00:05We had four of us that had to get her in the car.
00:11I didn't even know what I was getting myself into.
00:15She was just depressed and had absolutely no personality or energy left in her.
00:24I was getting blisters on my hands from taking her up and taking her outside.

00:32One day, we were throwing the tennis ball around and she perked her ears up.
00:37And we were like, that's weird.
00:40She's been so sad and miserable this whole time.
00:45So we threw it towards her and she just went nuts.

00:50In that moment, I was just so grateful because I was like, we need something to keep this dog going.

00:57I still remember the first moment where she was ever able to stand up on her own.

01:09And then from there, it took a few months to get her to be ready to go on a walk.

01:15We started going from the front door just down the driveway.
01:25A couple months before, I did have another golden retriever, Georgia, that was obese,
01:30who sent through that whole process.
01:33I was hesitant because I lost her.

01:38Something inside of me was like, Georgia sent this dog to me.
01:43I got to fight for her.
01:46Here she goes.
01:48One day, I was like, we're going to take her on a real walk.
01:53No more excuses.
01:54We really need to get you moving.
01:57We like to put this on.
02:00Seeing her personality and how much of a fighter she was, how could you not fall in love with her?
02:12Franny reached her goal weight.
02:13We tried to get her around 60 pounds.
02:16She dipped below that and got to 59 pounds.
02:20And she's been continuing to be at that weight.
02:25Everything she does now would be totally impossible for her to do when we first got her.
02:33She got to go to Dog Beach for the first time this summer.

02:47Not even physically, but mentally and mentally?
02:49I still see her getting happier every day.
02:55She just really gave me everything back that I gave her.
02:59I couldn't thank her enough for all of her love.
