00:00Trinidad and Tobago taking away a total of 59 medals.
00:04It became a familiar sight to see TNT's athletes on the podium.
00:07And here's how they got there in Martinique.
00:10Zahara Antony pulled off one of the best victories of the tournament
00:13in the girls' freestyle 11 to 12 400 meters.
00:16It was the perfect execution of strategy.
00:20Gabriella Bav was leading for the majority of the race with an early burst of speed.
00:24Antony kept it simple but within reach in third at the 200 meter mark.
00:29But in the last 75 meters, she would turn this race completely around.
00:36Oh boy, oh boy.
00:37Gabriella Bav in first position.
00:39What's that going to happen?
00:40It's coming back strong, very strong.
00:42Zahara Antony.
00:43No, maxillation.
00:45She might know.
00:46She might pass her.
00:47Oh la la.
00:48She's been waiting for it this whole time.
00:50It's going through for Trinidad.
00:55Zahara Antony.
00:56Zahara Antony is showing it's not always about speed as she wins gold in 4 minutes, 50.93 seconds.
01:10It was not even close in the girls' 13 to 14 200 meter backstroke as Taylor Marchand won
01:15by over a body length over her competitors.
01:17It was just that type of competition for Tier 10.
01:21Some races were extremely close while in other races they had nothing to debate.
01:26It must have been challenging for the athletes often swimming races on short notice.
01:30And Fernie Bernard taking second in the 100 meter breaststroke in the 15 to 17 age group category.
01:36And he was also part of the 15 to 17 boys 4 by 100 meter relay team that set a
01:42new Karifta record.
01:44That team also included Liam Carrington, Jaden Mills and Isaiah Alexander.
01:49They shattered the record set by Bahamas with a time of 3 minutes 53.33 seconds.
01:55The previous record by Bahamas stood at 3 minutes 54.32 set in 2019.
02:01Also breaking Karifta records were Ethan McMillan Cole and Serenity Pantin.
02:07And last but not least, the Karifta swimming kingpin Liam Carrington.
02:33What a tournament he had.
02:35He produced five record-breaking performances.
02:38He broke the 50, 100 and 200 meter backstroke records, the 200 IM and 100 meter freestyle records.
02:47It's important to note that it's his last Karifta Aquatics Championships.
