This video has been created to document what I believe to be an unacceptably low standard of maintenance carried out on The Maltings, Llantarnam, Cwmbran, by FirstPort and their appointed contractor, Community Property Care (www.cpropertycare.com).
The Redrow development began approximately 10–12 years ago. Despite the estate being fully completed—and despite every household paying full council tax—the land was never adopted by the local authority. As a result, residents are required to pay an additional annual fee to FirstPort, which is now approaching £400 per household.
FirstPort already has a poor reputation nationally, but in this case the issue extends beyond the management company itself. The contractor they employ, Community Property Care, appears to undertake only the most minimal level of work. As this video shows, even basic tasks such as sweeping loose stones from the roadway are routinely neglected.
