00:00It was just so heartbreaking to see a six-week-old puppy in the shelter with
00:05his eye just bulging out. He was found as a stray in a box. We suspected that it
00:12was a dog bite that impacted his eye. I just was tearing up. Who could do such a
00:17thing, you know, leave such a young little puppy? And I immediately knew I wanted to
00:21foster him. When I got home with him I took him out and put him on the floor.
00:28He really warmed up to me a lot. We knew we had to do something with his eye and
00:33one of the vets recommended that we get his eye removed. He came out and he had
00:42a massive scar with stitches and he was still as confident as ever, really.
00:48Want to sit? They're such a good suit, bud. He was like getting the zoomies and I was like,
00:54okay, you need to relax. Just the most sassy guy, especially after losing an eye.
01:04I had a pre-planned trip and I knew Jax still needed the care and everything so
01:09he went to another Fopster and in this time I absolutely cried my eyes out
01:14because I had just grown so attached to him. He got his stitches removed and it
01:18was really heartwarming to see him healed and just really doing well and back to
01:23himself.
01:26I was on my flight back home and I texted a team member being like, I want to adopt
01:31Jax. And the very next day I went and picked him up and he's been mine ever since.
01:37There was something about him, just so much personality, so much confidence in this
01:42little tiny boy that I was like, I just love you so much.
01:52Every day he just wakes up so happy.
