39:09So, uh, we arrived. The information that we got was a man is following a woman home. We surround the
39:14property. We hear screaming in the back.
39:17And now see this guy, and there's a, uh, a vicious dog in the backyard with him.
39:23The first officer goes inside, and there's blood all over the place.
39:26He's literally on the ground screaming, saying, don't touch me, get away.
39:30Uh, and then we're able to get him in the cuffs and get the ambulance started.
39:35Does he seem tweaked out?

39:39Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, ma'am. Go ahead, come on. Come on out.
39:43I'm a detective with a night detective unit. I just got a couple follow-up questions.

39:50Uh, well, when I first came in, when I first got here, because he was right behind me.
39:55When I, and I heard he got in the door and I locked it, and he came up and he
39:58sat right here.
39:59And then I ran in, but I told my girls, we got in the room, I called him, and then
40:03we told you guys.
40:04But he was sitting here for, like, maybe four minutes.
40:07And then he got up, and then that's when we started hearing him.
40:10He was banging, banging hard on the door.
40:13So, um, we could hear him from our door being shut in there, being back in our room.
40:18He was banging on it.

40:20So how did this all make you feel?
40:22Terrified.

40:27She has no idea who this person is.
40:29Um, followed her all the way to the house, up until the point she got inside.
40:35And the children actually saw the suspect on the roof through the skylight.
40:41Um, scared him to death.
40:43Uh, the female's calling her husband frantically to get over there.
40:46And ultimately, somehow, the family dog ended up biting the suspect.
40:57I'm glad that we got there when we did, and, uh, we've got the bad guy in custody.
41:03He followed this woman home, trying to get inside the residence.
41:08If I were that husband getting the frantic phone call from my wife and my kids,
41:12I wouldn't, I don't know what I would do.
41:30This is definitely one of those cases where I find peace knowing that we did our job,
41:35to put him behind bars.
41:39When I retire, I'll have these moments in my job that will become precious memories to me.
41:47I truly feel in my gut that we really made a difference.
41:53That day will come where I have to hang up my hat and let the new generation take over.
