00:00Spreadlines here on a Monday, getting your week started in style.
00:04Some big games to cover and some playoff action to go over.
00:07Let's get it started here in Cleveland, Rock City.
00:10Get it ready to go. Why? You're going to need it.
00:12You're going to need those fans.
00:13It's 2-1 series right now in favor of those Detroit Pistons here.
00:18And tonight, tip-off at 8 o'clock.
00:19The Pistons in town to take on the Cavaliers.
00:21This line opened, Joe, minus 3.5.
00:24You see that graphic? Still sitting at 3.5.
00:27And a total, which is around 2.12.5.
00:29Most outlets have moved up to 2.13 and 2.13.5 live right now.
00:34Cavaliers looking for a win on their home court here.
00:362-1 series lead, Joe.
00:39I need a spread line for this game tonight.
00:41Yeah, it's kind of great, too, because it's seen a total.
00:432.11 as an open, Donnie.
00:45We're seeing 2.13, 2.13.5.
00:47So the total's getting bet up.
00:49And I understand that because oftentimes with Cleveland, especially playing at home,
00:54we have seen they're better offensively at home than they are on the road.
00:58The problem here, Donnie, is the market is not buying Cleveland going back-to-back
01:04with James Harden bailing them out late, right?
01:06Don't forget for his—this game was—Cleveland was losing that last game
01:12with under five minutes to go in the game.
01:15And Detroit, unfortunately, couldn't close it out.
01:18They couldn't get a big bucket.
01:19But Harden finally showed up.
01:21But that doesn't mean you're going to need another 35-plus from Donovan Mitchell.
01:25I still don't know where Jaron Allen is in this series.
01:28There is still a lot of congrats.
01:31You know, you didn't go down 3-0.
01:33But I don't blame the market for being hesitant on just running to the window
01:37to back Cleveland because they're home.
01:40They're a very inconsistent team.
01:42The one thing we know, Detroit, I think, can learn a little something there
01:45from that loss.
01:46I like the dog here tonight, Donnie.
01:49I'd be shocked if this number doesn't creep back down here a little bit.
01:53Are we getting a sweep out there in Tinseltown tonight?
01:56Why?
01:56The Oklahoma City Thunder.
01:57Look at the closeout.
01:58The Lakers in a sweep.
02:00Now, this game opened up as a 10-and-a-half-point spread.
02:03It still sits at 10-and-a-half this morning and a total of 214-and-a-half.
02:07And by the way, we talked about some NBA action over the weekend, Joe,
02:10on this show on Friday.
02:11I loved the spot that the Los Angeles Lakers were in on Saturday night.
02:16I loved the fact that we had controversy in the refereeing, which meant that,
02:19hey, we don't want to go completely one side.
02:21Let's even it out for the Los Angeles Lakers.
02:23And the Lakers got hammered.
02:26131-108.
02:27Maybe you thought yesterday the Sixers would have a last stand at home.
02:30They completely rolled over.
02:32The public is expecting a blowout tonight, Joe.
02:35What's your spread line between the Thunder and the Lakers?
02:38Well, you know, Donny, I was like you on Saturday, only I cut the game in half
02:43because I figured if we were ever going to get anything, it was going to be early.
02:47And sure enough, the Lakers took the lead into the brig.
02:52Boy, did that go hard left after that in the second half.
02:55And, Donny, I don't—what have we seen?
02:58Just much like you mentioned the Sixers and Knicks,
03:01what did we see to think that the Sixers were somehow on the same level as the Knicks?
03:06They weren't.
03:07What have we seen to believe that the Lakers are on the same level as—
03:11they're not.
03:12And OKC has been there and done this, much like the Knicks.
03:15I think there's a lot of parallels.
03:17I think this number is going to continue to rise, lock it in while you can,
03:21because ultimately, I think it's going to get ugly in the second half,
03:25much like the Knicks game did against Philly yesterday.
03:28Would not shock me if this has got blowout written all over it.
03:32You know, Joe, for years in Philadelphia,
03:33our favorite night here was not the Philadelphia 76ers playing an actual basketball game.
03:38It was ping-pong night.
03:39We were trusting the process where we would be bad for three to four years
03:42with unwatchable basketball,
03:44but we would watch the ping-pong balls and then the draft.
03:47That was our championship and our Larry O'Brien trophy.
03:50Now, it's no fun anymore because the Sixers are getting knocked around,
03:52and we'll talk about it in just a little bit.
03:54But if you are a Pacers fan,
03:56there's so many things that you can tell your fan base, Joe.
03:59One of those is, hey, guys, understand this.
04:01We were great.
04:02Then we got injured.
04:03We're going to take a gap year, as we like to say, for the Celtics.
04:06And then we're going to get a high draft pick,
04:08get healthy again, spend some money, and we'll be right back in it.
04:11But the one thing you can't explain to your fans is,
04:13now, hold on.
04:14If the plan was to be really bad,
04:15let's get excited for the ping-pong balls and get a high draft pick.
04:18The Pacers, woo, top five pick.
04:21Oh, no.
04:21It goes to the Clippers because you decided to make a trade with the Clippers
04:25and get Zubach back.
04:26This is a failure of epic proportions,
04:28where if you are in management or an owner, you can't do that.
04:32If you have a terrible season and gain nothing from it,
04:36that's a you problem.
04:37And, Joe, they did it to themselves.
04:40They really did.
04:42I mean, but listen, I don't think all is done with the Pacers.
04:47I mean, don't get me wrong.
04:47They're going to bring back everybody healthy.
04:49Nem hard.
04:51Halliburton will be back.
04:52They still got Siakam.
04:53Now they actually have a center,
04:56which they did not have prior to that trade.
04:59But ultimately, Donnie, what it cost them was,
05:02you know, in order to get a 29-year-old center
05:05with a history of injuries like they got in Zubach,
05:09they had to give up a top five pick,
05:11and that's exactly what happened there.
05:13But the math, the idea that this was always going to be somehow
05:17in their favor,
05:18they had a 52% chance of it landing in the top four
05:22and a 48% chance of it not.
05:25So, you know, it was a coin flip,
05:28but they were willing to make that risk when they made the trade.
05:32The fact that they apologized for it is laughable.
05:36The math is not mathing.
05:38Like, you knew this was a coin flip,
05:40that this is likely going to happen,
05:42and you put out an apology to the fans?
05:45Unbelievable.
05:47Washington, the big winner there.
05:48Number one overall pick.
05:50The ping pong balls went their way.
05:51A.J. DiBanza is a minus 500
05:54to be the number one overall pick,
05:56which means he will be a Washington Wizard.
05:59By the way, let's hear from A.J. DiBanza right now, Joe.
06:02All right.
06:03A.J., what was your reaction
06:04when the Wizards got the number one pick?
06:07Um, you know, obviously I've been better on myself
06:10for a little while to be a number one pick.
06:12So initially just thinking, like, you know,
06:15how I would fit it to the team.
06:16I think I'm pretty versatile, adaptable,
06:19so I think I can play with any worse.
06:21It's very tense in this room.
06:24This is probably your first experience doing this.
06:26What was it like sitting there waiting for the news?
06:29Me, confidently, I wasn't really worried about 14-3.
06:33So I was kind of setting it play out.
06:35You know, when all the guys sat there for the top of a while,
06:37I was like, all right, yeah, it's kind of getting real.
06:39See what I'm going to have more pick with anything.
06:41What do you know about the city of Washington
06:43and what it would be like to potentially live in?
06:47Yeah, so, I mean, I know a little bit.
06:51Jordan Brent Classical was there last year.
06:53I also got to tour their facility a little bit.
06:56I know a couple of the players.
06:57Trey Johnson played against the Natalie.
07:00Who else on the team?
07:01I mean, I've been watching AED for a long, long time.
07:03Trey Young, and even when he's at Oklahoma.
07:06So I know a couple of guys here.
07:08I know you had an interaction with John Wall on Amazon Prime, right?
07:13What does it mean to you to follow in his footsteps
07:15and have him on the stage when they got the number one pick?
07:18No, it's cool.
07:18Yeah, I've been knowing John for since my EYBO days.
07:21He came to one of my sessions and was trying to give me some advice.
07:23I really appreciate it.
07:32I mean, it's been tiring.
07:34I've been working constantly, putting a lot of weight,
07:36getting a lot of shots up, tired wrists, tired arms.
07:39But it's been good.
07:40I'm ready for it.
07:45Joe, where did he want to go there?
07:46Because apparently when they asked him,
07:48hey, man, Washington got that number one pick,
07:50he's like, ooh, tough scene.
07:53Yeah.
07:53Yeah.
07:54Well, I love the fact that they had Luther playing in the background there
07:57the entire time during that interview.
07:58It would be outstanding stuff there.
08:00But also, who knew John Wall would be the rabbit's foot there
08:04for the Washington Wizards?
08:06Who, and by the way, they have lost enough games over the last five years
08:11to deserve the number one pick for five years out of the last, what,
08:16six or seven?
08:17But they always somehow managed to lose out to teams like Dallas,
08:21with a lower percentage, gets the number one pick.
08:25Should have been Washington.
08:26They got a whole lot of number two picks,
08:28but they finally got a number one pick.
08:30And, Donnie, what is maybe the most loaded franchise-changing draft
08:36that we have seen in a very long time coming out of college?
08:39And the Wizards and John Wall pulled it off.
08:42So, kudos.
08:43I think they're going to be pretty competitive moving forward.
08:46By the way, like, again, in a relevant franchise,
08:48it feels like 50 years here.
08:50Like, it's a big market here.
08:51They deserve a good basketball team.
08:52They like basketball in that D.C. area.
08:55Maybe now they have a team that they can get behind
08:56and certainly cheer on.
08:57We'll see if that makes some sense.
08:59Talking about getting behind and cheering on,
09:01certainly not those Philadelphia 76ers hammered against the New York Knicks.
09:05Didn't even put up a fight here, Joe, feels like,
09:07in games three and games four.
09:08So, we take a look at that final score.
09:10It was a hammer job.
09:11And then we get over to this.
09:13Here's Mr. Maxey talking about 76ers fans.
09:16Tyrese, can you describe what it was like playing again against the Knicks here
09:20where their fans come down here and kind of take over your home arena?
09:23Do you use it as fuel going forward anyway?
09:26Yeah, it absolutely sucks if I'm being honest.
09:27It just sucks, bro.
09:28It just sucks, man.
09:29And, yeah, it just sucks.
09:33That's really all I can say about it, man.
09:35Like, I just – it's hard.
09:37It's definitely difficult.
09:38You know what I'm saying?
09:39And it's only one way to put a stop to it,
09:42and it's we have to go out there and win these games.
09:45Like, we – just being completely honest,
09:48we were better when we played them in the garden this entire season.
09:51Like, I know we lost game two and won,
09:53but, like, game two was better.
09:55Regular season was better.
09:56Here we was – you know, I was telling them it just felt –
09:59it felt louder here for them than it did in the garden.
10:02And it's like – well, we got to put a stop to it as a team.
10:06Like, winning these games, that's what's going to make, you know,
10:09our fans, like, louder than theirs or whatever.
10:11I don't know how to keep them out.
10:14I don't know the logistics of it.
10:15But, you know, it does suck.
10:17I can't even lie.
10:18It definitely does suck.
10:20Like, it's not about keeping them out because, like,
10:23New York Knicks fans are passionate.
10:24It's close.
10:24It's easier to get a ticket in Philadelphia than it is in Madison Square Garden.
10:27We get all that.
10:28But you know what changes this whole dynamic, Joe?
10:30Win a game in Madison Square Garden.
10:31Come home 1-1.
10:32Fans will be excited.
10:34Win game number three, and Philadelphia fans will storm into that arena
10:38for game number four and take it over and laugh at the Knicks fans
10:41as they leave down 3-1 back to New York.
10:43You can't fault Philadelphia 76ers fans who their ownership group told them,
10:48We're not going to help you out, so good luck with everything.
10:51Which means if I have a ticket and I'm a season ticket holder
10:54or I bought tickets to Sunday's game before the actual series started
10:58and let's just say I spent $500 on those tickets
11:00and all of a sudden I can get $1,500 for those tickets
11:03not to show up and sell them in a game that's going to be meaningless for the Sixers,
11:07I'm doing it, Joe, every single time.
11:11Sorry, Sixers.
11:13Donnie, we did a caffeinated Joe segment last week on what are you doing, Sixers.
11:19The first thing you did after beating the Celtics in seven
11:23was sent Embiid to the podium to tell everybody,
11:27please hold on to your tickets.
11:29And then you went out in game one and lost by 50 points.
11:32What did you think was going to happen?
11:35What did you show your Sixer fans, Sixer Nation, that you had a prayer against?
11:41Nobody is spending, if I can get $1,000 for my tickets
11:44instead of watching you lose by 30, I'm selling those tickets, Donnie.
11:49It's 100%.
11:50Also, when you take a look at other sports, it's hard to compare
11:53because, again, Knicks fans are so close.
11:55There's a lot of Knicks fans in New Jersey.
11:56You get that.
11:57But the understanding of when a team has excitement built around them
12:01and the expectations grow, fans get even more excited.
12:05Eagles tickets, Phillies tickets, Flyers tickets, you get that.
12:08But when you have an organization that is running it back,
12:11things get old and boring.
12:12This isn't Joe where it's like, hey, the Sixers finally made the playoffs here.
12:15Let's see what they do.
12:16Every single year, they never get past the second round.
12:19And once again, coming to your own building down 0-2,
12:22you're selling your tickets.
12:24Come back 1-1.
12:25Oh, you know what?
12:25That's going to be a fun game to watch game three.
12:27The minute they lost game number three,
12:29every Sixers fan sold their tickets,
12:31and the Knicks fans are coming down on the weekend for an absolute party.
12:34That's just what happens here.
12:35It's not bad fans, and the Sixers aren't a basketball city.
12:38It's common denominator, and it's economics that say,
12:41why am I putting up with this when the Sixers' ownership already told us
12:46we're not going to go all in at this point?
12:48It's what it is.
12:48They sold their tickets, they made money, the Knicks are moving on,
12:51and we will be right back.
12:52Come on now.
12:53It's a Monday party, people.
12:54I know Friday, Saturday, Sunday, so much more.
12:56And get your week started here on a Monday with us today.
12:59Look, you rise, you grind, you have a cup of coffee, you have some fun,
13:02and we bring in the guests for your entertainment only.
13:05DRS right here, Joe Ranieri and Kevin Walsh.
13:08Did you guys know Kevin Walsh got LASIK surgery?
13:10Congratulations, Kevin.
13:12No.
13:12Now you can see.
13:12Come on now.
13:13Look at him, LASIK.
13:14No, no, no.
13:14He had to get LASIK.
13:15No, no, no.
13:15Glasses.
13:16Who is this guy?
13:18Just no glasses this morning.
13:19That's all.
13:20It's an early morning, but we're here.
13:22We're ready to rock just without the glasses.
13:24I can see well enough, so we're here.
13:27We're moving.
13:29All right.
13:29Here's what I got questions for you, Kevin, because we talked on Friday.
13:31I told you.
13:32And I'm glad we don't do a show on Saturday.
13:34I loved the Los Angeles Lakers with the points on Saturday night.
13:40And as Joe Ranieri pointed out, I was like, hey, man,
13:41should have just taken them in the first half.
13:43They fell asleep in the second half.
13:44This series is just about over.
13:46But now we have one more game left.
13:48And I don't want to say, you know, hey, look at the way the Sixers ended up.
13:51It was over.
13:51They're like, dude, I'm not traveling back to another arena.
13:54Let's just get it over with tonight.
13:56I have the Lakers in this game with double digits, Kevin.
13:59Can we get one last stand from the Lakers?
14:01Or how many players does OKC have that just come up on a night-to-night basis?
14:06Like, uncle, you scream out here.
14:09Yeah, I don't disagree with, to me, it would be Lakers or pass.
14:14The fact that through three games, most people would be like, you know,
14:19Lakers have played pretty well this series.
14:21It's like, really?
14:23And their own three against the number with it all being nearly double-digit spreads?
14:27And I'm not disagreeing with people.
14:28But there is something.
14:31I don't even know what it is.
14:33It's just like these slow body blows to spread bettors.
14:38That it's like, it's four.
14:40And then it's eight.
14:42And now it's 12.
14:44And then just, boom, it's 20.
14:46And it's like, I don't understand.
14:47Like, it was just, it was just right there.
14:50It evaporates quickly.
14:52It wouldn't surprise me if, here's the thing.
14:56If the Lakers are up at half, you know what that'll be?
14:59The third straight game, it happens.
15:01So, like, what does the score have to be for you to be confident you're going to cover this 10
15:08and a half?
15:08The Lakers have to be up 10, middle, fourth quarter?
15:13The other interesting thing is the fact that SGA still hasn't had an SGA game yet this series.
15:19But in order for him to really have one, it probably has to be competitive throughout.
15:25He's not going to have that 30-point performance with only playing three quarters the way the Lakers are guarding
15:31him.
15:33All right, Kyle, I've got to say, you and I have laid it out for James Harden.
15:38But he did finally show up for a game and in an important spot there.
15:43But I don't, you know, I'm still looking at this Cavs team, and I know they've been great at home.
15:49But they were still trailing under five minutes to go in that game.
15:53And it feels like Detroit has got a good opportunity of going back up three games to one.
16:00What do you think we get here tonight?
16:02Yeah, I would agree with you.
16:04I think Detroit is better than Cleveland.
16:07I think we've seen the Pistons really settle into the postseason, if you will.
16:13I think guys, you know, like Tobias Harris have kind of now, like, yeah, I am going to be a
16:1920-point-per-game guy.
16:21Like, that's just what it is.
16:23He's really found that rhythm.
16:24I don't really think there's a body that Cleveland can seemingly throw at him to get him off rhythm.
16:31Sir Thompson's been contributing.
16:32Obviously, everybody knows the Cade Cunningham stuff.
16:34The thing that I remain completely fascinated in is the Jalen Duren postseason.
16:40I thought the 15-15 in Game 7 against Orlando was going to perhaps, you know, kind of catapult him
16:47into this series where he could have some big performances.
16:51I understand Jalen Duren isn't like a front-page superstar, but again, Jalen Duren is going to make All-NBA
16:59this year, okay?
17:00There are only 15 guys that make it, and he's going to be one of them.
17:03He averaged 20-11 in the regular season, and he is averaging 10-9 on under 50% shooting.
17:16I do not understand what is going on with Jalen Duren in these playoffs.
17:22We're 10 games in to Piston playoff basketball, and he's been about their sixth best player.
17:27Yeah, good stuff here coming out, and also Victor Webb and Yama getting tossed from the game last night.
17:31We've got a series now in Minnesota, some fun things to watch.
17:34The New York Knicks advance after hammering the Philadelphia 76ers.
17:37I actually hope it is Detroit, because I think it's a pretty intriguing matchup between Detroit and the New York
17:41Knicks.
17:41It'd be great for TV, and then, again, still rooting for the San Antonio Spurs,
17:45because I would like to see the Spurs and OKC in that Western Conference final.
17:49Then away you go to decide who is going to win the championship, Kevin.
17:52But as we know, the NFL moves everything around when they want to have some of their time.
17:56So they know the schedule's coming out this week.
17:58They give us a leak this morning, Kevin.
18:00It's the Cowboys, and this is the Giants week number one.
18:03This game will be played at MetLife.
18:05And I say to myself, how much more misery do the Giants want?
18:08You go back to the records, Kevin.
18:1011-1 are the Dallas Cowboys when they play the Giants week number one.
18:14And just to add insult to injury, we sat, Kevin, in Atlantic City in the sportsbook at the Ocean.
18:20Game number one is like, you know, this is going to be a public fade out here.
18:22I'll take the Giants against, I think almost like 30 to nothing on that week one show for my best
18:26bet of the week.
18:27How do we feel moving forward with the schedule coming out?
18:30And also, we're right around the corner with an NFL season already, and it only ramps up now.
18:36So the immediate reaction is, boy, everybody better be right that Harbaugh is going to make the Giants good.
18:44Because we're going to get a lot of Giants primetime games.
18:49And I'm not so sure they're going to be all that good.
18:52I just would like to circle back to what Giants fans said when they hired Harbaugh, which is, no, no,
18:58no.
18:58We don't think we're going to win 11-12 games.
19:01We just want to be confident.
19:02We just want to be 500.
19:04No, no, no, no, no.
19:05And by the time we get to that, it seems like, yeah, Giants could win NFC.
19:09So what do you mean, Giants?
19:09We got Harbaugh.
19:11Jackson, we're going to win NFC.
19:13Okay, all right.
19:13So that's where we're headed with that.
19:15As far as the NFL schedule release, I mean, I still don't understand when the NFL season begins.
19:23On a Wednesday, but like a week and a half later than usual, there's no Friday game, Thursday game.
19:32Here's the thing.
19:33A couple of years back, understandably, DRS would kind of poke fun at how, ha-ha, the NFL took over
19:42Christmas because they could.
19:44And I was like, listen, yes, obviously, as an NBA guy, I'm annoyed by that.
19:48But also, this isn't good.
19:50It's too much.
19:52And by the end of this season, everyone will agree with me.
19:55The NFL, who could, everyone be like, more NFL, more NFL.
19:59By the end of this NFL season, people are like, is this thing over yet?
20:02Is this over yet?
20:03Because I've had enough of the NFL.
20:05It's way too much.
20:07I mean, Liv, you're doing a weekly show with Joe Lisa.
20:09Yeah, when is this season over, people?
20:12I mean, that's what we say around here at this point.
20:13And thanks, Kevin, for joining us today.
20:15Game time decisions tonight, 6 p.m.
20:17He's going to catch it.
20:18For me, this is one of those games where it's late night tonight.
20:21It starts at 1030.
20:22I won't be up, and thank goodness I'm not.
20:24Because this is one of those bet it, forget it, and hope you win.
20:27Why?
20:27Because I'm taking the Los Angeles Lakers tonight, getting 10.5 points.
20:31Only around 23% of the tickets coming in directly on those Los Angeles Lakers.
20:36Line open up at 10.5, still sits at 10.5.
20:38It's been a runaway for the Thunder here.
20:40And maybe you should take them in the first quarter, the first half, just to see if the
20:44Lakers have a pulse.
20:45This could be a blowout, like we saw yesterday from the Knicks against the Philadelphia 76ers.
20:49They're like, hey, I don't want to get back on a train and go to New York City.
20:51And maybe the Lakers don't want to get back on a plane to go back to OKC.
20:55But I got a public fade today, Joe.
20:58I'm taking the Lakers with the 10.5.
21:00One last stand.
21:01How about 109-103, loss for the Lakers, and everybody goes home happy?
21:08I think that's a possibility here, but they're going to have to play four quarters, Donnie.
21:13Something we have not seen them do yet.
21:16By the way, where's Luka?
21:17I thought he was coming back game one of the first round series here.
21:20Still not back at this point.
21:22But we'll be back via me on deck next, right here.
21:27Prediction Markets, as you on the Orlando, on a Monday, no better place to be.
21:31Start your week with us at Sonny Wrightside.
21:33And it's Joe Ranieri and the topics that keep on flowing.
21:37Big game atmospheres this week.
21:38And also, a different way to approach and investing your money here.
21:42Joe, you've got the PGA Championship this week.
21:44Again, you've got Major League Baseball today.
21:46Short schedule, but Joe has a best bet there.
21:48NBA action doubleheader.
21:50I have a best bet.
21:51And also, there is a hockey game tonight.
21:53The Colorado Avalanche with a new goalie.
21:54Could that spur them to another victory?
21:57Or do we see that series go back to Colorado all tied up?
22:01A lot of topics to get to.
22:02A lot of fun, Joe, to be had here.
22:05Ton of fun to get had here, Donnie.
22:08Because we've got a lot going on and a lot to be excited about this week.
22:12And it won't be long before the prediction markets
22:15and maybe some of those NFL win total markets start to come into play here.
22:21How about that?
22:22Let's get it started.
22:23And by the way, NFL schedule released this week.
22:26We'll get some of those games and maybe talk about those a little bit later this week.
22:29But before we get there, let's get to the NBA tonight.
22:32Last time we saw the Detroit Pistons and the Cavaliers,
22:35it was a victory by the Cavaliers on their home court to make that series 2-1.
22:40Still in the favor of the Detroit Pistons.
22:42But tonight, the Cavaliers have a chance that they pull off a minor upset to actually say,
22:46you know what?
22:47I think we're going to send this bad boy back to Detroit 2-2.
22:50But if we look, Joe, you would say to yourself, is it really an upset at this point?
22:54No.
22:55Because the favorite team is actually the Cavaliers tonight.
22:57Trading on Couchy had a 59% chance to win this game.
23:01Yes, contract sits at 60 cents,
23:04which means a $100 investment would pay back $167 for Cleveland to win tonight.
23:09If they do, Joe, 2-2, back to Motown.
23:13Yeah, well, I mean, listen, historically, Donnie, in this spot here,
23:17where you got a home team down two games to one, and they are a favorite,
23:22I think they've actually won and covered at about a 57-58% clip here.
23:28So, yes, history tells us that the Cavs are the right side here.
23:34The problem is my eyeballs tell me this team can't be trusted.
23:38And it's James Harden, and we all know this.
23:40And while, yes, don't forget, James Harden won and was huge down the stretch for them in Game 3,
23:47but he was absolutely nowhere to be found in Game 1 and 2.
23:51And expecting him to have back-to-back games is not something I'd be willing to roll the dice on.
23:57I think maybe the better play here, Donnie, quite honestly,
24:00is if the Cavs don't play better defense, they're not winning this game here.
24:05I think the under is the better way to go.
24:08The market keeps pushing this thing up.
24:10I need to see a Cavs defensive effort here that limits Detroit tonight.
24:15And if they do, I think this thing is going to be much lower scoring.
24:20James Harden in Game 3, Joe, scored 19 points.
24:23If you think he can get one more point tonight,
24:25maybe another victory for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
24:28You got over to Calci.
24:2920-plus points is currently trading at 48 cents to the yes.
24:32That's a $100 investment that pays back $209 here.
24:37Not tonight.
24:38I told you.
24:38I like those Los Angeles Lakers out of the West Coast getting 10.5 points.
24:42In one of those games where it's like, bet it and forget it.
24:44Wake up in the morning and pray that you got the cover.
24:47Oklahoma City, Joe, to win this game outright on Calci is trading at 82 cents for that yes,
24:54which means a $100 investment only pays back $122.
24:58If you feel that the Lakers can win this game outright, you don't need the points.
25:02A $100 investment pays back $527.
25:06It's 3-0 Thunder, 4-0, which means the series is over.
25:10And on the OKC Thunder, go to the Western Conference Finals on a chance to go back-to-back.
25:16Do the Lakers, Joe, put up a last stand, or is it just too much and too deep OKC?
25:22Well, I'm going to go back to the well here, Donnie.
25:24We've talked about this because I don't believe that if they don't, if they're not in it early,
25:31they're not going to be in it late, and they have certainly been in it early.
25:35I think in this series, Donnie, they're only minus five point differential in the first half.
25:41But like we talked to Kev earlier that they're getting blown.
25:45They're not covering any games.
25:46They're double-digit dogs, and they're getting blown out.
25:48But that happens in the second half.
25:51So I do think we are going to have a lower-scoring game early in the first half,
25:56and I do think the Lakers might very well just win that first half.
26:01I'd look to back them again early in this game tonight.
26:04Let's get to some series-winning predictions here on Calci.
26:08Minnesota, who is the 6th seed, taking on San Antonio.
26:10You watched last night a victory by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
26:13Well, certainly it helps when you knock Webb and Yama out of the game
26:15because why?
26:16He knocks himself out by trying to knock somebody else out with an elbow.
26:20But you still see, even though it's 2-2, best of three,
26:23heads back basically to San Antonio, Joe.
26:26Spurs, 78% chance still to win this year,
26:29which means a yes contract on them handling their business only pays back $129.
26:34But, Joe, if you feel you want to go the opposite direction
26:37and take the upset here with Ant-Man and the boys,
26:40that $100 wager, an investment I should say, pays back $435.
26:44How about that?
26:46Yeah, I mean, it's been, I think the series started, even Donnie, right,
26:50the look-ahead, they were right around a 70% to 80% chance
26:54of winning this series out, like with all the injuries.
26:58But call me crazy.
26:59I mean, what you just saw is that Minnesota's not going quietly in any way, shape, or form.
27:05But the series is going to switch back.
27:08Home court advantage seems to have done pretty well here for San Antonio.
27:13I still think they have a better shot than 20%, Minnesota.
27:17Call me crazy here, Donnie.
27:19I think they're going to get at least another one.
27:21I think this goes to seven.
27:23And if it goes to seven, my question is, Donnie, are we still looking at 80-20?
27:28Is that really what this is going to be?
27:31How about that?
27:32You never know when the pressure arrives.
27:33Now, the Spurs have always been in this spot multiple times with Webb and Yama.
27:36This is the team trying to learn how to win.
27:38Series winner, Joe, in the Eastern Conference, Cleveland, the fourth seed, taking on the top
27:42seed, Detroit.
27:44Currently, Detroit does have a 2-1 series lead, but Cleveland countered with that victory in
27:48game number three.
27:49Now, they look to do it again in game number four.
27:51But currently sits right now 2-1, Joe.
27:53Heavy favorite is Detroit.
27:54A 70-cent yes ticket, which means $100 investment pays back 143 if the Pistons do win this series.
28:01But Cleveland is the favorite tonight.
28:04Might it be not a bad idea to take them on the yes line at 31 cents?
28:07$100 investment pays back 323.
28:09They win.
28:10That market price is going to be decidedly lower, Joe, tomorrow morning.
28:14Yeah, and it's important to remember that in these series prices, you're not betting the
28:19outcome.
28:20You're betting the price adjustment, the repricing.
28:24So I can tell you now, if you think Cleveland wins this game tonight, I would jump in on this
28:3029 cents, 30 cents, 31 cents series price now.
28:34I mean, they have yet to show me they can win on the road against anybody, Donnie.
28:39But if they win this game tonight, that's going to have to bump up.
28:43It's going to have to be repriced.
28:44And listen, anything is possible.
28:47I mean, they can lock their way into a win at Detroit.
28:50I think this is likely going seven.
28:52But I would want to jump in on Cleveland now if I think they're winning here this game tonight,
28:58tying the series up two apiece.
28:59We'll see you next time.
