In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, the Lord be with you.
00:20
Dear friends, today we are celebrating one of the great saints ever in the church history.
00:27
So, as we come together to celebrate this new feast, let us come before God as we are.
00:40
Let us acknowledge our human frailties, human weaknesses, the moments and encounters that we fail to love in love.
00:50
But most importantly, let us acknowledge the merciful heart of God for us.
00:56
You are sent to heal the contrite of heart, Lord have mercy.
01:05
You came to call sinners, Christ have mercy.
01:09
You are seated at the right hand of the Father, but you intercede for us.
01:16
Lord have mercy.
01:18
May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and lead us into life everlasting.
01:27
Let us pray.
01:28
Renew in your church, we pray O Lord, the spirit with which you endowed your bishops and novice team,
01:42
that fill with the same spirit, we may trust for you, the soul fount of true wisdom, and seek you, the author of heavenly love.
01:55
Through our Lord Jesus Christ your son, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever.
02:05
Reading a first letter of Saint John.
02:12
My dear people, let us love one another, since love comes from God.
02:19
And everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God.
02:26
Anyone who fails to love can never have known God, because God is love.
02:35
God's love for us was revealed when he sent into the world his only son, that we could have life through him.
02:46
This is the love I mean, not our love for God, but God's love for us, when he sent his son to be the sacrifice that takes our sins away.
02:59
My dear people, since God has loved us so much, we too should love one another.
03:07
No one has ever seen God, but as long as we love one another, God will live in us, and his love will be complete in us.
03:21
We can know that we are living in him, and he is living in us, because he lets share his spirit.
03:30
Ourselves saw and we testify that the father sent his son as the savior of the world.
03:39
If we acknowledge that Jesus is the son of God, God lives in him, and he is in God.
03:48
We ourselves have known and put our faith in God's love towards ourselves.
03:56
God is love, and anyone who lives in love lives in God, and God lives in him.
04:07
The word of the Lord.
04:09
Your response.
04:10
Lord, teach me your decrees.
04:15
How shall we young shall remain sinless?
04:18
By obeying your word.
04:20
I have sought you with all my heart.
04:23
Let me not stray from your commands.
04:26
Your response.
04:27
Lord, teach me your decrees.
04:30
I treasure your promise in my heart, lest I sinned against you.
04:37
Blessed are you, O Lord.
04:39
Teach me your statutes.
04:41
Your response.
04:42
Lord, teach me your decrees.
04:45
With my tongue, I have recounted the decrees of your lips.
04:50
I rejoice to do your will, as though all riches were mine.
04:56
Your response.
04:57
Lord, teach me your decrees.
04:59
Alleluia, Alleluia.
05:04
You have one Father.
05:06
Your Father in heaven.
05:08
You have one teacher.
05:10
The Lord Jesus Christ.
05:13
Alleluia.
05:14
The Lord be with you.
05:17
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.
05:21
Glory to you, O Lord.
05:24
Jesus said to his disciples,
05:28
You must not allow yourselves to be called Rabbi, since you have only one master.
05:37
And you all are brothers.
05:39
You must not call no one on earth your Father, since you have only one Father, and he is in heaven.
05:49
Now must you allow yourselves to be called teachers, for you have only one teacher, the Christ.
06:00
The greatest among you must be your servant.
06:03
Anyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and anyone who humbles himself will be exalted.
06:14
The Gospel of the Lord.
06:15
The Gospel of the Lord.
06:17
Blessed are you Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received this bread we offer you.
06:31
O Father, purity overarn your spirit and to the Lord, the God of all creation.
06:44
and humble yourself and shine.
06:56
Blessed be God of all creation,
06:58
for through your goodness we have received this wine we offer you.
07:01
Fruit of the vine and work of human hands,
07:04
it will become for us our spiritual drink.
07:07
Blessed be God forever.
07:09
With humble, sweet and kindred heart,
07:14
may we be accepted by you, O Lord.
07:17
May I have sacrificed in your sight this day.
07:19
Be pleased with you, Lord God.
07:21
Lord, wash me for my deities and cleanse me for us.
07:31
Pray, my brothers and sisters,
07:33
that my sacrifice and years
07:35
may be acceptable to God the Almighty Father,
07:38
the Almighty Father.
07:49
Celebrating the memorial of our salvation,
07:52
we humbly beseech your mercy, O Lord,
07:56
that this sacrament of your loving kindness
07:59
may be for us the sign of unity,
08:03
the bond of charity,
08:05
through Christ our Lord.
08:10
The Lord be with you.
08:12
Lift up your hearts.
08:14
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
08:18
It is truly right and just,
08:20
our duty and our salvation,
08:22
always and everywhere to give you thanks,
08:25
Lord, Holy Father,
08:27
Almighty and eternal God,
08:29
through Christ our Lord.
08:32
As on the festival of St. Augustine,
08:34
you bid your church rejoice.
08:37
So, too, you strengthen her
08:39
by the example of his holy life
08:42
and teach her by his words of preaching
08:46
and keep her safe in answer to his prayers.
08:49
And so, with the company of angels and saints,
08:54
we sing the hymn of your praise,
08:57
as without end we acclaim,
09:00
Holy, Holy, Holy,
09:03
Lord God of hosts,
09:05
heaven and earth are full of your glory,
09:08
Hosanna in the highest.
09:09
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
09:12
Hosanna in the highest.
09:22
You are indeed holy, O Lord,
09:24
and fount of all holiness.
09:27
May I call it therefore this gift we pray,
09:30
by sending down your street upon them like a dewfall,
09:34
so that they may become for us
09:35
the body and the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:41
At the time he was betrayed
09:44
and entered willingly into his passion,
09:47
he took bread, giving thanks,
09:50
broke it and gave it to his disciples saying,
09:54
Take this, all of you, and eat of it,
09:58
for this is my body which will be given up for you.
10:03
In a similar way, when supper was ended,
10:19
he took the chalice,
10:21
and once more giving thanks,
10:23
he gave it to his disciples saying,
10:26
Take this, all of you, and drink from it.
10:30
For this is the chalice of my blood,
10:34
the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
10:38
which will be poured out for you and for many,
10:41
for the forgiveness of sins.
10:44
Do this in memory of me.
10:47
The mystery of faith, we proclaim your death, O Lord,
11:03
and profess your resurrection, until you come again.
11:06
Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection,
11:13
we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
11:18
giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
11:24
Humbly we pray that partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
11:32
we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
11:35
Remember, Lord, your church spread throughout the world,
11:40
and bring her to the fullness of charity,
11:43
together with Leo our Pope and Charles our Bishop and all the clergy.
11:48
Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
11:55
and all who have died in your mercy.
11:57
welcome them into the light of your face.
12:02
Have mercy on us all, we pray,
12:05
that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
12:08
with blessed Apostles,
12:10
and all the saints, St. Augustine, St. Monica,
12:15
and who have pleased you throughout the ages,
12:18
we may merit to be coerals to eternal life,
12:22
and may we praise and glorify you,
12:24
through your Son, Jesus Christ.
12:32
Through Him, and with Him, and in Him,
12:35
O God Almighty Father,
12:37
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
12:40
all glory and honor is yours,
12:43
forever and ever.
12:45
Amen.
12:49
At the Savior's command, and formed by divine teaching,
12:51
we dare to pray.
12:54
Our Father, who art in heaven,
12:57
hallowed be thy name.
12:59
Thy kingdom come,
13:00
thy will be done,
13:02
on earth as it is in heaven.
13:04
Give us this day our daily bread,
13:07
and forgive us our trespasses,
13:10
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
13:13
and lead us not into temptation,
13:15
but deliver us from evil.
13:18
Deliver us, Lord, we pray from everyone,
13:22
graciously grant peace in our days,
13:25
that by the help of your mercy,
13:28
we may be always free from sin,
13:31
and safe from all distress.
13:33
As we await the blessed hope,
13:36
and the coming of our Savior,
13:38
Jesus Christ.
13:40
For the kingdom, the power,
13:41
and the glory are yours,
13:43
now and forever.
13:45
Lord Jesus Christ, who sent your apostles,
13:47
peace I leave you,
13:49
my peace I give you.
13:51
Look not on our sins,
13:53
but on the faith of your Church,
13:55
and graciously grant our peace and unity,
13:57
in accordance with your will,
13:59
for he will reign forever and ever.
14:02
Peace of the Lord be with you always.
14:05
Let us offer each other a sign of peace.
14:07
Peace be with you.
14:14
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
14:18
have mercy on us.
14:20
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
14:22
have mercy on us.
14:24
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
14:25
crown us this.
14:44
Behold the Lamb of God,
14:46
behold him who has taken away the sins of the world,
14:50
blessed are we who are called to the supper of the Lamb.
14:53
of the Lamb.
14:58
The body and blood of Jesus Christ is living in the blood.
15:00
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
15:07
I love you above all things and I desire to receive you into my soul.
15:12
Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
15:15
come at least spiritually into my heart.
15:17
I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you.
15:23
Never permit me to be separated from you.
15:26
Amen.
15:28
Let us pray.
15:29
May partaking of the Christ table,
15:34
sanctify us, we pray our Lord,
15:38
that being made members of his body,
15:42
we will become what we have received,
15:46
through Christ our Lord.
15:47
As you know, our current Holy Father,
15:53
Pope Leo is an Augustinian.
15:55
He is come from the Order of St. Augustine.
15:58
So as we celebrate the feast day of St. Augustine,
16:01
let us pray for the intentions of the Holy Father.
16:04
Let us pray together.
16:07
Our Father, who art in heaven,
16:09
hallowed be thy name.
16:11
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
16:13
on earth as it is in heaven.
16:15
Give us this day our daily bread,
16:18
and forgive us our trespasses,
16:20
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
16:23
And lead us not into temptation,
16:26
but deliver us from evil.
16:27
Amen.
16:29
Hail Mary, full of grace,
16:30
the Lord is with you.
16:32
Blessed are you among women,
16:34
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
16:37
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
16:39
pray for us sinners,
16:41
now and at the hour of our death.
16:43
Amen.
16:45
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
16:46
and to the Holy Spirit.
16:48
As it was in the beginning,
16:50
is now and ever shall be,
16:51
the world without end.
16:53
Amen.
16:55
The Lord be with you.
16:57
May Almighty God bless you,
16:58
the Father,
16:59
the Son,
17:00
and the Holy Spirit.
17:02
Go in peace,
17:03
and proclaim the gospel of your life.
17:06
God bless your name.
