03:14To me, drag is a way to live out all my wildest dance fantasies, everything that I couldn't
03:20do when I was a dancer and forced to fit into this masculine dancer type of build.
03:25I took all that femininity that was rampant inside of me and I turned it into Juicy.
03:30That just reminded me that you, Miss Superstar, you may or may not have been on another reality
03:38TV show before.

03:39The biggest thing I've done in drag to date was compete on So You Think You Could Dance.
03:43How does that experience compare to this?
03:46Oh, it's completely different.
03:47I feel like on that other show, you're still auditioning, so it was like they're still choosing
03:51the top 10 out of 75 people, so I didn't really feel too special.
03:55The judges loved me.
03:56They were going up for me.
03:58And then the next day, I went to the choreographer's front out of drag, and I don't think I have
04:04that confidence anymore.
04:05Because when I put on Juicy, it's like a different dancer.
04:08A whole different side comes out of me.
04:10It's like a superpower, you know?
04:12And now there's no other way for me to feel the way that I usually do, like that power.
04:18I only feel it with Juicy.
04:20So it was a big learning experience to go there, fall on my face, and then realize,
04:24okay, drag is, it is who I am.
04:27It's how I feel the most powerful.
04:29It's when I feel the most like myself.

04:32This is like what I'm meant to be doing all my life.

04:44And I know as a queen, as an entertainer, that's easier said than done.

05:10I started performing in drag when I was a senior in high school,
05:13and my first ever show was actually with Morphine Love.
05:16She put me in drag for the first time, snuck me into the club,
05:19and gave birth to me live on stage, believe it or not.
05:23So did you go to high school with Morphine?
05:25Yeah.
05:25I was a freshman, and she was a senior.
05:27So that was like your cheese muscle sister.

05:29You have no idea.
05:29So what's your favorite high school story about Morphine?
05:32Ooh.
05:32Well, Morphine was such a hustler all throughout high school,
05:36so she would actually sell cake pops and brownies during lunch.

05:41So whenever you needed a snack, you hit on Morphine.
05:43I cannot imagine Morphine like, girl, you want a cake pop?

05:46The teachers would ask her to come down, the principal,
05:49everybody in the office.

05:51What's it like starting drag in high school?
05:53I couldn't even imagine.
05:55I mean, it felt like totally right.

05:57I had just left my dance team because I couldn't afford it anymore.

06:00And I was like, okay, dance is not for me anymore.
06:02I can't afford it.

06:04So let me focus on another career.
06:06And then when I found drag, I was like, wait, I can actually do this.
06:10And I can dance for the rest of my life.
06:11And it's like mixing all of the things that I love into one, like, body.
06:16And I was like, oh, my God.
06:18Graduated high school in drag.
06:19I wasn't in drag when I graduated.

06:21But I mean, I was working full time already.
06:24Athena was actually at my high school graduation.
06:26Speaking of Athena, what was it like competing against her this season?

06:48I think the part was the RuPaul song that I had to perform.

06:58And I was like, can I use your stage?
06:59And they're like, of course.
