Will Cain: Is this all a joke to Iran?
Transcript
00:00Live from Texas, this is The Will Cain Show, where we begin with a Fox News alert.
00:05Right now, at the White House, President Trump is meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Ruta
00:11after securing a two-week ceasefire.
00:13He's the man, Mark Ruta, the NATO Security General.
00:17Trump got a meeting with him right now.
00:19...fire in exchange for, in part, reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
00:23It's a high-stakes meeting for NATO.
00:25As Trump continues to question, after a denial of flyover rights and impotence from countries
00:31like Spain and France, whether or not the alliance benefits the United States, if that meeting
00:36opens up or anything is learned, we will bring that to you.
00:40But first, we begin with that ceasefire.
00:42Two big...
00:43Ceasefire is not in process right now.
00:45It is not in process because it's been broken by the Israel.
00:50Israel attacked the Barrett.
00:51Barrett is in Lebanon.
00:53You can see right here.
00:54...questions today.
00:55The first, will it hold?
00:57At this hour, it's not clear.
00:59Iran's state media reporting the regime closed the Strait of Hormuz in response to Israeli
01:04attacks on Lebanon.
01:05That's a problem because, for President Trump, opening the Strait was a non-negotiable part
01:11of the ceasefire.
01:12Not part of the ceasefire?
01:14Israel's actions in Lebanon.
01:16President Trump telling PBS this morning Lebanon was, quote, not included in the deal because
01:21of Hezbollah, calling it a separate skirmish.
01:25But Iran clearly has different ideas.
01:28Iran said, no, we want Lebanon to not be fired.
01:31We want Lebanon to be free from all the Israeli attacks, Hezbollah and everything.
01:36The U.S. is in violation of three points of their proposal.
01:41Lebanon, a drone, an Iranian airspace, and denial of Iran's right to enrichment.
01:46This three points of proposal had walleted by United States.
01:50Iran claims it.
01:52All things the U.S. has said are no-goes.
01:56Begging the question, is this all a joke to Iran?
01:59Is it a joke?
02:00Still, the White House today says, rest assured, the Strait is open.
02:05With respect to the first reporting out of Iranian state media, the president was made
02:09aware of those reports before I came to the podium.
02:12That is completely unacceptable.
02:14And again, this is a case of what they're saying publicly is different privately.
02:17We have seen an uptick of traffic in the Strait today.
02:20And I will reiterate the president's expectation and demand that the Strait of Ramon...
02:25The main concierge's conclusion here, it is that the White House said expectation that
02:32the Strait reopened immediately.
02:36...is reopened immediately, quickly, and safely.
02:40That is his expectation.
02:41It has been relayed to him privately that that is what's taking place, and these reports publicly
02:46are false.
02:47Another good sign, sending in heavy hitters for negotiations.
02:50This is what we have from the U.S., and the U.S. sending negotiators to Pakistan for talks.
02:57Pakistan is the middleman right here for negotiations between both countries.
03:02...associations, including Vice President Vance, who just spoke in the last 30 minutes on a run.
03:08J.D. Vance, going for Pakistan.
03:10I sat on the phone a lot.
03:11I answered a lot of phone calls.
03:12I made a lot of phone calls.
03:14And again, I'm happy about where we are.
03:16I think the President has struck a good deal for the American people, but fundamentally,
03:20the Iranians have got to take the next step, or the President has a lot of options to go
03:24back to the war.
03:25I wanted to be involved because I thought I could make a difference, and obviously, I
03:28think the people really on the ground doing the day-to-day...
03:30What do you all guys think?
03:33Can J.D. Vance be able to make a difference?
03:37He's going to Pakistan to do the negotiations with the Iranian supreme leaders.
03:43...associating.
03:44I've been Steve and Jared, they've done a great job, but we're going to keep on working
03:48this as a team, as we always have.
03:51Now, to the other burning question today.
03:54What it is?
03:55Will anything the President does ever be good enough for those afflicted with TDS?
04:01It appears the answer is no.
04:03Oh, damn.
04:04Not even victory.
04:05Hey, it's Will Kane.
04:06This is what something.
04:07All right, let's see what will happen.
