00:00That's Jackie now with Rochelle for more tonight's weather forecast.
00:04Thank you, Disha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:07Here's a round down on your weather.
00:09Tonight looks like perfect weather to cozy up in bed
00:12as conditions will be partly cloudy and breezy with showers over a few areas.
00:18And it will be a bit cooler in Trinidad with minimum temperatures of 22 degrees and 24 in Tobago.
00:25And tomorrow we're getting a bit of everything.
00:27According to the Met Office, we can expect generally sunny, hazy and breezy skies
00:33with the likelihood of brisk, isolated showers, so move accordingly.
00:37Maximum temperatures are expected at 32 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago.
00:43You can also expect a relatively mild concentration of Saharan dust in the atmosphere,
00:49which is good news as air quality is slowly starting to improve.
00:54Sensitive persons are still advised to take the necessary precautions.
00:59Moving on now to our two favorite days of the week,
01:02where Friday will be mostly sunny and breezy with a few patches of cloud cover.
01:07Isolated showers are also likely.
01:10Friday's maximum temperatures will be 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago.
01:15But Saturday will not be as bright with partly cloudy and breezy conditions with occasional showers over a few areas.
01:23But it will still be Saturday and that alone is something to smile about.
01:27Maximum temperatures will be 31 degrees in Trinidad and 29 in Tobago.
01:33Let's take a quick look at our sun times now.

02:13In international news, remember when I told you that if a hurricane is especially deadly or costly,
02:19its name is officially retired at the annual meeting of the World Meteorological Organization?
02:25Well, this practice helps prevent confusion in the future and shows sensitivity to the communities affected by the storm.
02:33When a name is retired, it is replaced with a new one that begins with the same letter
02:38and preserves the same gender and cultural, ethnic or regional flavor.
02:43At its latest hurricane committee meeting, the WMO retired the name Melissa from its rotating list
02:50due to the severe death and destruction it caused across the Caribbean in October 2025.
02:56The committee selected Mali as the replacement name.
03:00Well, that's all for weather tonight.
03:02Sachin, what's making sports news tonight?
03:05Hey Rochelle, we have lots to come, including TNT under-20 footballers losing to Costa Rica.
03:11New Zealand destroys South Africa to book spot in the T20 World Cup final.
