00:29you know he just sat on what it was and said that was good enough and then just simply did

00:36simply did you know his routes and that was all you know his position drills and for the receivers
00:41it's just routes and that's that's all that he did does that surprise you at all not really i feel
00:47like even though he ran into four fives it seemed like most teams were pretty content with the speed
00:51overall i'm assuming they all have their own person doing their own times apparently some guys clocked
00:56him in the four fours so a lot of teams aren't worried about that but it kind of changes based
01:01on what team you're talking about because some teams put a lot more stock into the 40 i remember
01:06my year tommy didn't run his 40 at pro day and i think it was san francisco and green bay

01:12scouts come up to him as we're sitting there weighing in saying that hey like if you don't run this

01:17and don't show us what kind of speed you have no one's going to pick you up so certain teams

01:21about a little more than others but for him i feel like he's in a really good spot i see

01:26him to run the 40 so tommy didn't run a 40 at the combine or at pro day neither yeah

01:34that's kind of one of the first guys that you saw doing that now when was was tommy drafted or

01:39a free agent tommy's drafted fifth round fifth round and so he you know third day draft pick fifth
01:45round guy you know and would running a four here's the here's the better part i guess the question
01:53steel as you look at this is it better to run a bad 40 or to just run no 40

03:29same position all the positions run the same distance too but we like to be able to compare apples to
03:34apples comparisons and so you don't want to sit there and compare one guy running you know a wide
03:39linebacker maybe should run 30 yards maybe wide receivers should run 50 i don't know but you start
03:45looking at that and they just want to be able to have comps with it but he's one of the
03:49first guys
03:50still that i've ever heard that didn't run the 40 and also not to besmirch tommy but it wasn't like
03:56he was lamar jackson either where you could just come out and say i'm not running it but by the

04:01you want a heisman trophy and everybody watched you outrun everybody on the football field like
04:06it's not even close i mean there were some questions about you know tommy's you know speed
04:11and everything probably to a certain degree and he probably didn't feel that confident in it but
04:15it's crazy um you know he was big 10 linebacker of the year yeah didn't run a 40 and people

04:21going to say well we're just not even going to draft it you're off of our board as if you
