00:00Obviously, A.J. Brown is, if he's healthy, a great receiver.
00:03But we just had another trade with Jalen Waddell.
00:07It was Waddell in a four for a one, a three, and a four.
00:09Does that affect the compensation that A.J. Brown would be due?
00:13Oh, if I was the Eagles, it would only embolden me.
00:15And, like, how many trades have you looked at that the Eagles have made
00:21where you say, Howie lost that trade, just on the surface?
00:24He wins every one of them.
00:26You know what I mean?
00:27Like, so, like, I don't think we're going to wake up in two months
00:32and be like, Oh, yeah, they got A.J. Brown for a two.
00:36It just does not seem like a likely scenario based on –
00:40Now, maybe it happens.
00:41Maybe A.J. throws a fit when we get to –
00:43Well, he's doing everything.
00:45He's posting videos about how the Patriots were his favorite team,
00:47and he's doing everything to put big to be sensitive.
00:50So maybe that happens.
00:51And maybe it gets untenable.
00:53But I'm just telling you, I can't remember a single time
00:58when I saw the terms of an Eagles trade and was like, Wow, Howie gave him away.
01:06Or, Wow, that team got over on Howie.
01:09Like, it just doesn't happen.
01:10And the Waddle thing doesn't change that.
01:13I think the Waddle thing would only embolden him, right?
01:15Like, if he was asking for a one and a two and the, you know,
01:18the Dolphins got a one and a three for Waddle, say, A.J.'s a better –
01:23A.J. Brown is a better player.
01:25Now, I personally – I may actually rather have Waddle.
01:31I guess Denver wanted Waddle, right?
01:33Yeah, I think Waddle has – I think Waddle might have –
01:36to me, I think Waddle's game might be more sustainable as he gets older.
01:44The thing I worry about with A.J. Brown is the knee, which that's part of it.
01:48But also, like, a lot of times big receivers fall off a cliff.
01:53Like, Larry Fitzgerald would be the outlier as, like, a guy who really lasted.
01:58But Larry Fitzgerald, if you remember, almost had to, like, completely reinvent himself.
02:03You mentioned that before, the route running.
02:05Yeah, he was a big outside receiver, down the field guy.
02:08As he got older, he turned into a big slot.
02:10It's rare that guys do that, can pull that off.
02:13But if you look like your Andre Johnson, your Julio Jones,
02:16when those guys lost it, they lost it fast.
02:20And, like, so the bigger, bulkier receiver who relies more on his physical ability
02:26and he plays bully ball, you know, a lot of times that guy,
02:30when they get older, can lose it faster.
02:32And so that would be my concern with A.J. Brown,
02:35where I think Waddle is a little bit more of a –
02:38you can do so many different things with him.
02:41Yeah, I guess that they thought Waddle was better for their quarterback situation.
02:47That's what they –
02:48I really like the acquisition of Waddle.
02:51Like, I think Waddle for the Broncos,
02:53because they have so many complementary guys, you know?
02:56Like, they've got so many, like, twos and threes,
02:58like Sutton, Mims, Franklin, Bryant, the rookie last year,
03:04you know, Evan Ingram at tight end,
03:06and, you know, and R.J. Harvey and J.K. Dobbins at running back.
03:12Like, they've got so many guys where it's like,
03:13this is a complementary piece, that's a complementary piece.
03:16So now I think having Waddle kind of allows everybody to settle into roles
03:21that are probably more commensurate with who they are.
03:26So I think like, and S-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T
