A high-end car accident on Road No. 45 in Jubilee Hills left five persons injured on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 10:30 am on February 22, 2026, when a red Ferrari California T (TS 07 HK 8797) was travelling from Journalist Colony towards Kondapur. Near the residence of actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle.
According to police, the Ferrari rammed into an electric pole on the road divider, crossed over to the opposite carriageway and collided head-on with a Tata Altroz. The impact triggered a chain reaction, damaging another car and a two-wheeler.
Five people, including the Ferrari driver Kranthi Reddy (30) and his wife, sustained minor injuries. They were shifted to nearby private hospitals for treatment.
Police said the car was being driven by Kranthi Reddy, a businessman and son of the registered owner, E. Venkata Raja Reddy. He tested negative for alcohol.
The driver reportedly claimed brake and steering failure. Police are examining the vehicle’s data recorder (black box) as part of the investigation. A case has been registered under Section 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for rash and negligent driving.
