Isio has already spent two years living in the UK without papers. So, naturally, the system sends her to the Hatchworth Removal Centre. Her plan is simple. Get her asylum claim processed fast, get her old life back. The problem? This place runs on delays, rules, and the kind of waiting that slowly turns into pressure.

Her roommate Farah doesn’t trust the machinery. She trusts people, timing, and the fact that you need an exit before the doors fully close. She starts talking escape with her friends while the centre lurches from one chaotic moment to the next.

Somewhere in that mess, Isio and Farah find common ground. Not just as allies. As people who understand the same fear from different angles. And then Farah’s asylum application gets rejected.

That’s when Dreamers stops being a cautious survival story and becomes a grim, stubborn fight for whatever “freedom” still means.
