00:23one of the proud co-founders of linked and i amongst other things i just love the what we do
00:31here at linked and how it connects people and bring them together and i get to do this amazing
00:36business with my sister friend yes and hello as well it is such a pleasure to be here today
00:42i am cassandra mcafee and absolutely love being a part of linked with my co-owner as well together
00:50we share a shared vision and we love what we do i love it and i heard that every piece
00:57is designed
00:58to empower women celebrate individuals and move with move with you through every season of life
01:04i love that so you know we're going to go into it like linked is about confidence connection
01:10what inspired linked and why what does it represent to you personally the inspiration actually came from
01:17my one of my other businesses where i help black businesses and i was in prayer for my friend
01:25cassandra who is an amazing jeweler and has a business yes and so i wanted to be able to to
01:32do
01:32something to tell her something to motivate her or something so i was in prayer and i was like god
01:37what
01:37can i do because i really want her to be able to you know get away from her nine to
01:42five which causes her
01:43stress etc and then i said god if you got something for me too you know i'm willing as well
01:49so you know
01:50i and i literally jumped in the shower and as soon as the water rained down on me i saw
01:56just vision
01:57of of of linked it didn't have a name i just saw it and i got so excited from what
02:03i seen and where it
02:04was going all in this split second and when i you know told cassandra the second time always that's an
02:10inside joke when i told her the second time she got just as excited and that was in 2019
02:16and we sat there that day and we began mapping out the concept and we've been going ever since
02:22yes i love that that's beautiful yes and during a hard time the pandemic yes yes yes yes yes
02:29inspiration rise i'm telling you i love that i love that and that's what kept us going because i say
02:34is no way that god gave me this vision as strong as he did and we just took off the
02:40way we did
02:40for a pandemic to stop it you know so that we pushed through it and actually we came up with
02:47a good
02:47virtual option that still is available where we start shipping supplies so you know linked is about
02:54connection and it was meant to happen i love that and then it's just a way for women to feel
02:58beautiful empowered confident and you felt this in the shower i know that's right i know and then
03:03can you imagine just for me you know being that friend she was praying for yes to come up with
03:08such
03:08a concept and praying for me and so you know that has just always been a blessing to have a
03:13friend like
03:14sonia um that she cares so much and so the business that she refers to is radiant jewels and radiant
03:21jewels
03:21is a dedication to my one and only son rogerick moses jr i lost rj back in 2006 and so
03:30um you know
03:32i started radiant jewels as a way of sharing the jewelry with the world as well as um that was
03:39my
03:39way of showing love for rj because radiant jewels is aka rj so i got a chance to share um
03:46rj with the
03:47world through my love of jewelry i love and so with that um sonia got a chance to see some
03:52of radiant
03:52jewels and she's like you got to be doing more with this be doing more with this and you know
03:58life
03:58right life yes busy schedules you know marriage all of that family and it's just where do i get time
04:05to do this so thank god i have a praying friend um and we've been able to manifest through those
04:11prayers that we are here now with our business linked that's beautiful i love it i love it mainly
04:18because of how passionate you both talk about it i mean it's just it was give me a little chills

04:24down i love that and i just it's inspiring truly it is and i just love that you can make
04:29jewelry that
04:29can inspire the next woman you know what i'm saying and make them feel good and make them feel how
04:34you both feel yes that's a beautiful thing i love it and i love that linked empowers entire families
04:40now oh yeah i would love for you guys to tell me the opportunities that you create not just for
04:45the women but for the husbands and the children to create please tell me well for me i would like
04:52to
04:53share then a few of our testimonies from events that just did that that come that resonate with me
04:59so the empowerment first and foremost just so you know cassandra and i met through ministry
05:04and so even though linked is a business it is considered our ministry we approach it as such
05:10and we don't take for granted when people open up their intimate spaces to allow us to be a part
05:15of
05:16it to get their family their friends those closest to them linked um so we've had events where like
05:23remembrance events that we do for people who lose a loved one and someone you know contacted us let us
05:29know that their cousins hadn't spoke since the person uh was deceased and so but when that space
05:36and they saw each other they immediately embraced and hugged and forgot about the pettiness of whatever
05:41it was that had kept them apart for so long so during those kind of events you can get healing
05:47you
05:47you get a new found relationships that you know new stories that are inspired you know we had people
05:55a person contact us who had ms and her medications had her having tremors with her hand and i had
06:01to
06:01stop myself like three times i remember this because beads kept falling and she was trying to beat it
06:07yes but my spirit said leave her alone leave her alone but you know we like to help so i'm
06:12like i want
06:12to help and the spirit was like leave her alone and i'm glad i listened because she she was like
06:18you
06:18know i'm not taking this bracelet off because it has given me the power to know that this disease
06:24is not going to have the best of me because i was able to do this on my own and
06:29complete it
06:30and she completed it and she completed it and we actually ran into her a few months ago and we
06:36were
06:36like okay she said no i still have my bracelet and she had it on and cassandra's like i think
06:42it's time
06:42for you to get relinked to like freshen it up and she was like oh no she didn't want to
06:46take it apart
06:47she loved that bracelet right so it's just something more like we say it's more than just a bracelet
06:53it's just that that tangible thing that you've made that connection when you start talking about
06:58you know families we've had daddy daughter events the dad and the daughter you know these little
07:04stories that they now have this little piece of jewelry that has connected them in that moment to
07:09go and leave with you know we've have linkedin love where couples come out and they share their
07:15love story and and you get inspired by hearing these other stories some people you know might be on the
07:20verge of ending their relationship but when you're surrounded in that energy of love you might
07:25think again and now you got this new thing to commit to that you know this little piece of jewelry
07:30and so it's it's with those things i know when my husband he attended uh a couple of linkedin love
07:37events but when we went out he actually put his bracelet on i'm like oh you weird he was like
07:41no i love
07:42i love my bracelet so even the men love it yes and that was one thing that inspired me because
07:48my husband as well he wears those bracelets all the time so i started paying attention to
07:55we gotta train i'm like sonia we need to include some men's the men bees too and so when we
08:01came up
08:01with linkedin love oh my god it's just so awesome lori to see the men i mean they just be
08:06so into it
08:08you should see them as they're going around trying to pick out what bees they want and you know
08:12they're very proud of their bracelets and that's right um it's just it's always just a great moment
08:18to see the reactions and you know once we once i tie them off um and give them back to
08:24them and they
08:25put them on it's just you know just to walk away with that memorable experience and event that they
08:30just completed that bracelet it is just really cool like on a man's end it's cool
08:34i love that i'm just i love it i gotta i might have to get some for my man because
08:39he loves
08:39he's like he loves bracelets oh i know i mean i'm really into them now they're all into it he
08:44gets
08:44them off on amazon yes we just had an event um just last weekend and that was so awesome so
08:51um we did we were on a podcast last week and so one of the questions was asked at the
08:56end of the
08:57podcast um is we we kind of shared what we were there to do um and so at the one
09:05of the um guests
09:06asked well do you have bees for men i was like yes we do not only do we just we
09:12have a variety of um
09:14bees for men and so that young man came and i'm when i tell you he had an awesome time
09:20oh and he went online too he was showing his his boys his bracelet what he created and it was
09:26just
09:26so cool i think he put a crown on there like you know you're a young king yeah yeah that's
09:33how you
09:33do it and so you know it's just you know whatever the occasion is whatever you coming with you know
09:41we are able to accommodate oh i love that all the way around and that's that's special because
09:46sometimes you only have certain places that only have either one type of thing you didn't get one
09:51thing or the other but the fact that you have a variety and then it's open for children and men
09:56women i mean i love it as a way you can express yourself and that's what really really just stands
10:02out to me and one of the other questions that i have is that for the women listening right now
10:08who's stepping into their next chapter why is linked the piece that she should carry with
10:14okay well what came to me when you said that yes is what is on my wrist which is my

10:23vision bracelet and that was our brainchild really of us working together i thought about
10:30vision bracelets and cassandra took it to the next step of having it as a i am bracelet of empowerment
10:36so for me right now when i look down at my wrist talk about it so i am i am
10:41what what are you talk
10:43about that yes but you're gonna give us a little bling bling so we can see when i when i
10:47look down
10:47for this year is my bracelet is anchored around peace and so when i look at this i'm walking around
10:54and i
10:54know i have peace and if i forget it i can be reminded but then i have you know my
10:59heel where i'm
11:00stepping in with a different attitude in 2026 i got my airplane where i'm gonna be traveling expense
11:07pay okay
11:11my money bag where i know money is coming to me easily oh i need that one when i say
11:17about
11:18empowerment again this is you don't you know this is just one of the type of bracelets i have another
11:23one on this wrist because i'm part of a book anthology so reminds me that i'm a leash that i'm
11:29a queen
11:29that i've shared my story that i have let the chains go that was binding me yeah so literally
11:35it's beautiful don't get it twisted right oh yes but it's impactful it's impossible it's more than
11:43just going to a store and buying a beautiful piece of jewelry because you have created it with your
11:48essence behind it so when you're wearing it it's it's something more it transforms into something more
11:54but the i am i have to let you share because you came up with that yes please so yeah
11:59so
11:59as you see loy so as the years have gone on since 2019 every year we come up with something
12:04more
12:05and me and sonia use a lot of these experiences through our own lives right because i mean we're
12:09living it right yes ma'am and so this particular year um when sonia came like because we were talking
12:16about a vision board and she said well what you think about a vision bracelet and oh my god that's
12:20all she got to do is give me that is such a good idea i learned with it right i
12:24went out i started
12:25finding all kind of charms you know yes um faith-based blessed enough beautiful i mean just whatever
12:34self self-confidence faithfulness i came up with i seen all these beads but it's this particular night
12:41i was at home creating it because generally what i do is i create a bracelet to kind of get
12:47a ladies
12:47an idea what your bracelet can be but you can change it but that's what's unique about linked you know
12:52you can follow the pattern that i provide or you come up with your own right because it's your
12:58creativity and so that's one thing we love about link just seeing all the different creativities that
13:03come through with the finished bracelet but um this particular evening i came up with i am enough oh my
13:11god so my bracelet was i am enough that's powerful i am beautiful and i am loved and i needed
13:18that at
13:19that season right just to remind me and so yeah that that year that bracelet really took off that i
13:26am
13:26bracelet and it was doing february um two um it was right i think we had the vision event in
13:33january
13:34but february we did i am and just you know in celebration of black history month i was just about
13:41the same right in time oh yeah so it was just awesome and we had an event we let the
13:46ladies choose
13:46well in january we did the vision bracelet but this month we're celebrating black history just reminding you
13:52i am and that's what they did they everybody walked away with an i am bracelet so that was kind
13:57of
13:57awesome it was a good feeling for me because it's not just like sonia keeps saying it's not just jury
14:04it's the impact behind it and we pride ourselves in just knowing that we've touched so many different
14:11women and ways where they can look down at their bracelet and remember what that event was and what
14:17empowerment it gives to them oh i'm so thankful and i know that's why you guys stay busy in books
14:22because you guys got a couple events up right now right yes yes we do yes please tell us about
14:27it
14:28we're blessed so um for those of you who don't know i have a beautiful friend and who is now
14:35also
14:36becoming very close with cassandra and that's the phenomenal uh natasha natasha lee i call it natasha
14:42but i always got to let people know it's natasha natasha lee from that girl that girl and make your
14:49dreams come true and so we it's funny because you know facebook does a good good thing of capturing
14:56moments and so one day i was like girl we've known each other for a long time you know before
15:01the that
15:01girl actually before that wow and um but she still had make your dreams come true you know yes and
15:08so
15:08it's just i believe in moving in god's timing so where my heart wanted us to like do things like
15:14soon early it just never just was smooth you know so but this became like a smooth time
15:21and i believe and i could see things lining up so we say thank you natasha because that's why
15:27that's why we're here right now and so working with natasha she has this amazing
15:34a galentine's event that she kind of came together with and it's happening on friday february the 13th
15:41at oh so quaint and if you have not seen oh so quaint you need to just come for sure
15:46okay i've been
15:47oh so quaint isn't it and it's quaint baby it's quaint it's beautiful it's so beautiful it's going to be
15:53an amazing time it's the atmosphere it's definitely you have to definitely it's like it's a vibe it is a
15:58vibe and so yes that is happening on friday uh the 13th at uh oh so quaint at 7 p
16:07.m and then that
16:09following saturday on the 21st yes that's our linkedin love so all those couples out here who
16:18watching us right now and we have it discounted so for two now you know to come there's going to
16:24be
16:24games we're going to be uh having fun and laughing and beating and bonding there's like refreshments
16:31it's a whole vibe so we don't want to be playing with y'all valentine's day weekend
16:35that's right i said but me and listening if you want the love to continue you want the love go

16:43register so that following weekend you can show her how you still it ain't valentine's day it's a whole

17:11have that that symbol that shows you together right yes and then in march we're so happy to uh return
17:19again yeah the second time even though it's their fifth annual wonder woman's wellness conference
17:25and that's um going to be a phenomenal event for women to just make sure you healthy wellness all
17:33the way from your mind body and your soul so we're we're proud to be there when you come to
17:38an event
17:38where we're a vendor you actually get to beat on the spot yes you do do you really on the
17:43spot on the
17:44spot no don't don't don't tip me with a good time i love that so you already walk in inspire
17:51like
17:51listen i'm gonna make things i'm gonna get exactly and and then of course that's march is you know
17:57international women's history month so we have to have a her story of course not just his story
18:03yes it's her story yeah and when you share your story you are uh breaking your own personal chains with
18:10that story that might have you bound but you're also you know giving the key to another woman
18:17that unlocks her chains so that's why we need to for you to hear your story you need to share
18:22your
18:22story and that's what our focus is this this year yes it's her story and cassandra has a phenomenal
18:29bracelet that's going to be created for that and the colors and the colors yes so that's happening on
18:35march the 28th yes oh i'm excited i'm excited and we are too listen i want to say okay can

18:42give us a little can we know what we will be featuring that day it's going to be all about
18:45her i feel like black girl magic yes and you kind of can see from the the flyer it's going

18:53girl magic okay it's giving that but i didn't want to assume like all ages now we don't discriminate
18:59against no other of course not of course not but this is a good time for anybody that's right for
19:05anybody it's all about women and it's a you know it's a phenomenal event too and you know i'm just
19:09so
19:09glad sonia you know promoting that by you know sending that love out because it's another great way
19:15ladies to come out yes and just enjoy the day and be around some other women too that are truly
19:21you know
19:22there to receive um whatever you know the agenda is for that day because we don't know yet but we
19:29just know we're there we're excited and the bracelet will be ready for you to make so i'm gonna have

19:35come to a few i'm gonna have to come to a few of those here's the thing lori though this
19:38is this is
19:39i love when people say that because we recognize life is life and for a whole lot of people yes
19:45you
19:46know but once you become part of our link family we again we met in ministry under the
19:52leadership we was taught yes the importance of giving yes so because we see our business as a
19:58ministry we have a lot of gifts that we give we we give a lot of deals and once you
20:03become part of
