00:00Every now and then, there's a special athlete that comes into our lives that reminds us, out of the blue,
00:07just how awesome and special they are.
00:10And there are times, I think you'd agree, we sometimes take them for granted.
00:14Absolutely.
00:14And I think this is one of those cases, because last night, Steph Curry, once again, turned back the hands
00:22of time, was the best player on the court, period, stop, went for damn near 40 last night.
00:28And while the Golden State Warriors were down by 13 points with just under 10 minutes to go, he, and
00:37I got to give Al Horford credit, because he knocked down four threes in that fourth quarter as well.
00:42Yes, he did, yep.
00:42But Steph Curry, again, makes you have to, I think, reconsider your top five NBA players of all time.
00:50Because there's some people that say, well, am I really going to put, although the greatest jump shooter, the greatest
00:55shooter of all time in my top five?
00:57He's not a world-class defender.
00:59No.
01:00He's not 6'6".
01:01But last night, for me, was another example why, if you don't have Steph Curry in your top five, you
01:10don't know basketball.
01:11Steph Curry last night willed the Golden State Warriors to the next round, trying to get back into the playoffs
01:18and beyond.
01:19And he was a joy to watch.
01:21And while I'm at it, because I told you I'll never lie to you, and I'll always tell you the
01:26truth as I see it, last night was also a reminder that a guy that I am not a fan
01:31of is a world-class defensive basketball player.
01:35Yes, he is.
01:35Because Draymond Green last night, it was two possessions, like two out of three possessions, maybe two out of four.
01:41Fourth quarter.
01:42In the fourth quarter, guarding Kawhi Leonard.
01:45One-on-one.
01:45It was one-on-one.
01:47It was mano a mano.
01:49I'm damn near 38 years old.
01:51You're at the time still.
01:53One of the great scorers in the league, and he shut him down.
01:58Kawhi Leonard in the fourth quarter, goose egg.
02:00And had two turnovers that led to fast-break points for Golden State that helped them finish off that comeback.
02:07So you had Steph Curry, and you had Draymond Green doing what they do best, and it was a joy
02:13to watch.
