00:00Let's lead off with an injury update. Last week when we did episode seven, we talked about Franz
00:06Wagner getting hurt and we didn't know the time frame. The time frame is now out for Franz Wagner
00:11who should be out according to Sham Sharania out two to four weeks with that left high ankle
00:18sprain. And let's be honest folks, it looked far worse than what I thought it was going to be. I
00:23was worried about his knee when he went down in that collision with Huckporti of the Knicks
00:27two Sundays ago. Now Franz is getting 22.7 points per game, 6.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, shooting
00:3536% from three and 49% from the floor. And his absence looked for Apollo Bancaro to continue
00:41to step up. Desmond Bain would be a little bit more of a scorer, especially off the bounce.
00:47Wendell Carter Jr. And maybe a little bit of Anthony Black coming off the bench as Orlando
00:52Magic continues to be a top five team in the Eastern Conference. Let's go to the Western
00:58Conference where Derrick Lively, who's been out, has now been ruled out for the year. Derrick
01:02Lively will undergo season ending right foot surgery to take away a lingering discomfort.
01:10That's according to Sham Sharania and Tim McMahon. Lively was limited to only seven games this
01:15season and expected to make a full recovery. Derrick Lively really, you know, only getting
01:22you about 4.3 points, 5.3 rebounds per game. But the 1.6 shot blocks and the obviously the
01:3261% shooting is something that's going to be missed by Dallas Mavericks team that I still
01:37don't think has Daniel Gafford back. We have to kind of figure out what happens with this
01:41team because they're in such a for an interesting situation because if they can get healthy and
01:45Kyrie back, I really think they're extremely dangerous, but they continue to have injuries
01:49like they are having. What does Dallas do? Especially now that Nico Harrison has been let go.
01:57Let's stay in the Western Conference. Let's talk about Steph Curry. There's an interesting
02:00milestone that Steph Curry achieved over the weekend. We surpassed Michael Jordan for most 40
02:06point games after the age of 30. Steph Curry is getting you 29.6 points per game, 3.7 rebounds,
02:153.9 assists, shooting 41.2% from the floor and 48% I'm sorry, 42% from three, 48% from the floor.
02:23I want to have this discussion really quick. When people talk about the greatness of Jordan,
02:28you have to realize folks that even though Steph has that record, do know that Michael Jordan
02:33retired at the age of 30 in 1993. He missed the 93, 94 season. Furthermore, he came back for 17 games
02:43in 1995 when he gave up baseball. And when I mean gave up baseball, he gave up baseball on March 18th
02:50and came back to basketball March 19th, which means no ramp up, no training camp, no nothing.
02:57This is not a knock on Stephanie's longevity. This is more of a praise for Michael Jordan that missed,
03:03like I said, is age 30 year, age 31 year for most of the season, age 35 year, if you count 1999 after the Bulls
03:11won their second three-peat and age 36 and the, when, which would have been two years after the 98 finals.
03:19Simply put, if Michael Jordan played 94, 95, 99, 2000, Jordan would have this record.
03:27He probably would have the all-time scoring record as well.
