00:00Max Crosby wants out at Vegas. Let's start with that. Does Max Crosby, he wants out. What are you hearing
00:08from Vegas? What's that situation going to turn out to be?
00:11It's complicated. So it really started all this on December 23rd. So he was initially hurt in mid-October. I
00:23think the date was October 17th. They played the Chiefs in mid-October, somewhere in there. Hurt his knee. And
00:28it was a situation or an injury he could play through, but wasn't going to get better.
00:35And he was going to have to deal with increasing pain over the course of the year, which he did.
00:41It got to the point at the end of December where it was, let's get some more scans. So with
00:45two games left, they get these additional scans done on the knee. And the Raiders make the decision that they're
00:52going to shut him down. There was an issue in the communication of that. Alex Guerrero was involved in that.
00:59And then coming out of all of that, Max really felt like when they came back to him and said,
01:07we're shutting you down the rest of the year, Max felt like the reason they were shutting him down was
01:11because they wanted to tank for the first overall pick.
01:14And that really pissed Max off because he was, I mean, for a guy who's only been to the playoffs
01:22once, like being able to play full seasons and accomplish things statistically and make all pros and all that different
01:29stuff, like that's important to him because he hasn't been able to have the playoff success.
01:33So his personal, his level of personal achievement is important to him. So that created a huge issue. Obviously the
01:40coaching staff that was there, isn't there anymore. But a lot of the front office people are. And so now
01:46they're sort of in a spot where, you know, Clint Kubiak came in earlier this week. He had a cup
01:53of coffee with Max. That went well by all accounts, but I don't think that did much to move the
01:58needle as far as where, you know, he stands with the team.
02:02And, you know, the interesting thing about it is Max has been really loyal over the years to the Raiders,
02:08loyal to the Davis family. You know, I think he always envisioned himself as like this kind of one franchise
02:18guy, like he just, he only wants to play for one team.
02:22And because of all of this, now he's, you know, started to open the door to demanding a trade. And
02:28I think once you open that door, it can be kind of hard to go back. So we'll see what
02:33happens, but that's the history behind it. I think he probably gets traded, you know, but, but Clint Kubiak had
02:40a good conversation with him earlier in the week. So we'll see where it goes.
02:43We'll see where he's going.
