00:00Yeah, the fitness has never been a problem.
00:03He never looks tired, but there's a whole lot of other stuff going on.
00:05A little drama between he and Kitchen.
00:09He said who when he's asked about Kitchen after a race two.
00:13So Diggins got the points to play with here in a race three time for Around the Berm.
00:21That's right. He's fishing on credit.
00:23He's got a couple point lead going into this final round and been on a beautiful night.
00:27He gave us a little sprinkle of fireworks that last race.
00:31But I think big picture, look for that start.
00:34Get another whole shot. Lead it wire to wire.
00:38Levi Kitchen has a chance at his first podium here in 2026.
00:41But I think it's about a little bit more than that.
00:43This is about pride.
00:45Hayden Deegan has called you out.
00:46He has given you every reason in the book to come out and race race three with passion and to do something about it.
00:53I want to see a response from the 47 here.
00:57We just haven't seen what we normally see out of him, which is good start.
01:03And that's led to other problems.
01:05We saw him on the ground there in the highlights that we just watched.
01:08Currently sitting third in points.
01:10We know how these triple crown lights can turn around.
01:13It's a good result here in this one.
01:15So he doesn't lose any more of those championship points at the night's end.
01:18Yeah, thanks, Will.
01:19And don't count out the 19 sitting fourth overall coming into this one.
01:23Could he get to the podium?
01:25Solid race three would do it.
01:27He has one career podium.
01:28Pittsburgh last year.
01:29Club MX gets some support from Yamaha.
01:31But it's not the highest level factory team.
01:34So that's always big if they can put one of their riders on the podium.
01:38And Boland is in position to do it.
01:40Rider originally from Northern California.
01:42So here it is, last 250 race of the night in Houston.
01:47Deegan sitting on the 1-1 and looking for his 10th career 250 Supercross win.
01:54But I had a whole race to go before he can add another one of those fox bones to the back of the jersey.
02:02Can he do it again?
02:03Here it is.
02:03Rebs are up.
02:05Gates down.
02:06And not a good start for Deegan.
02:10But he's going to sweep around the outside.
02:12That's what's good about the outside gate.
02:16And Steve with a good start.
02:17But it's Boland with the whole shot.
02:21Yeah, from a points perspective, Weege, though, Kawasaki guys are a few riders back.
02:27Yeah, they finally didn't get the start.
02:29See Kitchin back there making moves.
02:31But it's Max Boland going to lead lap one in the Club MX bike.
02:34It's the Monster Energy star racing machine by the...
02:38Oh!
02:39And Kitchin makes the move on Deegan.
02:41And Deegan pushes Kitchin wide.
02:43Yeah, he tries to run him off the track.
02:45Now you got both of the guys that want to beat him right behind him now.
02:49Look, he's looking back.
02:51Oh, going for it.
02:52Yeah, McAdoo there as well.
02:55Oh!
02:56Was that to Mumford that ran into the back of Kitchin getting into that corner?
03:00Yeah, Kitchin couldn't do those jumps and loses a ton of ground.
03:04Did not lose any spots, though.
03:07DeFrancisco behind him next.
03:09Hadn't seen much from DeFrancisco tonight.
03:12So great to see him back up here on this final race.
03:14Here's a replay.
03:15So he looks over.
03:16He's going to go outside.
03:18Kitchin comes up.
03:20And then watch.
03:20Hayden's going to run him to the hay bales.
03:22Use up all the room.
03:23They're going to lose a little time because of it.
03:25And that allows Cameron McAdoo to catch up.
03:27So Deegan is third.
03:31McAdoo right behind him.
03:32And Bolin continues to click off laps in the lead.
03:36Nice bounce back for Anstey as well.
03:40You called it.
03:41This guy right here.
03:42We haven't talked about him much.
03:43But he's sitting in a perfect spot.
03:45And, man, what a ride by Max Bolin.
03:48And he has slowly been chipping away weed all season long.
03:52I've been quiet like fourths and fifths, having solid rides.
03:56And eventually, if you're able to do that week in and week out, those fifths become fourths.
04:00Fourths becomes third, Will.
04:01And it's so impressive for what he's doing, Ricky.
04:05And, of course, for what the team is doing.
04:07Because Club MX Yamaha are a privateer team.
04:09And we can see Bolin.
04:10And then five factory riders before we then get back.
04:14Sorry, six before we then get back, actually, to his teammate who's just dropped down a spot there.
04:19And talking to Club MX, these starts are no accident.
04:22They know that they need to work on them.
04:24They know how deep the field is.
04:25So they've actually focused a lot of energy on building.
04:28They build their engines themselves and focusing on making sure that they have their start style.
04:33It's a huge thing.
04:34It's working out for Max right now.
04:35Big question, of course, is can he stay out?
04:37There goes the pass right there.
04:39And Max got held up a little bit just in the moment, in the battle with Max Bolin.
04:45And that allowed Hayden to go 3-3.
04:47Make the move.
04:49Hey, folks.
04:50Let's talk about St. Jude for a second here.
04:51You can become a St. Jude partner in Hope.
04:54And you'll give St. Jude and their opportunity to give every child
04:58with cancer chants.
04:59Donate $19 or more a month.
05:01And you'll get the exclusive Love Moto Stop Cancer t-shirt.
05:05Text S-U-P-E-R-785-833 to learn more.
05:09Battle for the lead is on as Deegan has made that move on Anstey.
05:14It's the first laps led for Bolin since 2023.
05:18How long can he hold Deegan off?
05:20Yeah, well, watch out.
05:21It's going to be interesting to see just which guy slips up.
05:26See if Max is able to hit his lines right here.
05:28Just make sure he executes these rhythm lanes.
05:31We've seen it so much here tonight.
05:33If a guy slips and isn't able to triple-triple or gets off sequence,
05:38then they end up losing position.
05:41Yeah, the three ends have been the tough part.
05:44Oh, mistake there for Bolin.
05:46Just like you said.
05:51And Deegan makes it happen.
05:53Looks over his shoulder to the inside,
05:55makes sure that Max wasn't there attempting a pass back.
06:00Max or is it Max?
06:01Two Maxes back there behind him.
06:03Anstey and Bolin.
06:05So Deegan now looking for the sweep as he leads race three.
06:10If I had any advice for Hayden, you know, he talked about it,
06:13he said he was only right 70%,
06:14but these wins, oh, nice pass.
06:17Again, a perfect example of how important these rhythm lanes are.
06:21And I haven't seen these rhythm lanes be so inconsistent
06:26for these riders in a long time.
06:29It shows you how difficult the racetrack is
06:31and how hard it is to be perfect.
06:35McAdoo's digging back there in fourth,
06:37and that's important.
06:38McAdoo and Bolin right now in a fight for the podium.
06:41McAdoo's made up just enough spots
06:43with Bolin drifting back to third
06:45to now reclaim what would be third overall on the night.
06:49And Kitchen, even though he is fifth,
06:52would still be second with a 2-2-5.
06:55You can see the map on the lower left of the screen.
06:57It'd be Deegan, Kitchen, McAdoo podium.
06:59I want to say something about Max,
07:01and I'm kind of big picture, dude.
07:02Looking, looking, already looking into next week at Glendale.
07:06And if Max is able to finish this moto out really well,
07:11you know, that'll give him confidence
07:12and kind of get back on that same foot he had the first two rounds.
07:17So, you know, looking ahead, I think this is a great ride.
07:20Definitely something to build on and continue that momentum moving forward.
07:23Yeah, for Anstead, it's no doubt the last two weekends,
07:28train was starting to come back off the tracks.
07:30Yeah.
07:30Definitely back together in this one,
07:32not beating Deegan,
07:33but back at least to podium spot sixth last week.
07:37And both the first two races tonight were tough, Will.
07:41Yeah, watching him push, I mean,
07:42he's keeping Hayden Deegan very honest there,
07:45and even in some areas they're making some gains on him.
07:48Talking to Max earlier on today,
07:49he said, look, I'm still testing.
07:51You know, the season's going well.
07:53I'm happy with where I'm at.
07:54He's like, but I'm not going to settle on that.
07:56He's like, I know there's more to gain.
07:58And even though he's a veteran of this sport
08:00because of his age and because of the amount of years
08:03he's been running a dirt bike,
08:04he's honestly only got about an extra 10 races on Hayden Deegan
08:07as far as actual supercross racing here in the U.S. goes.
08:11And a lot of that was done with teams
08:13that don't have the sort of support that Yamaha's car racing giving him now.
08:16So he's like, I'm honestly only just getting used to the fact that I can test.
08:20Instead of settling on my bike,
08:21I'm going to hang on there some more inside
08:23because I know I have the trust in the team behind me,
08:26and they're able to do that for me.
08:28Thanks, Will.
08:29The teammates here battle on the Monster Pro Circuit Kawasaki's.
08:34Reminder that you can pick up Monster Energy at Kroger.
08:38Past the halfway mark of this final 250 race kitchen.
08:41It's going to get spicy here.
08:44Well, Cameron has a lot of speed through the whoops.
08:47Clear advantage on the chef, Levi Kitchen,
08:52but Levi seems to be a bit better on the rest of the track.
08:58Man, it's so hard when you're in a situation like that
09:01where you lose a lot of time in the whoops, for example,
09:04and then you have to use the whole rest of the track to kind of catch up.
09:07These guys are battling for position on that podium.
09:16Second, third, if Levi's able to get by.
09:19Tries right there up the inside,
09:21but then Cameron will just get a really good run through the whoops.
09:24It's a little sideways there that time,
09:26and Levi was able to keep that cat close.
09:29It should help him potentially maybe make a move
09:33because now he doesn't have to worry about making up so much ground that he lost.
09:37We'll see.
09:37Then he does do that rhythm section in the whole gap.
09:41It's wild, isn't it?
09:42You're not kidding.
09:42The variance in that one lane alone is much larger than we usually see.
09:47As you were saying earlier in the evening,
09:50there's Anstey still trying to keep Deegan on us.
09:52Two seconds, the gap.
09:53J.T.?
09:54Well, we're just watching Hayden Deegan here.
09:58It's so interesting.
09:59It's almost a study in sports psychology here
10:01because most champions, Rick, and I love your opinion on this,
10:05they always preach,
10:06hey, you don't want to be too antagonistic with your rivals.
10:09You don't want to give them a reason to go at you unnecessarily,
10:13but Hayden Deegan goes about it a completely different way.
10:15Tonight, he's just going at Levi's kitchen relinquiously
10:18after he beats him.
10:20We saw the run-in with Max Nancy,
10:22and they had a war of worms during the weekend,
10:24but it really has never caught up to Hayden Deegan
10:26other than one time in St. Louisville kitchen.
10:29And you just wonder, as he continues to progress,
10:31he moves to the 450 class,
10:33is it ever going to catch up,
10:34or is Hayden Deegan going to continue to do
10:36and say what he wants and get away with it?
10:39Well, that's a great observation, J.T.,
10:42and I think that we've spoken about it.
10:44I know I've said it here on the broadcasts.
10:46I think eventually it catches up with you.
10:49Is he going to continue to do it?
10:51We'll just have to wait and see.
10:52Listen, I've done a lot of things wrong,
10:54and I've done a few things right,
10:55and I just particularly think that you don't want to make enemies
10:59because someday you're going to need help coming from the back.
11:03And guys can hog the track up and ride a wide bike,
11:07and especially the 450 division.
11:09You know, like, if you're 7th place
11:11and you're trying to catch the championship contender
11:14and you're a championship contender as well,
11:16they're just not going to make it easy on you,
11:19and they make life difficult.
11:21And so I think, J.T., that's what you're kind of alluding to,
11:24is, like, you're going to need some paybacks every now and then.
11:28Look at Levi Kitchen, R.C.
11:30He just made the move on Boland and now McAdoo,
11:32all, of course, in one lap.
11:34So Boland has been shoved all the way back to 5th,
11:37and Kitchen is really rolling now.
11:38Oh, seat balance over that triple.
11:45So this will secure second overall for Kitchen for sure.
11:48We'll be looking at a 2-2-3.
11:51McAdoo, this will be his 25th career podium.
11:55If he can get this done.
11:57That's a lot.
12:00That's crazy.
12:01Yeah, it is.
12:02That's wild.
12:03But honestly, McAdoo had a very,
12:06not very much fanfare when he moved first into the pro ranks.
12:10He's with the Smart Top Moto Concepts Honda team.
12:14Eventually got the Geico Honda.
12:15But really by the time he got to this team,
12:18Pro Circuit Kawasaki,
12:19he has been a podium guy more often than not.
12:21Yeah, for sure.
12:22That's when it elevated.
12:23And he talked to us in the offseason, I remember.
12:26This is what I love, what he had to say is,
12:28I mean, he really wants to pay back Mitch
12:30for giving him these opportunities.
12:32He's been hurt quite a bit,
12:34and Mitch is still stuck behind him through thick and thin,
12:37and he really appreciates that.
12:39And you can hear it in his voice,
12:40I mean, just how appreciative he is
12:42to be in the spot that he is.
12:44And Steve.
12:45Okay, now Deegan might be,
12:47as we mentioned,
12:48these riders today do tend to try to manage leads.
12:52But Anstey does not care.
12:53He's going for it.
12:54Overall, this is a great run for Anstey,
12:56and I'm stoked to see him get back up there.
12:59And again, he can build on this
13:01and carry that momentum into Glendale.
13:04This is a fantastic ride.
13:05He's had a rough go at it starting last week,
13:08or actually San Diego.
13:12This is it.
13:12Hayden Deegan.
13:14Very few things he hasn't done.
13:15How about this?
13:17Sweeps.
13:18Triple Crown Racing in Houston.
13:21Hayden Deegan, 1-1-1 in Texas.
13:26That trick.
13:28That's tough to do, man.
13:30To go 1-1-1 in a Triple Crown.
13:33But going back to us,
13:34and if I had any advice for Hayden outside of that,
13:35enjoy these wins.
13:37Because they're not always going to come this effortless.
13:40I mean, there's a lot of guys who you thought for sure
13:44it was going to happen forever and ever.
13:46You never know in this game.
13:48Yeah.
13:49But in the 250s, Deegan is absolutely in control.
13:52There's Kitchen.
13:53Finally.
13:54Finally has a solid night.
13:56The headline in many ways might be the battles with Deegan,
13:59but seriously, if you said Kitchen's going to get a podium,
14:03that's what the guy needed in the worst way.
14:05Yeah, 100%.
14:06And it's no surprise, though.
14:07We know he's that good.
14:09Great job.
