01:11Thank you for being here!
01:14Let's get to some news, everybody.
01:16Well, guys, according to a new poll,
01:18President Trump's approval rating just dropped to a record low.
01:21Ooh.
01:22Yeah, it's exciting.
01:25If it goes any lower, it'll match the actual price of gas.
01:27Oh!
01:28Yeah.
01:29We're going to meet at 19.
01:32Yep, Trump's approval rating is down to 34%.
01:35Wow.
01:36Yeah.
01:36Just to give you an idea,
01:37Jeffrey Epstein's at 35%.
01:41I don't get it.
01:42TSA lines are four hours long.
01:44Gas costs more than gold.
01:45We just started a war in the Middle East.
01:47I mean, what do people want from this guy?
01:51Meanwhile, the U.S. has now entered its fourth week
01:53in the war with Iran,
01:55and the White House still doesn't appear
01:56to have an exit strategy.
01:58It feels like being stuck in an escape room
02:00with your dumbest friends.
02:02Clue!
02:03Clue!
02:04We need a clue!
02:06Open the drawer.
02:06Open the drawer again.
02:08Clue!
02:08No, the other drawer.
02:11And today, Trump said the Strait of Hormuz
02:14could open very soon,
02:15and it might be jointly controlled by himself
02:17in the new Ayatollah.
02:19You know Trump's in control
02:21when he turns the whole Strait
02:22into a giant lazy river.
02:23Yeah.
02:24Meanwhile, Trump said the U.S.
02:26is talking with a top person in Iran,
02:28but not the supreme leader.
02:30Or as that's also known,
02:31not the top person.
02:35Yep, we're now in week four
02:36of the war in Iran,
02:37so we thought we'd catch you up
02:38on everything that's happened,
02:39and there's no better way
02:40to understand the situation
02:41than by using Trump's own words.
02:43He's always explaining things so clearly,
02:45so I'll show you what I mean.
02:48At first, Trump said
02:49that he'd defeat Iran very quickly,
02:51or as he put it...
02:52Bing, bing, bing, bing.
02:53She...
02:54It's God.
02:55It's amazing.
02:57He ordered a military campaign
02:59costing billions of dollars a day,
03:00or as he put it...
03:02Bing, bing, bing.
03:03Missile launch, missile launch.
03:05Bing, boom.
03:06Boom.
03:11But Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz,
03:14and gas prices began to skyrocket,
03:16or as he put it...
03:17They're like this,
03:18and we're like...
03:20Ding, boom.
03:21This is me.
03:22I hear it.
03:23Bing.
03:26Other countries are refusing to help,
03:28so the U.S. has to do all the heavy lifting,
03:30or as he put it...
03:38And now he's thinking about sending in troops,
03:41or as he put it...
03:42Ding, ding, ding.
03:43Hello?
03:45Where do I drop these people?
03:48So now here we are,
03:49four weeks in,
03:50and Trump still doesn't have an exit plan,
03:52or as he put it...
03:53Take me home, mommy.
03:54This is too tough for me.
03:55All right.
03:56That clears everything up.
04:03Bing, bing, bing, bing, bum, boom, boom,
04:05bing, bong, bing, bing, bing.
04:07Some more news today.
04:09Trump was in Memphis,
04:10and he visited Elvis' Graceland home.
04:13Yeah, and this is nice.
04:13In honor of Elvis,
04:14Trump forced Marco Rubio
04:15to wear a pair of oversized blue suede shoes.
04:22You guys see this?
04:24You guys see this?
04:25The commission of...
04:28Oh, my God.
04:30You guys see this?
04:31The Commission of Fine Arts just approved
04:32a commemorative gold coin of President Trump
04:34for the country's 250th anniversary.
04:37Can we see it?
04:38Ooh.
04:40That's heads, but can we see tails?
04:43Oh, there you go.
04:44Wow.
04:46All right.
04:49Bing, bing, boom.
04:51Meanwhile, the TSA staffing shortage
04:53is still causing crazy long security lines at airports.
04:56So, today, the Trump administration decided
04:58it'd be super helpful to send in ICE agents.
05:01For more on this, please welcome
05:03the Trump administration spokesman Tim Garrison.
05:07Thanks for having me.
05:09So, Tim, explain to us how putting ICE agents in airports
05:13will help long TSA lines.
05:15Well, it's simple, Jimmy.
05:17When you take something people hate
05:19and you add a second thing people hate,
05:22they cancel each other out,
05:24and you get something people love.
05:27Yeah, I-I don't know if that's true.
05:29Well, that's why we're adding ICE to the TSA.
05:32And it's also why we're putting the DMV
05:35in charge of the IRS.
05:36Wait, I-I-I'm sorry, but that is just a bad idea.
05:40Exactly!
05:41I mean, it is so bad, it's good!
05:44You know, like, uh, White Castle.
05:46Or the movie Mamma Mia!
05:48I-I'm pretty sure you're just making bad situations worse.
05:52Jimmy, have you ever imagined what it'd be like
05:54if your cable company was also your dentist?
05:58That's an actual nightmare I've actually had.
06:00Look, all-all people want is to be able to buy plane tickets
06:02and get on a plane.
06:04And that's exactly why we're sending in a new organization
06:07to help people buy plane tickets.
06:09Please don't say it.
06:11Ticketmaster!
06:11Okay, thank you very much.
06:13A Trump White House spokesman, everybody.
06:15Two wrongs make a right!
06:16That's not how the saying goes.
06:18Two wrongs, one right.
06:20Guys, listen to this. I read that Kim Jong-un
06:23just won 99.9% of the vote in North Korea's election.
06:28Oh!
06:28Over there, that's called a nail-biter.
06:31Kim was like, make it 99.9, because if it's 100,
06:33people might think it's rigged.
06:35Switching gears to some entertainment news,
06:37Project Hail Mary had a huge opening weekend,
06:40bringing in $140 million at the box office.
06:43The reviews are great, by the way.
06:45Check out what they say.
06:46For instance, this review called it
06:48two-and-a-half hours of nonstop drama.
06:50Oh, hang on.
06:51That's actually a review for every TSA line.
06:53Sorry.
06:55Next up, this review said...
06:58Yeah. Oh, actually, that's a review for
07:02Punch the Monkey and his girlfriend, Momo.
07:04Sorry. Let's get to the real reviews.
07:06This review says...
07:07It looked like nothing I've ever seen before.
07:10Hang on. That's about Kevin Hart's wax statue.
07:12Wow.
07:15Here's a review right here. It says...
07:17Oh, hang on. That's about who's been on
07:19The Masked Singer during the past 14 seasons.
07:24Five stars. Come on.
07:26That's right. Take your time.
07:27Take your time on that one.
07:28Five people. Right.
07:30Take your time on that one. Enjoy it when you want.
07:32Take it home.
07:33Take it home with you. Yeah.
07:34Enjoy it whenever you want. Back it up.
07:36This is the review right here. It said...
07:40Oh, hang on. That's actually when you came home after spring break.
07:43Sorry.
07:45Finally, this review said...
07:49Hang on. That's about President Trump in Iran. Sorry.
07:51Interesting reviews.
07:53I'll get to them eventually. It was a good movie.
07:57And, finally, Minnesota is proposing a grandparents' happy hour bill
08:01that would let senior homes serve alcohol without a permit.
08:05Oh. Yeah. I like that.

14:30Wow, you look great.
14:31Yeah, you look great, fantastic.
14:33I did, just for the play.
14:34I shrank and...
14:36Your method, your method.
14:37You guys were in...
14:38This is you guys in the Larry Crown...
14:40Oh, yeah.
14:41Yeah.
14:41We've played husband and wife before.
14:44Yeah.
14:44I thought it'd be fun.
14:45I found an old interview that you guys did together to promote Larry Crown.
14:49I thought it'd be fun if I asked you some of the questions from that interview, okay?
14:53But then you have to guess how the other person answered.
14:56Oh.
14:57Okay?
14:57Oh.
14:57Okay, let's try it.
14:59Oh, a young Taraji, okay.
15:00Young.
15:01I'm still young.
15:01Yeah, that's what I meant.
15:02That's what I meant.
15:03Younger.
15:04Younger.
15:05Cedric, you gotta leave.
15:06Cedric, you gotta leave.
15:07You gotta leave.
15:08I'm sorry, bud.
15:09Be careful.
15:13Oh, yeah, the Cedric that had hair.
15:15Oh, wow.
15:17Hey.
15:18I'm sorry.
15:19I love myself.
15:20Here we go.
15:22Your characters in the film, just so everyone in a little backstory, just won the lottery,
15:26all right?
15:27Oh, yeah.
15:27So here's one of the questions they asked.
15:28In 2011, they said, what's the first thing you would splurge on if you found out that you
15:33won the lottery?
15:34Taraji, what do you think Cedric said?
15:37Probably a muscle car.
15:40Cedric said...
15:41A muscle car or some new golf clubs or something.
15:45Cedric said a sports car.
15:47That's correct.
15:48Oh, yeah.
15:48Good.
15:50Good.
15:51You said a sports car.
15:53I'm thinking Ferrari or I'd have to buy some more lottery tickets.
15:56Oh, right.
15:56We'd definitely go get some more lottery tickets.
15:58That's the way.
15:59That's just good thinking right there.
16:00Do you have a sports car?
16:01Yes.
16:02Yeah.
16:02What do you do?
16:02A Ferrari.
16:03Oh, you didn't get it.
16:04Come on, bud.
16:06Now, Cedric, what do you think Taraji said?
16:08I think Taraji back then would have been like, she was going to buy a beach house or something.
16:15What did I say?
16:16Taraji said, I blow it on shoes.
16:20Yeah, there you go.
16:21Oh, yeah.
16:22Winning.
16:23Here's another question you were asked.
16:25If you had never become an actor, what career would you have pursued?
16:29Cedric, what do you think Taraji said?
16:31I think Taraji would have been like a fifth grade school teacher.
16:35Sit down.
16:36Y'all sit down somewhere.
16:39Sit down somewhere.
16:42No, I would have guessed this, by the way.
16:44Taraji said hair, makeup, and fashion.
16:46That is you, of course.
16:47Yeah, come on.
16:48That is so you.
16:49That's good.
16:49I mean, wow.
16:50Now, uh...
16:51Taraji, what do you think Cedric said?
16:53What career would have you...
16:54A chef?
16:55Mmm.
16:56I've had your barbecue sauce, man.
16:57Yes.
16:58With Anthony Anderson.
16:59Yeah.
16:59Oh, yeah, man.
17:00AC barbecue.
17:01That's why I said it.
17:02It's delicious.
17:03Thank you, brother.
17:04Yeah, man.
17:05No, Cedric said landscape design.
17:08Landscape?
17:08You have a green thumb?
17:10I've never grown anything in my life.
17:12Why did you say that?
17:13Just for the publicity?
17:14But, you know, at the time, I had to put in...
17:16I was putting in my yard at my house, and I was, like, into it.
17:18Oh, my God.
17:19You know, picking olive trees.
17:20It wasn't a joke landscape design?
17:22No, I was, like, into it.
17:23But you grew up.
17:24You're still there?
17:25I'm out of it.
17:26I'm out of it.
17:26Oh, you're out of it.
17:26Yeah, yeah, yeah.
17:27He's out of it.
17:27Uh, let's talk about Joe Turner's come and gone.
17:30Yes.
17:30Congratulations on this.
17:32And you got...
17:33August Wilson.
17:35We're in rehearsals right now, and you move into the theater for the first time, the Barrymore Theater,
17:39where the original Broadway production also ran.
17:42Yes.
17:42That's good vibes.
17:43That's good vibes.
17:44That's good vibes.
17:45How do we set up what this show is about?
17:47It's turning into the city.
17:48It's like 1911.
17:50It's about everybody that's moving from the South, migrating to the North.
17:54We own a boarding home, and it's all the people that's coming there looking for who they want to be,
18:01kind of leaving an old life, trying to find a new life.
18:04And it's all about that experience of who you want to become, and we deal with all the lives.
18:09Like after the Civil War, 1911.
18:12Slavery and...
18:13And so a lot of black people were moving north for hope and jobs and things like that,
18:17and we encounter a lot of the people coming up north because they stay at our boarding house.
18:22Wow.
18:22And you've got a great director on that.
18:24We have a great director.
18:25Oh, man.
18:25Incredible cast.
18:27Listen, I know you guys know us because of what we've done in television and film,
18:32but this cat, you know, Ruben Santiago is just an amazing Broadway actor in film and television.
18:37But these babies we have in this play, these new and up-and-coming, this next generation...
18:43Really?
18:43That.
18:44Really?
18:44Oh, they're going to blow you away.
18:45And the legendary Debbie Allen is the record.
18:48And Debbie Allen, yeah.
18:49Debbie Allen is my favorite.
18:51Debbie Allen is amazing.
18:53You actually said it's like a full-circle moment with you and Debbie Allen.
18:56Yeah, well, you know, because Debbie is a Howard alumni.
19:00I was pregnant in college, and I didn't know how I was going to finish.
19:04And Debbie Allen and Felicia Rashad started a scholarship in honor of their father.
19:09And you had to sing, dance, and act.
19:11And me with my big old six-month pregnant self, I did some choreography.
19:14I sang a song, and I did a monologue, and I won.
19:17Yeah!
19:18Oh, man.
19:20I was able to finish school and then cut to I go to Hollywood,
19:24and she directs me in a sitcom.
19:26She played my lesbian mother when I did my first series regular on this show called
19:32The Division on Lifetime, if anybody ever remembers that, if you want to look at it.
19:37And then she now is directing me on Broadway, my first Broadway show.
19:43I mean, it just...
19:44I can't believe this is your first, because you were fantastic in Annie on NBC when they did a live
19:49Annie.
19:50You were fantastic in that.
19:51I know you can sing and do everything.
19:54Congrats.
19:54You should be on Broadway.
19:56Cedric, what's it like being directed by Debbie Allen?
19:58I mean, like you say, she's a major choreographer, so that's like, every day is warming up.
20:02It's like, you know, like, I gotta...
20:05Oh, wow.
20:06Oh, the movement.
20:07Oh, how high.
20:07I said he be getting down.
20:08Twerking.
20:09I said he be getting down in there.
20:10A couple of twerks in there.
20:10I'd be like, Debbie, no, like, hey, no.
20:15What does it mean to be in an August Wilson play?
20:18It's an honor.
20:19I mean, this is cool.
20:19It's such an honor.
20:20I, um, you know, I went to an HBCU, so we studied a lot of August Wilson, and I had
20:25the pleasure
20:26of meeting him.
20:27He came to my acting teacher my freshman year.
20:30Wow.
20:30Oh, wow.
20:31Um, had him come and speak to the acting class.
20:34So I feel like this play chose me.
20:37I also did a radio reading of August Wilson's Come and Gone years ago.
20:42Um, and so, again, like, it's just like I was meant to do this.
20:46It's gonna be fantastic.
20:48And you also have some news tonight, right?
20:50Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
20:52We've extended already.
20:54Whoa!
20:55Come on.
20:56Congratulations!
20:57One extra week.
20:58We've extended already.
20:59That's what I'm talking about.
21:01Taraji P. Henson, Cedric the Entertainer, August Wilson, Joe Turner's Come and Gone,
21:07because the performance is March 30th at the Barrymore Theater on Broadway.
21:12More tonight's show after the break.
21:14Stick around, everybody.
21:15What's up?
21:19Is there a camera that I can talk to you straight into the camera?
21:21Try this.
21:22This one.
21:22Of course, sure.
21:23I just want to let you know, all of you out there in TV land, all you bedwetters,
21:27I am one of you.
21:29You are not alone.
21:40Our next guest is a six-time Grammy-winning artist and rock and roll hall of famer
21:46that you know from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
21:48His debut solo album, Honora, comes out this Friday.
21:52Please welcome Flea!
21:53Come on!
22:08You're in a big trouble.
22:09You're in a big trouble.
22:10That's how you do it.
22:13Come on!
22:15That's how you do it!
22:17Come on!
22:20Flea, ladies and gentlemen, Honora, is that this Friday?
22:23Yeah, that's my mother-in-law, you know.
22:25Is that right?
22:25I have a very beautiful mother-in-law.
22:27Gorgeous, beautiful mother-in-law.
22:28Flea, well, let me take a look at you, bud.
22:30Oh, yeah.
22:31Oh, man.
22:31What happened to you?
22:32Well, it's very serious, Jimmy.
22:34Oh, wow.
22:36Oh, wow.
22:37A few days ago, I was walking down the street.
22:39I see this gang of thugs walking towards me.
22:42There's like five guys.
22:43They're all wearing leather jackets.
22:45They're mugging old ladies.
22:46I saw them mug like four old ladies.
22:48Oh, my gosh.
22:49I hate when old ladies get mugged.
22:50Oh, it's awful.
22:51They're carrying bats, knives, chains.
22:54The chains.
22:55Yeah, they look like the bad guys in RoboCop.
22:57I saw them.
22:58They're coming towards me.
22:59Oh.
22:59I, you know, I'm very trained in martial arts my whole life.
23:02Wang Chung.
23:02We all know this.
23:03Yes, you studied Wang Chung.
23:04Yes.
23:04Yeah, yeah.
23:05So I charged them.
23:07A flurry of flying kicks, round kicks.
23:09I jumped up into a tree, did a backflip.
23:11Of course.
23:11Knocked the last guy out.
23:12That's what you're supposed to do.
23:13No, no, I had to.
23:15And they're all lying there on the ground, whimpering, crying, moaning, begging for mercy.
23:20At that moment, I realized that I had suffered a little nick, but justice had been done.
23:25Oh, my God.
23:26That's where it comes.
23:32Wow.
23:32Actually, Jimmy.
23:33Yeah.
23:34I have a confession to make.
23:36Oh, no.
23:36I made that story up.
23:38Oh, my gosh.
23:39You've got to be kidding me.
23:40No, I wanted to act tough.
23:41And, you know, actually what happened was it was a bizarre peeing accident.
23:47I was doing a radio show for Apple Music the other day.
23:51Yeah.
23:51I was playing songs.
23:52I was playing a Lee Morgan song, a great song called Stop Start with Billy Higgins on drums.
23:56This really happened.
23:57This is the real story.
23:58Yeah.
23:58Three minutes left in the song.
23:59I said, I got to go pee.
24:00So I have three minutes before I introduce the next tune.
24:02I jump up.
24:03I run down the hallway.
24:04I pee.
24:04I'm coming back.
24:05I'm wearing my reading glasses.
24:06I'm like, yell something to someone running full sprint down the hallway, mind you.
24:09And, bam, smack into a glass door, flat on my back, blood spurting out of my head.
24:15I'm laying there and I'm going, oh, man, I got to do the Fallon show in a few days.
24:20I'll tell him I got in a fight.
24:24But, you know, strangely enough, this is not my first peeing accident.
24:29Um, I want you to know that I peed the bed until I was 11 or 12 years old.
24:34Okay.
24:34Caused me no shortage of embarrassment.
24:37But, is there a camera that I can talk to straight into the camera?
24:39Try this camera.
24:40This one.
24:40Of course.
24:41Sure.
24:41I just want to let you know, all of you out there in TV land, all you bedwetters, I am
24:46one of you.
24:47You are not alone.
24:50I know what it's like to sleep over at someone's house and you pee the bed and you wake up
24:57in
24:57a sea of urine.
24:58I know the embarrassment.
24:59I know the pain.
25:00I know the lack of self-esteem.
25:03And, to bedwetters, I want you to know, you can be a bedwetter and you can make it all
25:07the way to the Jimmy Fallon mother-
25:09Oh!
25:11Oh!
25:13Yeah!
25:14That's right!
25:15Come on!
25:17Yeah.
25:19That's exactly right!
25:20Yeah.
25:21Tell them, bud.
25:22Yeah, man.
25:23Congratulations on this album.
25:25By the way, as soon as I found out that I heard that you were doing a solo album, a
25:29jazz album,
25:30I think I texted Quest.
25:31I'm like, yo, we've got to get Flea on the show because we love you here so much.
25:35I didn't know that you played the trumpet.
25:36I saw a video years ago of you playing with Nirvana.
25:40Yeah, well, I played the trumpet when I was a little kid.
25:43It was a very, I was in love with it.
25:45I wanted to be Dizzy Gillespie when I grew up.
25:48I met Dizzy Gillespie when I was a kid.
25:50He hugged me into his suit.
25:52I still remember the smell of his cologne, his nice suit, and his kindness with me.
25:56Wow.
25:57And, um...
25:58I love Dizzy Gillespie.
25:59But that was your first, that was your first instrument before bass?
26:01That was my first trumpet.
26:02Yeah.
26:02First trumpet was my first instrument.
26:04And then when I got in high school, I met my friend, Halal Slovak.
26:07He asked me to play bass in this rock band.
26:09And, um, that became my, you know, it took over my life.
26:12I put down the trumpet.
26:13Every once in a while, I'd pick it up and kind of want to play.
26:16You know, I'd pester Dave Guy for a lesson.
26:20Yeah, he knows how to do it, man.
26:22Yeah.
26:22Yeah.
26:23Um, but...
26:24But, so, you know, once in a while, I'd do it.
26:26But about three years ago, I...
26:28And it's always alive in my head and my heart.
26:30For me, the jazz musicians, Clifford Brown, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk,
26:34these are the guys that gave the greatest gift that this country ever gave to the world.
26:38They raised the bar, the cultural bar, so high that people like me are always yearning
26:43and trying to reach it all their lives.
26:45And, um, a few years ago, I decided I'm just going to play trumpet every day, no matter what.
26:49And after a couple of years of doing it, I'm going to make a record.
26:52And what comes, comes.
26:53You know, it wasn't really about a means to an end.
26:56It was just the process, the learning process.
26:58And I'm so happy that I had the opportunity to do it.
27:01Good for you.
27:02This is great.
27:02And this is good for keeping jazz alive.
27:05People listening to jazz music.
27:07Well, you know, I saw Marquise Hill last night at the Village Vanguard,
27:11and that dude is keeping jazz alive.
27:12Really?
27:13Yeah, yeah.
27:13It was serious business.
27:14That's what I'm talking about.
27:15You also have some great guest stars helping out on this album as well.
27:18Yeah, well, the band that I'm playing with this evening,
27:21DeAnthony Parks on drums, Jeff Parker on guitar, Anna Butters on bass,
27:25and, um, uh, what did I leave out?
27:28Jeff and, oh, Josh Johnson, who produced the record.
27:31Yeah.
27:31I'm playing Keys tonight.
27:34It's as much their record as it is my record.
27:36This is a lot of improvisation on this album,
27:38and they really helped me realize what I wanted to do,
27:42meeting me and improvising in a real cosmic space,
27:44and I'm so grateful for their virtuosity and sensitivity.
27:48Uh, what, what, what song, what jam are you playing tonight?
27:50Um, we're gonna play a song, uh, by Frank Ocean,
27:54in the tradition of jazz music, uh, playing great pop songs.
27:58Yeah.
27:59And, you know, not to diminish, uh, the song Thinking About You
28:02by Frank Ocean as a simply a pop song.
28:04It's a very deep song.
28:05But, um, that's what we're doing.
28:06I'm so happy for you.
28:08Yeah.
28:08Thanks for coming on.
28:09Thank you, man.
28:09I can't wait to watch it.
28:10Flea, everybody!
28:13Hot Honora comes out this Friday!
28:16We'll be right back with more Tonight Show.
28:18Stick around.
28:19More Flea!
28:19Come on back!
28:38Our next guest is an Emmy-nominated actress
28:41who stars in the new series
28:43Something Very Bad is Going to Happen.
28:45All eight episodes premiere this Thursday on Netflix.
28:48Please welcome Camila Marrone!
28:51Everybody got this something
28:56Everybody got this something
28:57Come on!
28:59I can't do all that!
29:00Everybody got this something
29:02That's what I'm talking about!
29:04Come on, Camila Marrone!
29:05Everybody got this something
29:09Come on, hot dog!
29:11Great to see you!
29:12Oh, wow!
29:14Uh, Camila, welcome to the show.
29:16It is great to see you.
29:16We were table mates at some event or something.
29:20And you were very fun to...
29:21Just the Met Gala.
29:22No big deal, yeah.
29:22Whatever, okay.
29:23She's very fun to sit with, by the way.
29:25We had a good table.
29:26Thanks, yeah.
29:26Who was it?
29:27Was it me, you?
29:27It was like Gracie Abrams.
29:29Dua Lipa.
29:29Dua Lipa.
29:30Yeah, super fun.
29:30That was a good one.
29:31Michelle Williams.
29:32Yes!
29:33That was a fantastic table.
29:34Yeah, how was I there?
29:35How did I get in?
29:36It was you, me.
29:36What are you talking about?
29:37Please.
29:37Everyone was staring at me like,
29:38I think you're at the wrong table.
29:40I was like, bye.
29:41Congrats, Daisy Jones and the Six.
29:44You know I'm a fan of that,
29:45so congrats on Daisy Jones.
29:46I was going to...
29:49If you haven't seen his face on,
29:50like a kind of a band in the 70s,
29:53a rock band.
29:53Did you learn any instruments?
29:56You know, I had a lot of FOMO
29:57because the whole band got to do
29:59a year of band practice
30:00and they were all in quarantine together
30:02because it was a pandemic
30:03and I'm like the only one
30:04that doesn't play any instruments in the show.
30:06I was like so desperate.
30:08I had so much FOMO.
30:09I was like, can I play the tambourine in the back?
30:11Can I play with an egg shaker?
30:12Like give me an instrument.
30:13Give me some, an egg shaker.
30:15I was so desperate.
30:16I learned how to play guitar
30:17so that when we started filming,
30:18I could like, you know,
30:19vibe out with the band
30:20and they were so tired of it at that point.
30:22They were like,
30:23we're not, we don't need to sing and play guitar.
30:24We're good.
30:25Oh my God.
30:26I'm like the desperate outsider.
30:27Let's talk about your new show.
30:29It's called
30:29Something Very Bad is Going to Happen.
30:31This is exciting.
30:32This is the first show
30:33that the Duffer Brothers have produced
30:35since Stranger Things.
30:36It's, yeah.
30:37This is, I am,
30:39I am freaking out.
30:40Yeah.
30:40And you star alongside
30:42Adam DeMarco.
30:43Adam DeMarco,
30:44who I know from White Lotus.
30:46Yeah.
30:47Overcompensating.
30:47Yes.
30:48He's fantastic.
30:49You play a couple
30:50who are about to get married.
30:52It's the way I'll kind of set it up.
30:53I mean, yeah,
30:54that's a nice way of saying it.
30:56Thank you, yeah.
30:57Something Very Bad does happen.
30:58It's in the title.
30:59It's frightening.
31:00Yeah.
31:00It's a horror.
31:01But did you guys know each other
31:02before filming?
31:03No, we actually didn't meet
31:04until the first day of rehearsal
31:05in the Love Cave,
31:06which if you watch the show,
31:08you'll understand what that is.
31:09Okay.
31:09And we just got along right away
31:11because he loves a bit
31:12and I love a bit.
31:14Love a bit.
31:14And so we've been in a bit
31:16for like a year and a half
31:18since we started the show.
31:19What bits do you do?
31:21Well, he's from Canada
31:23and he taught me about Toronto slang,
31:25but if you're from Toronto,
31:26you say Toronto,
31:27which I didn't know.
31:28And so he taught me about this
31:30like Toronto, Toronto slang.
31:32And it's really interesting
31:33and I would like to quiz you on it
31:35to see if you knew.
31:36I'm pretty good at these
31:37because I thought I was Gen Z
31:39and like cool and with the kids.
31:40I am not cool and with the kids.
31:42Yes.
31:42Oh, come on.
31:43No, the kids are cool.
31:44All right.
31:44Let's see.
31:45Let's do the quiz.
31:45Let's see how I do.
31:46All right.
31:47Give me the, yeah.
31:48This is Toronto slang.
31:49Toronto slang.
31:50Mm-hmm.
31:52Tutu's my word, Kroski.
31:55Tutu's my word, Kroski?
31:56Like, tutu's my word, Kroski.
31:59Tutu's my word, Kroski.
32:01Yeah.
32:02Okay.
32:02So it's got to be.
32:03Oh, you're giving me multiple times.
32:04Yeah, I'm going to give you multiple times.
32:04This will help because I have no idea what you mean.
32:06Okay, okay.
32:07It either can mean I'm being honest, bro,
32:10or you should double check, dude.
32:14Yeah.
32:14Tutu's my word.
32:15Tutu's my word, Kroski.
32:16Tutu's my word, Kroski.
32:17Just say it like you would say to me, like,
32:18yeah, tutu's my word, Kroski.
32:20Tutu's my word, Kroski.
32:21Yeah.
32:21So which one?
32:22I'm being honest?
32:23I'm being honest.
32:23Or you should double check, dude.
32:24You should double check, dude.
32:25Wrong.
32:26Okay.
32:27All right.
32:27So this game, there's right and wrong answers.
32:29Yeah.
32:29There's right and wrong.
32:30How would you use that in a sentence?
32:32Tutu's my word.
32:32A phrase, I'm sorry.
32:33I mean, I'd be like, yeah,
32:37like, tutu's my word, Kroski.
32:38No, no, what would the question be?
32:40You can't ask me all that.
32:41I'm just, I just repeat.
32:42Okay, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.
32:44A lot of rules.
32:45A lot of rules.
32:45This is like touchy territory.
32:47I'm not trying to get the young kids, all right?
32:49Okay, yeah, yeah.
32:50Okay.
32:51That's too maza a lie?
32:56This is real, guys.
32:57That's too maza a lie?
32:58That's too maza a lie.
33:00That's too maza a lie?
33:01Yeah.
33:03That's insane.
33:04Am I right?
33:06Or, you're so cheesy.
33:08Are you for real?
33:09That's insane.
33:11Yes!
