00:09The
00:38Good evening, just nine games to go
00:41and the pressure is really starting to build in the Premiership.
00:44Who will rise to it and who will fade away?
00:47Well, highlights and analysis of today's four games on the way
00:50with a man who always rises to the occasion, Stephen Cragan,
00:54and his old team Motherwell beat Celtic at Fir Park in December.
00:57They met again today, this time at Celtic Park,
01:00where Motherwell haven't won in over ten years.
01:28Ryder produces another magic Celtic moment to probably win this game.
01:37Nine games to go, a title on the line, any points dropped could be so costly.
01:42Celtic five points behind Hearts before the weekend, simply must win.
01:47Motherwell's outside chances were dealt a monumental blow in Dundee last Saturday.
01:52Well, after four successive road trips, Celtic return to home comforts,
01:56although there weren't many of those three weeks ago, as Hibs won here.
01:59Tierney's fit to start, McGregor isn't.
02:02Araujo misses out.
02:03But as for Motherwell, their remarkable forms,
02:05tempered slightly by what's been going on away from home,
02:08Sparrow replaces the ineligible Welsh.
02:13It's a win apiece between these two this season,
02:16Celtic won by the odd goal in five in the autumn,
02:19and a touch fortuitous to do so.
02:22Motherwell were far from fortuitous when they turn the tables in December at Fir Park.
02:27There's a chance for Negren, and it breaks back kindly to Callum Ward.
02:33Well, it's caught him by surprise here, bounced off Longelow, he recovered well.
02:41Here's Tierney.
02:44Bonus for Martin O'Neill to have Tierney back in the side,
02:47he's been brought down though.
02:53And Saeed, who scored against Celtic in Lanarkshire,
02:59against then Wilfred Nancey's team,
03:01it's he who brought Tierney down.
03:09It's going to be Tierney's free kick.
03:12Ward claws it away.
03:17A tatty for Donovan, and now Oxlade-Chamberlain.
03:23Tenecte to Tierney.
03:27It's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, can't resist!
03:30It's right along the line, and somehow it doesn't go in.
03:38This is remarkable.
03:40Ward's got a touch there, it's a magnificent save,
03:43and he's probably earned his luck.
03:47Didn't quite go over.
03:51Motherwell dodge a bullet.
04:00He knows this is a huge chance to give Celtic the lead.
04:07Motherwell's defeat last week, their first in ten outings.
04:11They're not used to losing.
04:16And they've played with confidence in the match.
04:21I don't know, Hatati's made an absolute meal of that,
04:23and Elijah just takes full advantage!
04:291-0 Motherwell!
04:34And this remarkable season for the Steelmen just continues to produce.
04:41And this is a gift.
04:43Rio, Hatati, Dilly, dallying on the edge of his own box.
04:48And Elijah Dust finishes it off.
04:53And Celtic have lost our last two home games to Stuttgart and Hebs.
04:58Are in trouble again.
04:59Elliot Watt pickpocketing Hatati.
05:07Tenecte and Tierney.
05:10And Celtic, what a quick response.
05:14Fans are a little bit irked with what they are seeing right now.
05:21But Sparrow's giving it away.
05:23Negrin across.
05:25And Yen!
05:27And 1-1!
05:33Well, they were only behind six minutes.
05:40And O'Neill's men are back on terms.
05:44Good anticipation by Negrin to capitalise on the error.
05:49It's an error at both ends.
05:51It's led to the two goals.
05:58Here's Just.
06:03Saeed.
06:04And he forces the same from Sinisalo.
06:06And Slattery's effort blocked by Tierney.
06:13Another reminder.
06:15Celtic are very much in our game here.
06:21Dyson Maida.
06:23Negrin.
06:24And Tanchara.
06:27It's a little bit of hesitancy there.
06:30Imani was the shootout hero at Ibrox in the cup six days ago.
06:35There's Negrin.
06:38And that's taken a deflection as it clatters off the post.
06:44And Celtic fans happy with their team's performance early in the second half.
06:54My mother will haven't won here since December 2015.
06:59And Yang looking to ensure that record goes on.
07:03Indeed their win.
07:04Fir Park was their first over the champions since then.
07:08Louis Moultz double.
07:10Won the match here.
07:11Yang's had a very good game so far.
07:18McEwen's corner.
07:20Maida flattened at the back there by Longolo.
07:24And John Beaton hasn't seen anything untoward.
07:29And Kevin Clancy's on VAR duties is pouring over the replays of this.
07:38A big moment potentially coming in here.
07:41Ward got caught a little bit.
07:43The mother will keep her.
07:46It could be a defining moment in the season this.
07:49And John Beaton is going to come and have a look at it.
07:53And Longolo is very nervous about the outcome here.
08:00If you see this as a penalty.
08:04Then Celtic will have the chance to completely turn the tables.
08:10He's seen enough.
08:13And John Beaton will award Celtic the spot kick.
08:19And an opportunity to go 2-1 up.
08:21And Longolo's in even more trouble.
08:23He's off.
08:25Motherweiler down to ten.
08:31The man who won the penalty shootout last week on the other side of this city.
08:36Has the chance to put Celtic in front.
08:40Which he does.
08:44With a plumb.
08:47And from behind Celtic lead.
08:51A game they simply have to win.
08:57Little doubt.
08:58As soon as he hit it.
09:05Tierney.
09:08He's dug it out.
09:09And Maida!
09:12Ward in the way.
09:18A chance for Celtic to surely seal it.
09:21Lovely touch by Yang.
09:23Maida couldn't force it home.
09:24Good goalkeeping.
09:29It's been misjudged in the middle of the park.
09:32And Yang Yunjun's on to it!
09:33And it's 3-1.
09:35And it's 3-1.
09:40And surely game over.
09:45This could end up being a monumental three points for Celtic.
09:50And surely all but ends Motherwell's hopes of being part of the conversation.
09:59Well it's a big win for us to come from behind.
10:02To come from behind and play in the manner in which we did.
10:05And I think that naturally I'm delighted with the performance.
10:10To fight back with all the things that were kind of sort of mounting up for us.
10:16You know injuries to players.
10:17All sorts of things like this here.
10:19So the team have found spirit.
10:20But spirit alone not do it.
10:23They played.
10:24And they played brilliantly today.
10:26And that's a delight.
10:28And I thought it was for a neutral.
10:30Not that I am.
10:31It was a really great game of football.
10:33No of course it hurts.
10:34It hurts as hell.
10:35We hate losing.
10:36And love winning.
10:37And now we've not gotten anything out of the last two games.
10:40Even though we've invested a lot.
10:41I think the tempo was really high at times.
10:44Some of the quality in the build up was really really good.
10:46Our pressing was at times extremely good.
10:48We got ourselves in a position where you could argue that.
10:52And fair enough.
10:55That he holds him a little bit too long in that duel.
10:57And it results in a penalty.
10:58And then obviously because it's a pretty big chance.
11:02And it results in a red card as well.
11:04Which made it difficult for us.
11:06Even though we tried our best.
11:07To get back into the game and get a result.
11:10Obviously eight games for Celtic to go.
11:12How would you describe the position you're in right now?
11:15I don't know.
11:16I think I'd rather be at top of the league rather than chasing it.
11:19I would have said that.
11:19I'd rather be 15 points clear to tell you the truth.
11:22It's not going to happen.
11:23But it's difficult when you're chasing.
11:25It really is difficult.
11:27But that's all we can do.
11:28We just try and keep chasing.
11:29And see where, eventually where we go.
11:34Such an important win for Celtic in the title race, Stephen.
11:38But it was Motherwell who scored first.
11:40Rio Hattati getting his pocket picked.
11:42Yeah, I think for long spells in the first half, Motherwell were trying to dictate the game with the ball.
11:47But without the ball.
11:48And I mean by pressing high and taking risks and trying to put Celtic on the back foot.
11:52And this is a prime example of it.
11:54Because so often you see midfield players, when the ball goes back towards the goalkeeper,
11:57they just stand and watch what's happening ahead of them.
11:59But Elliott Watt takes the game by the scruff of the neck.
12:01He takes the initiative, Tom.
12:02He releases himself from midfield.
12:04He wins the ball high up.
12:05I think he puts a little bit of doubt in the Rio Hattati's mind.
12:07He doesn't see him coming.
12:08And suddenly, look at the number of bodies Motherwell have around the ball.
12:11The four players up the pitch.
12:12It's good play by Callum Slattery.
12:14I'm not too sure Elijah just strikes it cleanly.
12:16But it comes off the outside of his foot.
12:18And I think at that stage, they deserve to be ahead.
12:19They've been the better team.
12:20But you always know at Celtic Park, Celtic are going to come back at you.
12:23Hattati scanned twice over his left shoulder, but didn't look over his right.
12:26And that's where he came from.
12:27He was going to play the blind pass, wasn't he?
12:29And then he realised he couldn't.
12:30And that's why, because if Elliott Watt doesn't press,
12:32he's able to turn out free and go and do that.
12:35So that's what Jens Berthelasky wants.
12:36He wants his team to be aggressive and be on the front foot.
12:39Yeah, Yang equalised.
12:40A brilliant game today, Yang.
12:42Again, though, it comes from a defensive era, this time from Motherwell.
12:46Yeah, and you don't like taking any of the credit away from the team that scores the goal.
12:50But Motherwell came to Celtic Park earlier in the season
12:52and they get caught playing in areas they probably didn't need to play.
12:56And they took too many risks.
12:57They give away a silly goal.
12:58And I just think there was opportunities here to play forward,
13:01to get the ball out of your feet,
13:02just to relieve a little bit of pressure.
13:04Because look at the number of Celtic players around the ball.
13:06So once you start playing two, three, four-yard passes,
13:08all you're doing is asking them to come and put you under pressure.
13:12I think it looks like Elijah Josh standing at the edge of the box.
13:14He's standing the ball watching.
13:15You can see the frustration of the Motherwell players
13:17because they were in a good position in the game.
13:19This is a position that should have been freed
13:21with a little bit of just mindset of clearing the ball.
13:24They don't do that.
13:25And then suddenly, out of nowhere,
13:26but listen, credit to Yang.
13:27He's on the front foot.
13:28He's proactive.
13:29He's waiting for the ball to come to him.
13:30And at a time when Motherwell had played well,
13:32suddenly found a way back into the game.
13:34It's just the way they play though, isn't it?
13:35And they're definitely not going to change under Jensbert-Talasku.
13:38And the amount of times they've done that throughout the season
13:40and it has worked and they've broken the press and got away.
13:43So, I mean, it's the way they play
13:44and they're going to get caught at the odd time.
13:46Emmanuel Langello, it's sent off for this holding on Maeda.
13:51Should the referee have spotted it in real time?
13:53I think John Beaton should have.
13:55John's probably classed as one of the top three or four referees
13:57and the ball travels a long way.
13:59John's in the ideal position.
14:01Emmanuel Langello, it's really untidy.
14:04He just loses the flight of the ball.
14:06He then realises that Jensbert-Talasku is away from him.
14:09First thing he does when he's in trouble,
14:10he puts his arm onto him.
14:11He's not even looking at the ball, Tom.
14:13So, he's asking for a little bit of trouble.
14:14The minute Jensbert-Talasku goes to the ground,
14:17then John Beaton or VAR has a decision to make.
14:19It's an open goal.
14:20I think Jensbert-Talasku said it himself.
14:22It's a really clear-cut opportunity.
14:23Once the free kick is given,
14:24or once John Beaton has a look at it,
14:26there can only be one outcome,
14:27which, unfortunately, for Motherwell is a penalty kick.
14:28Yeah, and this is an instance, you know,
14:30VAR's been slaughtered throughout the season
14:32by a lot of people,
14:33but this is an instance when VAR has worked
14:35because the referee hasn't spotted it on pitch.
14:37It's a good intervention.
14:38It is a good intervention.
14:39We criticise it often enough for not making the right decisions.
14:41It's a good intervention.
14:42And Svancho goes up with a little bit of composure.
14:44At this stage, the momentum had really turned
14:46and Svancho went on the front foot,
14:47really pushing the game.
14:48Yeah, I mean, how big a win was that for Celtic,
14:50given how little room for error there is
14:52at the top of the table?
14:54Well, you think how many key players Celtic are missing?
14:57Arahol is missing today.
14:58Callum McGregor is missing.
14:59Jota, of course, has been out for a long time.
15:00Cameron Carter-Vickers, Arna Engels.
15:02So they're players who would all probably make Celtic better.
15:04So winning those games with those players missing,
15:07absolutely vital,
15:08but then you go behind
15:09and the crowd's starting to get a little bit anxious
15:11around the stadium.
15:12You have to recover, and they did.
15:13They did.
15:13I mentioned Yang earlier,
15:15outstanding performance,
15:16but him and Mieda,
15:17more so in the second half,
15:19their work rate kind of drove Celtic on.
15:21Well, this came right at the end of the first half
15:23when Martin O'Neill and Sean Maloney
15:24were trying to get the message on.
15:25For Celtic, they released themselves
15:27from their positions and go and press.
15:28I've just felt the first half,
15:30they were so tentative,
15:31they were so passive in the game.
15:32Actually, at times,
15:33the crowd were trying to usher the team up the pitch.
15:35It's as if they just sat in their slot,
15:37allowed Muddlewood to pass the ball,
15:38pass around and pass through them.
15:40But this is what happens
15:41when you release yourself.
15:42You put the opposition under pressure.
15:43You can engage with people
15:45and suddenly you can start winning the ball high up.
15:46So this was just before halftime,
15:48and I imagine the message
15:49from the coaching staff was
15:50start the second half that way.
15:52And that's exactly what they've done.
15:53Look at the difference in the body language
15:54and the pressure and attitude
15:56of the Celtic players.
15:57Yang is the one who's triggering it.
15:58He's going to put under pressure.
15:59He doesn't stop.
16:00Colby Donovan,
16:00who in the first half was staying at right back,
16:03he puts himself into the game
16:04and suddenly you win the ball.
16:05And look at the bodies you have ahead of the ball.
16:07Motherwell then couldn't play through the press.
16:09They couldn't play over the press.
16:10Celtic started to suffocate them a little bit more
16:12and all the energy was starting to shift
16:14around the stadium
16:14and the players were starting to grow into it.
16:16I think Negrin should have probably got a shot off.
16:18There's no doubt about it.
16:19And we spoke about Donovan on one side.
16:21Kieran Tierney does the exact same thing.
16:22Pressure.
16:23Rather than worrying about what's behind you,
16:25think about what's in front of you.
16:27And that just changed the whole dynamic.
16:28And from then on,
16:29Motherwell probably done okay
16:31to get themselves into it
16:31and kind of weathered the storm.
16:32But this is the sucker punch.
16:33Down to ten players.
16:34You speak about Yang being proactive
16:36and playing very well
16:37and having that forward-thinking attitude.
16:39He just gambles on a run, Tomo.
16:41Stephen O'Donnell probably should go and maybe hit it.
16:43Paul McGinn thinks he's going to hit it.
16:45A little bit of hesitation.
16:46And Celtic's a key player over the past few weeks.
16:48A touch on his knee to set him up in the finish.
16:51Exceptional.
16:51Back-to-back defeats from Motherwell.
16:54It's been such an incredible season for them.
16:55But is that any talk of a title challenge for them over?
17:00The thing is,
17:00they probably didn't speak about the title challenge.
17:02Some of the fans did.
17:03Other people did.
17:04I don't think they've ever been close enough to hearts,
17:06to class themselves as title challengers.
17:09Top four, top five probably is good for them.
17:11They're nice sitting fourth on the table.
17:12Can they catch Rangers?
17:13Can they catch Celtic?
17:14They've got, what, eight games to go.
17:16And they're certainly in a decent position.
17:17Certainly are.
17:18Okay, well,
17:19Stephen Robinson was named Aberdeen head coach
17:21on Thursday.
17:22And his first game was today
17:23at Pataudry against Falkirk.
17:27The Stephen Robinson era begins at Pataudry.
17:30The former St Mirren manager was appointed on Thursday
17:33and faces Falkirk just two days later,
17:36looking to end the don's run of six without a win.
17:39He reverts his new charges to the 3-5-2.
17:42He played at St Mirren,
17:43making four changes in the process.
17:45Morrison, Malloy, Geiger and Lazatic
17:47all coming in from the start.
17:50Falkirk name aside,
17:52unchanged from the 11 that beat Dundee United
17:54last week in the Scottish Cup quarterfinals.
17:56The big news is that Gary Oliver
17:57is back from injury.
17:59He's on the bench.
18:03A early chance for Falkirk to
18:05put this one in.
18:07Eventually they do.
18:08And it's glanced wide at the back post.
18:10Falkirk appealing for the corner.
18:13Tate with his head in his hands.
18:16Looking to make a fast start.
18:18They've got a good record
18:19against Aberdeen this season.
18:22He might have gone ahead there.
18:26Paul Morden.
18:28Skipping inside.
18:29The young right-back doing well.
18:33And up to Frame.
18:35Another young fullback in this don's team.
18:37He's charging forward.
18:38He slides in and catches Cole Donaldson.
18:42And there could be a decision
18:43for the referee to make here.
18:46But it looks like Mitchell Frame
18:49might have gotten away with one.
18:52The studs are certainly up.
18:54He doesn't really catch Donaldson.
18:58Plenty to ponder for Stephen Robinson
18:59in his first game.
19:01Watching on from this corner.
19:03It could break.
19:04No.
19:05Falkirk deny.
19:06Aberdeen going close there
19:08for the first time.
19:11Graham Shinney
19:12on the follow-up.
19:14Almost poking Aberdeen
19:15into the lead.
19:17It was Morrison
19:18with the initial header.
19:20Dylan Tate blocking.
19:21And then again
19:21to deny Shinney.
19:27Another Aberdeen corner.
19:30Lazatic
19:30chests it down
19:31and drills it.
19:33I think it was Barney Stewart
19:34who got it away
19:36and then Dennis Geiger
19:37slashing wildly.
19:40Barney Stewart
19:41doing his defensive duties.
19:42I think it might have been
19:43going off target anyway.
19:45This shot from Marko Lazatic.
19:48Close range as well.
19:56John McGlynn.
19:57It's just one win
19:59to secure
19:59the top six berth.
20:03Spencer lifts that one in.
20:06Not really dealt with
20:07in the sun.
20:08It breaks for Brogio.
20:10It's over the bar
20:11I think.
20:12Finn Yates in fact
20:13was offside
20:14as he laid that ball
20:15back to the
20:16on-loan Aston Villa
20:18teenager.
20:19Stewart with the flick.
20:21Yates knocking it back
20:22and Brogio
20:23in a wild slash.
20:30Approaching half time.
20:32We remain goalless
20:33here in the
20:35sunshine in Aberdeen.
20:39Falkirk
20:39who have maybe just
20:40had the slightly better
20:41of the chances.
20:42Here they go again.
20:43Brogio into the box.
20:45A couple of nice turns.
20:47Can he pick out
20:47a man in the middle?
20:48It goes just
20:49behind.
20:51I think that's Kevin
20:52Nisbet back there.
20:56Brogio
20:57has been a threat
20:58for Falkirk
20:59this afternoon.
21:00He's been a good signing
21:01since arriving
21:02in January.
21:04He's on the ball now.
21:07Chance to cross
21:08into the front post.
21:09That might still
21:10break for Spencer
21:11and it's blocked
21:12just wide.
21:13Jack Milne
21:14getting the congratulations
21:15in the middle.
21:18Another corner
21:18for Falkirk
21:19as they put some
21:20pressure on
21:21right at the end
21:22of the first half.
21:25Brogio
21:26with the delivery.
21:28Spencer with the shot.
21:29Milne with the block.
21:37Milne with the block.
21:38It breaks for Brogio.
21:40Good save
21:41to Dimitar Mitov.
21:44Falkirk
21:45starting the second half
21:46the way they ended
21:47the first
21:48in the Aberdeen box.
21:52Mitov looked alive
21:54there and Robinson
21:54having to encourage
21:55his new men.
22:00Anderson just back
22:01to Bain.
22:02It's not the best
22:03touch under
22:03a bit of pressure
22:05from Lazatic
22:06and he just lifts it
22:07over the striker's head.
22:09Aberdeen pressing
22:10high up the pitch
22:11this time.
22:12Falkirk
22:12able to break the press
22:14and here goes
22:15Leon McCann.
22:19The ball in.
22:20Not the best
22:20but Brogio spins
22:21away from frame
22:22who slipped.
22:24Yates in the middle.
22:25Nice turn
22:25and the shot
22:26just wide.
22:29Callum Scott
22:30says that's
22:30taking a deflection.
22:32Big chance
22:32for Finn Yates.
22:36Another opportunity
22:37for Falkirk
22:38to try and break
22:40the deadlock
22:40here at Pataudry.
22:43It was a nice turn
22:44from Yates.
22:45Didn't have the finish.
22:49Gives the ball away.
22:52Just a bit much
22:52of Dylan Lobben there.
22:56Spencer looking for options
22:57Lyle Cameron
22:58putting him under
22:58real pressure.
23:01No free kick.
23:04Bain takes his time
23:05and Nisbet
23:06closes him down
23:07and the ball's
23:08in the back of the net
23:10and Aberdeen
23:11have the lead
23:13in Steven Robinson's
23:14first game in charge
23:16and it's a mistake
23:17from Scott Bain
23:18at the back.
23:21It all comes from
23:22that press
23:23from Lyle Cameron
23:25and Bain just
23:26takes his time.
23:29Does Scott Bain
23:30even end up
23:31punching that
23:31into his own net?
23:33Kevin Nisbet
23:34will certainly claim it.
23:35That will go down
23:35as his seventh
23:36league goal
23:37of the season
23:38as he just nods in.
23:41A nightmare
23:42for Scott Bain.
23:43He won't want to see
23:43that one back
23:44and Falkirk
23:45have gifted
23:46Aberdeen a goal.
23:50A real present
23:51for Steven Robinson
23:52on his Aberdeen debut.
23:56John McGlynn
23:57would have rather
23:57a bottle of wine
23:58or something.
24:05Headed away.
24:07Cartwright controls.
24:11McCann.
24:13Pick out a man
24:14in the middle.
24:14Barney Stewart
24:15was lurking.
24:18Falkirk
24:19desperate now.
24:23McCann.
24:24Again getting his head
24:25up.
24:25This time he just
24:25lays it off to
24:26Ethan Ross
24:28who skips inside.
24:29The ball in comes
24:29now.
24:30There's Barney Stewart!
24:34And his story
24:35just keeps getting
24:36better.
24:39he nods in
24:40a late leveller
24:41for Falkirk.
24:45And Steven Robinson's
24:47dream debut
24:48is crushed
24:50by that Falkirk goal.
24:53What about that
24:55ball in from
24:55Ethan Ross as well?
24:57And Barney Stewart
24:58just attacks it
24:59and nods it
25:00into the corner
25:01in the 89th minute.
25:03Falkirk
25:04have their equaliser.
25:10So Steven Robinson's
25:12first game
25:12ends in a drop.
25:17Satisfied to go
25:18back down the road
25:18considering that
25:19we were behind
25:20with not so long
25:21the goal.
25:21Great mentality
25:22for the players.
25:23Kept going.
25:25Sub's made a
25:25difference.
25:26Obviously
25:26Ethan gets a
25:27great ball
25:28for Barney's
25:28goal.
25:30Barney was a
25:31constant threat
25:32all day
25:33and delighted
25:34for him to
25:35get another goal.
25:36Your manager
25:37has just
25:37described you
25:38as being a
25:39revelation
25:39this season.
25:42I couldn't
25:42tell you what
25:43that word
25:43means but
25:44it sounds
25:44like a good
25:45thing.
25:45We've lost
25:46five out of
25:46the last
25:47six games
25:47so a point
25:49going forward
25:50we want more
25:50than that
25:51against Falkirk
25:51but it's a
25:52start.
25:53There is much
25:54more to come
25:54in possession.
25:56Sometimes when
25:56you want the
25:57players to get
25:58on the ball
25:59and enjoy
25:59themselves
25:59get out of
26:00the opposite
26:00side of the
26:00pitch
26:01show how good
26:01a player you
26:02are but when
26:02you're not
26:02winning
26:03confidence is
26:04fragile.
26:05The one thing
26:05we take out
26:06of today is
26:06we've put a
26:07lot more
26:08structure in place
26:08in one day
26:09but there's
26:10a lot of
26:10work to be
26:11done and a
26:11lot of
26:11improvement in
26:12possession which
26:13we've not been
26:13able to work
26:14on yet.
26:16No winning
26:16start for
26:16Stephen Robinson
26:17having to settle
26:18for a point
26:18against Falkirk
26:19and I think
26:19that's probably
26:20just about the
26:20right result in
26:21the end Stephen.
26:22I think in the
26:23balance of play
26:24the chances
26:25created Falkirk
26:27were probably
26:27better with the
26:28ball.
26:28We know they're
26:28a good side
26:29there's so much
26:30continuity over the
26:30past three years
26:31you could see
26:32they've been a
26:32side that have
26:33been together for
26:33a while whereas
26:34Aberdeen and
26:35the other hand are
26:35still trying to
26:36find their way
26:36they're lacking a
26:37little bit of
26:39shape ever so
26:39slightly.
26:40Players may be
26:40playing different
26:41positions so it
26:42was probably a
26:43bit of a mix
26:45for Aberdeen
26:45but I think
26:46certainly both
26:47teams will take
26:48the point but
26:48they would have
26:48loved the three.
26:49Yeah I agree
26:50with that.
26:50Kevin Nisbet
26:51put Aberdeen
26:51ahead not Scott
26:52Bane's finest
26:52moment.
26:53No it's not but
26:54this was just a
26:55slight difference
26:55from Aberdeen
26:56where we just
26:57spoke about
26:57Motherwell and
26:58their pressing
26:58and going chasing
26:59things down.
27:00I think previously
27:02Aberdeen because
27:02their confidence
27:03is low they may
27:03not have chased
27:04this down.
27:04Good play by
27:05Lyle Cameron
27:05trying to win
27:06the ball high up
27:07but just look at
27:07the intent of the
27:09Aberdeen players
27:09actually the
27:10Aberdeen team
27:10if you can see
27:11them behind they
27:11all want to
27:12squeeze.
27:12Stephen's message
27:13will have been
27:13when the ball
27:14goes back we
27:15have to go
27:15forward.
27:16So if Kevin
27:16Nisbet doesn't
27:17take the gamble
27:17doesn't go the
27:19extra five or ten
27:19yards he doesn't
27:20get the goal.
27:21Try and force
27:22mistakes out of
27:22people.
27:23Scott Bane wants
27:24to play from
27:24the back he
27:25wants to take
27:25risks just like
27:26the Motherwell
27:26goalkeeper does
27:27and you can pick
27:28people's pocket
27:29is the phrase you
27:29used earlier and
27:30that's exactly what
27:30he does.
27:31That's through just
27:32the will of
27:33wanting to run
27:33forward and try
27:34and do something
27:34for your team.
27:35How big a rebuild
27:36is Stephen
27:36Robinson going to
27:37have in the
27:38summer by the
27:38Saberine squad?
27:39I think it's
27:40going to be huge
27:40no doubt about
27:41it.
27:41I mean they have
27:41spent quite a lot
27:42of money and
27:43quite a lot of
27:43change in January.
27:45It's never the
27:46ideal time to do
27:47so because you're
27:48getting players who
27:48are fit who are
27:49not fit haven't
27:49been playing you're
27:50trying to gel them
27:51all together and
27:52Stephen's got a lot
27:52of injury like
27:53Tobers is out
27:54Canester's out
27:54Nicky Devlin's not
27:55available so having
27:57to play a back three
27:57that probably isn't
27:58your first choice
27:59back three but you've
28:00got to do what
28:01you've got to do.
28:01He knows how to
28:02set teams up
28:03he knows how to
28:03structurally to work
28:04teams.
28:04They've got a big
28:05job on their hands
28:05between now and the
28:06end of the season
28:07never mind the
28:07rebuild in the
28:07summer.
28:08Barry Stewart got
28:09his fourth goal in
28:10his last three games
28:11what a season he's
28:11having?
28:12I mean he said he
28:13doesn't know what a
28:14revelation is well
28:14just go and watch
28:15the last ten games
28:16young man and you'll
28:16see what a
28:18revelation is.
28:19Just as all round
28:20game Tom has been
28:21top notch I think
28:22that's his eighth
28:23goal in 13 games
28:24someone said earlier
28:25it's his first away
28:25goal in the
28:26Premiership for
28:27Falkirk.
28:27Really?
28:28Aberdeen will be
28:28disappointed how they
28:29defend it the ball
28:30travels a long way
28:31I think Gavin
28:31Malloy gets himself
28:32caught under the
28:32ball but when you're
28:33up against a striker
28:34who's in fine form
28:35and there's a love
28:36in life at this
28:36moment in time
28:37he's a real
28:38poacher.
28:39You talk about
28:40centre forwards
28:40he's got a great
28:41profile one he's
28:42only 21 years of
28:43age great athleticism
28:45wonderful work rate
28:46attitude towards the
28:47game but what he
28:48does Tom he puts
28:49himself between the
28:50goals and he goes
28:51searching out
28:52opportunities and
28:53chances that are
28:53coming as well.
28:54He is always in the
28:55right place.
28:55He is and that's
28:56not by luck that's
28:58by instinct you know
28:59as a centre forward
28:59you see it here
29:00the number of goals
29:01he taps in and
29:02people say do you
29:03know what he's
29:03lucky he's not
29:04he's watching the
29:05build up play he's
29:06always alert he's
29:06always on the move
29:07look at this little
29:07pullback just waiting
29:08for the ball to come
29:09to him he can't
29:10always be in the
29:11right place by luck
29:12it's something he
29:13sees and it's not
29:14something when coach
29:14players often you can
29:16try and encourage him
29:16to go into those
29:17areas but he just has
29:18that knack of being
29:19there he will go in
29:20the summer I think
29:21for a lot of money
29:21there will be big
29:22interest.
29:23How far away is he
29:23from Steve Clarke's
29:26Scotland squad do you
29:26think?
29:26That might be just a
29:27little bit premature
29:28he's 21 years of
29:30age he's played
29:31what 14 games 13
29:32games or 12 games
29:33in the premiership
29:34yes he's got
29:34himself some goals
29:35there's probably
29:36other people ahead
29:36of him but if
29:37you're wanting
29:37someone raw
29:38unpredictable who's
29:40got a goal in
29:40them and you're
29:41Scotland manager
29:42absolutely have a
29:43look at him but
29:44whether he goes to
29:44the World Cup or
29:45not I'm not so
29:45sure.
29:46Stephen Robinson
29:46obviously joining
29:47on Thursday there
29:48were you surprised
29:49to see him leave
29:51and go to Aberdeen
29:53after how long it's
29:54taken Aberdeen in
29:55terms of tilling
29:56left in January
29:57do you think that
29:58the Doverman was
29:59the kind of defeat
30:00was the kind of
30:01strong?
30:02That was the final
30:03deal they needed
30:03to do something I
30:04think the profile of
30:05manager they were
30:05hoping to get in
30:06January was different
30:07than what they were
30:08looking for in March
30:08January they were
30:09probably in a better
30:10position pushing top
30:11six still in the
30:12Scottish Cup think
30:13right we can get
30:13someone in with a
30:14bit of flair we can
30:14spend a bit of money
30:15but you know and now
30:16two months down the
30:17line we need someone
30:18who can come in and
30:19firefight and who can
30:20look after a team
30:20can set a team up be
30:21hard to play against
30:22we're too soft we're
30:23fragile we lack
30:24leadership at times
30:25and that doesn't
30:26mean shouting at
30:27people it's just
30:27people taking a
30:28little bit of
30:28responsibility and
30:29presence probably
30:30lack a little bit so
30:31they needed someone
30:31in who could jail
30:32out all that
30:33together and be a
30:34really difficult team
30:34to play against and
30:35I think Stephen
30:35ticks a lot of
30:36boxes I think he
30:37probably ticked the
30:37boxes in January
30:38yeah but they
30:39maybe thought they
30:39would go down a
30:40different route so
30:40first of all I'm
30:41delighted he's got
30:42the job he's a
30:42good friend first and
30:43foremost but he's a
30:43very good coach you
30:44speak to anybody who
30:45works with him they
30:45always say he's a
30:46good coach good
30:47detail good message
30:48very precise and he
30:50gets through to
30:50players so hopefully
30:51that's true
30:53okay with Hibs
30:54losing with
30:55Motherwell losing
30:56Hibs have one eye
30:57on fourth place
30:57today they welcome
30:58bottom club
30:59Larry to Easter
30:59Road
31:01Hibs still have
31:02their eyes on a
31:02fourth place finish
31:04seven points behind
31:05Motherwell going
31:06into this one but
31:07only one defeat in
31:08their last six games
31:09as David Gray is
31:10still looking up the
31:11table
31:13Livingston can only
31:14look up from where
31:15they are in the
31:16Premiership
31:16seven points adrift
31:18at the bottom and
31:19only nine games to
31:20go Ante Schuto has
31:22certainly earned his
31:23first start for Hibs
31:25after three goals and
31:26an assist in five
31:27appearances off the
31:28bench Dane Scarlett
31:30drops out of their
31:30starting line-up that's
31:32the only change to the
31:33team which drew at
31:34Dundee two weeks ago
31:35Marvin Bartley makes
31:37five changes to the
31:38Livingston team which
31:40drew with St Mirren a
31:41fortnight back
31:42Kerr, Montagno,
31:44Sela, May and
31:44Nubli all start
31:46McGowan, Danso,
31:48Fatih, Smith and
31:49Muirhead are all
31:50left out
31:54down the line from
31:55Stevie May
31:57Joel Nubli
32:02quality
32:03it's Stevie May and
32:04it's a good hit and
32:05it's fumbled by
32:07Salinger and he
32:08needed help
32:10and he got it from
32:11Rocky Bashiri
32:13Winston will be
32:14disappointed that they
32:15weren't quicker to
32:16react here maybe
32:18expecting the goalkeeper
32:20to hold on to that
32:24going on to that
32:26and Hilding
32:27Jimmy McGrath
32:34Miredale finding
32:35McGrath again and
32:37Kat Von Gollum
32:38blocks the cross
32:40sends the ball behind
32:43for the first corner
32:44kick of the match
32:51Borussia with the
32:52cross pole in
32:53it's a miscue on the
32:55header
32:57snapshot on the turn
32:58from an angle
33:02comfortably saved
33:09Ebbs looking for a
33:11breakthrough midway
33:11through the first half
33:13Nicky Carden gets the
33:15ball back
33:15low to the edge of the
33:17area
33:17and it's McGraw
33:18second attempt
33:19rattling back off
33:21the crossbar
33:23off the training
33:24ground
33:25that one
33:27and it was almost
33:28perfect
33:31Mibs feeling that
33:33they're really
33:34beginning to
33:35bang on the
33:36door now
33:38as they look to
33:39get themselves
33:40in front
33:42McGrath couldn't
33:43have been much
33:45closer without
33:45scoring
33:48Cadden's
33:49crossing
33:49the flashing
33:50header
33:50from Owen
33:51Elding
33:52goes wide
33:53well it's
33:54been a good
33:54couple of
33:55minutes for
33:55him
33:56so you've
33:56had to
33:56be
33:56patient
33:57here
33:59hitting
33:59the crossbar
34:00through
34:00McGraw
34:01and then
34:02it's
34:02Elding
34:03feeling
34:04he should
34:04have
34:04hit the
34:05target
34:06with
34:07that
34:07near
34:07post
34:08header
34:11and
34:12it comes
34:12from
34:13Nicky
34:13Carden
34:13big
34:14chance
34:14again
34:16Warren
34:17Ohora
34:18this time
34:20and you
34:21can tell
34:22from his
34:23reaction
34:23he reckons
34:24he should
34:25have been
34:25scoring
34:25here
34:27from about
34:28six or
34:28seven yards
34:29out
34:37those long legs
34:38of Nubli getting
34:39Livingston up to
34:40halfway at least
34:44good footwork but he's given it away
34:48overdoing it
34:49and now McGrath looks to set something up for Schuto
34:56couldn't get enough power behind the shot here the Croatian it was a good covering challenge by Danny Wilson
35:05Nicky Carden
35:09gets it back and there's a swing and a miss Paslak lays it off deflection on the shot from Jamie
35:17McGrath and almost sneaked in past Jérôme Priot
35:22he's managed to get just enough on this on the goal line to stop it going past him
35:30Bartley would be delighted if his team could get to half time goalless Danny Wilson
35:38switches it across for Christian Montagno
35:42cuts inside away from Paslak
35:44back with Nubli
35:46good hit
35:47padded away
35:48by Salinger
35:49well that would have been some sucker punch
35:53had that gone in for Livingston
35:57who'd barely been up the pitch in this first half
36:06Irondale
36:07can run with the ball here
36:11out wide
36:12Cadden
36:13picks out McGrath
36:15and for a second time it's back off the frame of the goal
36:20well Jamie McGrath will be wondering if this is just not his day
36:25having smacked the ball against the crossbar first half
36:28he's opened up his body and tried to curl this in
36:32for a breakthrough goal for Hibbs
36:34and this time back off the post
36:38Hibbs making changes
36:40maybe it's this man they need
36:43Boyle on for his 399th Hibbs appearance
36:48after confirmation that he will leave the club in the summer
36:55Campbell
36:59McGrath
37:00Josh Campbell again
37:02and again Campbell and Golo
37:04well positioned
37:05Nicky Gantt's crossbar
37:07coming away from the goalkeeper
37:12Felix Paslak who came flying in
37:16to get on the end of this
37:29just took too long Josh Campbell to make up his mind
37:33and here go Livy on the counter with Lewis Smith
37:35and Robbie Muirhead
37:37two off the bench
37:40it's Muirhead
37:41great effort
37:45lots of bend and whip on that
37:48and it just needed to come back a little bit more
37:54and Salinger could have been caught out
38:01Mahora tries again
38:04and he finds Nicky Cadden
38:06in on the half volley
38:07fumbled by the goalkeeper
38:09after making the save to deny
38:12Dane Scarlett
38:14and Hibbs unable to force that in
38:17at the second attempt
38:18it was Josh Campbell
38:19it's a great ball in from Cadden
38:22Scarlett's effort
38:24not held by the goalkeeper
38:25and it popped up
38:27for Josh Campbell
38:29who puts it over the top
38:30big chance
38:36some Hibbs fans
38:37departing
38:38already
38:41fearing that this day is not going to get any better
38:43could Martin Boyle do something about that
38:45he's racing away
38:47but sadly for him
38:50Mo Sila
38:51was coming back at him
38:54well Sila convinced he's got the ball here
38:58and Lloyd Wilson the referee is pointing to the penalty spot
39:06well he's got the ball
39:08Sila clearly
39:10and that will surely be confirmed by this trip to the monitor
39:13this is a penalty decision
39:16which surely is about to be reversed
39:25the yellow card will be cancelled
39:27the penalty will be cancelled
39:31and Lloyd Wilson gets there in the end
39:35I'll be honest
39:35I was rubbing my eyes
39:36because I think the referee is the only one
39:38who saw that as a penalty kick
39:39and I couldn't actually believe it
39:40when it was given
39:42but thankfully in the top flight
39:43we do have VAR
39:44because it cleans up those kind of mistakes
39:46but if you're in a different division
39:48and that penalty is given
39:49and obviously it stands
39:50that's a massive mistake by Lloyd
39:52it wasn't a penalty
39:53clearly not
39:53and obviously Lloyd's
39:54seen the ball move to the side
39:56and probably thought that
39:56maybe Boyle got in front of him
39:58it's difficult for referees
39:59when Boyle's moving at some speed
40:01to two of them
40:01and moving at some speed
40:02and it is that last ditch
40:04in front of the goal
40:05where defenders need to get it spot on
40:07and on this occasion he did
40:08we needed that goal
40:09to open the game up
40:09if we had got the goal
40:10the game would completely change
40:13and as I said
40:14we created enough chances
40:15to win two games
40:15we weren't clinical enough
40:16that's why we've not came away
40:17with three points today
40:19and it feels like a chance
40:20an opportunity missed
40:21because we want to win our home games
40:23but what it does do
40:24is I've just said to the players
40:25they've got no right to turn up
40:25and win any games
40:28Livvy's first clean sheet
40:29in six months
40:30earns them a point
40:31at Easter Road today
40:33as David said
40:34their hips had
40:35a number of chances
40:37today
40:37to win the game
40:38but
40:39just didn't take them
40:40it's just sometimes
40:42Tom when you're watching the game
40:43or you've played in the game
40:44and you think
40:44this team isn't going to score
40:46irrespective of what they do
40:47you know
40:48they're putting in dangerous balls
40:49across the face
40:50it's a wonderful cross
40:51from Nicky Cadden
40:52if there's ever such a thing
40:52as too good a cross
40:53that's possibly it
40:54Jamie McGrath
40:55was probably the most unlucky player
40:56on the pitch
40:57you know
40:58he gets a little bit of a
40:59ricochet there
41:00falling into his path
41:00smashes off the crossbar
41:02and the more this happens
41:04the more Livingston
41:05grow in a little bit of belief
41:06that they're not going to concede
41:07and the more
41:08Hibbs think
41:09well we're probably not going to score
41:10so that's how the game
41:11ended up panning out
41:11but the big moments
41:12you've got to say
41:13Hibbs stuck at it
41:14they didn't give up
41:15at any stage
41:16they kept trying to force the issue
41:17they were throwing men forward
41:18they tried to mix up the tactics
41:19they tried to change
41:21the shape of the team
41:22Jamie McGrath again
41:23hitting the post this
41:24then hit the crossbar
41:25in the first half
41:26it was a very frustrating day
41:28yeah
41:2821 shots
41:29yeah
41:29in particular
41:30I think there's only 5 on target
41:31that's not the issue
41:32they're looking at
41:32this is the biggest one
41:33this is the one
41:34Josh Campbell will be thinking
41:35how did I not put her in
41:36and Prior was so good
41:38throughout the game
41:38that's the one moment
41:39he had a little lapse
41:40in concentration
41:41he got caught in between
41:41trying to catch it
41:42and trying to palm it out
41:43done nothing in the end
41:44and really
41:45Josh Campbell should have put that
41:46in the back of the game
41:46it should have been 1-0
41:47I mean Hibbs
41:48they're waiting Motherwell next
41:50if they win that
41:50they go just 3 points
41:52behind Motherwell
41:53in this kind of race
41:53for 4th place
41:54but it's also with Motherwell losing today
41:56they're probably thinking
41:56if we could have beat Livingston
41:57at home bottom of the table
41:58that's the second time
41:59they've put Livingston this season
42:00and only got 1 point
42:01I think they went to
42:02Almond Vale earlier in the season
42:03and drew 2-2 it was
42:04so you're thinking
42:05points drop
42:06but still in their own hands
42:07go to Motherwell next week
42:08I think that's going to be
42:09a cracking game
42:09it is indeed
42:10Livvy I mentioned
42:11the first clean sheet
42:12it's in September the 13th
42:15it'll give them
42:16a massive confidence boost
42:17this
42:17but what they actually need
42:18is 3 points
42:20there's no doubt
42:20since Marvin came in
42:21there's been a real uplift
42:22in performance
42:22I think that's 4 draws in a row
42:24in the game
42:24prior to that run of draws starting
42:26they lost to Celtic Park
42:27with a really really late goal
42:28so they've certainly got good spirit
42:30you can't question that
42:31you've got to say
42:32they've stuck to their task
42:34they've earned their clean sheet
42:35put it that way
42:36because they've been on the back foot
42:37for a long period in the game
42:38and they deserve a little bit
42:39of luck tomorrow
42:39because they've been in the wrong end
42:40of so many poor decisions
42:42in open play
42:43and via interventions
42:44but also the number of late goals
42:45they've conceded
42:45the number of goals
42:46they've conceded
42:47the manner of goals
42:47they've conceded
42:48has been the real Achilles heel
42:50throughout the season
42:51they haven't really given themselves
42:52a chance at any stage
42:53and just the dynamics
42:54of the game
42:55they thought they were going to
42:55go away with the draw
42:56and then suddenly
42:58the referee Lloyd Wilson
42:59gave us a penalty kick
43:00and both managers
43:01summed it up perfectly well
43:02it's another very good intervention
43:04by VAR
43:05because I think the referee
43:07should get this right
43:07there's the referee's position
43:08the ball clearly changes direction
43:10Martin Boyle is not going to
43:11take a touch
43:12into that area of the pitch
43:13the defender's clearly
43:14going to get a touch on it
43:15so thankfully
43:16VAR intervened
43:17and pulled the referee
43:18out of a hole
43:18and I think
43:19at the end of the day
43:20because of Levy's work rate
43:22and their energy
43:22and their design
43:23and their resilience
43:24they deserved a clean sheet
43:25yeah they certainly didn't
43:26it will give them
43:27a bit of a boost
43:28both Kilmarnock and Hearts
43:30need to win
43:30for very different reasons
43:32they met just a wee while ago
43:33at Rugby Park
43:35Hearts have been busy
43:36keeping their dream alive
43:37while it's been a nightmare season
43:39overall for Kilmarnock
43:40but they can still avoid
43:42a play-off or worse
43:43should they find a way
43:44to stop shipping goals
43:4517 in their last
43:46five league outings
43:48Hearts drop two points
43:49when these sides
43:50grace Tynecastle in December
43:51a late Bruce Anderson
43:53equaliser
43:53a rare bright spot
43:55on the road for Kilmarnock
43:58Kilmarnock had taken
43:59four points in three games
44:00before being thumped
44:015-1 at Falkirk
44:02no Ethan Brown
44:03or Brad Lyons
44:04in the matchday squad
44:05Dom Thompson
44:06and Bruce Anderson
44:07drop onto the bench
44:08the stars for Jamie Brandon
44:10his first since October
44:11George Stanger
44:12Liam Polworth
44:13and Aaron Tishbola
44:14Hearts are back
44:16on their travels
44:16after back-to-back
44:171-0 wins
44:18at home
44:18against Falkirk
44:19and Aberdeen
44:20Derek McInneson
44:21trusts this game
44:22to the 11
44:23who started
44:23against Aberdeen
44:24Claudio Braga
44:25who scored twice
44:26here in October
44:27is a clear threat
44:28tonight
44:37Polworth
44:39there's the opportunity
44:41to square it
44:42Hearts having
44:43cleared the danger
44:45Magnussen
44:46goes up
44:47taken down
44:48well
44:48and the post
44:49is struck
44:49Finlay Curtis
44:50with the shot
44:52Kilmarnock
44:53being more than happy
44:53with the way he started
44:54brought it down
44:56beautifully
44:58cracked off
44:58Magnussen
44:59who had the body
45:00tucked right in
45:02goalkeeper relieved
45:03to see that
45:04hit the woodwork
45:06there's a remarkable record
45:08against Kilmarnock
45:10he's unbeaten
45:11in his last 13
45:12against him
45:15here we go
45:19Curtis on the inside
45:21lovely little step
45:23again
45:23it's a dangerous ball
45:24chance to the back post
45:28Watson was in great position
45:33well David Watson
45:34no goals in his last 20 games
45:37he started the season scoring well
45:39chance presented to him
45:41he had to move quickly to the side
45:47hearts pull that out
45:49why
45:49Kizaridis for the first time
45:50from that right hand side
45:52drifting in
45:54Kizaridis
45:54through to Braga
45:56Braga gets away
45:57stumbles
46:00and Braga realised
46:01there was no
46:02suggestion
46:03of a foul there
46:05Magnussen
46:11well tell you what
46:13from that angle
46:14if he'd gone down
46:15there was a question
46:20well he used to play
46:21for hearts
46:22but absolutely
46:23trying to find a way
46:25to get three points
46:25against them tonight
46:26as Neil McCann
46:38he's being allowed to run
46:42Achille looking to create
46:43through Watson
46:45Kiltie
46:46decent ball
46:46and this should be 1-0
46:47it is
46:51covered by nobody
46:52at all
46:54what a moment
46:55for Michael
46:56Larson
46:57his first
46:58Kilmarno goal
47:01and the Estonian
47:03internationalist
47:04had the freedom
47:05of rugby park
47:06to pop that in
47:10Steinwinder
47:11dropped his man
47:13that's an easy touch
47:18Kiltie is always dangerous
47:19looked up
47:20saw the Estonian
47:22from Michael
47:23and Michael
47:24Stoing
47:24and Larson
47:25tapped home
47:31doesn't look best
47:32pleased does he
47:36just a little bit short
47:37Spittle
47:38a great ball
47:39a great ball
47:40the Scholar
47:40dispossesses
47:44Kiltie that was a little short
47:46and now Spittle breaks
47:50Braga
47:51Braga
47:52great save
47:53from the goalkeeper
47:54Kisaridis
47:55almost got it to Kibori
47:58Cam defending
48:00and Steinwinder
48:02brings that to a halt
48:05well Hart's best chance
48:07of the game so far
48:08Kilmarnock
48:08dwelled in the midfield
48:09they dwelled too long
48:11and Claudio Braga
48:13immediately drove in
48:15found space
48:16that's a good save
48:22Spittle goes in again
48:25Braga
48:26push on Brandon
48:27felt Brandon was
48:28impeding him
48:30Magnussen wins it
48:32Kibori makes a run
48:33it's opening up
48:34for Magnussen
48:35Thomas Magnussen
48:40well Magnussen
48:41has never scored
48:42as a heart starter
48:44all three goals
48:45have come
48:46when he's come off
48:47the bench
48:48and they've been
48:48timely
48:50Kilmarnock
48:50with the opening goal
48:52just the tenth time
48:53in the Scottish
48:54Premiership this season
48:55and of those nine games
48:57they've won three
48:57drawn three
48:58and lost three
48:59what can they do here
49:01here you go
49:02good save
49:03Schwell
49:07well Kamarnock
49:08looking for a second
49:09and Hart's of the keeper
49:10to thank again
49:12there's the touch
49:13the turn
49:20McCart
49:20trying to bring it
49:21down
49:21away by
49:22Leonard
49:26McInte
49:284-4
49:28Curtis
49:30emerges
49:31that's a good effort
49:34well they had one thing
49:35on his mind
49:36and that was to test
49:37the goalkeeper
49:39and if there's any spill
49:40here
49:41Kelly are there
49:45McInte
49:46didn't do anything wrong
49:51McInte
49:52has to look up
49:54plays it behind
49:55Spittle
49:55when Kelly
49:56will come away
49:58Tishmola
49:59gets a second chance
50:05Curtis
50:06on the inside
50:08takes a deflection
50:09that might work
50:10here you go
50:13well it's going
50:13against Celtic
50:14in February
50:16looking at the net
50:17in March
50:18against the league
50:19leaders
50:24Hart's trying to find
50:25a way to break
50:25through this
50:26very well
50:27structured
50:28Kelly side
50:28here's Mel
50:29low end to the middle
50:31might come back
50:32to Mel
50:36well there's no
50:37takers from Hart's
50:38and Kelly managed
50:39to keep themselves
50:40out of the way
50:43Harry Mel
50:43got a second chance
50:45here
50:47I think both
50:48centre-halves
50:49will be pleased
50:49that they didn't
50:50get on the end
50:50of this one
50:57no way through
50:58for Mel
50:58they get a second
50:59chance though
51:00here's an opportunity
51:01for Hart's
51:02Mel
51:02sends it in
51:03keeper with a stop
51:04and that's a foul
51:09not been on long
51:10Tom Lowry
51:13painted a perfect picture
51:15of defending
51:16in the second option
51:18and he went there
51:20he caused the problem
51:21and he rescued the problem
51:24there's no way through
51:25Roos again
51:25and Braggert
51:27brought him down
51:34Kilmarnock break again
51:36answered the back foot
51:38here Kilmarnock could seal it
51:40Halkett
51:40that was right on the edge
51:42of the area
51:42and the colour of the cards
51:44is yellow
51:50well Craig Halkett realised
51:51there was a huge problem
51:53here
51:58contact outside the area
52:02Harts have had more
52:03possession
52:03they've had more shots
52:05but it's Killy
52:06have had more heart
52:07than Harts
52:13it's all over
52:14at Rugby Park
52:15it's delight for Neil McCann
52:16disappointment for Derek McInnes
52:19it's a wounding blow
52:20for Harts title challenge
52:22what a boost
52:23at the bottom
52:24for Kilmarnock
52:25but it's not been
52:27a good night
52:27for the men
52:28from Edinburgh
52:29a single goal
52:31decides it
52:31Larson lifts Killy
52:33it's finished
52:35Kilmarnock won
52:35Harts nil
52:39with everything tonight
52:40and by the way
52:41we could have scored
52:41a few more goals as well
52:42it wasn't just one chance
52:44we were very very brave tonight
52:46we were very very good
52:47in possession
52:48even towards the latter stages
52:50it would be easy
52:50for us just to smash it forward
52:51but we tried to stay composed
52:53and try to stay on it
52:55and sometimes that brings
52:56a wee bit of pressure
52:57but they stuck their chests out tonight
52:59and they fully deserve
53:01their victory
53:01we're disappointed
53:02with our efforts tonight
53:03not in terms of our effort
53:05but in terms of the quality
53:06of our play
53:07we have got to
53:08where we are in the league
53:10by showing a lot better
53:11to ourselves
53:12and I did say
53:13there'd be twists and turns
53:14but as I said to the players
53:16we've got a brilliant opportunity
53:17we still wake up tomorrow morning
53:19we're still top of the league
53:20we have eight games to go
53:20so it's important
53:22that we all recognise
53:23there's a challenge there
53:26and we pick ourselves up
53:27and we go again
53:28and we will do
53:28what for you causes
53:29a drop off
53:30like that?
53:31I don't know
53:32Kerryn to be honest
53:33I think there was
53:34I thought one or two
53:35looked a wee bit leggy
53:36and I thought one or two
53:37were way short
53:38of the quality
53:39they normally
53:39would show
53:40but the goal was
53:42you would be annoyed
53:43at that type of goal
53:44at any level
53:45and it gives them
53:47something to hang on
53:47and you've got to credit
53:48Kilmarnock for their own in
53:49they've fought and scrapped
53:51to get their three points
53:52and we didn't do
53:54anywhere near enough
53:56a brilliant performance
53:57from Kilmarnock
53:58and a massive three points
54:00for them
54:00Hearts lead at the top
54:01cut to just two points
54:02Stephen
54:02the Kelly goal
54:04the goal that won the game
54:05it was really well worked
54:07it was a good quality goal
54:08Derek talking about
54:08being angry with the defending
54:10but Kelly worked it well
54:12listen when a goal goes in
54:13somewhere there's always
54:13two ways of looking at it
54:14the team that scores a goal
54:15they look at what they've done well
54:16and Hearts will look at
54:17what they've done poorly
54:18but we'll look at Kilmarnock
54:19first and foremost
54:19because Robbie Dees
54:22someone has to engage
54:23someone has to go
54:23make contact with them
54:24but I think he's patient
54:25that's the good thing about him
54:26he's patient
54:27he's composed
54:27and then he's precise
54:28with his pass
54:29and it's a delightful ball
54:30in from Greg Kilty
54:32and Larson gets in
54:32at the back post
54:33so Kilmarnock are elated
54:34they think they've worked it well
54:35they've picked holes in Hearts
54:37have managed to play through
54:38and they've got a brilliant
54:39finish at the end
54:39but this is what Hearts
54:40have been so good at
54:41all season
54:42is stopping crosses
54:43defending well
54:44Steinwender has to see
54:45Larson's run
54:46he's the fullback
54:47he just allows him to jog past
54:48and I know
54:49people have been talking
54:50about Kisaridis
54:50his job isn't to be a fullback
54:52and tuck in beside a centre half
54:53the back four has to be together
54:55he's ball watching
54:56I don't know what he's looking at
54:57or why he's not even thinking
54:58of the danger
54:59it doesn't sense it at all
55:00and from a simple
55:01good cross into the box
55:02he shouldn't be getting a tap in
55:04from three yards unopposed
55:05no he was miles off
55:06should Claudio Braga have had a penalty
55:08he gets
55:09there's contact
55:10but he doesn't go down
55:12he's too honest
55:12stays on his feet
55:14or tries to stay on his feet
55:15but should that matter
55:16well
55:16I think in the referee's defence
55:18it's a subjective decision
55:21is the contact enough
55:22to put him down
55:23the fact that he jumps up
55:24and runs on
55:26probably makes the referee's mind up
55:28is there a clear
55:29and obvious error in that
55:30I'm not so sure
55:31that looks like a clear cut penalty
55:32as in contact on the ball
55:35that angle shows
55:36maybe there's not any kind of contact
55:37whether it's just
55:38a little bit of deception
55:39but it's such a subjective decision
55:42that I know VAR
55:43or the refereeing teams
55:44want the on-field decision
55:46if it's subjective
55:46they stay there
55:48clearly VAR didn't think
55:49it was a clear and obvious error
55:50so it plays on
55:50but if the penalty had been given
55:52on the flip side
55:53it would have stood
55:54but because the referee didn't give it
55:55they kept the subjective decision
55:56on the pitch
55:57loads of Comaric players
55:59were excellent tonight
56:00I thought Tishpola was outstanding
56:01but Fernie Curtis
56:02he had a big impact tonight
56:04and could be a big player
56:06for Comaric in this running
56:07for someone so young
56:08at 19 years of age
56:09Tom would have
56:10you know
56:10sure that
56:11nearly spoke about the bravery
56:12and we want young Scottish talent
56:14to be playing
56:14premiership football
56:15we want them to be playing
56:16top flight football
56:17so you make the national team better
56:18but you also
56:19make the league better in general
56:20yes he's a Rangers player
56:21going on loan
56:22but he was great
56:23he took the ball
56:24he wants to run at people
56:25he's inventive
56:26I think he's fearless
56:28everything about his game
56:29he's got a
56:30great right foot
56:31he's got a wonderful attitude
56:32towards the game
56:33you know how often have you seen
56:34players coming from the old firm
56:36and going out and loan
56:36and just kind of
56:37going through their motions
56:37and maybe not getting up to speed
56:39but he's grabbed the game
56:40to the scruff of the game
56:40David Watson should have headed that
56:41yeah he should have headed
56:42into the back of the net
56:43no doubt about it
56:44but you know
56:45I think his performance
56:45just summed up Comaric
56:46I think Comaric have been sitting
56:47for the last two weeks
56:49really annoyed and frustrated
56:50after that 5-1 defeat
56:51against Comaric
56:52sorry against Falkirk
56:53and it showed in their full performance
56:55they were energetic
56:55they didn't stop running
56:56the longer the game went
56:58there was spaces for them
56:59to go and exploit
56:59there's good running power
57:00you can see why
57:01Neil and Billy wanted to bring him in
57:02clearly how they want to play
57:04how they see the game
57:04he fits right into it for them
57:06yeah
57:07and as I said
57:08you know
57:08you could have picked a number
57:09of the Comaric players
57:10today
57:11the performance
57:12was excellent
57:13they move on to the same points
57:15St Mirren
57:15they now play Rangers tomorrow
57:17another big game
57:18but
57:18it's going to be some battle
57:20this at the bottom
57:21you know
57:22Livingston
57:22St Mirren
57:23and Comaric
57:24for the positions
57:25St Mirren and Aberdeen
57:26well you could drag
57:27you could drag teams above them
57:28St Mirren and Aberdeen are watching us tonight
57:28and thinking
57:29oh my goodness
57:29that's them even closer to us
57:30and you think
57:31we spoke about Comaric
57:32their previous five games to tonight
57:33they conceded 17 goals
57:35they've had two weeks to work on stuff
57:37attitude
57:38application
57:38that's all fine
57:39but the discipline of the team
57:40the organisation of the team
57:41the structure of the team
57:42and you go and get a clean sheet
57:43against the leading leaders
57:44massive boost for them
57:45and for Hearts
57:45it is a blow
57:47and as Derek says
57:48there will be twists and turns
57:49but there's not a lot of wiggle room now
57:51no there's not
57:52and I think the Hearts players
57:53have to make sure
57:54they don't get too disappointed
57:55and allow things to get away from them
57:56they've got a great opportunity still
57:58yeah
57:58okay
57:59right
57:59let's take a wee look
58:00at the table tonight
58:03Hearts top
58:04on
58:0663 points
58:06Celtic are just
58:07two behind
58:08on 61
58:09Motherwell
58:10they're in fourth
58:11on 53
58:12with Hibs
58:13six behind
58:14and fifth
58:15Fall Cup make up the top
58:16six
58:17Aberdeen on 30 points
58:18Kelly up to 24
58:19Libya a point
58:20better off
58:20on 15
58:21but they're still
58:22rock bottom
