For some children, something as simple as a pair of glasses can make a world of difference in the classroom. Last weekend, 37 students received the gift of sight through an initiative by the Rapid Fire Kidz Foundation in partnership with Republic Bank.

00:28communities if there is a school in your community and the children can't always afford
00:35meals and you operate a little bakery then maybe on a friday you could send 40 or 50 current rolls
00:46if you own a little bookstore you could send some exercise books or some coloring books
00:53and today these glasses weren't possible only because of rapid fire or only because of republic
01:02bank or only because of seaview all of us came together we came together and made it possible
01:11ratiram also encouraged citizens not to underestimate the impact they can have even in small ways
01:17so many may say i am no millionaire i am no republic bank i am just a plumber what can
01:28i do
01:29well if you could give your plumbing services to a school in your community you make a difference
01:39if you are carpenter and you could make some desks or benches or chairs for a preschool primary school
01:49community center in your area you can make a difference he also urged the students to make the
01:57most of the opportunities being given to them and strive to be the best they can be if it is

02:44To date, more than 1,000 students across Trinidad and Tobago were afforded the gift of sight through the foundation.
