if you
13:14go back to
13:15our last triple crown he's got his first victory winning that second race exactly a little bit of history
13:20repeating here yep well done justin cooper and it began when the gate dropped he got a brilliant start
13:30was right there in the mix and then just took off
13:36whoa hang on to it hold on to it one to go for justin cooper aboard the monster energy star

13:44shows you how difficult this racetrack is he's got a nice gap this is an eternity and for a supercross
13:49almost five seconds but anything can happen especially with these conditions and it's only 12 minutes
13:55right or 15 minutes plus one lap sorry yeah 12 minutes plus one lap so yeah that's a big lead

14:04got a good start just cruising it's the way that this championship has been this year
14:10i sometimes feel we don't talk about justin enough big picture wise this guy you're watching
14:16lead this race on route to victory is fifth in the points he's had two podiums this year
14:22and in very similar fashion to last year the longer the supercross season's gone on the better
14:28justin has ridden and scored points and positions it's victory to justin cooper here in cleveland
14:36really good stuff and an important a very important second place for ken roxon in his fight against
14:42this man here hunter lawrence sexton gets a podium spot web and then the championship leader
14:49so roxon takes some points away from the honda hero but it's cooper in cleveland justin will like the
14:58sound of that with a fine win great ride justin great ride good rock for kenny too oh yeah that

15:05that was a really good comeback bounce back ride from race one you had to work hard for it though
