01:18So, stai low, move slowly, and take your time.
01:23Be aware che un bucho non è un bucho di un bucho di un bucho.
01:27A good sniper team not only delivers precision fires,
01:30they also deliver intelligence.
01:33Spotting the enemy and communicating this to the rest of the team
01:35can be more significant than just popping off shots.
01:39Sometimes you'll do far more damage simply by talking your teammates through an area,
01:43warning them of dangers, or helping them to focus their efforts.
01:47When you do need to shoot, you'll want to have a solid understanding
01:50of what you're using as a weapon, how far you're shooting,
01:53and how that distance influences things,
01:54as well as what your target should be.
01:58We'll look at the M320 rifle as an example of a sniper's weapon.
02:02This is a .408 calibre rifle with a 7 round magazine and a high power scope.
02:08Looking through the scope reveals a standard mildot reticle.
02:11This is a first focal plane reticle,
02:13which means that the reticle scales according to the zoom level.
02:16The details of how mildot ranging works is a bit beyond this video,
02:20but if you intend to be a high speed sniper, you'll want to look into it.
02:24Usage of a rangefinder simplifies the process,
02:27which most sniper spotter teams will have access to in some form.
02:32Armor 3 allows you to adjust your sight ranging.
02:34Once you know the range to your target, simply adjust as needed,
02:37and the center of your crosshair will correspond to that distance.
02:41Bear in mind that at extended ranges,
02:43the bullet will fly significantly above your point of aim during its flight to the target
02:46and will strike with less force than at closer ranges.
02:50When you're preparing for an engagement, choose your targets carefully.
02:54Focus on high value targets, leaders, people with powerful weapons, and similar.
02:59You generally want to aim for the center of the visible mass of whatever you're shooting at.
03:03While headshots can be achieved at closer ranges,
03:05a good chest or upper torso hit will kill just as well
03:08and has the benefit of offering a larger target area and less chance for a near miss.
03:13You'll want to fire from the most stable stance available to you.
03:16Good positions will generally allow you to fire from the prone
03:19or in a sitting posture if grass obscures a prone perspective.
03:23Before firing, make use of your breath hold key.
03:25By default, this happens when holding your right mouse button down.
03:29This will help to give you temporary aim stabilization
03:32and is essential for long range accuracy.
03:35Be precise.
03:36A single shot is hard to detect, so make your first one count.
03:40Remember that firing repeatedly from the same location
03:42makes it much easier for the enemy to find you and return fire.
03:46Waiting for other battlefield noise to occur before firing
03:49can help to mask the sound of your shots
03:50as well as potentially keep the enemy from realizing that they're taking sniper fire
03:54as well as what other contact they might have.
03:58Most importantly, know when you've become compromised and need to bug out.
04:02Sticking around as a two-man sniper team to face off against a concerted enemy push
04:06to find and destroy you will not end well for you,
04:10particularly if the enemy brings force multipliers like armor, air, or artillery against you.
04:15Moving on from snipers, let's take a look at another specialized infantry role.
04:19That of anti-tank and anti-aircraft launchers.
04:23Rocket or missile launchers come in a few different forms with three primary goals
04:27either to kill vehicles, aircraft, or infantry.
04:31Anti-tank launchers are either guided, like the Titan Shorts and the PCML,
04:35or unguided, like the RPG-42.
04:38Guided projectiles are known as missiles, while unguided are designated as rockets.
04:44Some launchers will have the capability to load different types of rounds,
04:47such as anti-tank and anti-infantry munitions.
04:51Rocket launchers have reticles that are calibrated for the drop of the rocket over range.
04:55This is the RPG-42's reticle.
04:58You can see that there are crosshairs corresponding to the point of aim from 50 to 500 meters.
05:04To use it, mash the distance of your target with the correct reticle aim point and take your shot.
05:09Missile launchers, on the other hand, are primarily concerned with locking on the targets,
05:13be they anti-tank launchers or anti-aircraft.
05:16To lock, click your right mouse button while aiming at a target.
05:20You'll see a box appear, then a diamond fade in over it.
05:24When the diamond turns solid, your lock is acquired and you can fire your missile.
05:28The Titan Short is one launcher with some additional functionality.
05:32While it can lock on the targets and automatically track them,
05:34it can also be fired in an unlocked mode, in which it'll track along with the launcher's aim point.
05:40This can be used to precisely engage structures, infantry, or other targets that can't otherwise be locked.
05:46When it comes to the tactics used with launchers,
05:48the general theme is to act in a manner that respects the tremendous power of the sorts of vehicles and
05:52aircraft you'll be engaging.
05:55Agitating a tank by missing it with an anti-tank rocket is not conducive to your long-term survival.
06:00It's better to just blow them up and be done with it on the first shot, so make that first
06:03shot count.
06:05You generally want to strike armored targets either on their sides, their rear, or from above.
06:10The frontal armor is the strongest and hardest to defeat.
06:13Also, keep in mind where they're looking.
06:15You can tell where the driver and gunner are looking by the orientation of the vehicle and the turret.
06:20Firing from the front means the driver is likely to see your launch signature and communicate to the rest of
06:24the crew,
06:24as well as try to evade it.
06:26While firing when the turret is facing you, it's an easy way to get yourself promptly exploded.
06:31Try to fight vehicles in dense terrain.
06:33It's much easier to knock out a tank or similar in an urban area at close range
06:37than it is to try and hit them from a distance in more open terrain.
06:40Luring vehicles into towns or cities also allows you to fire them from above,
06:44making it that much harder for them to counter you.
06:46Try to select keyhole positions in which you can only be seen or engaged from a narrow angle.
06:52Knocking out a tank is great, but if his buddies saw you fire and return the favor,
06:56your victory celebration may be dramatically cut short.
07:00If you're using rockets against armor, it helps to have multiple gunners ready to engage.
07:04If the first gunner misses, he can rapidly communicate the adjustment needed to the second gunner,
07:09who can use that information to improve his chances for a hit.
07:12When dealing with aircraft, one must keep in mind that many are equipped with flare dispensers
07:16designed to lure heat-seeking missiles away from the target aircraft.
07:20Because of this, you want to take extra care to fire only when the aircraft isn't looking in your direction.
07:26Giving them advance warning allows them to attack the launch of a missile and engage automatically.
07:30If this is the case, you may need to fire two missiles in rapid succession to get a higher probability
07:34for a kill.
07:36Two separate anti-air gunners are ideal for this.
07:39Try to hit the aircraft when they're slow and, if possible, engage them from the rear or sides for maximum
07:44effect.
07:46The key to survival, whether you're an anti-tank or anti-aircraft gunner, is to stay aware of your environment.
07:51Stay aware of the enemy threat and employ your weapons such that the odds are stacked as highly in your
07:55favor as possible.
07:57As with all things, practice makes perfect.
07:59The more time you invest in learning how to fight tanks and aircraft as a launcher equipped infantry,
08:03the more likely you are to succeed when it matters.
