00:00here uh the track is taking it but we're keeping on the best we can uh as we get this
00:04one going
00:04again and mike for the red flag um what what was the specific reason for the red flag because
00:10you couldn't get uh drew off safely it was from the assessment for medical as well as the location
00:16he was in it was best to go to a red to tend to true tremendous thanks always mike as
00:21always for
00:22your time we know how busy you are especially with so many moving targets today pretty crazy
00:28with this weather well i can tell you these metal grates james uh they are going to be slick it's
00:35going to be interesting to see which riders are going to be able to have that throttle control
00:40yeah no i agree and just on the cole davies point really quick i wonder was he trying to go
00:45up to
00:45get his second bike maybe there's something bent on his motorcycle that's maybe why he wanted to do it
00:50so keep an eye on that you are allowed to go to a backup bike he's not allowed to leave
00:54yeah right
00:55right right the venue once the race starts once the race has started the race had already started
00:59even though it was a red flag situation he wouldn't have been allowed to grab his other bike in this
01:06circumstance because the race had already started yeah right once the once the 32nd board that's right
01:12so yeah all right well at least these riders have some indication of what the conditions are like
01:19i i james i think it's like really slick the dirt isn't very heavy so it's gonna be hard for
01:24these
01:24guys to get stopped i believe all right ready to go let's take two race two 250 east division in
01:33very sloppy conditions here in cleveland on the inside is landon gordon nate thrasher cody shopper was
01:41that simonson all yamahas up front getting away to a really great start oh what a start james for
01:48the rookie landon gordon again coming off that fourth place finish yeah i mean he knew nate
01:55nate's in a great spot as well obviously cole davies got a lot better start i'm interested to see what
02:00seth does this early laps as we're watching nate makes the pass on his or try to make a pass
02:05on his
02:05teammate and does goes that high line nate thrasher in front again landon gordon valuable experience in
02:12just his second weekend as a pro well these guys practice together during the week so it's like a
02:19day at the goat farm this i think if i was a rookie this would make me comfortable and i
02:25would probably
02:26be able to ride to my full potential riding with a guy that i practice with during the week a
02:31lot of
02:31similarities there yeah you should feel really comfortable because in the third spot you got his
02:36teammate cole davies made two passes to put a little bit of distance between him and seth hamaker
02:41so great move by him seth has got to pick up the pace well the the fortunes have swung haven't
02:47they
02:47because hamaker was ahead of davies his championship rival in the first iteration of this davies was
02:54buried in 12th position now cole runs in third watch you guys to take a look at the different lines
03:00and there you go cole davies trying to get by his teammate but slips up in the whoops he'll be
03:05on the
03:07inside way to defend the position by landon gordon but watch on these 90 degree corners some of those
03:12riders are going all the way to the outside because those insides are getting pretty greasy and slick
03:17yeah absolutely they're trying to do that as you said to find that traction otherwise you'll be doing
03:21slotting into the guy up front of yourself it'll be interesting to watch how this race plays out it
03:26should get better but right now these guys can be very careful oh did devon simonson go down there that
03:31front end was tucking now he's managed to hang on to it he held on to it so and also
03:37talking about the
03:38the um favors swinging the right way like devon simonson was way back that's what i was gonna say
03:45so he was down with drew adams yeah and so was cole right cole went down and they're up front
03:52they're in
03:52front of hammocker now behind simonson hammocker then derek kelly daxton bennick nick romano cody shock
03:59and isaiah clark who had to go via the last chance qualifier isaiah's doing well in the top 10.
04:04he almost missed his break right there it kind of stalled up in that corner right man look at hammocker
04:11starting to close some ground right here and they're making up time on cole davies now if you're
04:15cold though you can also you know you have a decent points lead and the championship oh almost pushes the
04:21front end right there so he's got he's got some points to get here yeah no he does but to
04:26me
04:26something looks a little off on him as well well you said maybe his bike was messed up you made
04:32that
04:32point here comes hammocker hammockers by simonson and he's got his eyes and sights set on championship
04:38rival cole davies who just had a hiccup now seft understands cole's probably not cole davies 100 so
04:46you wonder if you're going to try to make that aggressive pass at least try to get in and start
04:50him a
04:50little bit he's made that time normally cole would be getting away but great opportunity for
04:55this um steph to maybe make some points up his cold looked like he almost hit the corner as well
05:00he
05:00was he was all the way at the top of the berm top of the berm started to give way
05:05looked like he was
05:06in full lock steering lock if you were to compare the two hammocker looks like he feels these conditions
05:11a little bit better yeah cole there's definitely something wrong with him because this interest
05:15speed going into the corners is it almost like he goes from breakers except slides up the inside
05:22you saw that door was wide open well he has to make those kind of moves
05:28it's for a championship and this is going to be a pivotal round in the whole scheme of this 2026
05:36250 east division title race yeah and even just for the overall here this afternoon alone this is
05:43important i mean definitely don't want to let simonson get by now if simonson does get by he'll
05:48have some he'll have some space to work with spinnicks a ways back and see right there
05:56wow this track is really really slick the good thing about it james i believe
06:01at least it's raceable and the mud isn't super heavy so they're able to move around a fair bit yeah
06:08i mean
06:08the most difficult part right now it's just vision and when you get around these other guys trying
06:12to make passes as you can see they're kind of following in one line right here so um i don't
06:17think the track itself is too difficult it's just when you get close and just keeping that vision clean
06:23dim i think we'll see some uh some car we're going to use some car racing service slide jobs
06:29from some of these riders making passes coming up the 90 degree corners sliding into the riders on the outside
06:41from among all 30 degrees you know i don't think this is a demand for a while because i've got
06:44it
06:44we're going to spend a little bit on the side of the Polk team right here i'm going to see
06:45you
06:45going to see your mid-range as well in the round i want to encourage you guys to see you
06:50the best of us are trying to get a bit of a bit of a good day to get it
06:50going to get your
06:50team in the tournament it's getting one of the lessons learned in the past year we're going to be
06:58in the draft of the natalic process and get a bit of a good weekend
07:08for the young man for his first ever career podium that was really good stuff now look it came through
07:14a kind of a quirky way it was through hammocker getting penalized because not only did seth
07:19cut the track he gained an advantage and passed he went ahead of devon and then so he ended up
07:25losing not one but two positions and that elevated simonson to the podium you've got to be in the
07:30right spot to be advantageous sometimes so we congratulate him because podium or not he has
07:36been riding he's having a career year no absolutely lee and as a kid i know how many times i
07:42used to
07:42do that watching jerry for craft ricky carmichael on the tv just popping a water bottle so true
07:48was different for him but at the same time great feeling congratulations devon on that one yeah he
07:53keeps riding this way james i mean he's gonna he's gonna earn it the way that he wants to earn
07:59it for
07:59sure he's gonna have many more opportunities to spray the champagne 100 very incredible season
08:05for this young man it's been a lot of fun to watch and i go back to the guy that
08:09we i used to lose
08:11sleep over and with tough competitor you just have to think he's learned so much from chad so i can
08:18tell
08:18you just by looking out of our booth that the rain is easing up you're starting to see actually where
08:25they're penetrating through the surface in parts you're seeing some dryness on the track on certain lines
08:32meanwhile nate thrasher leads the way gordon is second and cole davies is turning up the heat
08:39on third place set hammocker now what happened seth must have made a huge mistake because he was the
08:45fastest guy on the track the previous lap at a 50 and now he ran at 55 which allowed cole
08:51to get back
08:51up there but starting to see starting to look back he's probably anticipating cole's going to do what he
08:56did make an aggressive pass but i feel like cole's in that oh whoa hamica lost his rhythm he did
09:02he got
09:03wheels spin up the face of that jump and that's what you're going to see a lot from these riders
09:07right
09:07now the wheel is going to start spinning they're not going to get the drive that they were anticipating
09:12to get on the takeoffs of these jumps high risk yeah but all that was caused he was more and
09:19worried
09:19about what cole was doing the whole bike do to him because he makes another mistake cross ruts right
09:24there started racing behind him instead of in front of him two minutes plus a lap remain in this second
09:32250 east division race on a triple crown afternoon nice recovery by cole to me it looks like whatever was
09:39going on he learned how to ride with the motorcycle no intensity just that composure as we talked about
09:45to open in his show really continue to do his things and now look at him still on the podium
09:50and
09:50a great shot to not lose too many points to uh seth at this point
10:06what do you think ricky at this time you start kind of finding a rhythm yeah like i think i
10:11i i believe
10:12and agree with everything that you said as far as you know he probably learned if this bike is banged
10:18up from the the first start uh before the red flag uh he probably took him a couple laps to
10:24get used to
10:24it here's a great story here's derrick kelly he's in a tie for 10th coming into this round
10:30in points with nick romano and this is the mx6 team originally born out of poughkeepsie new york now based
10:41in
10:41california ollie stone is the team manager former uh pro circuit kawasaki team member and in their
10:50first year coming into this this round of the championship had two two of their riders in the
10:56top 10 in points that's outstanding well and and really when you think about ollie and his experience
11:03working for mitch payton for so long the wealth of knowledge that he learned then he moved and he was
11:08austin uh forkner's mechanic for a long time and then he moved over to the gas gas uh trolley dyes
11:15red bull race team and uh had a big role over there and then he moved over to run this
11:21race team so
11:21really no surprise when you think about it they're doing a great job like you said all right stu look
11:26out here comes set hamica he is not afraid to take the fight to the championship leader whatever
11:33happened two laps ago he's been able to reset regroup and take third place oh yeah i mean again i
11:40think
11:40a lot of that was just cause he was looking back and cole didn't seem like he picked up the
11:44pace but
11:44what happened was seth probably got that pit board and knew he needed to make that pass and he did
11:50i don't
11:51think cole at this point is going to really fight him too much he understands that it's a long game
11:54he's got a
11:55nice point yeah and he does he's got if the race stopped right now he's still got a 14 point
12:00lead
12:01so you know he doesn't need to panic at this stage this is confidence boosting stuff though for seth
12:08hamica it is he's doing he's doing what he has to do what he has to do finish ahead of
12:13cole davies
12:14making solid passes on davies and i believe cole knows as we're watching now date cole knows the only
12:20way he's probably gonna lose is he's gonna have to make an aggressive pass step that is so yeah
12:25anticipated that possibly happening yeah you get to kind of desperation mode yeah have we forgotten
12:31about the race leader here he is nate thrasher doing an awesome job and james we talked about it a
12:38lot
12:39like you talk about the potential that a guy has a nate thrasher we always know he's a guy that
12:44can win
12:45it here we go final lap checkered flag yes says nate thrasher oh and how about this guy
12:55second weekend as a pro landon gordon finishes second to his teammate phenomenal result after
13:03last weekend crashing damaging the front wheel couldn't finish the main event in nashville on his
13:09debut well you're now going to stand on a podium well done and seth hamica was able to hold off
13:16the
13:16points leader cole davies for third it's going to be a really good battle for that overall position in
13:23race number three between thrasher and hamica only one point separates those so basically whoever beats
13:32the person is going to win the overall most likely so that's going to be a lot of fun to
13:37watch it and
13:37gordon sitting third overall right now as it's standing man that would be awesome for his like
13:42first race that he finishes i'm going to get on a podium opportunity that's cool
