00:00NFL news and notes to end out our number one. This is usually a lull, right? You have the
00:05offseason, the Super Bowl, free agency, and we're still a couple weeks away here from the NFL draft,
00:10which then keeps up right away into those rookie camps, OTAs, and before you know it,
00:15we'll be into training camp. But this is the time of the year where most teams like to figure out,
00:19okay, here's our salary cap. We paid our free agents. Now let's go up and down our roster to
00:24see if we have any contract negotiations we need to handle, which could mean, Joe,
00:27you know what? Let's restructure a contract or two so we can afford another player, or boy,
00:32this guy's really good and has wanted a contract in the offseason. Let's go to the New York Giants
00:35here. Dexter Lawrence has now requested a trade from the New York Giants. Why? Quote,
00:40there hasn't been any progress on contract negotiations between the two parties over
00:45the last two offseasons here. The big man unhappy in the Big Apple. Yeah, and listen, I don't know
00:52that they're going to budge on it. I mean, I know I get it. He's coming up at the end
00:56of a,
00:57you know, an extension, what we say with 90 million extension that he had signed a few years
01:03ago, which by the way, at the time, Donnie, was one of the top two or three highest paid deals
01:08for
01:09a defensive lineman like that. But now with the contract coming up, he's got, you know,
01:14he's 28. He's got, I think, another two years. Well, actually, he's got no guaranteed money in the
01:21final two years of the deal. So that's why he's trying to, well, he don't like that here. So,
01:26but we'll see. I think it's leverage, Donnie, right? It's not that he's not a good player or
01:31not probably worth it. It's all about leverage. And right now it looks like the Giants have it.
01:36And now let's see if they don't like what they see or the contract can't be met. They trade him
01:40away. Maybe there's a whole defensive tackle. We look at the predictive markets here with Calci,
01:44Joe, the New York Giants first position drafted number two in line here at 29 cents is the drafted
01:50defensive lineman slash edge pass rusher. Oh, $100 investment would pay back $345. So if they move
01:57on from him, maybe they're looking at defensive line here, which is pretty stacked on that defensive
02:01line. But if he goes, maybe they need another D tackle. Let's flip it down to Baltimore in the
02:05charm city. Lamar Jackson, Joe, is he buying into the new regime here? Ravens post a video of Lamar
02:12Jackson arriving for the first day of the off-season program. How about that?
02:17Yeah. Well, it's, uh, there was no, obviously it was no secret that he did not like, uh, the,
02:24the Harbaugh and Munkin, uh, combo there wasn't a big fan. So I'll tell you right now, they,
02:30they upended the entire organization for you. So you better be there, Donnie, and you better be a
02:35leader here. Otherwise, Oh boy, there's going to be a lot of head scratching going on with the Ravens.
02:41Yeah. It wasn't too long ago where Lamar Jackson wanted that new contract, had that knee injury,
02:45didn't decide to play a couple of games. And all of a sudden they're asking horrible. He's like,
02:49don't ask me, ask him. That was a bad deal here. That's a team that should have won a Superbowl
02:52with Lamar Jackson. We'll see if they can do it now. But first day of OTAs are basically all
02:56season training. It looks like he's buying in there, which could be a good sign here for the
03:00Ravens. How about Adam Schefter's tweet? How about, we just talked about the Ravens. What about the
03:03off-season workout programs beginning today on the seventh with Arizona, Atlanta, Buffalo,
03:08Cleveland, Las Vegas, Miami, New York Giants, Pittsburgh, and Tennessee? It feels like football
03:14season, Joe, is right around the corner. Yeah, it really does, doesn't it? But the draft will be
03:19here, Donnie. And that's where, you know, hope reigns come draft time, right? Get some fan bases,
03:26get a little excited about what could be in the future here. But ultimately, we all know it doesn't
03:33matter. The Jets are going to screw it up. Here's, yeah, here's an interesting one too at Las Vegas.
03:37We always anticipate that they would screw things up as well. They signed Kirk Cousins,
03:41signed up to a good chunk of change, which you like. But Kirk Cousins, to me, Joe, I was only
03:46under the impression that like, you're not letting me play in Atlanta. I want to go be a starter.
03:51So the Raiders sign him. I'm pretty sure they didn't tell you, by the way, Kirk, you're never
03:55going to start here because we're drafting Mendoza. So now Mendoza is scheduled to meet with the Raiders,
04:00but Kirk Cousins is there. I'm not saying there's any problems because there probably won't be the
04:05number one overall pick, but that was an interesting move of what you told Kirk and
04:09what you're now going to tell the number one overall pick, like slow your roll or Kirk's
04:13not going to be a problem. And Kirk's okay with not being a problem where he told you want to
04:17be
04:17the starter. Interesting dynamic here in Vegas now.
04:21Well, I mean, you guaranteed him another payday. I mean, he's still going to have Atlanta paying
04:26half the salary. He's going to have the Raiders guaranteeing the other half. And he's like,
04:32listen, at this point, I'll do whatever you want here. But I think it's a good move for the Raiders
04:37because it doesn't put the pressure on a, you know, on this kid to have to be everything on a
04:43rebuild anyway. They are not going to be ready to compete next year. Why get the kid killed?
04:49There's still a lot of things the Raiders need to do. And Kirk Cousins. Yeah, it makes sense.
04:55It's an interesting dynamic. It is because Kirk Cousins also is not that guy that's going to rock
04:59the boat. Like I'm not starting. I'm going to trade me or I'm not showing up. The dude has always
05:03put
05:03in his work, even if he disagreed. Also, by the way, when he went to Atlanta, they gave him so
05:07much
05:07money. He's like, are you kidding me? You just drafted a quarterback. Like, this is my team. No,
05:11it's not. Now it's your team again. Now you find yourself on a new team at this point.
05:14Kirk Cousins' bank only goes higher. That's what we're aiming to do in hour number two.
05:19Coming up next, right here in the early line. NFL draft is coming up at the end of this month.
05:24You say, well, yeah, that should be a good time. And it is going to be in Pittsburgh. So why
05:28not
05:28some Pittsburgh topics? And the Pittsburgh Steelers possibly going to be drafting a quarterback
05:33as their future? Because the question on Cal, she comes up, Joe Ranieri. Will Aaron Rodgers retire
05:37before the 2026-2027 season? Currently trading as a yes at only a 24% chance. But a few short
05:46weeks
05:46ago, Joe, March 14th, we were trading at a 51.5% chance of him possibly retiring. I don't think
05:53he does, but apparently he wants some money, Joe. So do you think there's a chance that Aaron
05:57Rodgers will not play a football game again for the rest of his career and retires before the start
06:02of the season? Well, the Steelers better hope not, right? Because the Steelers have passed on just
06:09about every other veteran quarterback option that has been available here. I mean, Tua, Kyler,
06:16Murray, Fields, Geno, all guys off the market now. So it does feel like their eggs are all in the
06:24Aaron
06:24Rodgers basket, but he's 42 years old. He's a free agent. He, you know, he's a year to year guy.
06:31There is the retirement risk here, but at this point, the way the Steelers are acting, it feels
06:38like they believe he's on his way back. So I hope for their sake he is, but boy, oh boy,
06:44there's always that risk when Aaron Rodgers that he wakes up and he's like, yeah, I'm done. I'm good.
06:49Thanks though, guys. Pittsburgh's week one starting quarterback from March 10th all the way up to
06:55March 23rd, it was Aaron Rodgers currently trading at a 99% chance. Something happened the next day,
07:01which dropped it down to 65%. And you see him currently right now at around 70%. I still think
07:07he will be that starting quarterback here, but this thing might get slow played. You probably
07:11will have your answer before the draft actually takes place. If he decides he's going to retire,
07:15not going to be left out in the cold with, oh, maybe we didn't want this guy or we're going
07:19to
07:19draft a quarterback at this point. I suspect you hear some topics here over the next couple of weeks
07:23on that. Another question in the NFL of who's going to be the starting quarterback in week
07:27number one in which franchise? It's those Miami Dolphins here. Certainly not going to be to a
07:31tag of Iowa anymore. It could be Quinn Ewers. It could be Malik Willis. And by the way,
07:36Quinn Ewers, Joe, actually trading at an 80% chance to be the week one starting quarterback.
07:41Why did you go and get Malik Willis then? What's going on in this market?
07:45Yeah, I have no idea what's going on here. I mean, they just signed him to a three-year deal
07:51and explicitly calling him their presumptive starting quarterback for the 26th season. So
07:56I do not have any idea why this is even a market unless you think maybe he's hurt or something
08:04along
08:04those lines. But yeah, no, I definitely think Malik Willis is your QB one in Miami.
08:10Yeah, not a lot of market flow in this, but also understand this. He's currently trading at a 72%
08:14chance, but his yes number for a contract is 99 cents here. So a $100 investment will pay back
08:19102. They're basically saying he's going to be the starter regardless of what the chances are coming
08:24out here on the marketplace. Pro football players to be traded, Joe. And I got to tell you, starting
08:30to come around here in Philadelphia that AJ Brown just might be on the move. And the reason being is
08:35here, he's listed at 75%. It's too quiet right now, Joe. If a player really wanted to be moved,
08:41they might just say, Hey, look, you know, that June one day, just settle in. Don't pull an AB out
08:47here. We'll get you to that place. The deal has already been handshaking on and we'll get you out
08:52of here. That's what I'm worried about, Joe. But AJ Brown at 75% with a chance to be traded.
08:58A-chan as well as another guy with the Dolphins. Yeah. Yeah. Brian Thomas Jr. Another guy,
09:05wide receiver there with the, with the Jags who let's face it. Now they've got Jacoby Myers.
09:11They got Washington. They got, they got a few other guys on that team now, especially coming
09:15back. Uh, and I don't know, is Keon Coleman going? Sam LaPorter we're hearing could also be traded. So
09:23there are some big name guys, guys, very familiar, not just AJ Brown that could absolutely have some
09:29value in this market. April 1st at 6am, Joe, AJ Brown chance to get traded 19.4%. AJ Brown today,
09:4075%. Somebody must know something or maybe they're just inflating that market here to come in on the
09:45opposite side. We'll find out Chicago pro football team relocation. Love this topic. As the bears have
09:51been telling you, we're going to make our mind up here in the spring, which means, Hey, Illinois.
09:55Hey, Chicago. You better up your ante because we're using Indiana for leverage. But how about this?
10:00A new location in Illinois, which means obviously not soldier field where it is. That's currently
10:06trading at a 67% chance. Indiana moving an entire state away. That's 33%. Do not relocate or announce
10:14a relocation. That's 8%, which means, ah, you know what? We're happy with soldier field. Nothing else
10:20more to see here, Joe. I think they stay in Illinois. I'm willing to go with the 67% chance
10:25that they stay
10:26there. Is there a date associated with this one, Donnie? Is it, do we have a certain time?
10:33If the Chicago pro football team relocates or officially announces a relocation to a new
10:37location in Illinois by the first game of the 2028 football season, Joe, not even this year,
10:44they're giving you some time. They're actually giving you some time here. And boy, can you,
10:49I find it hard to believe that they would let them leave and move to a different state. And I
10:55really
10:56do, Donnie. It would be, but nothing would shock me.
