After more than a day blocked in their homes, neighbors in Providence, Rhode Island, teamed up to clear feet of snow from their street with shovels and snowblowers.
Transcript
00:00This morning, the corner store in the corner, they started using the snowblowers to kind of clear out the street
00:07a little bit on their side.
00:08And then my neighbor over here on this side, he kind of made a path going this way.
00:13And then we were able to get some cars out through the sidewalk.
00:17Just a little while ago, maybe two hours ago, there was like 30 people out here.
00:20Maybe close to 40 people just with shovels and snowblowers just trying to clear up the whole street.
00:26Because it's been two days pretty much like this and, you know, people got to get to work, stuff like
00:31that.
00:31So they were saying that if we just sat around and waited, we probably would have been stuck for days.
00:35So everybody kind of just got together and tried to make a path for at least people to get in
00:42and out of the street.
00:43Yeah, I've been living here pretty much my whole life.
00:46I mean, we've had bad storms before, but we haven't had like this one, one like this in a long
00:52time.
00:52So it's crazy. Well, like I said, we haven't had anything like this in a long time.
00:57So seeing it is like, it's crazy.
01:00Yeah, yeah, I've been shoveling for like two days.
01:04Yeah, for sure. Ready for summer.
01:06No, I'm good. I just bought like three bags of salt, trying to clean this up and throw it out
01:12so that, you know, could go back inside.
01:14Bye.
