Dog-Walking Dispute Sparks High-Voltage Drama at Greater Noida Housing Society

Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh): A heated altercation between two women over dog walking escalated into high-voltage drama at Amrapali Golf Homes Society in Greater Noida, with the incident captured on video and widely circulated on social media.

According to police, the dispute began when one woman objected to another resident allegedly walking her pet dog in a public area of the society. The argument soon intensified, with the accused woman allegedly resorting to vulgar abuse. The confrontation, recorded on camera, went viral, prompting police intervention.

Based on a complaint filed by Swati, police registered a case at the Bisrakh police station. Officials confirmed that the accused woman has been taken into custody, and legal action has been initiated. Police also stated that the viral video is being examined as part of the investigation.

The incident has triggered mixed reactions online, with some residents demanding stricter enforcement of pet ownership rules, while others have called for greater understanding and awareness of pet etiquette and community guidelines.

Authorities noted that such disputes are not isolated, with similar incidents reported earlier in Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, and Gurugram. Several high-rise societies have witnessed conflicts over pet management, stray dog attacks, and dog bite incidents, occasionally leading to resident protests.

Officials said measures are being planned, including new animal shelters, sterilisation drives, and stricter enforcement of leash and muzzle rules, to prevent future conflicts.
