00:00Oh, and by the way, the NBA has got some action today.
00:02Only four games on the docket, Joe.
00:03Boston Celtics are going to take on the Milwaukee Bucks.
00:06The Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers without Joel Embiid.
00:09And Milwaukee, I think they missed like 50 shots in a row in their game.
00:12Got absolutely blown out.
00:13Who knows what Doc is still doing as their head coach.
00:16But tonight, Boston still on the road, Joe.
00:18Favored by seven and a half points with a total of 215 and a half.
00:21The Celtics looking to keep their winning ways going
00:23and try to move up in seeding in the East.
00:25And the Milwaukee Bucks are like, hey, Giannis,
00:27do you still like this team or not?
00:28But Bucks is a heavy favorite.
00:30What's your spread line?
00:30Excuse me, Bucks has a heavy dog.
00:32What's your spread line tonight, Joe?
00:34Both these teams on the second of a back-to-back, Donnie.
00:37And hysterical yesterday watching the Milwaukee Bucks
00:41against the Chicago Bulls score 66 points in the first half, Donnie.
00:48On their way to blowing out the tanking Bulls.
00:51And let me just tell you what happened in the second half.
00:53Just to give you an indication, Milwaukee scored eight points
00:56in the fourth quarter.
00:57Eight points in the fourth quarter for a grand total of 31 in the second half.
01:04I can't see this game getting over 215 and a half points, Donnie.
01:09Boston Celtics, top defensive efficient team here over the last month.
01:14They held Philadelphia to under 100.
01:17They're going to hold the Bucks under 100 in a big way as well this game.
01:21By the way, if you want to think that's a big Bulls win, Joe,
01:23they didn't win in the month of February, the Chicago Bulls.
01:26And they came back with that victory, which is absolutely incredible.
01:29It's the NBA just on full display here.
01:31Let's go out to the West Coast.
01:32The Los Angeles Clippers going to take on the Golden State Warriors.
01:35We have some changing of the guard here with the lines.
01:37Overnight, Joe, a minus one point favorite for the Golden State Warriors.
01:40That's not the case as we wake up today.
01:41It's the Clippers one and a half point favorites across the board.
01:44And a total of 217 and a half.
01:46Steph Curry looks like he's going to be down for at least another five games
01:49for the struggling Golden State Warriors.
01:51What's that spread line tonight, Clippers-Warriors, Joe?
01:53Well, I mean, listen, the Clippers have played their way
01:56into the postseason conversation, right?
01:59They're two and a half games behind the eighth place Golden State Warriors.
02:03So this is a big game here.
02:06And now this month for the Clippers, there's a ton of games,
02:10a ton of back-to-bats like this for the Clippers.
02:13137 to 117, they blew out the Pelicans last night,
02:16which gave, of course, guys like Kawhi and company a chance
02:20to kind of take the second half off here.
02:23Not much redeeming about the Warriors until they can get Steph back here.
02:27It feels like the Clippers will handle business.
02:30But look at that total, Donnie.
02:32207, 207 and a half.
02:34Not a lot of offense tonight.
02:36Three games with big lines.
02:37One game that should be competitive.
02:39It's Clippers and the Warriors.
02:40It's hard to be a big man in the NBA.
02:42Why?
02:42The wear and tear on your body.
02:44And, hey, are you a three-point shooter or not?
02:45You won't be able to play extended minutes in the NBA.
02:48But how about Zach Eady here?
02:49That dude's got a powerful leg body, right?
02:52By the way, when you look at Zach Eady, it feels like he's –
02:55like if he's seven foot tall, let's just say, like 6'10 of that,
02:59he's just his legs.
02:59The other couple inches, just his upper body.
03:01Undergoing ankle surgery, man.
03:03Time to get the surgeries out of the way
03:04if you don't think you're going to be competitive, Joe.
03:06It's the way it is in the NBA.
03:10Yeah.
03:12Yep.
03:14True.
03:30But, again, good luck with John Morant.
03:33I don't know what they're going to do with Morant,
03:35but they better figure that out.
03:37But Zach Eady, that's the future of Memphis.
03:40There you go, Zach Eady.
03:42Again, Yao Ming had some of those foot and knee injuries as well there.
03:44Take a look at ankle injuries for Zach Eady.
03:46Get it fixed up, maybe be healthy for next year
03:48and continue your tank for the rest of the season.
03:50How about Steph Curry and the Warriors here?
03:53In limbo, why?
03:54He's going to miss a few more games here with that knee injury,
03:56as NBC Sports Bay Area is telling us here.
03:59Not good for the Warriors trying to rest him up for the playoffs, I guess.
04:02Yeah, I mean, they said they'll reevaluate him in, what, 10 days here?
04:06It just keeps, every time he tries to do something with it,
04:09they say it just, it's not quite there yet.
04:13But, again, big game tonight against the Clippers,
04:16who are just two and a half games behind the Warriors for that eighth seed there.
04:21You know, anything beyond that, Donnie, then it's that play-in tournament.
04:25So, you know, the sooner they get him back, the better it will be.
04:28So, but, listen, as soon as the NBA gets Steph Curry back on the floor,
04:33the better it will be.
04:34How about this?
04:35Correct me if I'm wrong, Joe.
04:37Have you ever heard this before?
04:38Zion exits with an injury here.
04:40Yep.
04:40115-105 victory over the Jazz.
04:42He leaves early with an ankle injury.
04:44Does that mean his season's over now at this point?
04:47Is that what we can usually gauge?
04:49Listen, I got, I am, I love bashing Zion and his unavailability each area.
04:55But I got to give the guy credit, man.
04:57He has played more games this year, Donnie, than I ever thought he would.
05:03And kudos to him.
05:05I did, it was an ankle injury against Utah a couple of nights ago.
05:09So, it was the second of a back-to-back last night.
05:12I'm not shocked that he didn't play.
05:14But he's been a gamer this year.
05:16And it just goes to show, had he stayed healthy in his career, Donnie,
05:20Zion could have been breaking records that were, the guy is almost unguardable.
05:24It's hilarious if he could stay healthy.
05:28People forget, like, the hype out of high school and when he was at Duke was absolutely incredible.
05:33And if you remember, when the number one ping-pong balls came down in New Orleans,
05:36the celebration in the sales room in the front office that Zion was coming to New Orleans,
05:40and it just hasn't worked out.
05:42Why?
05:42Because he can't stay on the court, and they can't put good enough players around him here.
05:45It's just one of those things that happens here.
05:47How about Jokic?
05:48Near a 35-point triple-double, wasn't even good enough to beat the Timberwolves.
05:51This man stacks stats on the night-to-night basis.
05:54Somebody help him, Joe.
05:5535-13-9-2 and another L.
05:59Yeah, so the interesting thing here with him is that he's already missed 16 games.
06:04I think 18 is the cutoff, Donnie, to be eligible for the MVP.
06:08If he manages not to miss more than two more games here, I'd just hand him the award.
06:15It is absurd what this guy is doing on a nightly basis here.
06:20He is truly unguardable in every aspect there, but he's got to play.
06:26He's got to be eligible to win that award.
06:28Some people are saying, Joe, the advent of the analytics and the three-ball is ruining the NBA game.
06:34Well, put that focus on Charlotte here.
06:36Most three-pointers made since January 1st, 2026.
06:40LaMelo Balls dropped 101.
06:42Brandon Miller, 96.
06:44And rookie sensation Concanipple, 94, Joe.
06:47Do they even take anything outside of three-point shots?
06:50Listen, if you want to know why it is that Charlotte is considered the most dangerous team in the NBA
06:56right now,
06:57that graphic right there tells you.
06:59Because if one of them has an off night, one of the other two, Donnie, is not missing.
07:04It's unbelievable what we're seeing there.
07:07And kudos to Charlotte for actually putting together a product that's actually worth buying tickets and going to see, man.
07:14You've got to root for teams like Charlotte that have been in the dumpster forever here.
07:20And now, all of a sudden, they've got a little energy and are very dangerous, Donnie.
07:25Can't win every game in the NBA, but my goodness, you check out what the Spurs were doing before they
07:30showed up to Madison Square Garden yesterday,
07:32hammering everybody until the Knicks go, enough.
07:35One 14-89 blowout for the New York Knicks at home.
07:39Even the Webanyama, 25 points, 13 boards, and four blocks wasn't enough.
07:43Can't win them all, but the Spurs, still 43-17 on the season.
07:47Well, I mean, when you go the entire month of February without losing, what, 11-game winning streak that got
07:53blown up there?
07:54That's pretty darn impressive.
07:57And they pretty much had everybody.
07:59But, listen, we know the Knicks are capable of that, right?
08:03But the problem is, can they do it consistently here, Donnie?
08:07And can they do it on the road?
08:09That remains to be seen.
08:11How about the Celtics here?
08:12Got their 40th win of the season yesterday to 20 losses by beating the Philadelphia 76ers, 114-98.
08:18No Joel Embiid, but who had Nemesh Kata on their card for dropping 27-17?
08:24And that's Celtics' victory, Joe.
08:27This kid is a force, man.
08:29I mean, no Embiid, though.
08:30He kind of just dominated everything inside the paint in that game last night.
08:36But, once again, you know, Boston's doing it with defense, too, here.
08:41They're cleaning up the boards.
08:42They're making enough threes.
08:44If you can't score 100, you're likely not beating the Celtics.
08:49No, you're certainly not.
08:50And, by the way, still waiting on that.
08:51You know, a lot of people say, okay, Sixers and Celtics are going to be a national televised game.
08:55Does that mean Tatum's coming back?
08:56He seems close at this point to coming back and giving that boost to the Celtics.
09:00Or does it ruin team chemistry?
09:02We'll find out.
09:03And for people like, hey, keep Tatum out for – come on, man.
09:06Tatum's one of the best players in the NBA.
09:07Of course he's going to come back when he's healthy and ready to play.
09:10It'll be interesting to see when that gets done.
09:11Could it be tonight?
09:12I don't know.
09:13Celtics on the road to take on the Milwaukee Bucks.
09:15And I guess we could be on Doc Rivers' watch for the rest of the season because they're probably tanking
09:19their way out.
09:20Maybe they can say Doc's out.
09:22Hey, Giannis, this is a better coach we're going to get on the way in with new players.
09:26Well, tonight there's seven-point dogs, basically seven-and-a-half now, on the line here against the Boston Celtics,
09:31as you pointed out, Joe, to open the show.
09:33These teams are already coming off back-to-backs here.
09:35The Bucks got embarrassed, and they're getting seven-and-a-half at home.
09:39Yeah, I mean, imagine.
09:41Eight points in the fourth quarter is all they could muster offensively.
09:44And the funny part about this game was, Donnie, is that we heard Giannis, you know,
09:49was all of a sudden from, you know, not playing to all of a sudden he was listed as questionable.
09:55And, you know, it was like, okay, Milwaukee has won enough games now to legit have a shot at the
10:01play-in tournament.
10:02And you're going, is Giannis going to make a return?
10:05And then he watched him score eight points in the fourth, and I doubt we're going to see him very
10:09anytime soon after that one.
10:12The question is, who's Doc Rivers blaming for these type of losses here?
10:15Certainly not himself.
10:16Hey, Doc, how about a timeout in the fourth quarter called play?
10:18Get an easy bucket out there.
10:19I guess they couldn't do that here.
10:21Clippers Warriors going to take place tonight, Joe.
10:2310 o'clock on a four-game card in the association.
10:26The favorite this morning is the Los Angeles Clippers over the Golden State Warriors.
10:29And that low total, 2-16-and-a-half.
10:32But as we just told you, Steph Curry probably out for at least five more games.
10:35Not going to be there tonight at home for the Warriors.
10:38Yeah, not good.
10:39And the Clippers, second of a back-to-back.
10:43But because it was such a blowout game, you know, they were able to rest Kawhi.
10:48They're in the second half.
10:50And to me, it's all about, you just got to manage Kawhi with this crazy schedule coming up in the
10:54month of March.
10:56Because when he's on the court, we all know, Donnie, that's a different Clippers team.
11:00Mithurn has been fantastic.
11:02Some of the pieces that they brought in, I think they can make a legit run here and sneak in.
11:08And especially considering where they were at in the first couple months to where they are now.
11:14That's a huge turnaround for the Clippers.
11:16By the way, yesterday, Brooklyn hung around against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
11:20The Cavs still picked up the win, Joe, 106-102.
11:22But James Harden, with a broken thumb, still played in that game.
11:2536 minutes, 22 points, 4 of 7 from 3-point range, 9 rebounds, 8 assists.
11:31That's pretty incredible at that point, having a broken thumb getting out there.
11:34I didn't even see anything covering his thumb like it was any soft cast or anything.
11:40Listen, there is a version of James Harden that would have used that to an excuse.
11:44And we would have never seen him again.
11:46So the fact that he showed up and played and was able to help them get past avoiding an embarrassing
11:53loss,
11:54that's pretty impressive.
11:55The under there.
11:57Donnie, right side, is going to the NBA.
12:00And I can't believe it.
12:01He's going to go with the Milwaukee Bucks here tonight.
12:05And I get why he's going to go with the Milwaukee Bucks.
12:08Because nobody wants the Milwaukee Bucks, which is why Donnie wants them.
12:13All right, we've got more coming your way here on the Sports Grid Network.
12:18A little Prediction Markets Edge next on the grid.
12:21Prediction Markets Edge right here on the early line.
12:24It is a Monday, Joe, getting the people excited about what?
12:26Of course, we're going to be talking college basketball, which we just did,
12:29but also switching over to the pro game in the NBA.
12:32Donnie right side and Joe Ranieri.
12:33Let's get it started, Joe.
12:34Pro basketball's best record in the league listed right here on Cal She.
12:38No surprise.
12:39It's OKC, Joe.
12:40They're trading at a 66% chance right now, followed by Detroit at 25%.
12:45And don't look now.
12:47The team listed third, the San Antonio Spurs.
12:49Got beat yesterday by the New York Knicks, but they're listed at a 12% chance, Joe.
12:54OKC, Detroit, San Antonio, the favorites here.
12:56Who are we thinking out of those three?
12:58And also, maybe a contract point that you like.
13:01Well, I would much prefer to invest in a team in the East, Donnie,
13:07as opposed to the West, right?
13:09Because it feels like San Antonio and Oklahoma City.
13:13And there's going to be a little divide.
13:16Houston, you can't sleep on.
13:17Minnesota, Denver.
13:18It just feels like there's a lot more room for variance in the West than there is the East.
13:24I mean, Detroit at this point, to be 45 and 14, Boston is your next best, and they are clear
13:31by six games in a loss column.
13:34It feels like it's Detroit who would – it's theirs to lose in this market.
13:40It really is.
13:41I think Detroit is ultimately going to end up with the best record in the NBA.
13:47And you know the market and the public is going to love themselves from OKC in this spot.
13:52No doubt about it, Joe.
13:53And by the way, you can take a look at the evolution of where OKC was.
13:56Remember when we started the season, like, hey, they might be able to break the all-time wins record for
14:00the regular season.
14:00They were trading at 89% back on November the 15th.
14:04If we cross, you know, convert that over with Detroit, Detroit is only 9%.
14:08So today, as we said, OKC, still the favorite, Joe, 66%.
14:12But Detroit also coming in now at 25%.
14:15So, of course, things change over time.
14:17We'll certainly keep the people updated on those.
14:19But how about this market, Joe?
14:20Poly market, the NBA's worst record here.
14:23Leader in the clubhouse by a mile.
14:2661%, Joe.
14:27It's those Sacramento Kings, followed by the Wizards, Pacers, Nets, and the Grizzlies here.
14:32The Kings doing a heck of a job tanking up the season this year.
14:36They are fantastic.
14:37But there's a few of them, Donnie, at the bottom of the barrel here.
14:40I mean, and it's a race.
14:42I know.
14:43I mean, that chart is just, that tells you everything you need to know.
14:47But quite honestly, I mean, Utah's got 18, right?
14:50You got Sacramento sitting there with 14 wins.
14:53But can we sleep on Indiana's playing nobody?
14:57Brooklyn, even though they almost beat the Cavs last night, want nothing to do with winning games.
15:02And how do you not fade Washington also?
15:05So this is a tricky market.
15:07I think this is one of those markets, Donnie, where you could pick maybe your two favorites and look to
15:14profit before it's all said and done.
15:15Because neither of those teams are going to be winning many more games here down the stretch.
15:20Now, can we go back to February 6th here?
15:22The Washington Wizards were trading at 34%.
15:24The Kings at only 29.9.
15:26The Pacers, 24.
15:27And the Brooklyn Nets at 23.
15:29Then fast forward here to the early stages of March.
15:31The Sacramento Kings certainly running away with this.
15:34So go from the bottom of the ladder to the teams that we think are going to peak for an
15:37NBA championship here.
15:39We go over to Kalshi, the Eastern Conference champion.
15:43It's Cleveland at 26%.
15:44It's Boston trading at 25%.
15:46It's Detroit at 22%.
15:48And then the New York Knicks at 16%.
15:51We're tight up top here.
15:53And James Harden, by the way, you might have thought he could be down for multiple weeks.
15:56He's already back in playing, as we told you, as they beat the Brooklyn Nets by four points here.
16:00And he had a solid game.
16:01But right now, Joe, as it sits, Cleveland the favorite on the Kalshi market to be the Eastern Conference champion.
16:08Yeah, I don't know about that.
16:10I really don't.
16:12They have been atrocious all year against the spread.
16:16They've lost to teams they should never lose to.
16:18It's been up and down for the Cavs.
16:21I don't like the injury at this point in the season already.
16:24We're still dealing with a hamstring injury.
16:27And others there on the Cavs, not to mention a broken thumb.
16:31Listen, New York, to me, has a lot of value.
16:34Because New York, I think, is we all expect them to be competitive.
16:38But nobody really thinks the New York Knicks are going to run the table.
16:42Well, I do.
16:43I think the Knicks have a ton of value right now to be able to be that team representing the
16:48East when it comes to the NBA Finals.
16:51And as Joe points out many times, and rightfully so, you don't have to actually win the East.
16:55If you take out a contract for the Knicks at 16% and they find themselves in the Eastern Conference
16:59Finals, you're going to be able to get that profit here without even seeing the Knicks actually win the Eastern
17:04Conference and make it to the NBA Finals.
17:06But as we take a look back, how about we go back to November the 17th here?
17:10Cleveland was trading at a 30% clip.
17:12Boston at 5%.
17:13And as we told you, Boston now sits at 25%.
17:16And also understand this.
17:18Jason Tatum probably on the cusp of returning as well.
17:21Something that maybe we didn't think to start the season.
17:23And also understand this.
17:24Boston wasn't one of those teams you were thinking entering into the season.
17:27They were going to do anything in the Eastern Conference.
17:28Almost a throwaway season.
17:30And yet now, Joe, only 1% behind Cleveland, which is pretty incredible.
17:35It's been a miraculous turnaround, to say the least, right?
17:39And yeah, there are – I think the biggest surprises, Donnie, are going to come from the Eastern side here.
17:48Did anybody have Indiana last year?
17:51No, I didn't think so.
17:52So it can happen without a doubt here.
17:56But I do believe, once again, ultimately Detroit kind of holds a lot of the cards here.
18:01And they got to decide what kind of team they are when it matters the most.
18:06I think there's some value.
18:07Just pick the two teams you think are going to compete in the semifinals.
18:10And you got yourself – you got yourself a profit.
18:14And by the way, Western Conference champions will move on as well,
18:17which may be a little bit easier to try to predict here than the Eastern Conference.
18:21Because OKC is the favorite, trading at 50% right now, followed by Denver at 17%.
18:26And identical, the San Antonio Spurs also at 17%.
18:30Minnesota, Houston, the Lakers, and Golden State rallied out.
18:33But it seems like, Joe, the champions from last year, OKC, getting a lot of those contracts taking out right
18:39now.
18:39Let's see at 50%.
18:42Yeah, they are – without a doubt, right?
18:44And it probably would have been higher if the injury bug didn't hit OKC, if Jalen Williams hasn't been hurt
18:50for what feels like forever, right?
18:53If SGA didn't miss all those games there.
18:56The problem is, if they're hurt already, you know what that – you know what happens, Donnie.
19:02The chance of maybe one or two of those guys not being available at all could throw a wrench into
19:07this thing.
19:08But the one team that has shown us that they can actually beat OKC on a consistent basis, San Antonio,
19:15might be worth a stab here.
19:18Yeah, San Antonio, $100 investment here to win the Western Conference, Joe, that'll pay back $527.
19:24And also understand this, OKC, back on December 14th, Joe, was trading at an all-time high here on Calci
19:31at close to 66%.
19:32So they're back to 50% here, not invincible on a night-to-night basis, which we thought they were
19:37going to be in the month of November.
19:38But it's interesting also, people can't quit on Denver, Joe.
19:41But I know when you talk about Denver, it's always about the defense.
19:44And they just ain't good enough on defense right now.
19:47Well, they are the dark horse simply because they will get Aaron Gordon back.
19:53And when they do, they are a completely different team offensively and defensively.
19:59That might be worth a play for sure.
