👉 DO YOU AGREE WITH WHAT WE PUBLISH? SO DON'T JUST STOP AT LIKES.

We are OZ Nová Ľavica. Membership is for liberal / libertarian leftists (we verify this with a political compass).

💶 Membership: min. €5 twice a year.

Passive membership also makes sense - every small financial support really helps us. We do not require any mandatory activities!

00:00Car is not freedom on wheels. A car is a state subsidy on wheels.
00:05Because every single car causes, statistically speaking, damage worth roughly 2,000 to 3,000 euros per year.
00:14And the driver doesn't pay for it. We all do, through our taxes.
00:20Accident cleanups, health care costs, police interventions, pollution, asthma, cancer, climate damage,
00:27roads, parking, crumbling infrastructure, noise, stress, broken, unsafe cities.
00:35And the driver? They might pay 500 to 1,500 euros a year. The rest? Subsidized by society.
00:44In other words, every single car is subsidized by 500 euros to 2,500 euros per year.
00:52Now imagine a different reality. What if everyone paid for the damage they statistically cause?
00:59Insurance wouldn't be 300 or 500 euros. It would be 2,000 to 3,500 euros per year.
01:08And at that point, half the cars would disappear from the roads overnight.
01:13Cities would breathe again, and public transport would take off.
01:18But this is something people deliberately don't talk about.
01:22In today's consumer capitalism, the car is sold as freedom.
01:27A freedom that sits idly 90% of the time is up to 5,000% more dangerous than public
01:34transport,
01:36and in a lifetime costs you 260,000 to 380,000 euros, depending on the way you drive.
01:44And governments pay another 75,000 to 150,000 euros.
01:52Freedom worth 500,000 euros isn't freedom.
01:57The question is simple.
01:58Is it fair that people who don't own a car are subsidizing those who do
02:03with up to 150,000 euros with their taxes?
