March is grieving, and it’s not exactly the kind of grief that politely waits for the third act. His wife Nat is gone, but her spirit isn’t. Instead, she’s living in a vacuum cleaner. Which means the house starts making sense in the least sensible way possible: suction becomes romance, and chores become plot.

The trouble escalates when another ghost shows up at the factory after a worker dies. That presence doesn’t rattle windows. It shuts things down. Naturally, March’s family is terrified and does not buy the whole “my wife’s ghost is helping me” story.

So Nat decides to prove her love the only way she can. She offers to clean the factory from the inside, aka from all the haunting clutter. But before she can become a “useful ghost,” she has to get rid of the useless ones first. Because apparently even the afterlife has standards.

March trauert. Nicht so poetisch, eher so, dass der Alltag trotzdem weiterläuft, während Nat plötzlich nicht nur fehlt, sondern irgendwie auch… weiterarbeitet. Ihr Geist wohnt nämlich in einem Staubsauger. Ja, richtig gehört: der Haushalt kriegt plötzlich Fantasie-Update, weil ein unsichtbares Wesen den Saugmodus zum Lebensziel macht.

Dann kommt noch ein anderer Geist in die Fabrik und macht aus Produktion ganz schnell Stillstand. Keine Figur sagt groß „Oh, welch mystische Wendung“. Alle reagieren wie Menschen, die merken, dass da ernsthaft was eskaliert. Marts Familie kann seine Beziehung zu Nat nicht verstehen und blockt, statt nachzugeben.

Nat will beweisen, dass ihre Liebe echt ist. Also soll die Fabrik von Geistern gereinigt werden. Problem: Bevor sie selbst ein „nützlicher Geist“ werden kann, muss sie erst die nutzlosen loswerden.
