10:58as a child.
10:59My father was a bit of a machista, very, like, manly type of man.
11:02And he didn't want me to show emotions.
11:04He didn't want any femininity from me.
11:06And so we stopped talking for six years and I, like, fell off the wagon in my darker moments.
11:11I kind of had pushed my self-esteem and my ability to use my voice to the back.
11:17I was so afraid to talk to my father again.
11:19But he has followed what I've been up to.
11:22And I think he learned that there's a respect there and there's an art form.
11:27Me and my father rekindled and fixed a relationship.
11:29And it was almost like the puzzle pieces fell in place.
11:32And I was able to take care of myself again, be healthy again, and really love myself.
11:40He is super supportive now.
11:42I can show him pictures of me in drag and he's like, oh, you look beautiful.
11:44It kind of has brought us all together.
11:45You know, when I see you dance and I see in the moment you are inspired by the music to
11:51do a certain move,
11:53that's the key to everything.
