00:14In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, the grace of
00:19our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God in the communion of the Holy Spirit be
00:23with you all. Dear brothers and sisters, as we continue to rejoice in
00:29the company of the risen Savior on these eight great days of Easter, we acknowledge
00:35our need for God, our complete dependence on Him. In a special way today, I invite
00:42you to pray with one of our priests, Father Tom, whose friend Greg is going
00:46through an operation today. We pray for him and for the success of that operation
00:51and also for continued help for him and his recovery. Also, I invite you to pause
00:57for a few moments so that in the silence of your hearts, you can also offer your
01:01prayers to God.
01:11As usual, you can feel free to put your intentions in the comment box of our
01:15mass so that others can also pray for you. So, dear brothers and sisters, let us
01:20acknowledge our sins and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred
01:24mysteries.
01:28Lord Jesus, you are the image of the unseen God. Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. You
01:34are the firstborn of all creation. Christ, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. You are the head
01:39of the body of the church. Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. May Almighty God have mercy on us,
01:46forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life. Glory to God in the
01:52highest and on earth, peace of people of goodwill. We praise you. We bless you. We
01:58adore you. We glorify you. We give you thanks for your great glory. Lord God,
02:05heavenly King, O God, almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, only begotten Son. Lord God, Lamb of God,
02:14Son of the Father. You take away the sins of the world. Have mercy on us. You take away the
02:22sins of
02:22the world. Receive our prayer. You are seated at the right hand of the Father. Have mercy on us.

02:37with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen. Let us pray.
02:45O God, who gladden us year by year with the solemnity of the Lord's resurrection,
02:52graciously grant that by celebrating these present festivities, we may merit through them to reach
03:00eternal joys. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the
03:06Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen.
03:12A reading from the Acts of the Apostles.
03:18Once when Peter and John was going up to the temple for the prayers of the night hour,
03:27it happened that there was a man being carried past. He was a cripple from birth, and they used to
03:38put him
03:39down every day near the temple entrance called the beautiful gate so that he could beg from the people
03:48going in. When this man saw Peter and John on their way in the temple, he begged from them. Both
04:00Peter and John looked
04:02straight at him and said, Look at us. He turned to them expectantly, hoping to get something from them. But
04:14Peter said,
04:14I have neither silver nor gold, but I will give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ,
04:25the Nazarene, work. Peter then took him by the hand and helped him to stand up.
04:35He jumped up. Instantly, his feet and ankles became firm. He jumped up, stood, and began to work.
04:48And he went with them into the temple, walking and jumping and praising God. Everyone could see him walking and
05:00praising God.
05:01God. And they recognized him as the man who used to sit begging at the beautiful gate of the temple.
05:10They were all autonomous and unable to explain what had happened to him.
05:19This is the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.
05:24Responsorial Psalm. Our response is, Let all who seek the Lord rejoice.
05:32Let all who seek the Lord rejoice. Give thanks to the Lord. Tell his name. Make known he is among
05:40the peoples.
05:40For sing to him, sing his praise. Tell all his wonderful works.
05:47Let all who seek the Lord rejoice. Be proud of his holy name. Let the hearts that seeks the Lord
05:55rejoice.
05:56Consider the Lord and his strength. Constantly seek his face. Let all who seek the Lord rejoice.
06:17Let all who seek the Lord rejoice. He remembers his covenant forever. His promise for a thousand generations.
06:28The covenant he made with Abraham. The oath he swore to Isaac.
06:33Let all who seek the Lord rejoice. Let all who seek the Lord rejoice.
06:39Let all who seek the Lord rejoice.
06:42Alleluia. Alleluia. This is the day the Lord hath met. Let us rejoice and be glad. Alleluia.
06:56The Lord be with you.
06:58The Lord be with you. And with your spirit.
06:59A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke.
07:02Glory to you, O Lord.
07:04Two of the disciples of Jesus were on their way to a village called Emmaus, seven miles from Jerusalem.
07:12And they were talking together about all that had happened.
07:16Now, as they talked this over, Jesus himself came out and walked by their side.
07:21But something prevented them from recognizing him.
07:26He said to them, What matters are you discussing as you walk along?
07:31They stopped short, their faces downcast.
07:35Then one of them called Cleopas, answered him, You must be the only person staying in Jerusalem
07:42who does not know the things that have been happening there these last few days.
07:48What things? he asked.
07:51All about Jesus of Nazareth, they answered, who proved he was a great prophet by the things
07:58he said and did in the sight of God and of the whole people, and how our chief priests and
08:04our leaders
08:05handed him over to be sentenced to death and had him crucified.
08:11Our own hope had been that he would be the one to set Israel free.
08:16And this is not all. Two whole days have gone by since it all happened, and some women from our
08:22group have astounded us. They went to the tomb in the early morning,
08:27and when they did not find the body, they came back to tell us they had seen a vision of
08:33angels
08:33who declared he was alive. Some of our friends went to the tomb and found everything exactly
08:41as the women had reported, but of him they saw nothing. Then he said to them, You foolish men,
08:50so slow to believe the full message of the prophets.
08:54Was it not ordained that the Christ should suffer and so enter into his glory?
09:01Then starting with Moses and going through all the prophets, he explained to them the passages
09:07throughout the scriptures that were about himself. When they drew near to the village
09:15to which they were going, he made as if to go on. But they pressed him to stay with them.
09:23It is nearly evening, they said, and the day is almost over. So he went in to stay with them.
09:31Now while he was with them at table, he took the bread and said the blessing.
09:36Then he broke it and handed it to them. And their eyes were opened and they recognized him. But he
09:45had
09:45vanished from their sight. Then they said to each other, Did not our hearts burn within us as he talked
09:53to us on the road and explained the scriptures to us? They set out that instant and returned to Jerusalem.
10:02There they found the eleven assembled together with their companions who said to them,
10:07Yes, it is true. The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.
10:14Then they told their story of what had happened on the road and how they had recognized him at the
10:21breaking of bread. The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
10:46Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received the bread we offer you,
10:51fruit of the earth and work of human hands. It will become for us the bread of life.
10:56Blessed be God forever.
11:13Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you,
11:18fruit of the vine and work of human hands. It will become for us our spiritual drink.
11:24Blessed be God forever.
11:37Pray brothers and sisters that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God the almighty Father.
11:43May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name for our good
11:51and the good of all his holy church.
11:53Receive, we pray, O Lord, the sacrifice which has redeemed the human race.
11:58And be pleased to accomplish in us salvation of mind and body, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
12:06The Lord be with you. Lift up your hearts. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
12:15It is truly right and just our duty and our salvation at all times to acclaim you, O Lord.
12:22But in this day above all, to lord you yet more gloriously, when Christ our Passover has been sacrificed.
12:30For he is the true lamb who has taken away the sins of the world. By dying he has destroyed
12:38our death, and by rising restored our life.
12:41Therefore overcome with pascal joy every land every people exalts in your praise.
12:47And even the heavenly powers with the angelic hosts sing together the unending hymn of your glory as they acclaim,
12:56Holy, holy, holy, holy Lord, God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.
13:06Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
13:17You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness. Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending
13:24down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall,
13:27so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
13:34At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion, he took bread, and giving thanks broke it,
13:42and gave it to his disciples, saying,
13:45Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body, which will be given up for
13:53you.
14:16In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks, he gave it
14:24to his disciples, saying,
14:25Take this, all of you, and drink from it, for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of
14:33the new and eternal covenant,
14:35which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in memory of
14:43me.
15:06The mystery of faith.
15:09When we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim your death, O Lord, until you come again.
15:17Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection, we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and
15:23the chalice of salvation,
15:25giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
15:31Humbly we pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ, we may be gathered into one by the
15:37Holy Spirit.
15:39Remember, Lord, your church spread throughout the world, and bring her to the fullness of charity,
15:44together with Leo our Pope, and Charles our Bishop, and all the clergy.
15:49Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
15:55and all who have died in your mercy. Welcome them into the light of your face.
16:01Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with Blessed Joseph, her
16:07spouse,
16:09with the blessed Apostles, and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,
16:13we may merit to be coheirs to eternal life, and may praise and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.
16:23Through Him and with Him and in Him, O God Almighty Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
16:34O glory and honor is yours forever and ever. Amen.
16:52At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say,
16:57Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come,
17:03thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
17:07Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
17:12as we forgive those who trespass against us.
17:16And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
17:21Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days,
17:25that by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress,
17:31as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
17:36Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your Apostles,
17:42Peace I leave you, my peace I give you, look not on our sins,
17:46but on the faith of your Church,
17:48and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will,
17:52who live and reign forever and ever.
17:55Amen.
17:55The peace of the Lord be with you always.
17:58Amen.
17:58Let us offer each other the sign of peace.
18:02And peace be with you at home.
18:07Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the whole and come mercy on us!
18:13Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world and come mercy on us!
18:18Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world and grant us peace!
18:22Let's go.
18:23Let's go.
18:24Let's go.
18:25Let's go.
18:25Let's go.
18:25Let's go.
18:28Let's go.
18:29Let's go.
18:33Let's go.
18:33Let's go.
18:33Let's go.
18:34Let's go.
18:39Let's go.
19:19Let's go.
19:28Let's go.
19:52Let's go.
19:56Let's go.
