00:04Sometimes, the worst thing of your day can be getting a parking ticket.
00:09Ugh, the worst.
00:11It does really stink.
00:12Horrible.
00:12Because half the time, you're like, okay, I'm just going to be a minute.
00:16I just have to go X, Y, and Z this.
00:19Or, sometimes you don't even know you're parking.
00:21You know, some of those signs are like, don't park.
00:24Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
00:26Like, give me a map or something.
00:28My brain hurts.
00:29Yes, it doesn't work.
00:30It doesn't compute.
00:31We've all been there.
00:32We've gotten parking tickets.
00:33Well, the city of Las Vegas, which I'm sure collects a lot of money in parking tickets.
00:39With rental vehicles around and stuff.
00:42And people going in and out of casinos trying to do God knows what.
00:46Well, they are changing up how you can pay for your unpaid parking tickets.
00:52So, as a part of a holiday donation program, for eligible citations issued between the 1st of October and November
01:0013th, drivers can now donate new, unwrapped toys worth at least as much as their fines.
01:08And the toys are going to go to local non-profits that help homeless families find their permanent housing.
01:15What a great idea.
01:16So, their families can get off the streets.
01:17They can have a holiday with their family.
01:20And these toys are going to go directly to those kids so they can have a sense of normalcy in
01:24their life.
01:24How cool.
01:25It's so great because it also, you know, you get that ticket and you're almost like, no, I'm not paying
01:30it just out of protest, right?
01:32Like, I'm just, I'm doing this out of principle.
01:34I don't believe that I really deserve that.
01:36Where does even my money go?
01:38Yeah, right.
01:39But now, you know.
01:40And then it's like, oh, all right.
01:42Well, I'll spend 50 bucks on some toys for some kids that aren't getting Christmas otherwise.
01:47Drivers must provide proof of purchase and make their donations within 30 days of receiving their ticket with the city
01:52accepting toys through December the 14th.

01:56I mean, how great is this?
01:57You just kind of look at the price and you're like, okay, how many Play-Dos is that going to
02:00cost me?
02:01How many Legos do I need to get?
02:03How many stuffed animals can this make happen?
02:05And then, I mean, you know, you get to go shopping.
02:08Yeah.
02:09Instead of having to just fork over 50 bucks, you get to go to Target or Walmart or whatever toy
02:14store you want and have a little bit of fun.
02:16For a good cause.
02:17It literally provides so much joy on both sides, the gifter and also the receiver.
