00:00Raylan of Signal Hill Tobago was invited to visit the New York University in Abu Dhabi, a globally prestigious institution
00:08for a weekend program in recognition of his academic excellence.
00:13He was scheduled to return home on Sunday. However, airport disruptions following bombings have left him unable to depart and
00:22confined to a hotel. He is currently the only Tibergonian there and is navigating an unfamiliar environment during a time
00:31of heightened tension. His mother, Deltia George-Taylor, spoke to TV6 News.
00:38I could say for sure that we have been in constant contact with him. He is comfortable and he is
00:46being well taken care of by the university, the Christmas wine chart, and they have kept in constant contact with
00:54us via email. So up to this morning, we have gotten information and software feedback that they are taking care
01:02of them. And by communicating with him, he is also quite comfortable.
01:06Understandably distressed, Mrs. George-Taylor explained the concern she feels for her son.
01:12It's like a mix of emotions. It's like panic, panic, panic, fear and stuff, but yet still we are trusting
01:22and believing in God that he is going to be with us safely.
01:26The government and the THA are being informed on the matter.
01:31Well, today is actually the day that he is completing the form. I just copied him. He is completing the
01:38form for the nationals. That's with the Ministry of, I think it's how we come, how we come, how we
01:46come affairs, as well as we have just sent out the information to notify the chief secretary concerning the matter.
01:55So that information is not being sent.
