00:03In 1944, the war was raging in Italy, and many people were forced to leave their homes, just like the
00:11family of our young hero.
00:13Unfortunately, while the boy was fleeing with his parents in a truck with other refugees, there was a bombing raid,
00:20and he was thrown out of the vehicle.
00:22His parents tried to get him back, but the bridge that they were crossing collapsed and separated them.
00:29Because of the shock, the little boy could no longer speak. He just kept repeating the same two words, Boo
00:35-Boom.
00:36So this was the name given to him by his new friends, Boldsteed, the wise horse, and Aurelia, the crafty
00:44cat.
00:44The two animals decided to help Boo-Boom find his parents.
00:48While looking for shelter at a deserted farm, Boo-Boom and his buddies met a funny swashbuckling rooster called Christopher.
00:55But they were attacked by a pack of stray dogs.
00:58As you know, sticking together makes you stronger.
01:02And thanks to everyone's teamwork, our heroes managed to escape.
01:06Christopher, the rooster, decided to tag along with them, too.
01:10And at dawn the following day, the group set off to continue their search for Boo-Boom's parents.
01:40Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
01:46Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
01:52Oh, hmm. Somebody should put a sock in that rooster's beak, please.
01:58Where is it you want to get to, Christopher?
02:02Anyplace where I can rest my tired feet.
02:05Huh? I was walking. You didn't see me, but I was.
02:10You were sitting behind Boo-Boom. I've already told you I'm not a boss.
02:16Only the boy rides on my back.
02:19How could you feel me? I'm a featherweight.
02:25Oh, all right already. I just wanted to keep Boo-Boom company.
02:30He looks a bit sad today.
02:37That old photo is all he's got left of his family.
02:41Don't worry, Boo-Boom. We'll find them soon.
02:44Won't we, guys?
02:48That's what we're here for.
02:50Got it? Featherweight? Get marching.
02:53Try and keep my pace, then.
02:56Just say if I'm going too fast, hey?
02:59I'm a champion of cross-country racing.
03:02I don't know if I ever told you about the time when...
03:18And you're the featherweight?
03:20I don't see many feathers, though.
03:23Hey, who's that speaking?
03:25Up here, champion.
03:33Boom-Boom.
03:35Oh, yeah. He sure did a Boom-Boom.
03:38Hey, you, Crow. Who do you think you are to laugh at him?
03:41Ah, thanks, Boldsteed.
03:44Right. We're the only ones who can make fun of him.
03:50Laugh it up, then. Where did that thing come from?
03:54That thing is called Boom-Boom.
03:55We found him along the road.
03:57He was traveling with his parents in a convoy of refugees.
04:00An airplane attacked them, and he was left behind.
04:02You're helping a boy?
04:04I can't figure out if you're very kind or just very stupid.
04:09Humans never do anything for us.
04:11Not all humans are bad.
04:14To live in peace, you need more trust, Crow.
04:17And less pine cones on your head.
04:21Ah! Ah!
04:23Ah! Anyway, if you're looking for those people, you're going the wrong way.
04:28Flying over here, I saw a group of humans heading towards the White Pass.
04:33Ah! There's a city on the other side of the mountain.
04:37They're all heading there.
04:39Did you hear that?
04:40Maybe we'll find them there.
04:45Thanks, Crow.
04:46No, don't thank me.
04:48I did it for me, not for you.
04:51Ah!
04:52You're funny to watch, and I want to have a good laugh seeing what you get up to.
04:56This war is so boring, you know.
04:59Well, look at Mr. Nice Guy.
05:02Laugh it up, then.
05:05Ah, this must be yours.
05:08You dropped it.
05:13I wonder if that made him laugh.
05:16Huh?
05:19Huh?
05:20Huh?
05:21Huh?
05:23Huh?
05:24Huh?
05:24Huh?
05:25Huh?
05:26Huh?
05:26May I?
05:27Huh?
05:35Come on!
05:37Let's quicken the pace!
05:39If we don't make too many stops,
05:41like tonight, Boom Boom will be back in his family's arms!
05:45Huh?
05:46Hmm?
05:50I haven't seen any boys here.
05:53Oh, I'm sorry.
05:55Oh, are you...
05:57Are you sure?
05:58Oh, I told you, I was the last to leave the town.
06:03They've all gone away, and you should do the same.
06:07The fighting's getting closer and closer.
06:12I'm going to Borgomoro.
06:15Everyone is gathering there.
06:17Ah.
06:18You might find your boy, too.
06:20Borgomoro?
06:21Follow the mountain road.
06:23And keep going.
06:25Keep going.
06:26And good luck.
06:46The mountain's getting closer, though.
06:49How long have we been walking?
06:52We're in urgent need of a rest here.
06:55Boom Boom can't keep his eyes open.
07:01Let's stop here.
07:03This little corner will do fine.
07:06It's sheltered and dry.
07:20Boom Boom will be hungry when he wakes up.
07:25I'll take care of getting him something to eat.
07:27I've got a nose for certain things.
07:31I can do that, too.
07:33Finding food is no trouble for hunters.
07:36And I, if you'll allow me, hunt.
07:42Oh, yeah, rooster.
07:43Nobody knows how to hunt out trouble better than you.
07:48We'll see.
07:50You don't know what I'm c-c-c-capable of.
07:52Borgomoro?
07:53The heart of a lion beats beneath this chicken breast.
08:00Don't shout.
08:01You'll wake up the boy.
08:03I'll be back with a ten-course meal.
08:06Nothing's impossible for me when I get to work.
08:13Behold, the great hunter in action.
08:16Behold, the lord of the forest.
08:19Beared by all.
08:21Whoa!
08:31As we were saying,
08:33behold, the lord of the forest.
08:35Respected by all.
08:37He moves silently and invisibly.
08:42As light as the wind.
08:45As ruthless as...
08:47As ruthless as a ruthless person.
08:55Oh!
08:56Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
08:57What's that I hear?
08:59It's a beehive!
09:07And a beehive means honey!
09:10Ha, ha, ha!
09:11Bop, bop!
09:11And boobo will love that!
09:14Ha, ha, ha, ha!
09:18Ha, ha, ha!
09:19Ha, ha, ha, ha!
09:20Ha, ha, ha, ha!
09:21Ha, ha, ha, ha!
09:21The bees won't notice a thing.
09:25Ha, ha, ha!
09:40Wasp!
09:41Don't make money!
09:42They just stink and make you hurt!
09:45Help!
09:47Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ouch!
09:50Ow, oh, oh, ouch!
10:17Mission accomplished.
10:22A bit of c-c-corn isn't bad.
10:25Will Boom Boom like it?
10:29Well, if he doesn't eat it, it won't go to waste.
10:33Target acquired.
10:35Huh?
10:36Huh?
10:37Behold the ferocious predator, ready to attack to the sound of his battle cry.
10:47Ha!
10:48Ha!
10:50Ha!
10:51Ha!
10:52Gotcha!
10:53Ha ha ha!
10:54Look, Reiner!
10:56No con food today.
10:58How long it's been since we ate one of these?
11:01A chicken!
11:02I'd almost forgotten what they look like.
11:04These potatoes were the perfect company for it.
11:07Ha ha ha!
11:09Oh!
11:13Oh!
11:15Oh!
11:15Oh!
11:15Oh!
11:15Hey!
11:16Excuse me!
11:17Where are we going?
11:18Where are you taking me?
11:20Oh!
11:21Should I be worried?
11:31I hope Christopher did better than me.
11:35Impossible.
11:37Where's that blunderer got to?
11:43Oh!
11:55Thanks, Boom Boom.
11:56You're welcome.
11:57Don't mention it.
11:59Get this guy.
12:00I bring the apples and he thinks the boy.
12:03Let's get cracking.
12:04Meow.
12:07Meow.
12:08If that rooster's in trouble, we're the only ones who can help him.
12:13Meow.
12:15Meow.
12:18Meow.
12:18Shh.
12:19Hm.
12:26Ah.
12:27The tracks stop here.
12:28Meow.
12:30Meow.
12:31Meow.
12:32Meow.
12:33Meow.
12:33Meow.
12:34Meow.
12:36Meow.
12:38Meow.
12:42Meow.
12:42And something must have occurred right here.
12:45Hmm.
12:46Christopher's feathers!
12:49What could have happened to him?
12:52Look.
12:53There are human footprints.
12:54Big heavy boots.
12:56Hmm.
12:58Farmers maybe.
13:00Meow.
13:01Meow.
13:01Or soldiers.
13:02Meow.
13:03Meow.
13:06I know what happened. I saw everything.
13:11Aurelia, spit him out immediately. He's a witness.
13:23He's a mouse.
13:26You've had your grass and your apple. My belly's still empty.
13:40But if you eat him, we'll never know what he's got to say about Christopher.
13:45Come on, speak up.
13:47Can I chew him a little bit afterwards, though?
13:50Just a nibble around.
13:53Aurelia?
13:57If I speak, will you promise not to hit me? Please?
14:03Oh, all right, then.
14:06The rooster stole my ear of corn.
14:08But all of a sudden, two soldiers turned up and took him away.
14:12They arrested him for an ear of corn?
14:14Oh, they sure are strict around here.
14:17The corn's got nothing to do with it. They snatched him to cook him for dinner.
14:22We haven't got a second to lose. Which way did they go?
14:25They took the path to Gloomy Pig.
14:28I know the way. Let's get going.
14:32I can't bite him. I can't chew him.
14:35Can I at least give him a lick?
14:38The champagne! You promised!
14:42You can eat later. Now we have to find Christopher.
14:45Oh, all right, then.
14:55But how are we going to find him?
15:02Excuse me.
15:05Could you turn me the other way up?
15:08It's impossible to eat this corn upside down.
15:12Nothing doing. He doesn't understand me.
15:16Whoa! You can tell he doesn't speak rooster.
15:33Huh. That rooster's smarter than I thought.
15:36He's left a trail of corn behind him.
15:39And to think you misjudged him.
15:57He's right. Keep quiet.
16:00That must be the soldier's camp.
16:14They've settled in nicely up here.
16:16I wonder why they're so hidden away like this.
16:18It's obvious, Boldsteed.
16:20They're chicken thieves.
16:22They're ashamed to show themselves in public.
16:24What do they use that for?
16:26It's bigger than those other tubes that go bang.
16:28Well, who knows?
16:30Maybe they use it to shoot at very big chickens.
16:34Stay here. I'll cut Christopher's rope and we'll hightail it out of here.
16:39So quiet.
16:40Don't look at me. I'm not to blame.
16:44Incoming aircraft!
16:47Get to your post!
16:51Don't worry, Boom Boom. I'm here with you.
16:54Boom Boom!
17:02Maybe we should come back later.
17:03We've come at a bad time.
17:05No. This is the right time.
17:07Nobody's paying us any attention.
17:15What's going on?
17:17Don't shoot! Don't shoot!
17:19I'm an innocent bystander!
17:20I'm just passing through!
17:24Help! Help!
17:26Help me!
17:31Boom Boom!
17:32Oh, my boy!
17:34I knew you wouldn't abandon me!
17:37What are they doing?
17:40Is this any time for games?
17:47No.
17:53What are you doing?
17:54Get out of here!
17:55It's dangerous!
17:59Come back!
18:01Put down my dinner!
18:03Leave my friends alone, you!
18:05What's going on?
18:06Help me!
18:08Come here!
18:09They are under attack!
18:16Oh, terrific!
18:17Aurelia is here, too!
18:19You're pleased?
18:21Shall we throw a party?
18:23I brought three friends.
18:24Wait till they find us.
18:26We'll have a whale of a time, you'll see.
18:29We need a hiding place.
18:30And we need one fast.
18:32In here.
18:35Mark, but it's full of tits!
18:37We'll squeeze up.
18:39Mark, move it!
18:44What are you doing here, little kid?
18:46Where are you hiding?
18:47Stay down, Boom Boom!
18:49And you two, stay right where you are!
18:51Smile!
18:55Who's that over there?
19:08Come on, Jack!
19:09We've got to bail out!
19:13But isn't my buddy Fred coming?
19:18You go ahead, Jack.
19:19I'll get this wreck down safely, and we'll regroup with the others on the ground.
19:31Geronimo!
19:37Geronimo!
19:38Strike me!
19:40I wasn't expecting this, but war's war.
19:42And Soldier Jack never chickens out!
19:45Geronimo!
19:52Thank you. Are you from around here? I need information, lad.
19:58You're not a lad? Well, lass, then.
20:03You're not a lass, either? So, what are you?
20:08A bee? Why didn't you say so? This is an operational mission, and you need a codemain.
20:13I'll call you B-17, okay?
20:17I need a reconnaissance of the area, sharpish. How are the German troops deployed? Have you seen any American units?
20:24What do you mean you're not interested in politics? Hey, come back here, darn it. This is insubordination, trooper.
20:35Huh?
20:37How do you get down from here?
20:43Everyone out! Run for your life!
20:47You're not going anywhere, my friend.
20:51Hey! The cavalry always shows up just in time, huh?
20:55Well, I'll be blown. It's... it's raining dogs.
20:59Soldier Jack, attached to the 7th Airborne Division of the United States Army. Number 687-633-119. Hmm?
21:08And this is Recruit B-17, Support and Logistics Division. You and I have to have a chat.
21:14Trooper, where did you all spring, bro?
21:16Bro? Oh, I think we've all got something to tell each other. But what do you say if we do
21:22it later?
21:24I'm not leaving here with empty paws. Grab as many tins of food as you can.
21:30This isn't tin food, they're smoke bombs.
21:33So, Oifa, where did you all go?
21:34And they've just given me an idea for you guys.
21:39Covering maneuver. Break ranks, troops. And watch where you put your feet.
21:45On your feet. Our dinner is getting away.
21:52Spooks. Get out of there.
21:56Oh, that's huge, it's so cool.
22:01Come on, come over here!
22:08Oh, back up!
22:19Shut up! Stupid!
22:21Wow, this canned fog is g-g-god stuff.
22:26Mission accomplished.
22:28So, you said your name's Jack.
22:29Well, Jack, you sure know how to liven up a cat's life.
22:34As if it weren't lively enough already, Brock.
22:38Thanks for the help, Jack.
22:45We've got a long journey ahead of us.
22:48And a smart guy like you could come in handy.
22:52Really?
22:53Which way are you headed?
22:54It's a long story.
22:56What do you say if I tell you along the way?
22:59Yes, sir. Keep going.
