00:00:41Good evening. When it all kicked off back in August, nobody would have predicted with three games to go.
00:00:46We'd be witnessing the most remarkable end to a season in decades.
00:00:52Five games tonight analysed by Scott Allen.
00:00:55And we start at Fir Park where visitors' hearts knew a win. We'd take them a step closer to immortality.
00:01:04Six points out of six since the split. Hearts are just three games away from being Scottish champions.
00:01:12So this is massive at Motherwell. 16 hours ahead of Celtic against Rangers.
00:01:18And the men in Maroon can move six points clear at the top of the Premiership.
00:01:23Motherwell want to hold on to fourth place and guarantee European football.
00:01:29Motherwell will miss the composure of injured Paul McGinn in defence.
00:01:33Liam Gordon is the replacement.
00:01:35Oscar Priestman takes over from Lucas Fadinger in the middle of the pitch.
00:01:40Ibrahim Saeed is preferred to Tom Sparrow.
00:01:44Blair Spittel is well worth a start for Hearts after his derby winner and a big contribution off the bench
00:01:50against Rangers.
00:01:51Islam Chesnikov misses out. Young Dutchman Jordi Altena gets the nod over Alex Kisiridis, although the Greek winger could still
00:02:00have his say off the bench.
00:02:07It's been such a fantastic season for the four-parkers.
00:02:12They want to be finishing with a flourish.
00:02:15They're certainly starting impressively.
00:02:18It's a great ball in from Just.
00:02:19And it's a flashing header that produces the first save of the match.
00:02:26Callum Slattery with an opportunity here to break the deadlock inside the opening 60 seconds.
00:02:37Big responsibility on Gordon, replacing Paul McGinn, who's been outstanding.
00:02:42Priestman caught on the ball.
00:02:45Shankland.
00:02:48Altena!
00:02:49Spilled!
00:02:50And what an opportunity for Shankland.
00:02:53He can't believe he's not put the ball in the back of the net.
00:02:56It's a brilliant block, but your money was on 1-0 Hearts here when the ball benched back off Callum
00:03:05Ward.
00:03:07And what a bit of defending this is from Stephen O'Donnell.
00:03:11A goal saver.
00:03:20What?
00:03:21Looks to play it in behind Formas Wanisi.
00:03:26The back heel, Paul Longolo.
00:03:28This looks promising.
00:03:31Very promising.
00:03:34Ibrahim Saeed has Motherwell in front.
00:03:39They were never here to make up the numbers.
00:03:43And they threatened to do serious damage to Hearts title hopes.
00:03:50Who's got the last touch on this?
00:03:52It was Saeed in the six-yard box for Motherwell.
00:03:57That did that take its last touch off Stephen Kingsley.
00:04:03Kingsley, a goal scorer for Hearts against Rangers last Monday.
00:04:09But it's won into his own net this time.
00:04:131-0 Motherwell.
00:04:16Thousands of Jambos hoping their team can turn this around.
00:04:24Halkett.
00:04:28Leonard.
00:04:30Probing again.
00:04:32Altena.
00:04:33Altena.
00:04:33Boningami.
00:04:36Kingsley's cross.
00:04:38Bjorn Shackland.
00:04:39It's a blistering hit.
00:04:41Shackland will score this time.
00:04:43It's 1-1.
00:04:44The Premiership leader is back on track.
00:04:48And they seem to love coming from a goal down.
00:04:51Did it against Hibbs.
00:04:52Did it against Rangers.
00:04:54Back on level terms.
00:04:56Up for Park.
00:04:58He missed one earlier.
00:04:59You would expect him to snap up.
00:05:02And he wasn't going to say no to this.
00:05:05The equaliser lashed in.
00:05:08By the Hearts captain.
00:05:11And they will hope the momentum is back with them.
00:05:17But it's proving quite a challenge at Fur Park.
00:05:27Longolo with the block.
00:05:29Priest with the header.
00:05:31Motherwell will stop that going behind for a corner kick.
00:05:35Well, that looks like a big shout for a penalty.
00:05:38You would have to wonder how that's not been given.
00:05:41It looks like a big escape for Longolo VAR.
00:05:45We'll have had a look at it, obviously.
00:05:47And thought not.
00:05:59Slattery with the driving run.
00:06:01Matsurenice here with the layoff.
00:06:02A swing and a miss.
00:06:04From Saeed.
00:06:06Stephen O'Donnell finds the back of the net.
00:06:08And looks across to see that offside flag.
00:06:15Matsurenice was onside.
00:06:16O'Donnell wasn't.
00:06:20A tight call.
00:06:21But O'Donnell was offside.
00:06:23After getting himself on the end of that miscue from Saeed.
00:06:28Now Welsh with the crossbowl.
00:06:30Stabbed away by Findlay.
00:06:35And lack of communication there with Frankie Kent just on the pitch.
00:06:40Could have left it.
00:06:41Should have left it.
00:06:42And he's given away a corner kick.
00:06:49Longolo gets it back from Watt.
00:06:52To the byline for Slattery.
00:06:54What can he do from here?
00:06:55The crossbowl in and the looping header is too high from O'Donnell.
00:07:11Headed away by Kingsley.
00:07:12Stolen by Spittle.
00:07:19It's not a Shackland.
00:07:21And there's a great bit of defending.
00:07:24Just as he was pulling the trigger.
00:07:26Liam Gordon sensing what was coming.
00:07:31Altona played it in.
00:07:37Deflection on the crossbowl.
00:07:39Into the gloves of Ward.
00:07:42Well, play is halted by Stephen McLean.
00:07:45So he can have a look at the monitor.
00:07:51About a possible penalty.
00:07:54Well, here's what they're looking at.
00:07:55The challenge on Kiziridis who hit the deck.
00:07:59It was Maswanese.
00:08:01Who looked as if he might have stamped on his right foot.
00:08:06It's decision time.
00:08:09No penalty.
00:08:20Frankie Kent launches it forward.
00:08:23Gaboury wins the header.
00:08:27Kept in by Spittle.
00:08:30And the Kiziridis header goes wide.
00:08:34And it's heads and hands all round.
00:08:36As Hawks realise how big a chance that was.
00:08:41Into the closing stages.
00:08:44Still 1-1.
00:08:45Kingsley's delivery.
00:08:48And finally into the gloves of Ward.
00:08:55A stumble.
00:08:58And Maswanese could be onto something here.
00:09:01He jinxed inside.
00:09:03He hits the deck.
00:09:05Big decision.
00:09:08Maswanese still screaming for a penalty.
00:09:10Inside he went.
00:09:12Beningami made the challenge.
00:09:14Was there a contact here on Motherwell's top goalscorer?
00:09:19Jens Berkelowski clearly has thought so.
00:09:22It's a painful night.
00:09:24If you're a Hearts fan.
00:09:27Full time at Freer Park.
00:09:29Is it a point closer to the title for Derek McInnes and Hearts?
00:09:34Or is it two points dropped?
00:09:38Hearts go four in front with Celtic to play Rangers tomorrow.
00:09:44Laurence Shankland with the equaliser late on in the first half.
00:09:49After Stephen Kingsley had put into his own goal to have Motherwell ahead in the game.
00:09:57Quite a night at Freer Park.
00:10:00Motherwell won.
00:10:01Hearts won.
00:10:04The tension could have split the air at Freer Park tonight.
00:10:07We've got loads to get through, Scott.
00:10:09So let's get started.
00:10:10The first goal came for Motherwell.
00:10:12Courtesy of a Kingsley OG.
00:10:14You spotted a couple of things wrong that Hearts did in the buildup.
00:10:17But it was good play for Motherwell.
00:10:18Yeah, it was.
00:10:19It was a little bit of a different tactic from Motherwell early on in the game.
00:10:22They looked to get beyond.
00:10:23There was a couple of chances for both sides early on.
00:10:25Lovely bit of invention there.
00:10:27They're back here inside.
00:10:28Listen, you look at that position.
00:10:30There's one Motherwell player in the box that shouldn't cause that much danger.
00:10:33Just a ball put in an area.
00:10:35And for me, from a Hearts point of view, if you're Derek McInnes watching back,
00:10:39it'd be very disappointing.
00:10:41No, they're all static and nobody's...
00:10:43Well, for me, Finlay doesn't check to check the run.
00:10:45I know Kingsley's with him and tries his best to follow him in,
00:10:48but they're all statuesque.
00:10:50Yeah, it's never a good sign.
00:10:51Not smelling the danger.
00:10:53And for me, Finlay's got to drop back.
00:10:55And then he just clears it away with his right foot.
00:10:56When he doesn't do that, Kingley's got to go all the way.
00:10:58I think he might be put off a little bit from the goalkeeper coming out
00:11:01and putting him off.
00:11:02And it wasn't the best of starts for Hearts.
00:11:04And in the first half, Hearts were struggling to create opportunities
00:11:08apart from the one at the very start for Shankland.
00:11:11And they were struggling in their build-up play.
00:11:13You thought it was a bit slow and predictable at times, a bit safe.
00:11:17It was.
00:11:17I can understand with the pressure of the game,
00:11:19so much riding on it, going for a lead title.
00:11:22But at the same time, you have to be brave.
00:11:23You have to want to take the ball.
00:11:24I just felt at times, a bit of hesitation.
00:11:28It should have been into Shankland there.
00:11:29A little pop-off on the other side.
00:11:30This one for me, Beningame.
00:11:32If Beningame's five yards wider than him, he takes the ball on his back foot.
00:11:36And he's then at the other side of the midfield.
00:11:39And it just didn't happen enough for me in the game.
00:11:41Here, if you step in, at least make someone come out and have to engage you.
00:11:44And then you maybe find the pass wide.
00:11:46He kind of half wants to do it and then stops, doesn't he?
00:11:49Yeah, but I understand with the pressure.
00:11:51But at the same time, you have to be brave.
00:11:53And there were so many opportunities where they could have played forward a lot quicker.
00:11:56And it would have pulled the mother of the team about a lot more than it did.
00:11:59They were in a 5-3-2 out of possession.
00:12:01So I understand that it is difficult at times trying to move them.
00:12:03But you make it even more difficult for yourself if you're not moving the ball at speed.
00:12:06And the movement in front of the ball, there has to be rotations.
00:12:09There has to be a guy really demanding the ball.
00:12:10This one here, again, Beningame, that should just be into him on the back foot.
00:12:13Body shape, not really demanding the ball.
00:12:16And that was just something that I'd seen in the first half.
00:12:17I was finding it quite frustrating to watch because in these sort of games,
00:12:21you need guys to really step up and want to demand the ball to create for you.
00:12:24And I think Derek McKinnis watching it back while he tweaked some things in the second half would have seen
00:12:28that.
00:12:28Yeah, maybe just a lack of risk from him.
00:12:30But they did come good towards the end of the first half, obviously Shanklin getting the goal.
00:12:34And this is one of the only instances when they did actually make that forward pass.
00:12:38Yeah, and it comes to Leonard just realising there's space to drive into.
00:12:42As soon as you do that, you then come out of Motherwell player.
00:12:44Nice bit of a link up play ball, works its way wide.
00:12:46And then it's just, you're higher in the model half.
00:12:49You've got bodies in the box first and foremost.
00:12:52Decent strike, isn't it?
00:12:53And then Shanklin just instinctive, lovely finishing.
00:12:55And that would have been made up for that chance he missed early on in the game.
00:12:58I mean, he makes that look easier than it is because it comes to him really quickly.
00:13:02And he's not got a lot of time to react and get the touch away and the finish away.
00:13:06But, you know, he's a man on form.
00:13:07He's a man on form and I just think that's instinctive.
00:13:09I think for me, they're the sort of chances that you've seen Lawrence Shanklin always tuck away
00:13:13and happily obliged with that one again.
00:13:15But that was a great time for Hearts going into the second half.
00:13:18It was.
00:13:18In the second half, you've got to say that Hearts, you know, changed things a wee bit
00:13:22and were the more forceful team and they threw pretty much everything at Motherwell
00:13:27to try and get back into the game.
00:13:30Some big moments in the game to look at now.
00:13:32Three penalty claims, two for Hearts, one for Motherwell.
00:13:35Let's take a look at them and you can tell us what you think.
00:13:40Initially when I seen this, it wasn't until we seen the Hearts players' reaction
00:13:43and then we seen it back on the replay and I'm thinking that's going to be given.
00:13:47But what actually happened after this was it was a long spell with the ball was still in place
00:13:50so nobody ever got a chance to check it.
00:13:53But for me, I think it was a penalty.
00:13:54This one is clear as day for me.
00:13:57We've both played football, you know, when someone comes across you.
00:13:59It's a stamp down from Mas Winesi on Kiziridis
00:14:03and it's a penalty all day of the week for me.
00:14:05That's the reaction, we've all been there.
00:14:06Well, Mas Winesi doesn't mean it, but I know you can put his hands up
00:14:10as if to say I'm not guilty.
00:14:11And then, as you rightly point out, when Kiziridis does get his foot stamped on,
00:14:15the first thing you do when somebody stands on your foot
00:14:17is you jump up near shouting,
00:14:19and it's certainly what happens.
00:14:20And Stephen McLean was taken to the monitor
00:14:22and obviously then decided that he didn't think it was.
00:14:24What about this one?
00:14:25I think it's fantastic footwork initially from Mas Winesi,
00:14:28but I didn't think there was enough contact in that one.
00:14:31I think he's looking to make contact with Beningamy.
00:14:35Not for me.
00:14:35And as soon as you've seen the other ones that hadn't been given,
00:14:37I wasn't expecting.
00:14:38And going back to the previous one,
00:14:42the one that I think you felt was a stonewaller,
00:14:45but the fact that Stephen McLean was taken to the monitor by VAR
00:14:49suggests that they possibly felt it was a penalty.
00:14:52Can you see why he would have made the decision that it wasn't?
00:14:56Not for me.
00:14:57I'm really struggling to see how he's came to that decision.
00:15:00I think it's as clear as this.
00:15:01He steps down on Kiziridis' foot.
00:15:05At the same time, it's slowed down,
00:15:06but it's a penalty.
00:15:08There's no going to be fit.
00:15:08And the problem with that is it could have an outcome
00:15:11in where the title comes from.
00:15:12Well, it could.
00:15:12Hearts now four ahead of Celtic.
00:15:14They play Rangers tomorrow.
00:15:15Obviously could cut the gap if they win to one point.
00:15:19You know, are we looking at a situation here
00:15:21where we're going into the final day?
00:15:23We always thought it was going to be close,
00:15:24but is it going to come down to that game
00:15:26down at Celtic Park on the final day?
00:15:29I think it's looking that way.
00:15:30But at the same time, I think Falkirk at home for Hearts
00:15:33is a game where they think they'll be able to go and win.
00:15:35And we see Murrow as a team we've spoke about all season.
00:15:39They'll be looking at it again
00:15:40that they can go and pick up something against Celtic.
00:15:42We saw what happened the last time that Celtic were at
00:15:44Fir Park.
00:15:45And Motherwell, their home record this season,
00:15:47Motherwell, has been outstanding.
00:15:49They are capable of beating anybody at Fir Park.
00:15:52So that's a game that obviously is not a given for Celtic.
00:15:56But first of all, they've got the game tomorrow.
00:15:58How do you see tomorrow going?
00:16:00Very hard to call.
00:16:01I think if you look at the games that they've played
00:16:02against each other all season, very hard.
00:16:04They've played in spells, both teams.
00:16:06But there's just so much riding on it,
00:16:07especially for Celtic tomorrow.
00:16:08I think they know.
00:16:09I think they'll see that tonight.
00:16:10They'll see this as a chance where they can get really close
00:16:12to Hearts, a point behind getting into Wednesday.
00:16:15I think Celtic Park will be so lively tomorrow.
00:16:17It will be neither team have been playing particularly well.
00:16:20They'll go into the game.
00:16:21But Celtic seem to have found an edge or a way of winning.
00:16:24They can have marked the new way it's been since they returned.
00:16:27Not playing as well as they can,
00:16:28but finding a way to go and win the game and get the three points.
00:16:31Yeah, I think as a football player,
00:16:35you look at it and you want performance.
00:16:36But when you're going for titles at the end of the season,
00:16:38it's just all about winning the game, getting three points.
00:16:40What Celtic have had in abundance the last few guys
00:16:43coming off the bench and influencing games.
00:16:46OK, well, we'll bring you a reaction from the managers later.
00:16:49So it was all on the line today in Paisley
00:16:52as St Mirren and Kilmarnock look to avoid
00:16:54the relegation playoff plays.
00:16:58Potentially pivotal afternoon.
00:17:01This crucial game at the foot of the table.
00:17:03As St Mirren aim to move back above Kilmarnock.
00:17:07The game's rapidly running out for both
00:17:09to save themselves from the jeopardy of the playoff.
00:17:14St Mirren have made three changes from last time out.
00:17:17Marcus Fraser, Liam Donnelly and Connor McMenamin
00:17:21all come back in.
00:17:22Richardson, King and Tanzer on the bench.
00:17:25Just the one change for Kilmarnock
00:17:28as Dom Thompson comes back into the starting 11.
00:17:31A slight reshuffle with Bruce Anderson
00:17:33dropping to the bench.
00:17:39Pretty even start to the contest
00:17:41as Dees feeds it forward.
00:17:44There's a claim for handball there
00:17:46against Kilty, but
00:17:48the play goes on.
00:17:53Kilmarnock has such a good record
00:17:55against St Mirren.
00:17:56Just one defeat in their last 14
00:17:59in the top flight.
00:18:01Shonin Larsson
00:18:02out to Finlay Curtis
00:18:04who's started the game on the right flank.
00:18:07Back into Shibola.
00:18:11Thompson
00:18:12to Lowry.
00:18:14Up against Ohara.
00:18:15Finds himself a yards, a teasing ball in.
00:18:18And it's in.
00:18:20The opening goal
00:18:21for the visitors.
00:18:24Early on,
00:18:25elation
00:18:27in the away dugout.
00:18:30And indeed
00:18:31among the visiting supporters
00:18:33and no wonder
00:18:34St Mirren protection
00:18:36there was a handball
00:18:37on the builder.
00:18:43Joy could be short-lived.
00:18:48The checks on going
00:18:50was
00:18:51very early in the move.
00:18:55We are taking a look at it
00:18:57on Freckleton's own goal
00:18:59under pressure here.
00:19:01at the back post
00:19:02from Hugel.
00:19:10And the goal's being given.
00:19:13It's a winning behind.
00:19:14What a great start
00:19:15for Kilmarnock
00:19:16looking to improve
00:19:17their dreadful away record.
00:19:20Just one win
00:19:21on the road this season.
00:19:24here's Tanza
00:19:25early substitute.
00:19:27Srijek
00:19:28decent distance on that.
00:19:31Robertson
00:19:32getting in the way
00:19:32of the Do-Woo there.
00:19:35Don't do him any favours
00:19:37as Tanza feeds it back in.
00:19:40So we're looking
00:19:41for a leveller.
00:19:45Kamanka got it clear though.
00:19:49Kilty.
00:19:50And now Hugel.
00:19:52Donnelly trying to get
00:19:52back with him.
00:19:54It's forced him wide.
00:19:55Still the chance
00:19:56might be on
00:19:57as Kilty finds Lowry.
00:19:59And a good stop
00:20:00from Sinclair.
00:20:01Needed to make that save.
00:20:06Northside flag's
00:20:07actually up
00:20:08in the end.
00:20:11That's a promising
00:20:13counter this
00:20:14from Kilty.
00:20:18Frickleton for
00:20:19Campbell.
00:20:21Now Tanza.
00:20:23Digs a cross out.
00:20:25It's a good ball.
00:20:25Ohara arriving
00:20:26and Srijek
00:20:28with a crucial stop.
00:20:33Well that was a big moment
00:20:35you feel
00:20:35just before half time.
00:20:37Ohara
00:20:37hits the target
00:20:39on either side
00:20:41the strike
00:20:41and that's a goal.
00:20:48A couple of changes
00:20:50for the home side
00:20:52at the interval
00:20:53as they try to
00:20:56improve their situation.
00:20:57Kamanka also
00:20:58with a change
00:20:58with Watson
00:20:59coming on.
00:21:05they've lost
00:21:06their last
00:21:06four matches
00:21:07including that
00:21:08Scottish Cup
00:21:09semi-final.
00:21:11It makes
00:21:12pretty neat points.
00:21:15Thompson with the
00:21:16throw in.
00:21:17Laid off for Kilty.
00:21:19That's going to fall
00:21:19for Curtis
00:21:20who tucks it home.
00:21:24A composed finish
00:21:26from the youngster.
00:21:28and what a start
00:21:30to the second half.
00:21:37Kilmarnock struck
00:21:38early in the first
00:21:39period
00:21:39but that one
00:21:41was within
00:21:4230 seconds
00:21:44of the restart.
00:21:48St Mirren
00:21:48just caught napping.
00:21:53Really cool finish
00:21:54from the on loan.
00:21:57Winger.
00:22:04Finlay Curtis
00:22:06doubles Kilmarnock's
00:22:08advantage.
00:22:13It's a long way
00:22:14back you feel
00:22:15for St Mirren
00:22:16who's struggled
00:22:16for goals this
00:22:17season.
00:22:19Here's the
00:22:20doorway though.
00:22:21They get one
00:22:22back now
00:22:22just never know.
00:22:24There's Phillips
00:22:24there's a chance.
00:22:29I'm not sure
00:22:30what he's claiming
00:22:31for whether it's
00:22:31a corner or
00:22:32a penalty.
00:22:33I don't think
00:22:33he's going to get
00:22:34either.
00:22:39Nothing is really
00:22:40falling St Mirren's
00:22:41way right now.
00:22:47too many openings like
00:22:48that.
00:22:52Corner
00:22:54floated in away
00:22:54by Mandron.
00:22:56That's going to come
00:22:57for Shibala.
00:22:58It's only about
00:22:59half a yard
00:23:00over the top.
00:23:02Well struck
00:23:03from the midfielder.
00:23:06just too much
00:23:07elevation on it.
00:23:15Just too slack
00:23:16in possession.
00:23:18Here come Kilmarnock
00:23:20again looking
00:23:20to kill them off.
00:23:23Livery
00:23:23manages to poke
00:23:25it to Curtis
00:23:26once more.
00:23:27Oh it's almost
00:23:28a carbon copy.
00:23:30But I think
00:23:31that one's even
00:23:32better.
00:23:34a double
00:23:35for Finlay
00:23:35Curtis
00:23:38to surely
00:23:39seal the victory
00:23:40for Kilmarnock.
00:23:42Just a second
00:23:43away win
00:23:43of the season.
00:23:46And how precious
00:23:47could that be?
00:23:52The young man
00:23:53on loan
00:23:53from Rangers
00:23:55has been
00:23:56a terrific
00:23:56acquisition
00:23:57for this
00:23:58killy side.
00:23:59Look at the
00:24:00finish there.
00:24:02knew exactly
00:24:03when he was
00:24:03going to place
00:24:04it.
00:24:06An unerring
00:24:08finish.
00:24:11Curtis
00:24:12doubles his
00:24:14killy
00:24:15tally
00:24:15in the space
00:24:16of an afternoon.
00:24:20Richardson
00:24:22way by Dees.
00:24:27Kelly looking
00:24:27to pick
00:24:28some
00:24:28in and off
00:24:28on the
00:24:29counter
00:24:29once more.
00:24:30Bruce
00:24:31Anderson
00:24:33slips it
00:24:33for Shibola
00:24:34is at number
00:24:35four.
00:24:37Adonalee
00:24:38with a terrific
00:24:38goal line
00:24:40clearance.
00:24:45Shibola's eyes
00:24:45must have lit up
00:24:46here rolled in
00:24:48beautifully by
00:24:49Anderson.
00:24:51Good stop.
00:24:53Donnelly does
00:24:53really well.
00:25:01The St Mirren fans
00:25:02who remain.
00:25:03Boo.
00:25:04Their side at the
00:25:05final whistle.
00:25:06Simply not good
00:25:07enough from them
00:25:08but terrific
00:25:09work from
00:25:10Kilmarnock.
00:25:12McCann's side
00:25:13within touching
00:25:15distance of
00:25:15safety.
00:25:16St Mirren still
00:25:17with work to do.
00:25:20We came here
00:25:21to a really
00:25:22difficult place.
00:25:23We knew that
00:25:24full stadium
00:25:24today.
00:25:25Some men
00:25:26would try and
00:25:26come at us
00:25:27and we were
00:25:28ready for it.
00:25:29I said that
00:25:29our work this
00:25:30week has been
00:25:30really good,
00:25:31really thorough
00:25:31and I felt
00:25:32quite relaxed
00:25:33going into the
00:25:33game because
00:25:34I felt there's
00:25:34a massive
00:25:35belief amongst
00:25:38the players
00:25:39and we as
00:25:40a staff
00:25:40worked really
00:25:40hard to try
00:25:41and inject
00:25:42that belief
00:25:42into them
00:25:43but as I've
00:25:43heard they've
00:25:43always got to
00:25:44perform on
00:25:44the big
00:25:45occasion.
00:25:45It was a
00:25:45pressurised
00:25:46situation today.
00:25:47So to get
00:25:47the win
00:25:48it's so
00:25:49pleasing.
00:25:49I'm so proud
00:25:49of the
00:25:50performance.
00:25:50Maybe not so
00:25:51much at
00:25:51half time
00:25:52because I
00:25:52thought we
00:25:52were a bit
00:25:52loose with
00:25:53the ball
00:25:53but we
00:25:54improved on
00:25:54that and I
00:25:55think they
00:25:55showed today
00:25:56how good a
00:25:56side they are.
00:25:57I'm embarrassed
00:25:58first and
00:25:58foremost.
00:25:59Ultimately it's
00:26:00my responsibility
00:26:00I'm leading
00:26:01the group.
00:26:01There's frustration
00:26:02there's anger.
00:26:04That's the
00:26:04first day since
00:26:06I've taken over
00:26:07the group that
00:26:08have been really
00:26:09disappointed in
00:26:09us.
00:26:11We were second
00:26:12best all over
00:26:13the pitch.
00:26:13We didn't show
00:26:14the fight and
00:26:15the desire that
00:26:16we have at
00:26:16other points.
00:26:17No complaints
00:26:18come on look
00:26:18we're better
00:26:19than us today.
00:26:21I hold my
00:26:22hands up as
00:26:22well.
00:26:22We owe the
00:26:22fans an
00:26:23apology.
00:26:23I tried to
00:26:24make some
00:26:24changes at
00:26:24half time to
00:26:26go and chase
00:26:26the game a
00:26:27bit and try
00:26:27and get us
00:26:28back into it.
00:26:28Put some more
00:26:29attack minded
00:26:29players on the
00:26:30pitch.
00:26:30but we didn't
00:26:32get a chance to
00:26:33get going and
00:26:34see how those
00:26:34changes would
00:26:36make a difference
00:26:36in the game.
00:26:38From that
00:26:39point you're
00:26:40fighting uphill.
00:26:41But we
00:26:41didn't fight.
00:26:42That was the
00:26:42biggest disappointing
00:26:43thing today.
00:26:43We didn't fight.
00:26:44We've set some
00:26:45harshness in the
00:26:45changing room and
00:26:46we have to try and
00:26:48pick ourselves up.
00:26:50We will pick
00:26:50ourselves up and we
00:26:51have to fight in
00:26:52the next two
00:26:52games and see
00:26:52where that leaves
00:26:53us.
00:26:53I can't speak
00:26:54highly enough of
00:26:55the club and the
00:26:56people around it.
00:26:57They've really
00:26:57embraced us and
00:26:58what we're trying
00:26:58to do.
00:26:59I think together
00:27:00we'll work hard to
00:27:01try and make
00:27:01Kilmarnock a
00:27:02success and get
00:27:03him to where we
00:27:04want us to be.
00:27:06As I said,
00:27:07there's nothing
00:27:07secured yet.
00:27:08There's still a
00:27:09long way to go and
00:27:10we'll prepare right
00:27:11for the Dundee game
00:27:11on Tuesday night.
00:27:12We have to try and
00:27:13find a bit of
00:27:14confidence and a
00:27:15bit of momentum
00:27:15from somewhere.
00:27:17We'll see how it
00:27:18kind of leaves us at
00:27:19the end of the
00:27:19league season.
00:27:19If that then leads
00:27:20into the play-off,
00:27:21the ideal part would
00:27:21be to
00:27:23pick up a couple
00:27:24of positive results
00:27:25and at least roll
00:27:25into that with a
00:27:26bit of confidence
00:27:27and a bit of
00:27:27momentum.
00:27:28Ultimately, the
00:27:30biggest bit is
00:27:30just having fight,
00:27:32having desire.
00:27:33If we're going to
00:27:33end up in that,
00:27:34at least let's go
00:27:36down having a
00:27:36real good go at
00:27:37it.
00:27:37But today we
00:27:38didn't.
00:27:38Today we were
00:27:38soft and we
00:27:39were second best.
00:27:41A seismic result
00:27:42for Kilmarnock,
00:27:43giving them a
00:27:44four-point cushion
00:27:45with two games to
00:27:46go.
00:27:47Scott Kelly's
00:27:48first goal was
00:27:49an own goal and
00:27:50that kind of set
00:27:50the tone.
00:27:51You heard Craig
00:27:51McLeish talking
00:27:52there about
00:27:53St Mirren not
00:27:54really being at
00:27:54it today.
00:27:55Kilmarnock were
00:27:56the better team.
00:27:57Yeah, I think
00:27:57Kilmarnock for me
00:27:58started the game
00:27:59with a team who
00:28:00knew what was at
00:28:01stake today,
00:28:01continuing with
00:28:02a left-off last
00:28:03week.
00:28:03It's a fantastic
00:28:04ball that they
00:28:05brought from
00:28:05Lowry.
00:28:06And St Mirren,
00:28:07defensively, they
00:28:08have got a man
00:28:09each, but it's
00:28:09just that desire
00:28:10for Cutlass to
00:28:11put Freckleton
00:28:11under pressure and
00:28:12he ends up putting
00:28:13in the back of
00:28:14his own net.
00:28:15But for me,
00:28:16Kilmarnock started
00:28:16the game with so
00:28:17much purpose.
00:28:18Like I said,
00:28:19they knew it was
00:28:19at stake today and
00:28:20that's why you see
00:28:21guys like Finlay
00:28:22Curtis who have
00:28:22been flourishing
00:28:23in the back post,
00:28:24putting them under
00:28:24real pressure,
00:28:25trying to score
00:28:25goals.
00:28:26It's such a big
00:28:26win for Kilmarnock.
00:28:27It's only their
00:28:27second away win of
00:28:28the season, but I
00:28:29mean, it goes a
00:28:30long way to
00:28:30securing their
00:28:31Premiership status.
00:28:32I know Neil
00:28:32wouldn't say it
00:28:33there, but like,
00:28:34you know, it
00:28:35pretty much does in
00:28:36a way.
00:28:36I think his reactions
00:28:38on the touchline
00:28:38and I told you
00:28:39how important this
00:28:40game was and they
00:28:41just need to keep
00:28:42going about their
00:28:42business.
00:28:43I said, two wins
00:28:43in a row, clean
00:28:44sheets, that's
00:28:45everything you want
00:28:45going into next
00:28:46week's games.
00:28:47Yeah, Finlay
00:28:47Curtis with a
00:28:48double today.
00:28:49He's a man who's
00:28:50looking extremely
00:28:51confident right now.
00:28:52Yeah, and it's a
00:28:53lone move for the
00:28:54player especially and
00:28:56for Kilmarnock who
00:28:57just worked out.
00:28:57He went into
00:28:58Kilmarnock at a time
00:28:59when they were
00:28:59struggling.
00:29:00He's really took
00:29:00that responsibility to
00:29:01go and be creative
00:29:02and at the same
00:29:03time learn.
00:29:04And what I like
00:29:04about him is just
00:29:05the intent.
00:29:05Every time he gets the
00:29:06you don't always
00:29:07have the end
00:29:07product but the
00:29:08intent is there to
00:29:09go and put a cross
00:29:09in and try and
00:29:10create danger in the
00:29:10opposition box and
00:29:12he's done that all
00:29:12afternoon.
00:29:14Yeah, I mean, I'd
00:29:15agree with you.
00:29:16The one thing he
00:29:16doesn't do is when
00:29:17he receives the
00:29:18ball is try to
00:29:18play back the way
00:29:19or take it safe.
00:29:20Every one he goes
00:29:21and tries to be
00:29:21positive.
00:29:22Yeah, you see he's
00:29:22alive again.
00:29:24He smells the danger
00:29:25from the mistake
00:29:26from a St Mirren
00:29:27player and he's the
00:29:27first to it.
00:29:28Alive in the box.
00:29:29It's a fantastic
00:29:29controlled finish into
00:29:30the bottom corner.
00:29:32And here again on
00:29:33the front foot, strong,
00:29:35powerful, direct,
00:29:37everything that
00:29:37probably his parent
00:29:39club are probably
00:29:40missing at this
00:29:40moment in time.
00:29:41You see again,
00:29:42just looking to run
00:29:42beyond.
00:29:43That's what, see
00:29:44with wingers,
00:29:45everybody can come
00:29:45to the ball,
00:29:46square a guy up,
00:29:47play it back.
00:29:47He can play and
00:29:48then look to
00:29:48stretch in behind
00:29:49because he has
00:29:50that pace and
00:29:50power.
00:29:51And what he's
00:29:51added since going
00:29:52to Kilmarnock is
00:29:53now end product.
00:29:54You see here, he's
00:29:55just ambling into
00:29:56the box but once he
00:29:57sees there's a chance
00:29:57of it coming in, he
00:29:59gets himself in a
00:29:59position where he's
00:30:00going to be able to
00:30:00get a shot away.
00:30:01And again, a
00:30:01fantastic cultured
00:30:02finish into that
00:30:03bottom corner.
00:30:04His one last week
00:30:06was actually similar
00:30:06as well.
00:30:08He's a player in
00:30:09form.
00:30:10A good question
00:30:10would be, would
00:30:12he play for
00:30:12Rangers tomorrow if
00:30:14he wasn't on loan
00:30:14at Kilmarnock in a
00:30:16wide area, left or
00:30:17right?
00:30:17If he was at
00:30:18Rangers just now in
00:30:20the form that he's
00:30:20been playing with
00:30:21Kilmarnock, he would
00:30:22start the game for
00:30:22me.
00:30:23I think he offers
00:30:23something that he's
00:30:24seen Scott Volsson
00:30:25especially of late
00:30:25when he came in
00:30:26last Monday, can't
00:30:27offer.
00:30:28It's just that
00:30:28direct pacing behind
00:30:29and he's now
00:30:30adding the end
00:30:31product.
00:30:31How concerned
00:30:32should St Mirren
00:30:33be?
00:30:33It's four defeats
00:30:34in a row without
00:30:35scoring a goal.
00:30:36They're staring the
00:30:36playoffs in the
00:30:37face here.
00:30:39I think the
00:30:39concern has been
00:30:40grown because the
00:30:41lowest scorers in
00:30:42the league, I
00:30:42think first and
00:30:43foremost that's
00:30:43never a good
00:30:44thing.
00:30:45You then add to
00:30:45the fact that
00:30:45you're not
00:30:46defending your
00:30:46box well enough.
00:30:47Obviously Craig
00:30:47McLeish talks
00:30:48about desire,
00:30:49feeling embarrassed.
00:30:50That's all because
00:30:51Kamarnick wanted
00:30:51more things that
00:30:52you don't want to
00:30:52question of your
00:30:53players.
00:30:54There have been a
00:30:54lot of injuries at
00:30:55the same time and
00:30:56Craig McLeish has
00:30:56tried to add certain
00:30:57aspects of how he
00:30:58would maybe want
00:30:59his team to play
00:30:59to get into the
00:31:00future but they
00:31:01are in real trouble
00:31:01now for me.
00:31:03Let's have a wee
00:31:03pause and look at
00:31:04what's coming up
00:31:05for you to enjoy
00:31:06across BBC.
00:31:08Starting tomorrow
00:31:09with a big one,
00:31:09Celtic against
00:31:10Rangers, 11.30
00:31:11it's on the radio
00:31:13in the SWPL.
00:31:14Kelly against
00:31:15Boromir Thistle
00:31:16is at one, Celtic
00:31:17against Hearts
00:31:18is at four, both
00:31:19on Alapa.
00:31:20Partic Thistle
00:31:20against Rangers
00:31:21in the SWPL
00:31:22is at two on
00:31:23iPlayer and
00:31:24highlights tomorrow
00:31:25night with
00:31:25Jonathan 7.15.
00:31:28And we can now
00:31:29get some reaction
00:31:30from Fir Park.
00:31:32It's a penalty
00:31:33kick.
00:31:35Greg Aitken
00:31:35has done his
00:31:36job well.
00:31:37It's his job to
00:31:38see that for what
00:31:39it is and bring
00:31:39the referee over
00:31:40to the monitor.
00:31:42You know,
00:31:44the explanation
00:31:44that I get is
00:31:46yes, there's
00:31:46contact but there's
00:31:47not enough contact
00:31:48and anybody that's
00:31:49played the game
00:31:50and we all know
00:31:51that Cazareduce
00:31:52has pushed off,
00:31:53sprinted like four
00:31:54or five yards
00:31:54just to get in front
00:31:56and it doesn't
00:31:57need to take a
00:31:57lot of contact
00:31:58but it's contact
00:31:59that's impeded
00:32:00clearly and it's
00:32:01a penalty kick.
00:32:01It's such a
00:32:03poor decision.
00:32:04As I say,
00:32:05I'm disappointed
00:32:06with some of the
00:32:06stuff that was
00:32:07going on there
00:32:07but obviously
00:32:08that's the main
00:32:08talking point.
00:32:10Jens, just asked
00:32:11Derek McInnes
00:32:12about the penalty
00:32:12incident that
00:32:14VAR wanted to
00:32:15give but the
00:32:16referee said no.
00:32:17What were your
00:32:17thoughts on it?
00:32:18Should we call it
00:32:19a potential penalty
00:32:20incident?
00:32:21Potential penalty.
00:32:21Yeah, because I
00:32:22don't think there's
00:32:23enough in that to
00:32:24give a penalty.
00:32:25I think you can
00:32:26sense on the TV
00:32:28images, I think
00:32:28that's true, that
00:32:30there is some
00:32:30sort of contact
00:32:31but it's very
00:32:32minimal and you
00:32:34can also clearly
00:32:34see that Kisareduce
00:32:35does his best to
00:32:36make it look like
00:32:37there's more contact
00:32:37than there is.
00:32:40And I think it's
00:32:42the right decision
00:32:43because there's
00:32:44got to be more
00:32:45than that.
00:32:46I'm just happy
00:32:46that a game
00:32:47between two teams
00:32:48who are playing
00:32:50for the top
00:32:51positions in this
00:32:52league, who have
00:32:53played many,
00:32:53many, like four
00:32:55really, really
00:32:55good and intensive
00:32:56and entertaining
00:32:57games against each
00:32:58other, that it
00:33:00wasn't decided
00:33:01by a wrong call.
00:33:05They were trying
00:33:05to find a way
00:33:06to win, we were
00:33:07trying to find a
00:33:07way to win and
00:33:08the biggest thing
00:33:08I love about my
00:33:09team is.
00:33:10The desire to win
00:33:11a game is there
00:33:12but we'll have no
00:33:13winning night
00:33:13and a combination
00:33:14of a poor decision
00:33:15and us not maybe
00:33:17doing enough to
00:33:17work the goalkeeper
00:33:18in the last part
00:33:19but the intention
00:33:20was there.
00:33:21I don't think
00:33:21the final chapter
00:33:22has been written
00:33:23in who's going to
00:33:24end where
00:33:25in this season
00:33:27but I hope
00:33:28that we will
00:33:28write our own
00:33:29final chapter
00:33:30on Wednesday
00:33:31on where we
00:33:32will end this season.
00:33:34Falkirk welcome
00:33:35Hibbs now
00:33:36knowing a win
00:33:37would lift them
00:33:37above David
00:33:38Gray's men
00:33:39into fifth place.
00:33:41This is a very
00:33:43interesting match
00:33:44set up today
00:33:45between Falkirk
00:33:46and Hibernian.
00:33:48After defeating
00:33:49fourth place
00:33:49Motherwell
00:33:50the Bairns are
00:33:51focusing on fifth
00:33:52and a win over
00:33:53Hibbs today
00:33:54will see Falkirk
00:33:55replace Hibernian
00:33:56in that spot.
00:33:58David Gray is looking
00:33:59to prevent that
00:34:00from happening
00:34:00a win will take
00:34:02his Hibbs side
00:34:02five points ahead
00:34:04of today's opponents.
00:34:05Another huge
00:34:06Falkirk win
00:34:07here last weekend
00:34:08so John McGlynn
00:34:08makes only a single
00:34:09change with
00:34:10on-loan Swansea
00:34:11City man
00:34:12Kyrie Wilsing
00:34:13replacing Brogio
00:34:14who's named
00:34:15on the bench.
00:34:16A good start
00:34:17for Hibbs is needed
00:34:18to halt a run
00:34:18of three straight
00:34:19defeats
00:34:20but keeping 11
00:34:21on the pitch
00:34:21will be important.
00:34:23Six changes
00:34:24Salinger starts
00:34:25after suspension
00:34:26Hanley returns
00:34:27Obita is in
00:34:28from kick-off
00:34:29Paslak is back
00:34:30in after his
00:34:31red card
00:34:31and Barlasa
00:34:32reinstated.
00:34:34Campbell makes
00:34:35his first league
00:34:35start since the
00:34:36end of 2025.
00:34:38The two managers
00:34:39meet and both
00:34:40know just how
00:34:41big a game
00:34:41this is.
00:34:43Passes back
00:34:43to Salinger
00:34:44and steps
00:34:45between the sticks
00:34:47for Hibbs again.
00:34:49The Bernian
00:34:50boss stating
00:34:52a clear conversation
00:34:54was had between
00:34:54the two goalkeepers.
00:34:57Falkirk
00:34:58turning that
00:34:59behind through
00:35:00Nielsen
00:35:01and Hibbs have
00:35:02the first corner
00:35:02of the game.
00:35:05Campbell is waiting.
00:35:09Campbell a trailing
00:35:10figure unmarked
00:35:11at the moment.
00:35:12Corner whipped in.
00:35:13It looks dangerous.
00:35:14Campbell's there
00:35:15and Hibbs have
00:35:16an early lead
00:35:19and what about
00:35:20that
00:35:22from Campbell
00:35:23the joy for
00:35:25Josh Campbell.
00:35:26He just isn't
00:35:27man-marked.
00:35:29Campbell rising
00:35:30the highest
00:35:30and gets enough
00:35:31on it
00:35:32to put the ball
00:35:33beyond Hogarth.
00:35:39This is Nielsen
00:35:40for Falkirk.
00:35:44Wilson.
00:35:45It's a two-on-two
00:35:46around the penalty area.
00:35:48Miller picks up.
00:35:49Hibbs have bodies
00:35:49back now.
00:35:51Wilson still available.
00:35:55Tries to beat
00:35:55Airedale
00:35:56and does.
00:35:58Can Falkirk
00:35:59make this count?
00:36:00It's Lisa.
00:36:06Left-footed cross.
00:36:07Just needed a touch.
00:36:09And Barney Stewart
00:36:11so close.
00:36:14Barney Stewart
00:36:15had a number
00:36:16of first-half chances
00:36:17last Saturday
00:36:18against Motherwell
00:36:19but couldn't convert.
00:36:31Heldink
00:36:31tries to hold.
00:36:34Falkirk
00:36:35pick up the ball.
00:36:36Wilson with space.
00:36:38Airedale closing down.
00:36:40Wilson teases it
00:36:41towards the back.
00:36:42The touch was from Miller.
00:36:46Calvin Miller
00:36:47looked to be
00:36:48off balance
00:36:49trying to reach it.
00:36:55John McGlynn did say
00:36:57the season has been
00:36:58an amazing one
00:36:58for Falkirk.
00:37:02High Falkirk line.
00:37:04Obita delivers.
00:37:10Chaiwa back out
00:37:12for Jordan
00:37:13Obita.
00:37:14Early cross.
00:37:15Finds a head!
00:37:17And it was the head
00:37:18of Warren O'Hora.
00:37:20The defender.
00:37:22The Hibs fans
00:37:23were expecting
00:37:24the net to bulge.
00:37:29This is Airedale.
00:37:32Searching wide
00:37:33for Boyle.
00:37:35Neat touch.
00:37:36Boyle crosses.
00:37:37Waiting to be attacked!
00:37:39And it is!
00:37:40And it's another
00:37:40for Josh Campbell!
00:37:43Airedale with a lovely
00:37:44pass out for Boyle.
00:37:46He keeps his eyes
00:37:47on it all the way.
00:37:48This cross
00:37:49looked dangerous.
00:37:50It was deep
00:37:51in behind
00:37:52the Falkirk
00:37:53back line.
00:37:54How has Campbell
00:37:55allowed all that
00:37:56space to move
00:37:57in at the back post?
00:38:00It's only 20 minutes
00:38:01on the clock.
00:38:03And John McGlynn
00:38:03can't believe it.
00:38:07Chaiwa can clear
00:38:08that one far away.
00:38:10It's actually
00:38:11a brilliant pass
00:38:12for Boyle.
00:38:13Hibs flooding forward.
00:38:15Owen Elding
00:38:17drives over.
00:38:18There's a touch.
00:38:20I'm not quite sure
00:38:21who got it
00:38:22but Josh Campbell
00:38:24was making another move.
00:38:28Holding forced wide.
00:38:30Look at that run
00:38:30from Campbell.
00:38:32It's Connor Allen
00:38:33who got the touch.
00:38:35That's short.
00:38:37Campbell
00:38:38intercepts.
00:38:39It's a poor pass.
00:38:42Hibs have it again.
00:38:43Barlaser.
00:38:44Obita
00:38:45had space in the left.
00:38:46Barlaser goes for goal.
00:38:48Comfortable in the end
00:38:49for Hogarth.
00:38:51Felt like he could tease it
00:38:52around the Falkirk bodies.
00:38:54She had a tough angle.
00:39:00Barlaser
00:39:01has a look at what's on offer
00:39:02for the free kick.
00:39:05Up towards Hanley.
00:39:07Managed to get a touch.
00:39:08An unconvincing clearance.
00:39:10Obita strike deflected.
00:39:11Superb reflex save
00:39:13from Hogarth.
00:39:17A couple of important moments
00:39:19for the Falkirk goalkeeper.
00:39:23That's brilliant.
00:39:28Wants to send this throw forward.
00:39:34Paslak.
00:39:36Not much space to work with.
00:39:38Does well to get the ball over.
00:39:39And it will drop for Obita.
00:39:43Who batters the ball
00:39:45into the back of the net.
00:39:47The first half
00:39:48just gets better and better
00:39:51for Hibernian.
00:39:53Paslak didn't look like
00:39:54he had much on
00:39:55with that delivery.
00:39:57Boyle moved first.
00:39:59He didn't get near it.
00:40:00Obita stepped up.
00:40:02And that is a terrific finish.
00:40:05Hogarth with no chance.
00:40:07As the ball flashes
00:40:09between his legs.
00:40:13A shake of the head
00:40:14from John McGlynn.
00:40:16And that pretty much sums up
00:40:19Falkirk's afternoon so far.
00:40:26Chaiwa.
00:40:30Dipped header from Henderson.
00:40:33Boyle.
00:40:34Gets that one all wrong.
00:40:37Martin Boyle
00:40:39looking for
00:40:40goal number 8
00:40:41in the Premiership
00:40:41this season.
00:40:55Sent to the back post.
00:40:57Important fingertips
00:40:58from Hogarth.
00:40:59Obita.
00:41:01Lovely pass out
00:41:02for Newell.
00:41:05Verses his way
00:41:06past Miller.
00:41:07Stays on his feet.
00:41:08It drops for Obita.
00:41:11He can't replicate
00:41:12his first half finish.
00:41:26Miller with Ross.
00:41:31Miller again.
00:41:33Spencer waits.
00:41:35Spencer takes.
00:41:37Brogio.
00:41:38Goal!
00:41:40Falkirk have one back.
00:41:44And Ben Brogio
00:41:45scores his fifth goal
00:41:46in the Premiership
00:41:47this season.
00:41:48The only one
00:41:49to be taken out
00:41:50of the team
00:41:51from the start
00:41:52this weekend.
00:41:54But he makes his mark
00:41:55with a fine finish.
00:41:58Hibbs will be disappointed
00:42:00to lose a goal.
00:42:03Just over quarter
00:42:04of an hour to play.
00:42:13Clipped in.
00:42:14Oh, the diving header
00:42:15was in the wrong direction.
00:42:18Now the strike through!
00:42:20Just trickles wide.
00:42:22Falkirk are claiming
00:42:23a corner.
00:42:25Well, this one
00:42:26was actually a punch
00:42:27from Salinger.
00:42:28And then Ross lays off
00:42:29for Miller.
00:42:35Nice move.
00:42:38Miller
00:42:38screaming for it.
00:42:40He has to stretch
00:42:41to step on
00:42:42in towards the back post.
00:42:43The header
00:42:44just wide.
00:42:48Ethan Ross
00:42:50just can't find
00:42:51the direction
00:42:52to get it on target.
00:42:54We defended badly.
00:42:56Hibbs were very clinical
00:42:57with the opportunities
00:42:58they got.
00:42:59They were clinical.
00:43:00Second half,
00:43:01we've had a bit of go.
00:43:02We get a good go back
00:43:03with Ben
00:43:04and there's been
00:43:04other opportunities.
00:43:06We tried to play.
00:43:07We tried to get back
00:43:08in the game.
00:43:09Got to give the boys
00:43:10credit for no giving up
00:43:11and keep going.
00:43:12However,
00:43:13it was a little bit
00:43:14too late.
00:43:15No, nothing's achieved yet.
00:43:17Absolutely not.
00:43:17What we are at the moment
00:43:18is we've done our job today.
00:43:20We've been frustrated
00:43:21in the last three weeks
00:43:22because of
00:43:23not picking up any points
00:43:24and the effort
00:43:25that's went into
00:43:26the three games.
00:43:27But today,
00:43:27we're able to...
00:43:28We've done our job today
00:43:29which has controlled
00:43:29what we can.
00:43:30Really good away performance
00:43:32at a difficult place.
00:43:33Three points.
00:43:34But there's certainly
00:43:34a belief within the group
00:43:35and that's probably
00:43:36what lends itself
00:43:37to a wee bit more frustration
00:43:38in the last few weeks.
00:43:39But we certainly
00:43:40gave ourselves
00:43:40the best chance
00:43:41with the way we played
00:43:41today
00:43:42and we're going to need
00:43:42to do that again
00:43:43on Wednesday night.
00:43:45Hibs started with the bang
00:43:46and Falkirk never really
00:43:47recovered, Scott.
00:43:49Josh Campbell,
00:43:50a double
00:43:51inside 20 minutes
00:43:52and that kind of
00:43:53set the tone
00:43:53for the game.
00:43:55Yeah,
00:43:55Josh Campbell for me
00:43:56is someone
00:43:56who I played with
00:43:58in my time at Hibs.
00:43:59What he does do well
00:44:00is he attacks the ball
00:44:00really well
00:44:01and you see here
00:44:03defensively
00:44:03from a Falkirk
00:44:04point of view
00:44:05it's shocking
00:44:06defending.
00:44:06But Josh Campbell
00:44:07as soon as you run on you
00:44:08he's got that desire
00:44:09to get on the end of it.
00:44:09It's a fantastic header.
00:44:10But Lewis Nielsen
00:44:11who's in that
00:44:12zonal
00:44:14marking position
00:44:15he has got a sense
00:44:16of danger
00:44:16he's got to attack
00:44:17he never looks as if
00:44:17he's going to be challenged.
00:44:20in early on in games
00:44:21it's never a good way
00:44:22to start the game
00:44:22but there wasn't much
00:44:24between the teams
00:44:24when you're looking at it
00:44:26with general possession
00:44:26but what Hibs do
00:44:27they just kept asking questions
00:44:28putting balls in the box
00:44:29Martin Boyle
00:44:30still going strong
00:44:31as his Hibs career
00:44:32comes to an end
00:44:33but a fantastic ball in
00:44:34and there's Josh Campbell
00:44:35again arriving in the box
00:44:36and judges the bounce
00:44:38really well
00:44:38and nods home.
00:44:39Martin Boyle
00:44:39as I just said
00:44:41he still has impacts
00:44:42in games
00:44:43he creates goals
00:44:43he score goals
00:44:44and that's just
00:44:45putting the ball
00:44:45into an area
00:44:46but Falkirk again
00:44:46not switched on
00:44:47not tracking runners
00:44:48and John McGlynn
00:44:49you can tell
00:44:50he was disappointed
00:44:51because it was a big
00:44:52opportunity for Falkirk
00:44:53today as I said
00:44:54on the way into the game
00:44:55to go above
00:44:56Hibberny
00:44:56now they're five
00:44:58behind
00:44:58or four behind
00:44:59sorry
00:44:59it's a difficult form
00:45:00Jordan Obeeta then
00:45:01made it three
00:45:02before half time
00:45:02pretty much game done
00:45:04it three nil isn't it
00:45:04it's a long way back
00:45:05from there.
00:45:06Yeah
00:45:06I think you've got to
00:45:08give Hibs credit
00:45:08they haven't played
00:45:09a lot of games recently
00:45:10with a full allocation
00:45:11of players on the part
00:45:12but Paslak here
00:45:13back in after being sent off
00:45:14the other week
00:45:15again
00:45:15a ball just in an area
00:45:16and Falkirk just didn't
00:45:17defend crosses
00:45:18the whole afternoon
00:45:19but a fantastic
00:45:20driven strike there
00:45:21from Obeeta
00:45:22and as soon as it goes
00:45:23three nil
00:45:24it's a long way back
00:45:24for first time.
00:45:25I think it was an
00:45:26important win for Hibs
00:45:27you know they've lost
00:45:27three in a row
00:45:28coming into the game
00:45:30for David Gray
00:45:31and for Hibberny
00:45:32really important
00:45:33to get that win
00:45:34a very difficult
00:45:34away venue.
00:45:36Yeah and somewhere
00:45:36where they went
00:45:37early in the season
00:45:37Falkirk were excellent
00:45:38against them
00:45:39I think David
00:45:40would have known
00:45:40there was a bit of
00:45:41pressure on that game
00:45:42from Hibs
00:45:42obviously you look at
00:45:43the last couple of weeks
00:45:44and guys getting sent off
00:45:45but they had players
00:45:46back in today
00:45:47and go three nil
00:45:48early on in the game
00:45:49and just by being
00:45:50their dynamic self
00:45:51putting balls in the box
00:45:52making Falkirk defend
00:45:53it's a fantastic
00:45:54three points for Hibs.
00:45:55It certainly is
00:45:55and for John McGlynn
00:45:56he'll not be too despondent
00:45:57I mean it's been
00:45:58such an impressive season
00:45:59there's been very few
00:46:00blips
00:46:01his team
00:46:01for large parts of the day
00:46:03had more possession
00:46:04of the ball
00:46:04but maybe just
00:46:05not quite as clinical
00:46:06as he said
00:46:07in the final third
00:46:08as Hibberny
00:46:08showed themselves to be
00:46:09today.
00:46:10Yeah but I just think
00:46:11starting the game
00:46:12as poorly as they did
00:46:13defensively
00:46:13it then makes it
00:46:14a lot harder
00:46:15for your creative players
00:46:15to then go and find
00:46:16something
00:46:16sometimes you get
00:46:17a wee bit more
00:46:18desperate in the final third
00:46:19and you could kind of
00:46:20see that through
00:46:20the team today
00:46:21but they've got a chance
00:46:21to put it right
00:46:22against Hearts
00:46:22during the week.
00:46:23They certainly do.
00:46:24OK Aberdeen
00:46:25have a little left
00:46:26to play for
00:46:27but there's always an edge
00:46:27when Dundee United
00:46:29visit Pataudry.
00:46:31United could wrap up
00:46:33seventh place
00:46:33with a win
00:46:34and a draw
00:46:34would mean
00:46:35they'll likely finish
00:46:35above Aberdeen
00:46:36for the second
00:46:37straight season.
00:46:38The Dons though
00:46:39are improving
00:46:39under Steven Robinson
00:46:41and are unbeaten
00:46:42in their last three games.
00:46:45Well Mitchell Frame
00:46:46scored his first
00:46:47Aberdeen goal
00:46:47against Livingston
00:46:48but he's replaced
00:46:49by Emmanuel Guiamfi
00:46:50Alexander Jensen
00:46:51also makes way
00:46:52for Mats Knuster
00:46:53who makes his first start
00:46:54since January.
00:46:57Jim Goodwin
00:46:58drops Sam Clealharding
00:46:59Panucz Kamara
00:47:00and Max Waters
00:47:00after the 3-0 defeat
00:47:02by Kalmarnak
00:47:02in come Uriyeovu
00:47:04Vichko Shevet
00:47:05and Ryan Strain.
00:47:11Aberdeen still not quite
00:47:13mathematically safe
00:47:15from the playoff spot
00:47:17work to do
00:47:18and Olasanya
00:47:19setting about the task
00:47:21denied by Dave Richards
00:47:25no goals
00:47:26for Aberdeen
00:47:28yet for Toyosi
00:47:28Olasanya
00:47:30this is 16th appearance
00:47:32for the Dons
00:47:33yet to find

00:47:41Geiger
00:47:43drops it over the top
00:47:45for Olasanya

00:48:03from the manager
00:48:04a smile
00:48:04from Stuart
00:48:05Armstrong
00:48:06and Aberdeen
00:48:08after a pretty
00:48:09positive start
00:48:10have a reward
00:48:13you cannot rest for a second
00:48:15when you're defending
00:48:16Toyosi Olasanya
00:48:18and this time
00:48:19he had the composure
00:48:19to match
00:48:20lays it on to Armstrong
00:48:22excellent touch
00:48:23and strokes it

00:48:59and has no option
00:49:00but to bring him
00:49:01to the turf
00:49:01and the yellow card

00:49:09just so quick
00:49:12Toyosi Olasanya

00:55:1016th
00:55:10appearance and
00:55:15almost everyone
00:55:17Bar those associated with the United are delighted for him, he's worked so hard all game, once
00:55:27again in the right place and this time he has the finish to match.
00:55:38Credit to the players, they've bought into everything, we've just tried to get them
00:55:42more solid, more organised and that's three clean sheets in a row, so if you do that
00:55:47you win football matches and you certainly don't lose them and they've managed to do
00:55:49that against a Dundee United site that have got a lot of physicality, throw a lot of balls
00:55:54into your box, a lot of long throws and they've managed to match that today and of course
00:55:58there's bits on the sticky pitch we can be better at, we scored a really good goal, so
00:56:03there's lots of pleasing aspects of it and things that maybe this Aberdeen team I say
00:56:07again weren't associated with but they managed to grind the result out and play when they
00:56:11needed to play.
00:56:12We got done with one ball over the top for Alessanya, which is something that we analysed
00:56:17all week, we spoke about and worked on in training and we don't read that situation well enough
00:56:22and unfortunately get punished, it was probably the only big chance in the opening period,
00:56:28we made some changes at half time, changed the shape, changed personnel and I thought we
00:56:33were a lot better in the second period, the only thing that was missing obviously was that
00:56:38bit of cutting edge in front of goal.
00:56:41A third consecutive home win and clean sheet for Aberdeen.
00:56:46To you say Alessanya, hugely influential today Scott, he can be hit or he can be missed?
00:56:52He can be but what you can never accuse him of is lack of endeavour and spirit and looking
00:56:58to run beyond and be a good team mate.
00:57:00You see that in abundance.
00:57:01Even here, I think Stuart is a fantastic finish, really composed.
00:57:05I think Stuart is probably wanting that to just roll to him so he can step onto it first
00:57:08time.
00:57:08But what I would say about Alessanya, he's in between the two defenders, he caused them
00:57:12problems all day, just for his willingness to get in behind and that one there is I speak
00:57:16about.
00:57:16I think Stuart is just wanting to come onto that first time.
00:57:17He does want to dig it out of his feet and get it shot off, doesn't he?
00:57:20He just shoot really well and that's the type of finish we associate with Stuart Armstrong
00:57:23and again, just making a nuisance of himself.
00:57:26Dundee Wright, he can't deal with it.
00:57:28It's just that little bit of erraticness with the finishing that I think Aberdeen fans will
00:57:32get frustrated with it.
00:57:33I think it's just probably every club he's been at but he brings so much in terms of his
00:57:36power, his speed and he gives you that option of playing in behind and his work rate
00:57:41is good as well.
00:57:42So if he could just tidy up that final wee bit, then he could be a real player.
00:57:47He would be and he would probably be playing at a higher level but what I love about this
00:57:50goal is Lyle Cameron is back here.
00:57:51He sinks in as if he's going to take what he's left with.
00:57:53The awareness to let it through him, I think it's got to be saved, there's not a lot of
00:57:57power in the shot but Olusanya alive in the box to tuck it home.
00:58:01But just that little bit of detail there from Lyle Cameron, I love the little bits from
00:58:06him attacking.
00:58:07He just sinks in to entice the defender to come in.
00:58:10The goalkeeper's got to be doing better.
00:58:11He has, it's a howler from the goalkeeper.
00:58:14There's been a few for Dundee United this season, throughout the season.
00:58:18United thought that they should have had a penalty.
00:58:20What's your thoughts on this one?
00:58:21It's a very difficult one to spot this in terms of is there contact with the ball?
00:58:28Very hard to tell.
00:58:29I think even when we look back at different angles it was inconclusive.
00:58:32Some of them they look as if he does get a touch, the other ones not so much.
00:58:35I think that's why with the on-field decision it's then hard to come to conclusive evidence
00:58:39that he's got a touch on the ball.
00:58:40But it was good play initially there.
00:58:42From Sapsard, Aramu coming round the side.
00:58:46And you see it there.
00:58:48From that angle it looks like he gets the touch.
00:58:50Does the ball change direction at all?
00:58:52I'm not sure if it does.
00:58:53But I think you're right.
00:58:54You know, VAR can't, the pictures are inconclusive.
00:58:58So VAR can't change the on-field decision if you like.
00:59:01And you know, it wasn't given.
00:59:03It's three wins and a draw in Aberdeen's last four for Steven Robinson.
00:59:06He's brought stability, a vital stage of the season for them.
00:59:10And along with that he's brought wins back to Petaudry.
00:59:13So he's made an impact at Aberdeen in the short space of time that he's been there.
00:59:17Yeah, there's no doubt he's steadied his ship at a time where I think a lot of us who have
00:59:22been watching the games throughout the season
00:59:23were finding it hard to see where a win was going to come from.
00:59:25You're in touch on the three wins and a draw.
00:59:27They're now in a good place and they can look ahead to next season to start recruiting.
00:59:31OK, let's move on.
00:59:32To Denz Park now as Dundee take on relegated Livingston with Scott Arfield replacing Marvin Bartley in the dugout.
00:59:40Livingston lost their lengthy battle against relegation.
00:59:43They've also lost head coach Marvin Bartley.
00:59:45Dundee don't want to be finishing in the relegation playoff spot.
00:59:50Steven Presley and interim Livy head coach Scott Arfield were teammates at Falkirk in a previous life.
00:59:58Dundee goalkeeper John McCracken won't play again this season.
01:00:02Kieran O'Hara makes his first start.
01:00:04Otherwise, it's the team which beat St Mirwin last Saturday.
01:00:09One of the four changes for Scott Arfield and Livy is leaving himself out.
01:00:14McGowan, Montano and Mayer. The three others in come Kerr, Tate, Pittman and Mackay.
01:00:22Dundee looking for back-to-back wins in the league for only a second time this season.
01:00:29Jan Dunda spotting the movement of Joe Wesley.
01:00:34Match winner last weekend with an early chance here at Denz.
01:00:40keeping himself onside, well picked out by Dunda, but off target.
01:00:52Murray chasing.
01:00:55Camongola hoping he had things under control.
01:00:59But he gives up nothing than the captain and he's won them a corner kick here.
01:01:08Cam Congreave to deliver, scooped up to the back post.
01:01:12And it was Luke Graham attacking it.
01:01:17What will the summer bring for Graham?
01:01:20Lots of interest from lots of clubs you would imagine.
01:01:25What are we going to get today from already relegated Livingston?
01:01:31Scott Pittman wants it back, gets it back, nice passage of play and he slips it through for Macaulay Tate.
01:01:38It's a good effort and it's a really good save.
01:01:41That will feel good on his first start for O'Hara.
01:01:46Tate scored in Livingston's first game of the season and hasn't scored since.
01:01:54Stephen Presley hoping today can be the day that safety is guaranteed.
01:02:02Dre Wright.
01:02:04Down goes Simon Murray.
01:02:06Up pops Simon Murray.
01:02:08In from Ugan, it's Murray who knocks it down.
01:02:11And it's Cam Congreave who scores.
01:02:14Dundee in front, 13 minutes in.
01:02:19Congreave's third goal of the season.
01:02:22And everyone in dark blue is hoping this goal points Dundee towards Premiership safety.
01:02:32Good feet from Congreave.
01:02:36Joe Wesley initially looked to get on the end of the knockdown,
01:02:39but it ran very invitingly for the on loan Swansea winger.
01:02:43And he stabbed in for 1-0.
01:02:47Not the start Scott Arfield was looking for as he steps into management for the first time.
01:02:55Flicked away by Barry McKay.
01:02:57That's Lewis Smith with the up and under.
01:03:01McKay does well and slips it through for Tate.
01:03:06Back comes Brad Halliday.
01:03:10Well that's why the Dundee fans have taken to him very quickly.
01:03:16What they get from Halliday is total commitment.
01:03:19And this a perfectly timed tackle.
01:03:25Congreave against Mackay.
01:03:27Oh it's a lovely ball in.
01:03:29And not yet safe it is now.
01:03:32Touched behind by Prior.
01:03:38Westerly looking to get on the end of this lovely clipped ball in.
01:03:43From Congreave.
01:03:48Another Dundee corner kick.
01:03:51Worked off the training ground.
01:03:53Congreave shot blocked.
01:03:54It runs for Murray.
01:03:56And it was on target.
01:03:58It was a snapshot from the Dundee skipper.
01:04:03Well gathered by Prior.
01:04:09Murray's flick.
01:04:10He's here.
01:04:10He's there.
01:04:11He's everywhere.
01:04:12And now Congreave back in for Murray.
01:04:15What a chance.
01:04:16Should have scored.
01:04:18And he knows it.
01:04:21In his book.
01:04:22This is an absolute sitter.
01:04:26Should have been 2-0.
01:04:28Well set up by Congreave.
01:04:33Seela.
01:04:35For Finlayson.
01:04:38Now Mackay.
01:04:41Good ball in for Nublay.
01:04:43Should surely have done better.
01:04:46Nublay.
01:04:47Really nicely flighted in.
01:04:49Behind Astley.
01:04:51And it's set up a big chance for Nublay.
01:04:57Stepping away.
01:04:59There's Luke Graham.
01:05:00Driving into midfield.
01:05:02And then picking out Cam Congreave.
01:05:04Who looks to threaten again.
01:05:06Cuts inside.
01:05:07Shot blocked.
01:05:08Here he goes again.
01:05:10And he's crossed it for Finn Robertson.
01:05:12To surely tie things up for Dundee.
01:05:1871 minutes.
01:05:212-0 for the home team.
01:05:24And Robertson.
01:05:25Who scored a late winner against Motherwell.
01:05:28In March.
01:05:31Gets another important goal for Dundee.
01:05:35It was all about Congreave.
01:05:36Not giving up.
01:05:38And he forced the ball in.
01:05:40For Robertson.
01:05:42To score.
01:05:50Barry Mackay.
01:05:51In on the half.
01:05:52Volley.
01:05:52Really good delivery.
01:05:54Fended away by Billy Cometeo.
01:05:57Finlayson.
01:05:59Lewis Smith.
01:06:00That's got to be a penalty.
01:06:02And it is.
01:06:05You could tell immediately by Ethan Hamilton's reaction.
01:06:10That he knew.
01:06:11This was a.
01:06:13Stonewaller.
01:06:16And a chance.
01:06:17For Livy to get a lift.
01:06:19It's Robbie Muirhead.
01:06:21It's a poor penalty.
01:06:23And it's a big save.
01:06:25For Kieran O'Hara.
01:06:27Down the middle.
01:06:28But low down the middle.
01:06:30Had to surely be lifting it over the goalkeeper's legs.
01:06:33And O'Hara makes the save.
01:06:40Here goes Imari Samuels.
01:06:41Off the bench.
01:06:42A lovely ball.
01:06:43Curled in behind for Asher.
01:06:45Big shout for a penalty.
01:06:48Referee Colin Stephen.
01:06:50Says.
01:06:50No chance.
01:06:53And I think.
01:06:54Jerome Prior.
01:06:55With the same.
01:06:57Verdict here.
01:06:58Because he got a touch.
01:06:59With that right glove.
01:07:01To get the ball away from Asher.
01:07:04And right back.
01:07:05Certainly no penalty.
01:07:09Danda.
01:07:13Scott Wright.
01:07:15Looking to make things happen.
01:07:17Off the bench.
01:07:20Samuels with the cross ball in.
01:07:21Comettio's header.
01:07:24Rescued by Robertson.
01:07:27Here's Wright.
01:07:30Finn Robertson.
01:07:31Oh it's a great ball in for Asher.
01:07:33And that is that for Dundee.
01:07:37It's 3-0.
01:07:40And they know they will be playing Premiership football again next season.
01:07:48Top quality this from Robertson on the back of his goal.
01:07:52This is an expert assist.
01:07:56Prior came for it.
01:07:57But Asher was towering over the top of him to nod the ball in.
01:08:02For Dundee's.
01:08:04Third goal.
01:08:10Miserable for Scott Harfield.
01:08:14And Livingston.
01:08:16Steven Presley.
01:08:18And Dundee.
01:08:19Secure their Premiership status.
01:08:22And they've done it pretty emphatically here in the end against championship bound Livingston.
01:08:273-0 winners.
01:08:30At times it's been very difficult this season.
01:08:33Especially in the early stages.
01:08:35There was a lot of doubt.
01:08:38There was a lot of difficult moments.
01:08:40There was a lot of, you know, soul searching.
01:08:43And, you know, to keep going.
01:08:47To keep finding a way.
01:08:48I couldn't be prouder of the group.
01:08:50I don't think that game was ever a 3-0 game.
01:08:53Not a chance.
01:08:53They asked the boys to excite me.
01:08:55And if they excited me.
01:08:57Standing at the side.
01:08:58And they've obviously got to excite each other.
01:08:59I felt as if they did that.
01:09:00And possession would be excellent at times.
01:09:04Three and easy for Dundee against relegated Livingston.
01:09:07Cameron Congreve got the first goal.
01:09:09He's been an excellent signing for Dundee right throughout the season.
01:09:14Congreve, if you look at some of the best performances throughout the season for Dundee,
01:09:17he has been the star player in the A games.
01:09:20Always looking to get in the box.
01:09:21He's really dangerous.
01:09:22Likes to get at people.
01:09:23Not too similar to Finlay Curtis who we spoke about earlier.
01:09:26But you see here, just a simple ball in the box.
01:09:28He's looking to get on the end of it.
01:09:30Listen, don't get me wrong.
01:09:31It's a bit fortunate that it comes off Wesley.
01:09:32But he's there to slide at home.
01:09:34And he's one who I think Dundee fans have really fell in love with this year.
01:09:38Yeah, but Livingston again.
01:09:39Not really dealing with the ball or the pressure and getting clear in season.
01:09:43Throughout the course of the season.
01:09:44It's been their Achilles heel just defensively.
01:09:47Not good enough, really.
01:09:49Not good enough.
01:09:50And that's why they are where they are this season.
01:09:52They're obviously going down to the Championship.
01:09:53Two wins all season.
01:09:55Individual errors at the back.
01:09:56And just not taking enough responsibility.
01:09:57Yes, they had some nice bits on the ball today.
01:10:00But the foundations come from how you defend.
01:10:02Aye, absolutely.
01:10:03Dundee had to wait until the last 20 minutes to get their second and third goal.
01:10:07It eventually came.
01:10:08Scott Arfield saying it was never a 3-0 game.
01:10:10But Dundee will take it.
01:10:13Dundee will because they are asking the question again.
01:10:15Congreve, he reacts before the two Livingston players.
01:10:17And there's Finlay Robertson to slide home.
01:10:20But he just comes inside the pitch.
01:10:21You know he's left footed.
01:10:22He's looking to get his shot away.
01:10:23They defend the initial one.
01:10:25Good.
01:10:25But he's first to react.
01:10:27And there's Finlay Robertson.
01:10:28Standing unmarked at the back post.
01:10:30And puts up.
01:10:31Dundee go 2-0 ahead.
01:10:32And I always felt today was one of the games where Dundee is securing their Premiership status.
01:10:37We're going to go out and win the game.
01:10:39It's been a rollercoaster of a season for Stephen Presley.
01:10:41There's no getting away from it.
01:10:42Ashley Haye another one who's came in that's a fantastic header.
01:10:45Question marks over the goalie.
01:10:47But another good goal from a Dundee point of view.
01:10:49Yeah I mean after a tricky start for Stephen Presley.
01:10:52He's grown on the Dundee supporters hasn't he?
01:10:55Because he was getting a lot of stick at the early part of the season.
01:10:58But he's done really well to weather that.
01:11:01He suggested as much in his interview.
01:11:04And basically he's secured top flight football for Dundee again for next season.
01:11:08So you know it's job done in that case.
01:11:10Well he wasn't a fans first choices coming in as manager.
01:11:13He obviously had the interview at the start of the season where fans were raising eyebrows.
01:11:17The League Cup group phase didn't go well for him.
01:11:19And then he just managed to find a rhythm throughout the midway point of the season.
01:11:24And as I said I think there were some performances that have been fantastic.
01:11:27I think London Cup away at Celtic Park where some of the football was excellent that night.
01:11:32Dundee Derby a few weeks back when he came back with a late equaliser.
01:11:36So they've had moments they just haven't been consistent.
01:11:38But he'll be delighted to secure that Premiership status.
01:11:41Yeah.
01:11:412-0 down Libby had a penalty to try and get back into the game.
01:11:45But unfortunately for Robbie Muirhead he couldn't put it away.
01:11:48No.
01:11:50Robbie Muirhead for me he's seen some of the goals he scores.
01:11:52He scores a lot of variety.
01:11:53Some fantastic volleys, headers.
01:11:55And it just kind of summed up Livingstone's day didn't it?
01:11:58Straight down the middle goalie saves it.
01:12:01And Livingstone for me now they just have to look to next season how they're going to recruit.
01:12:05What did you make of Marvin Bartley's resignation?
01:12:08Clearly he felt that the goalposts had been moved in terms of what he'd been told in terms of next
01:12:14season.
01:12:14What did you make of it all?
01:12:16Yeah I think we've only heard one side of the story so far.
01:12:19But I think if you're a manager and you're getting the goalposts or getting changed I think it can be
01:12:23very frustrating.
01:12:24Because what I would see is when he came in they were a lot more structured.
01:12:27Performances were much improved.
01:12:29Obviously off the back of the win a few weeks ago.
01:12:31So I can understand the real frustration there but Livingstone are a club now in a bit of upheaval.
01:12:36Scott Arfield has to come in today and try and lift a side who are getting relegated and lacking a
01:12:41little bit of edge.
01:12:42It's a really difficult situation at Livingstone.
01:12:44And as I said I think next season they have to get it right.
01:12:46It's huge for them isn't it next season?
01:12:47Yeah for me and that comes with who the manager is going to be and then what sort of recruitment
01:12:51you're going to produce.
01:12:52Okay.
01:12:53Let's have a wee look at the table tonight.
01:12:57Hearts top on 77.
01:12:59Celtic play Rangers tomorrow of course.
01:13:02Motherwell are in fourth.
01:13:04Hibbs on 54 in fifth.
01:13:06Aberdeen three behind United on 40 points.
01:13:09Dundee one behind in ninth.
01:13:12Kelly Four clear of St Mirren who are in the relegation playoff place.
01:13:15And Livy as we know relegated on 20 points.
01:13:20And that's it for tonight.
01:13:21Thanks to Scott for joining me.
01:13:22One game to go tomorrow.
01:13:24It's not over yet.
01:13:25Goodnight.
01:13:27Watch me go.
01:13:30I'm afraid you're turning on.
01:13:36Oh, baby I'm afraid.
01:13:42Now it's time for me to surrender.
01:13:45Bye.
01:13:49Bye.
01:13:52Bye.
