00:06Whitewood deer are native to the eastern Tibetan plateau and in their natural habitat they have a
00:14lot of snow and cold weather conditions so we have brought in a 16 ton ice shipment to
00:22provide this really fun snow experience for them.
00:32This is the first time the white-lifte deer have ever seen snow. We have a couple babies in here
00:38and this is their first winter.
00:46Sprinkled around you have some apples and carrots, acacia branches. Normally throughout the day in the wild a white-lifte
00:53deer would be foraging, grazing, looking for little snacks here and there.
00:58And so that's what we've provided today, kind of interspersed throughout the snow.
01:07We were really excited to see how they would respond with this snow experience and they pretty much did exactly
01:14what we hoped that they would.
01:16They went right in for it. They rolled around, they wallowed in the snow and they were really excited.
01:22We were so happy to share the experience with them.
