00:00Well, let's take a look, Pat.
00:01Let's throw up who was there yesterday for Ohio State.
00:05A guy, my buddy Albert Breer was there.
00:07He had a list of all of the dudes that were ultimately there.
00:13I know John Harbaugh, New York Giants, was ultimately there.
00:18When you start talking about that, John Harbaugh was there.
00:24Aaron Glenn was there.
00:28The head coach Dan Quinn was there.
00:30Mike McCarthy was here with Omar Khan, the Steelers GM, Adam Peters.
00:34The GM was there.
00:36I didn't see Kellen Moore at Pro Day, but I did see Jeff Ireland,
00:44who is basically their assistant GM, but basically runs all that
00:49because Mickey Loomis runs both the Pelicans and the Saints,
00:53so he does a lot of that.
00:55The Bills were there with Brady and Beam.
00:59Dolphins GM was there, which was a surprise that Jeff Halfley didn't come
01:03just with his tie to Ohio State.
01:05But you start looking at this list.
01:07I mean, this is a pretty robust list of head coaches or general managers,
01:13with 10 guys expected to potentially be drafted after 14 last year,
01:17and really it's the fact that you could potentially have five first-rounders in that.
01:23So well, well attended.
01:26And I think that still speaks to the power of this class and really just the power of Ohio State.
01:31Absolutely.
01:32I mean, I went to every single Pro Day while I was there to either watch or participate in,
01:37and it seemed like every year it was almost every single GM and every single coach going out,
01:41no matter how big the class was.
01:43So there's just some kind of pedigree that goes along with Ohio State
01:46where guys are wanting to come out and watch these guys work.
01:48Now, for you, was there ever a single coach or GM that –
01:52actually, did you guys have Pro Days back then?
01:54Yeah, we had Pro Day.
01:55Yeah, we had like five.
01:57They've had Pro Days for a long time.
01:58I mean, they've always had that.
02:00Even before the Combine, they usually had those
02:02because that was a place where people would come in and get times and everything.
02:05Was there ever a specific coach or GM that came in that kind of just had a different air about
02:10him?
02:12I think like Bill Cowher coming in was a big deal because he was with the Steelers.
02:17So like there was a lot of Steelers fans in Central Ohio, and he'd been there for a long time.
02:21He had a lot of cachet.
02:24I think – I don't know if Holmgren was there when he came in
02:28because Holmgren had coached in Green Bay, won a Super Bowl,
02:31and he was like coaching in Seattle and running a lot of the stuff up there.
02:34But I'm trying to think like who else was around.
02:37Like those two guys, like everybody had known, and that was a really big deal
02:42because I remember one of the girls who played field hockey or lacrosse.
02:49Gosh, I can't remember which one now.
02:51She was a big Steelers fan, and they were like getting ready
02:54because they had like practice that afternoon afterwards,
02:57and she was like snuck out there.
02:59She was like, I'm a huge Steeler fan.
03:01And like, he's like, well, let me introduce you to Bill Cowher.
03:04She's like, what?
03:05And I'm like, well, he's just right there.
03:06Like, I mean, he's here, and he's like a nice dude.
03:09He's got two daughters.
03:10He's not going to spit in your face.
03:12I know that.
03:13And so, yeah, like that was part of our pro day.
03:15I remember at the very end introducing him to her,
03:17and yeah, she was like thrilled and over the moon.
03:20Like, these guys are people.
03:21Like, and she was a huge Steelers fan,
03:22so it was like the home run of a life for her.
03:25It might be just a Steelers coach thing,
03:26because for me, it was always Mike Tallman.
03:29I mean, you would see 32 coaches come throughout there
03:32throughout the years, but for some reason,
03:33there was something different whenever he walked in.
03:36First, how everyone treated him, even Coach Day.
03:38I feel like he would make a big deal about, hey,
03:40Mike Tallman's coming into town.
03:42Like, be on your best behavior.
03:43I don't think it's a Steelers thing,
03:45but I felt different whenever he walked in the building.
03:48I think you look at that.
03:49There's a reason.
03:50I mean, he was, by the time you were there,
03:51he was one of the longest senior head coach.
03:53I mean, him and John Harbaugh were the two,
03:55I think, longest-tenured head coaches in the NFL.
03:58You know, so I think that's where you get that aura about it.
04:01And, you know, and they come from a very reputable,
04:04historic franchise, especially him.
04:05He's one of the Steelers' historic franchise.
04:06He'd won a Super Bowl.
04:08Steals, like, when you had won a Super Bowl,
04:10I think that that matters a lot.
04:12That's a big deal.
04:13But you look at some of the guys that were there,
04:15you know, the Commanders, you know,
04:17they've got a top-10 pick.
04:18Jets, they've got the second pick.
04:20Saints, they've got a top-10 pick.
04:22Giants, I think, are picking five.
04:24And so there's a lot of people that are in the top-10.
04:26And I had somebody there tell me,
04:27he's like, we have four of your guys on the board
04:30for our position,
04:31and we'd be happy if any of them are still there.
04:33Or for our drafting position,
04:35we'll be happy if any of them are still there.
04:36We would probably take any of them.
04:39We'll be happy if any of them are still there.
04:39We'll be happy if any of them are still there.
04:39We'll be happy if any of them are still there.
04:39We'll be happy if any of them are still there.
04:39We'll be happy if any of them are still there.
