Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh — In a shocking breakthrough, police uncovered a sensational plot behind the murder of a young man in Kamalapur area. The victim’s wife and her lover have been arrested for allegedly planning and executing the killing with a sharp weapon.
According to police, on 25 November around 6 a.m., Manish was on his way to Lakhimpur Kheri to attend his tea shop. His wife Kajal was dropping him to the bus stand on her scooter. Meanwhile, she had already called her lover Ajit and his friend to the Baraikheda turn.
As soon as Manish arrived at the spot, Ajit and the accomplice attacked him with an axe, leaving him critically injured. He was rushed to the Lucknow Trauma Centre, where he died later that night. Kajal initially misled police by refusing to identify the attackers and filing a complaint against unknown persons.
During investigation, police interrogation revealed the truth. Kajal confessed to plotting the murder with her lover. Police recovered the murder weapon, blood-stained clothes, three mobile phones and a scooter. Both accused have been sent to jail.
Kamalapur police and the SOG team solved the blind murder within 48 hours. Police said Kajal had married Manish after the death of his first wife, who was also her elder sister. Despite marriage, Kajal continued her affair with Ajit, leading to frequent disputes at home before the crime was executed.
