35:23i'm a little bit nervous today because obviously didn't sell any of my deal of the day pieces
35:28so a little bit upset and scared to what's going to happen in the boardroom today
35:33i brought corner back to the boardroom last week he's definitely going to bring me back if we lose
35:38it's game on i'm ready for a war i feel like i'm walking into a lion's den with nothing to
35:43defend
35:43myself with it is a live tv selling challenge i'm not sure if i sold anything so that leaves me
35:48in a
35:48pretty vulnerable position you can go through to the boardroom now
36:11so tv shopping um team alpha i believe that karishma you wanted to be the project manager is that
36:22right yes lord sugar but then again pasha you haven't been a project manager have you you kind
36:27like ducked it um i was waiting for the right task i haven't got experience live selling however
36:33i do have a big following on tiktok and i do have a social media present so you know i
36:39just felt like
36:40my skills and abilities would be best for this this sort of task so pasha's passion versus karishma's
36:47charisma yeah and i think we worked really well together okay so product selection the structure
36:54that i went in with is i want a high cost item and a low cost item if we can
36:59sell just a few of
37:00the high cost items potentially that could be the reason that we win the task so what you ended up
37:05with was the headphones the water flosser um and table tennis yeah so where was your luck um karishma
37:14while this all this was going on so lawrence and i spoke of the jewelry expert we were also joined
37:19with
37:19rothana and dan um we kind of were competing to get the product we wanted um we expressed our interest
37:25in the mid-range item you mean the ring the ring the tanzanite ring i was watching you uh selling
37:31that
37:32stuff apparently there was 11 in stock or something like that is that right yeah yeah um
37:39there still is 11 in stock there is at the moment yeah because i'm afraid you didn't succeed and then
37:45one
37:45of the reasons i think you didn't succeed was because in my opinion you missed out the point of
37:52who you were selling to it should be love it should be about you know a gift for somebody instead
37:58you
37:58start giving them a geographic um description of where it comes from who gives a about that
38:07not exactly lord of the rings there my friend not quite no i mean in fairness krishman knew a lot
38:13about the rings and i think there was a bit of scarcity because um it only comes from a very
38:18small area hmm anyway i think the first people on your team was you and you with the headphones
38:26right correct okay and in the gallery was them two correct yeah and silence i heard you sat there
38:34doing nothing for a while krishman you were close to mike do you do you agree with that um so
38:41we were
38:42in instructing was you getting much feedback initially um initially to be honest my earpiece
38:47was cutting out every it wasn't cutting out they weren't talking okay well i mean my noise
38:54cancelling headphones it sounded like you must have had noise cancelling microphones in there
38:59anyway let me come on to the flosser yeah i was very confident selling it just because i have it
39:05at
39:05home and i did want to have food there as well which unfortunately i saw that you had some spinach
39:12you stick some in your mouth right and then you get the machine blow on it and then you take
39:18it out
39:18your mouth with your fingers again yeah it was very very very good yeah the water power coming out
39:24it was powerful i could use it to clean my car yeah yeah and then there's the ping pong i
39:30like that
39:31ping pong thing i was thinking of setting it up in here for me and uh to play um you
39:38sold 28 of those
39:39actually yeah anyway there we are so team eclipse now connor you ended up with what i will call the
39:48call machine uh yoga mat correct boring uh and the shoe dryer unusual item right um so you start off
39:59um connor with the um the core circus you look like you're having an argument with an ironing board
40:05actually yeah yeah i definitely um look i came in with high energy and passion and i was hoping to
40:10shift
40:11that by using my energy and then you call upon dan he comes in done a few bits and pieces
40:17and then
40:18went off we were we were we were doing a couple to work out at one stage i was doing
40:23pilates and
40:23dan was doing some core exercises so yeah i do i do think it was sellable i just probably didn't
40:29do
40:29myself justice moving on from there then so you had the um bracelet you look like you're putting on
40:36handcuffs at one stage a lot you lost the key you're fumbling around dan did very well in terms of
40:46his
40:46engaging with the customers and saying their names actually saying which was the key yeah when you
40:50that was it was quite clever that when we said thank you for the order and all that oh they
40:54got
40:54some orders did they oh yeah they got some orders for it um i was extremely proud of dan for
40:59putting
40:59himself out of his comfort zone almost and really applying himself he exceeded probably all of our
41:04expectations oh there you go compliments there dan that's very kind compliments all right um moving on
41:11we've got uh kieran on the uh yoga mat yoga mat and that i mean i've got to tell you
41:17that was painful
41:18my friend painful did you say i'll do that one i said i i i would do that one um
41:25but i also offered
41:27to it was like a thick doormat to me it's yeah as yoga mats go it wasn't bad yeah can
41:36i just add
41:36low sugar i expected that the boys would probably pick an item that they were personally really confident
41:40selling kieran's great at selling so i was pretty shocked that he was just going to be selling the
41:44mats but then he was confident he could sell them in large quantity okay well moving on we went to
41:51the
41:51most unusual item the shoe dryer uh which levi took the role that's right lord sugar yeah that's correct
41:59i mean it's an unusual item in fact i bought one from my wife for christmas so she's going to
42:05be
42:06delighted when she opens it up so she's going to throw that straight back at you yeah i mean you're
42:14putting shoes on the wrong way around pouring water in trainers um to be fair lord sugar and um butch
42:22cassidy it comes running in at the end uh to help you out you know it were quite hard to
42:28get me
42:28bearings to be fair lord sugar it were um in gallery sounded like somebody ate the microphone and uh people
42:35just shouting and then yeah it would it would hard to concentrate try and get a point across while
42:40it's getting loading the ear hmm right okay well um it's that time now let's have a look and see
42:51how we did shall we so um thing you should know about tv selling is that you may have expectations
43:02of what you think you sold but as you know people change their minds right so i've now got the
43:10real
43:10confirmed figures uh from the shopping channel so tim can you tell me the final results of your team
43:18well you mentioned a number of sales have been made but unfortunately not all of those sales went
43:23through including the one high priced item of the core crusher that was almost sold but somebody pulled
43:29out but they still managed to sell 18 products giving them a total sales on the day of 773 pounds
43:38and 82
43:39well done everyone right okay good karen same question how did your team get on well unfortunately not all
43:47of their sales went through either um including one of the high priced headphones um and their highest
43:55priced item alan the ring you know they they didn't sell any of those at all um but they did
44:02still
44:02manage to sell 40 items across the hour totaling 893 pounds and 60 pence right well done team alpha
44:15your first time as a project manager and you pulled it through yeah okay make your way back to the
44:22house i'll see you on the next task okay okay well um so go away have a chat amongst yourselves

44:53big item made the difference didn't it well no i mean they sold 40 items and they sold 18.
45:01oh my god you smashed it pasha i cannot tell you how relieved i am obviously i've had my two
45:09wins as
45:10sub-team but that's not enough i wanted to step forward and deliver one more task yeah and then
45:14we're in the final five we just need to get there now one of the things so that i did
45:22say in strategy
45:23is like bringing high energy was great but i think ultimately what you two failed to do was to harness
45:27it in the correct way we sold me yeah and i accept i didn't you guys only saw two units
45:32each i had a
45:33roll up bit of phone mate connor sold nothing kieran didn't sell a lot and he's supposed to be an
45:37amazing salesperson and quite frankly i don't really know what levi is good at other than being a great
45:40guy the one person i was disappointed in kieran is you i have to say i've worked with you and
45:44i thought
45:45you were great but when you were presenting i honestly thought you you'd do a bit better just
45:49because we felt the task for lack of instruction and no sales kieran loves to deflect and he loves to
45:53say he can't do something at the last moment he said he'd take a high ticket item just as we
45:56were
45:56heading out the door as he sounded enthusiastic about the yoga mat i gave it to him then he said
46:00maybe not i can't do yoga the reality is is that we didn't make enough sales it's down to selling
46:04i mean myself and rothner sold the most and i know it wasn't loads but we sold
46:09high ticketed items and sold multiple of them i would have thought with lower ticketed items we could
46:13have sold a few more the failure in this task lies with project manager connor and kieran
46:16the polar opposites they don't work well together in it and it showed in this task
46:33yes would you send the candidates in please
46:48well uh you lot lost by 120 pounds which
46:54it's not a lot of money now alpha sold 40 products
47:00and you sold 18 only so connor the core machine that you demonstrated the last time the professional
47:09presenter did it they sold 55 yeah so so my plan with the core circuit yoga was
47:16two two target audience the older or maybe new to fitness and then the more experienced user of
47:21fitness like myself i demonstrated as someone who's maybe avid in fitness and wants to use it to
47:25enhance their workouts maybe after a cardio session i think it implied you had to be very fit to use

47:30yeah um anybody i'm not surprised you were sweating because you hadn't sold any
47:34yeah definitely i did give it my all it did give my energy and i hold my hands up i'm
47:39disappointed as pm that i
47:40didn't sell one item i mean dan walking in it looked like you called in a bloke from from i
47:45.t you know now
47:47then um rossner and dan the bracelets um you only sold three they usually sell 21 in that slot i
47:59am
48:00disappointed that we only ended up selling three of them i did really believe in the product and
48:03i hoped it'd come across if you'd have got the ring and sold three of them yeah like you sold
48:08three
48:09of the bracelets you would have won so we didn't go why didn't you get the ring we we thought
48:12maybe
48:13connor might find the ring a bit too expensive he was quite clear about asking for a mid-range item
48:18but may he do when we know when i asked for numbers in the brainstorm he didn't give any numbers
48:21my mid-range could be very different to your mid-range your role was to pick deal of the day
48:26so what
48:27what she's trying to say is that it was left to our own devices to pick what we thought was
48:31the most sensible
48:31item that we could sell on tv but that's what that's why you replaced and you picked the cheapest
48:36yeah um now moving on the yoga mat this company has sold 390 in the last session you sold six
48:47and you say you are a um super salesman exactly i'm a salesman yeah absolutely um we didn't sell many
48:56did you so i did offer to swap the high-end item i was told no were you not extremely
49:01excusing
49:01about the yoga mat i said i could take it i wasn't mate i'd done the set ups i've done
49:05a few
49:06press-ups exactly leave i was leave i come in to perform on the mat right at the end you
49:11should
49:11have sent him in earlier it were a bit painful to watch so i looked at galleries you were painful
49:15to watch my friend you were really painful to watch all the way around including the shoe dryer
49:21thing i mean what a bloody product that is and you know what they usually sell 300 in a session
49:27300 i've never heard of it and you sold three i did try to explain about the shoe drying properties
49:33but when i had somebody like team shouting in my ears i had kieran walking towards me it were very
49:39distracted for me well one of the comments from a viewer was that this is a joke i'm flabbergasted i
49:45can't watch it anymore i tuned out right and i have to say i was flabbergasted also i think it
49:51was
49:52diabolical i do believe that um on reflection it is um
50:00it's actually time i've won most at task lord sugar well no you didn't win them you didn't win them
50:06you didn't you was on winning teams so so you know what um levi um it is with uh regret

51:19this particular task it was the worst tv selling i've ever seen in this whole process the worst
51:25painful anyway kieran i mean he's a chirpy chappy he chirped a lot but he didn't make the sales the
51:32important thing on this task was to convert the products to something that the audience wanted
51:37and unfortunately made such a hash of that mat nobody bought anywhere near the numbers that you said
51:43you got from the channel themselves then the man obviously they sold three bracelets had they instead
51:50of chosen the ring and sold three rings they would have won i mean he was with rothner when they
51:55picked
51:55it maybe they didn't engage the buyers as well as they could have um connor well connor's a great talker
52:02he emphasized his ability in front of the camera but he wasn't that good behind the camera unfortunately a
52:08lot of this does rest on his shoulders could you send the three of them in please
52:24so on this task connor you were the project manager you've been a project manager twice right and
52:33regretfully you lost twice why have you brought these two back in then um when i made my selection
52:40i reviewed the entire process that we've made it here um when it comes to kieran in fairness to kieran
52:45kieran has grabbed the bull by the horns and he's really applied himself but at times he's being
52:49called difficult to work with and disruptive so in terms of looking for your next apprentice i just
52:54don't know if he would be the correct candidate everyone works with people different correct yeah and
52:59that's that's not my decision to make but that's just my perspective when it came to dan
53:02dan was slow to get into the process and maybe didn't apply himself every week to the extent
53:07that me personally has well i mean this was a selling task um myself i sold 300 pounds worth
53:12of stuff they sold 60 pounds between both and i think throughout the whole of this process i know
53:16it took me a little while to settle into it but this has been a big learning curve for myself
53:20i've
53:20developed a lot of skills i've learned how to work with people but i wouldn't necessarily usually
53:23work with and i think i've really grown in this process in terms of becoming a better business
53:27business person for yourself lord sugar hmm kieran super salesman sold six been on the losing side
53:36five times yes lord sugar i've put myself forward for a lot of things i haven't shied away
53:43i've given everything my all some it's the team effort not just an individual effort so where i might
53:48have small wins the team may not always win hmm right well here we have a dilemma really i have
53:56to make a
53:56decision lord sugar if i may yes i've been project manager twice on the same task and you won once
54:05by a deep arguably a one a win yeah yeah if i stay in this process i would like to
54:12be the project
54:12manager on task 10 to prove to you what i can do if i lose we shake hands i walk
54:16out all right
54:19that's very interesting anybody else want to make that offer uh i don't feel the need to you can i
54:25can
54:25if i want to i felt that i over the last eight tasks i don't need another task to prove
54:30myself
54:31i have given myself one you lost you know you've lost five you've been in the losing team five
54:35times correct and every time within those tasks the project manager has usually always had a very
54:40specific role that they've wanted me to excel in and at numerous times within this process i have
54:44excelled i don't need a tenth task to beg you to to take me you don't i don't i don't
54:50think i do
54:51what about you dan i feel like over the past nine tasks i've really kind of proven myself in many
54:56different ways um i i do believe that ultimately you've got to decide who you want to go into
55:01business with i know that i've only ever worked for myself i'm an entrepreneur through and through
55:04that's all i know and the industry that i'm in i know it so well so it's whether you think
55:09there's
55:10great potential with my business that i've got and if it's something you want to join me on the
55:12journey with i have observed you over the past nine weeks um
