00:10Welcome to Mojo Plays, and today we're taking a look at the 10 Nintendo Switch 2 games that we are
00:17most excited to play.
00:19I give you... my blood.
00:23Before we begin, we publish new videos all week long, so be sure to subscribe to Mojo Plays and ring
00:28the bell to be notified about our latest videos.
00:32Hades 2
00:33Good. Not good enough. We can but learn.
00:42When it launched in 2020, Hades found massive success almost instantly, despite only initially being available on Switch and PC.
00:50It quickly became Supergiant Games' magnum opus as it eventually found its way to other platforms months later.
00:58That alone is why so many of us are looking forward to Hades 2.
01:02We've reason to believe the trouble brewing on Olympus is significantly worse than it appears.
01:07After spending some time with the Early Access version available on PC, we're excited to see the game is going
01:14to be more or less the same as the first game, but with new, fresh ideas.
01:20New weapons, new characters, a new story, new boons to experiment with for new builds.
01:26It's all everything that we've been hoping for so far.
01:29No release date has been given at the time of this video, though we wouldn't be surprised if Hades 2
01:34makes an official launch before the end of 2025, if not sometime in 2026.
01:39Made it this far, and yet, the real climb is just about to start.
01:44Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivelis Chronicles
01:48Abandon not your way with children of Ivelis, but deliver us from our sins, that we might know salvation.
01:55The Final Fantasy Tactics games have gone largely ignored by Square Enix for a long, long time.
02:02The last game we saw was Final Fantasy Tactics S in 2013, which has since been shut down.
02:08Every other version has been the original game with a few bells and whistles to spiffy things up, and well,
02:14The Ivelis Chronicles is yet another version of the original that plans to tack on more bells and whistles.
02:20Nevertheless, we're excited to play this because of two reasons.
02:23Firstly, it just gives us another excuse to play Final Fantasy Tactics.
02:27I mean, come on.
02:28Secondly, it's another PS1 classic being preserved for modern hardware in some fashion,
02:34which means it can garner a new player base for anyone to visit or revisit.
02:38You can expect this remaster to drop on September 30th, 2025.
02:43Why do you fight? Why walk this path of subterfuge and conflict?
02:47Demon X Machina, Titanic Scion.
02:51How many have sacrificed their lives in pursuit of a sliver of happiness?
02:57The wish to be with those they love.
03:01Demon X Machina is one of a handful of Switch exclusives that doesn't really get talked about enough.
03:07Made by Japanese developer and publisher Marvelous, Demon X Machina was a game where players piloted their own mech to
03:14fight a wide variety of enemies.
03:16According to Marvelous themselves, sales were very well on Switch, though we'd be curious to see how well sales were
03:23overseas.
03:25Regardless, we're getting a sequel to this game with Titanic Scion, and it looks to be just as kick-ass
03:31in visuals, style, and combat as its predecessor was.
03:34You won't have to wait long for it either.
03:37Demon X Machina, Titanic Scion launches for Nintendo Switch 2, as well as other platforms, on September 5th, 2025.
03:45I'd be happy to take your lives, every last one!
03:49Professor Layton and the New World of Steam.
03:53The good professor has been away for a long, long time, and a lot has happened since 2012's crossover with
03:59Ace Attorney.
04:00Layton's daughter got her very own game released for Switch and 3DS in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
04:08The lead puzzle designer of the series, Akira Tego, passed away in 2016, may he rest in peace.
04:14And puzzle games as a whole have quietly receded into the shadows of AAA and AA gaming.
04:20But from what little we've seen of Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, this looks to be the
04:25revival we've been desperate for.
04:27No release date has been given yet, but developer and publisher Level 5 seem certain on meeting its 2025 window.
04:34Kirby Air Riders.
04:44Of all the Kirby spin-offs we've seen over the past decades, there has been this fervor around Kirby Air
04:51Ride that just refuses to die.
04:54Despite only ever being released on GameCube, Kirby Air Ride has become a timeless classic for those who grew up
05:01with the GameCube.
05:01And for good reason. The simple control scheme made it easy for anybody to jump in and compete at a
05:08moment's notice.
05:09But once you start getting into every vehicle's unique mechanics and the chaos of City Trial, the game suddenly becomes
05:15a lot deeper than it initially led on.
05:18And with Kirby creator Masahiro Sakurai back in the fray to lead the project, for the first time in what
05:24feels like ages, by the way,
05:26Kirby Air Riders might wind up becoming one of the best games of the year, as well as one of
05:31the best Switch 2 games of the year.
05:41Hyrule Warriors. Age of Imprisonment.
05:44Hyrule Warriors. Age of Imprisonment.
05:44A war was fought to vanquish this evil. One which future generations would call...
05:52The Imprisoning War.
05:54While there isn't a new traditional Zelda on the way anytime soon, well, as far as we know,
05:59there is a new Hyrule Warriors approaching quickly. Age of Imprisonment is set to release sometime during Winter 2025.
06:07So, that's what, December, we suppose?
06:10Not much is known about the game, but if you haven't played either of the two previous Hyrule Warriors games,
06:15we insist you do so as soon as possible.
06:18Not only are these games great love letters to The Legend of Zelda, they also boast fun playstyles between all
06:25of the characters,
06:26while incorporating the fun gameplay loop of Dynasty Warriors.
06:30Take it from somebody like me, who is apathetic towards Zelda.
06:33I played Age of Calamity back when it came out, and I absolutely loved that game.
06:39You should go play it.
06:40But so far, the only thing we know about Age of Imprisonment is that it takes place somewhere around the
06:46events of Tears of the Kingdom.
06:48That said, we will probably get more information once launch day is closer.
06:53Whenever that is.
06:55Perhaps you truly have traveled back in time.
06:59The Duskbloods.
07:00And transport him.
07:04To a night of moonlight.
07:08To humanity's very dusk.
07:11This is perhaps one of the biggest games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
07:17We aren't just saying that because half of the MojoPlays team are FromSoftware fans either.
07:22This is a huge deal because the Duskbloods is a FromSoftware game being made specifically for the Nintendo Switch 2.
07:32Now, there's a pro and a con to this game's existence.
07:36The pro is that this seems to be a spiritual successor to Bloodborne, which has not aged gracefully as time
07:44has marched forward.
07:45Really, PS4 hardware is becoming ancient now.
07:48The con to the Duskbloods, and this is a big one that has us deeply concerned,
07:54is that it's a FromSoftware game being made for a Nintendo console.
08:01FromSoftware games have had a reputation for not always being technically sound at launch,
08:05and Dark Souls Remastered was a prime example of that when it was released for the first Switch.
08:11We're eager to try out the Duskbloods as soon as possible,
08:14but we're also hoping that FromSoftware can at the very least get this game running smoothly at launch,
08:20even if it comes at the cost of a slightly lower framerate.
08:25The moon tears will flow for one, and one alone.
08:34Pokemon Legends ZA.
08:36It's no secret that fan morale for Pokemon is at an all-time low,
08:41considering how the franchise suffered from all kinds of technical problems throughout the Switch 1 generation.
08:46However, Pokemon Legends Arceus was a step in the right direction for where the series should go,
08:51with its real-time combat and immersive world.
08:53That is why we're super amped for Pokemon Legends ZA,
08:58especially when it was revealed to be coming to Switch 2.
09:01We'll finally be able to experience a better optimized and more lively Pokemon game than we have in a long
09:08time,
09:09and likely with more refined combat and controls.
09:12Pokemon Legends ZA launches for both Switch consoles on October 17th, 2025,
09:18but you know which version is actually worth getting.
09:21Donkey Kong Bonanza.
09:32This might wind up being the biggest game of the Switch 2's first year on the market.
09:37Well, Mario Kart World notwithstanding.
09:40This is what many are calling Donkey Kong's own Mario Odyssey,
09:44as DK will be exploring massive worlds to collect precious Finandium ores,
09:49just as Mario explored the world to collect power moons.
09:52However, the main draw of Bonanza is the focus on environmental destruction.
09:58Donkey Kong will be able to tear chunks of rocks and minerals out to destroy parts of the world,
10:04create new structures, or even reach hidden areas.
10:08The wait isn't much longer.
10:09Donkey Kong Bonanza will launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on July 17th, 2025.
10:15And if you want to know more, be sure to check out our video on 10 things to know about
10:20Donkey Kong Bonanza.
10:29And lastly, Metroid Prime 4 Beyond.
10:39Of all the games coming to Switch 2, this is the one we are most excited for.
10:44Even though Samus herself has seen a couple of new games between Samus Returns on 3DS and Dread on Switch,
10:52there has been this intense hunger for the old Metroid Prime series.
10:57This was Metroid reinvented as an FPS, and it worked incredibly well with its creative level design and enemy variety.
11:05However, Metroid Prime 4 specifically has a lot riding on it, as it has been stuck in development hell for
11:13an unbelievably long time,
11:15and Nintendo hasn't really shown much of it off.
11:18Although, with all the new young staff slowly taking over Nintendo HQ and putting out banger titles like we saw
11:25with Mario Kart World,
11:26Mario Odyssey, the Mario Party series, Donkey Kong Bonanza,
11:31we really have no reason to believe that Metroid Prime 4 will be anything less than spectacular.
11:46But tell us, which Switch 2 game are you looking forward to playing the most?
11:50I specifically, am really looking forward to Donkey Kong Bonanza,
11:54and I'm gonna be picking up that Dragon Quest remake coming out in October.
11:58But let us know what your choice is down in the comments below, or what your choices are,
12:03and be sure to subscribe to Mojo Plays for more great videos every day.
