00:15Its name means giraffe gazelle in the Somali language, and with their long necks and slender legs you can see

00:30How about those ears? Those extra-large ears pick up plenty of sounds. They're always on the alert, listening for

00:40Many of the Garinuk's predators, like lions and cheetahs, hunt at night, so the Garinuk's do most of their foraging

00:48Luckily, their smooth coats go from brown to beige to white on the bottom, helping them blend perfectly with the
00:54surrounding landscape.

01:07Plus, it gets an extra boost by standing up on the hind legs, allowing them to reach food up to

01:26But not everything on a Garinuk is oversized. It has a small face, and of course there's a reason for

01:34That narrow muzzle and small mouth means it can eat the leaves and fruits off prickly trees without getting hurt

01:42Sometimes Garinuk's even use their tiny hooves to bring the higher branches down to their mouths.
