00:00This is the story of a man named Stanley.
00:05Stanley worked for a company in a big building where he was employee number 427.
00:11Welcome to MojoPlays and are you ready to waste your life?
00:14Good, let's lock in.
00:16Getting 100% in a game is the ultimate challenge, with some games being harder than others,
00:21but at least sometimes the game offers a prize for your effort.
00:24200 hours for a gold coin?
00:25Sounds good.
00:26Whether the prizes are worth it or completely useless, these are 10 of the hardest 100%
00:31rewards to earn.
00:33Let's do it.
00:33Before we continue, we publish content all week long, so be sure to subscribe and ring
00:38the bell to get notified of our latest videos.
00:42Aliens Grand Theft Auto V
00:56Getting 100% in GTA V isn't technically the hardest thing to do, although it is a true
01:02time slog that would be much harder with our collection guides online, but it is definitely
01:06one of the most infamous.
01:08Once you grind out the completion, three UFOs start popping up at night in specific locations
01:13and weather conditions, plus a secret alien mission.
01:16You can spot them hovering over Mount Chiliad, the alien hippie camp in Sandy Shores and Fort
01:20Zancudo.
01:21Basically, after all the effort, Rockstar rewards you with floating green saucers instead of cash
01:26or weapons.
01:27Aliens 1, Player Sanity 0.
01:36Playable Luigi Super Mario Galaxy
01:47It's no wonder Super Mario 64 is still legendary.
01:51The level design was revolutionary, but back in the day, playground rumours ran wild.
01:56Collect all the stars, and some claimed you'd unlock Luigi.
02:00Nope, instead you got a cosy chat with Yoshi and 99 extra lives.
02:04Cool, but not quite what we wanted.
02:06Fast forward to Super Mario Galaxy, where the rumour actually works.
02:10Nab all 120 power stars and Luigi finally becomes playable, sporting faster running, higher jumps,
02:16and fulfilling our long-standing sibling fantasies.
02:18Beat the game as Luigi again for 200% completion, and you'll unlock a special Mushroom Kingdom ending,
02:24because why stop at 100% when maths doesn't matter?
02:41Tango Gameworks Crown Jewel Hi-Fi Rush isn't just a rhythm-based beat-em-up.
02:45It's a rhythm-based beat-you-up.
02:47You guys don't appreciate how funny I am.
02:49It's achievement list is brutally unforgiving, mainly thanks to the in-game wall of fame.
02:54To conquer it, you need to S-rank every level on every difficulty.
02:57Sure, GTA and Mario are tough, but here you actually need a sense of rhythm.
03:02If you're tone deaf, consider your gamer score Dreams crushed.
03:05Hard modes will test even the musically gifted.
03:08Only 280 people have finished it.
03:10Get 100% and you snag the Voice From Within achievement,
03:14plus access to a secret area with cheeky dev messages, because why not rub it in?
03:26Meat Ninja Super Meat Boy
03:36Super Meat Boy doesn't ask you to beat the whole game without dying,
03:39unlike one entry on this list, and this is a good thing, because that would require god-like reflexes
03:43and possibly a spare controller or two.
03:46Instead, it gives achievements for surviving each level death-free.
03:49Sounds reasonable, right?
03:51Wrong.
03:52These levels are so punishing that the dark versions might as well be designed by Satan himself.
03:57Some have single-digit success rates, which makes sense because most players die before finishing the tutorial.
04:03Only a microscopic group of masochists have achieved 100%.
04:07The grand prizes? Achievements, bragging rights, and unlocking Meat Ninja,
04:12who can auto-sprint and teleport, making you wish you'd had him before you suffered through it all.
04:24Two more endings, Crash Bandicoot 4, It's About Time.
04:35He's at last!
04:40At first, It's About Time sounds like a cute pun for Crash Bandicoot 4.
04:45A nod to the multiverse and a sigh of relief that a proper Crash game finally arrived after nearly 10
04:50years.
04:51But 100% completion? That's a different story.
04:54Crash 4 doesn't just demand platforming skills, it demands perfection.
04:58Time trials are brutal, perfect relics require zero deaths, and even veteran Crash fans might find themselves screaming,
05:05It's about time I stop f***ing dying.
05:08Finish 100% to unlock bonus endings and the overachiever trophy, but hit 106% and you earn the over
05:15overachiever trophy, plus another ending.
05:17Basically, Crash 4 is here to humble you, repeatedly, and reward you with more and more and more and more
05:22stories.
05:32Crash 4 is here to help you with more and more.
05:37112% Achievement and 50G Hollow Knight.
05:58This indie Metroidvania sensation isn't messing around.
06:02Hollow Knight dishes out brutal combat and bosses that will make you question your life choices.
06:06The game alone takes ages to complete, but its achievements and optional content, oh my god, pure masochism.
06:13Solace and the infamous White Palace demand platforming skills in a game better suited for stabbing bugs than bunny hopping.
06:20And don't get me started on the bosses of the Colosseum of Fools, they'll have you perfecting your combat timing
06:24with more than a thousand hours of regular gameplay.
06:27Once it's all said and done, you get an achievement.
06:29And 50G.
06:31Nice.
06:46Excellent job trophy, the Stanley Parable.
06:49This is the story of a man named Stanley.
06:54Stanley worked for a company in a big building where he was employee number 427.
07:00This reward is literally just an achievement, but we have to talk about it because the requirements for 100%
07:06are so f***ing weird.
07:07The Stanley Parable isn't just a game.
07:09It's a surreal post-modern mind trip that gleefully mocks gaming itself, especially Achievement Hunters.
07:15Alongside normal achievements, it throws in some absurd curveballs to make 100% completion borderline impossible.
07:22Take Go Outside, for example, which demands you to not play the game for 5 years.
07:27Yep, recently upgraded to 10 years with Super Go Outside, because apparently patience is a skill.
07:33Then there's the achievement literally called Unachievable, which requires you to hack your own game files just to tick it
07:39off.
07:40Why?
07:40For a sports experience.
07:42I'm going to try it out.
07:44Here comes another ball.
07:47Yes.
07:48Oh goodness, that really does feel amazing, doesn't it?
07:51Stanley, I'm like a child in a confectionery shop.
07:54I simply have to have more.
07:56I'm insatial.
07:57The Shiny Charm, Pokemon Black 2 and White 2.
08:06Shiny Pokemon are a brilliant little trap for trainers who love collecting tiny sparkly unicorns that do absolutely nothing different
08:13in battle.
08:13They're just like normal Pokemon, except they sparkle and sometimes have different colours.
08:18In modern games, the odds of finding one are about 1 in 4,000.
08:22Gold and silver through to black and white are even crueler at 1 in 8,192.
08:27Yes, I know that's specific.
08:29I'm just telling you all the facts.
08:30Thankfully, beating black and white to 100% rewards you with the Shiny Charm, which boosts those odds and makes
08:36hunting shiny slightly less soul-crushing.
08:38With it, shiny hunting drops to around 1 in 1500, giving obsessive collectors a shiny carrot to chase.
08:44Worth it for shiny fans, totally not worth it for people who don't want to dedicate an equally annoying amount
08:50of hours to get 100%.
08:56Death Certificate The Binding of Isaac Rebirth
09:12The Binding of Isaac is like a cruel love child of a roguelike and a slot machine.
09:16Even without its spicy DLCs, beating it is hard enough, but going for 100% completion, that's a whole other
09:23nightmare.
09:24Randomness can screw you over mid-run. Alternate bosses demand precision and unlocking all characters and achievements feels like trying
09:30to herd cats with other cats.
09:33The reward for enduring the chaos, the Death Certificate, an item that lets you grab any of the 700 plus
09:38items in the game from the super common to absurdly rare.
09:41Powerful, thematic and well-earned, it's a pat on the back.
09:55A ribbon on your file, Shovel Knight
09:57A ribbon on your file, Shovel Knight
10:08Shovel Knight is the peak of platforming for some gamers.
10:11It's a love letter to retro pixel platformers, packed with tight jumps, punishing bosses and enough charm to make you
10:17forgive its cheap deaths. Almost.
10:19But going for 100% is a whole different beast.
10:23Achievements like Impossible demand you to finish the game without dying.
10:27Good luck.
10:28While Hurry Up wants you to speedrun it in under an hour and 30 minutes.
10:31Then there's beating the game with every character and tackling new game plus.
10:34The reward, flashy superpowers, game changing items.
10:39Nope.
10:40Just a ribbon on your save file.
10:42Worth it.
10:43It is kind of pretty.
