00:02Maybe they're just waiting.
00:04They're waiting to see who's going to come available,
00:06and if somebody comes available that they like, they'll sign them.
00:09Maybe they'll make a trade for somebody on draft day.
00:11I'm not really sure yet.
00:13The one thing I will say, and let me put this in a very respectful way,
00:18I think what they're trying to find is what they once had.
00:22And what they once had was a player who was competent enough,
00:26smart enough, and good enough to keep the team competitive
00:29and win some games with him, and that's Ryan Fitzpatrick.
00:33That's how I see what's going on with the Jets right now.
00:36They're looking for that guy that could be that two-year starter
00:40that could make them competitive offensively.
00:42He may not be a difference maker.
00:44He's not going to run for first downs, whoever this quarterback is going to be,
00:48unless, of course, it's Kyler Murray, but I don't think that's going to happen.
00:51So I think they're trying to find, if I can put it in a perspective
00:56so people can understand, the right guy to be able to handle the offense,
01:02make the right reads 95% of the time, and then just keep the game close
01:08and give them enough offense where this defense has got to get turnovers.
01:14That's the one thing the Jets didn't do last year.
01:16So they brought in guys that I like to think are turnover mavens
01:20that are going to get turnovers on defense.
01:22Now they've got to find the quarterback that they can trust
01:25that is going to keep them in game offensively
01:27and not throw interceptions and incompletions on third down.
