Out-of-Control Truck Sparks Highway Chaos in Muzaffarnagar: Biker Duo Narrowly Escape Death

A major road accident on the Delhi–Dehradun National Highway 58 in Muzaffarnagar has raised serious concerns over road safety after an overloaded truck rammed into a motorcycle, with CCTV footage of the incident going viral.

The accident occurred near Ganpati Dhaba, close to Bagowali Chowki under Nai Mandi police station limits. According to reports, the truck rear-ended a bike carrying a young man and woman, causing them to fall onto the road.

In a narrow escape, both victims avoided being crushed under the truck by quickly pulling their legs away while falling. The bike was completely damaged in the collision.

Eyewitnesses claimed that the truck’s brakes had failed, leading to the accident. After hitting the motorcycle, the driver allegedly attempted to flee but lost control of the vehicle, crashing into multiple vehicles, including a Scorpio and an Alto car, causing further damage.

The young man sustained minor injuries, while the woman was reported safe.

Locals present at the scene chased and caught the driver. In the chaos, some people reportedly assaulted him before others intervened and brought the situation under control.

Police reached the spot, detained the driver, and cleared the damaged vehicles to restore traffic movement.

The incident, which took place last Tuesday, came into the spotlight after CCTV footage surfaced and went viral on Monday, triggering fresh concerns over overloaded vehicles and enforcement of traffic norms.
