00:09Now let's get right to it.
00:11We're starting things off with what happened today.
00:13A strong isolated thunderstorm that was centered over Daigle Martin and surrounding areas,
00:19producing locally heavy to intense rainfall and frequent lightning.
00:22Port of Spain and surrounding areas were also affected.
00:26Rainfall then extended into parts of the east-west corridor,
00:29while Tobago experienced variably cloudy conditions with scattered showers.
00:34Now, numerous reports of street flooding were reported.
00:38Moving on now to what we can expect tonight.
00:41Tonight, we'll experience subtle conditions as the evening progresses,
00:45but with brief lingering showers in some areas,
00:47with minimum temperatures at 25 degrees in Trinidad and 26 in Tobago.
00:53And for tomorrow, don't even think about putting away the umbrellas just yet
00:56because you will need them.
00:59The Met Office says conditions will be initially fair,
01:03becoming partly cloudy from late morning to late afternoon,
01:06with a few light to moderate showers that can become heavy,
01:10mainly over Trinidad.
01:11So unless you don't mind getting your hair wet, gear up accordingly.
01:15Maximum temperatures will reach up to 33 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago.
01:20Now, remember, in the event of heavy showers or thunderstorms, gusty winds are to be expected
01:26and straight to flash flooding likely.
01:29And there's more rain ahead for the next two days.
01:32Wednesday, look out for fair morning and partly cloudy afternoon with showers.
01:36Heavy showers kind of occur over Trinidad during the afternoon
01:39and over Tobago and northeast Trinidad during the evening.
01:42And on Thursday, things will get gloomier with cloudy skies from pre-dawn to mid-afternoon
01:48that will be accompanied by some more showers.
01:51So our sun times now in Trinidad, sunrise is at 5.56 and 5.52 in Tobago
01:57and sunset at 6.23 in Trinidad and 6.20 in Tobago.
02:01And for our seas, well, seas will be moderate with waves, 1.5 meters in open waters
02:06and near 1 meter, occasionally choppy, in sheltered areas.

02:21To some international news now, at least 68 people have been killed
02:26and more than 200 injured after a magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck Indonesia early on Saturday.
02:33The official debt toll has been rising as a search and rescue operation continue.
02:39The National Disaster Management Agency says more than 4,500 homes were damaged by the quake
02:46and the dozens of aftershocks that followed.
02:49Aftershocks included a magnitude 6.4 earthquake in parts of western Indonesia.
02:56And over in Hawaii, severe flash floods and mudslides occurred
03:00after Category 1 Hurricane Lala passed near the Big Island on Saturday.
03:06More than 100 properties were damaged after 32 inches of rain fell
03:11and over 200,000 households lost power.
03:15Although Lala has weakened our tropical storm,
03:18officials warn that the threat of further flooding remains.
