00:13Ninja Theory is a very ambitious company, it's very passionate
00:18I think what inspires the team is a fundamental desire to create things that are memorable
00:24And that pervades every discipline, art, animation, like we strive to be amongst the best in every area
00:37We strive to make beautiful things and we're inspired by beauty and we want to bring that into the worlds
00:45that we create
00:45All these kind of influences from books and TV as well, you know, anything that really creates a certain ambience
00:52Fundamentally everybody in the company loves games, they love films
00:56There's a bit of a bent towards eastern films
01:00In particular we would always have Friday afternoon sessions where the whole team would sit down and watch
01:05The latest martial arts movie that's come over from Hong Kong
01:11So the artists, they're inspired by, you know, great visuals, great colour, lighting, movement
01:16The coding team is inspired by helping the other artistic teams achieve what they want to do
01:22But also to set new benchmarks for technology
01:26As a designer we want to improve our designs to support all the animations, all the audio, all the art
01:33And everyone just keeps pushing each other higher and higher and higher
01:37To inspire each other we're really playing each other's levels that we've created
01:40Having a look at what the artists have just been doing lately
01:43Walking around and seeing what the animators just create this awesome sequence
01:46Really it's just about seeing the talent that's on show from everyone else in the studio
01:50And that really inspires everyone else to just push harder and make their stuff as good as everyone else's
01:55Keep blasting those liches up our back
01:56Yeah, so a strange thing happened while we were developing Enslaved
02:00A lot of their team members started getting into fitness, into weight training
02:05It became a bit of an obsession so that the whole image of geekdom you get in developers isn't true

02:12Drinking their protein shakes, or I like to call them beefcakes
02:15Adding their little bit of powder in
02:16A few more people would go into the gym, at lunchtime it's the gun show
02:19So, you know, Monkey's kind of helped us in different ways
