00:00:00Okay. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. As we prepare to celebrate and commemorate Black History Month, let us not forget, we are black people, 365 days a year.
00:00:17As Jane Brown would say, say it loud, I'm black and I'm proud. We should be some very proud people of our ancestors, of what they endured for us to be here today.
00:00:30Because they did some things that we probably couldn't do, but they did. And we thank them for that, for allowing us to be here today.
00:00:39As I look back over my life, and I think things over, I can truly say that I've been blessed, that you've been blessed, that God has taken us through the test, through the test of time, bringing us through heartache and pain, bringing us through sunshine and rain, bringing us through trials and tribulations, bringing us through the ups and downs and ins and outs of this life.
00:01:03If the Lord, if the Lord, the Spirit of the living God, can do something like that for an old sinner man like me, he can do it for each and every last one of you.
00:01:14Oh, what a good God we serve. That's why we sing with uplifting voices, an old familiar hymn.
00:01:21It's one of those hymn that brought our parents through the cotton fields, through the orange groves, through the apple groves, through the pecan groves, through Georgia, Mississippi, and all those other places that we all were brought up in.
00:01:41And that's why we sing with uplifting voices, and that's why we sing this morning, an old familiar song, and it goes something like this.
00:01:49Can't nobody do me like Jesus, can't nobody, oh no, do me like Jesus, can't nobody, can't nobody, can't nobody, do me like Jesus, he's my friend.
00:02:09Can't nobody do me like Jesus, can't nobody, can't nobody, can't nobody, can't nobody, can't nobody, do me like Jesus, he's my friend.

00:11:55Good morning, church.
00:12:13Amen.
00:12:14Today, we honor black history this morning.
00:12:18So we're going to take it way back.
00:12:20Do y'all mind if we take it way back this morning?
00:12:25We're going to take it way back.
00:12:55We're going to take it way back.
00:12:57We're going to take it way back.
00:12:59Way in the water, way in the water, children, way in the water, cause of trouble in the water.
00:13:14Way in the water, way in the water, children, way in the water, cause of trouble in the water.
00:13:30Step in the water, the water was cold. God's got a trouble in the water.
00:13:40Chill my body, but God my soul. God's got a trouble in the water.
00:13:47Way in the water, way in the water, children, way in the water, cause of trouble in the water, cause of trouble in the water.
00:13:59God's got a trouble in the water.
00:14:04Way in the water, way in the water, God's got a trouble in the water.
00:14:19I went to the water one day to pray. God's got a trouble in the water.
00:14:27My soul got happy and I stayed all day.
00:14:32God's got a trouble in the water.
00:14:36Say, way in the water, way in the water, children, way in the water.
00:14:49God's got a trouble in the water.
00:14:51Say, way in the water.
00:14:57Say, way in the water.
00:15:00I stepped in the water, but now I'm the soul. God's got a trouble in the water.
00:15:07Say, way in the water.
00:15:08I stepped in the water.
00:15:10The water was cold
00:15:12God's got a trouble in the water
00:15:16It chilled my body
00:15:18But not my soul
00:15:20God's got a trouble in the water
00:15:24Way in the water
00:15:28Children
00:15:28Way in the water
00:15:31Children
00:15:32Way in the water
00:15:35God's got a trouble in the water
00:15:40Way in the water
00:15:44Way in the water
00:15:48Children
00:15:48Way in the water
00:15:52God's got a trouble in the water
00:15:56Way in the water
00:16:00Way in the water
00:16:04Children
00:16:05God's got a trouble in the water, God's got a trouble in the water, God's got a trouble in the water, God's got a trouble in the water.
00:16:35Amen.
00:16:42Can we please remain standing for the Black National Anthem,
00:16:47Lift Every Voice and Sing.
00:16:51All right.
00:17:05Lift every voice and sing in earth and heaven ring.
00:17:18We with our bodies of liberty, let our rejoicing rise high
00:17:34as the listening skies, let it resound loud as the rolling sea.
00:17:50Sing a song of the faith that the dark past has taught us.
00:18:00Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us.
00:18:13Facing the rising sun of a new day begun.
00:18:22Let us march on till victory is won.
00:18:32Stony the road.
00:18:34Stony the road we try.
00:18:40Bitter the chastening grind.
00:18:44Built in the day when hope unborn had died.
00:18:54Yet with that steady beat have not our weary feet come to the place on which our Father sighed.
00:19:12We have come over a way that with tears has been water.
00:19:28We have come, treading our path through the blood of the slaughter.
00:19:40Out from the gloomy test till now we stand at last.
00:19:51Where the white flame of our star is cast.
00:20:03God of our weary years.
00:20:10God of our silent tears.
00:20:16Thou who has brought us thus far on the way.
00:20:29Thou who has by thy might led us into the line.
00:20:42Keep us forever in the path we pray.
00:20:51Let our feet from the places where we met thee.
00:21:07Lest our hearts drunk with the water we forgive thee
00:21:23Shadow beneath thy hand
00:21:31May we forever stand true to our God
00:21:41True to our native land
00:21:49Our native land
00:22:01Good morning everyone on this Black History Month
00:22:11That we celebrate every year in February
00:22:14But I tell you when I
00:22:17God has enabled me to learn our Black History
00:22:21Every day is Black History Month for us
00:22:25Praise God for that
00:22:27And as we continue to celebrate the Black History Month
00:22:30Let us stand and we will read together
00:22:33The scripture of Roman 8, 31, 39
00:22:36As we continue
00:22:39But I thought it was on third Sunday
00:22:43That's a second Sunday, isn't it?
00:22:45Oh, it's third Sunday?
00:22:46No, I'm behind
00:22:46Go over here last week, I'm sorry
00:22:48Good morning, church
00:22:59Our scripture reading from Romans 8, 31-39
00:23:05What shall we then say to these things?
00:23:09What shall we then say to these things?
00:23:11What shall we then say to these things?
00:23:12If God be forced
00:23:13God be forced
00:23:15Who can be against us?
00:23:16Who can be against us?
00:23:18He that spared not his own son
00:23:20He that spared not his own son
00:23:22But delivered him up for us all
00:23:24How shall he not
00:23:27With him also
00:23:29Freely give us all things?
00:23:31Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect?
00:23:37Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect?
00:23:39It is God that justified
00:23:41Who is he that condemned him?
00:23:46It is Christ that died
00:23:47Yeah, rather
00:23:50That is risen again
00:23:52Who is even at the right hand of God?
00:23:57Who also maketh intercession for us?
00:23:59Who also maketh intercession for us?
00:24:02Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
00:24:06Shall tribulation
00:24:07Or distress
00:24:09Or persecution
00:24:11Or famine
00:24:13Or nakedness
00:24:15Or peril
00:24:17Or sorrow
00:24:18As it is written
00:24:20For thy sake
00:24:22We are killed all the day long
00:24:24We are incarnate as sheep for the son
00:24:28And all these things
00:24:33We are more than conquerors
00:24:35For them that love us
00:24:38For I am persuaded
00:24:40I am either dead
00:24:43I am right
00:24:44I am angels
00:24:46I am principalities
00:24:47I am powers
00:24:49I am things present
00:24:51I am things to come
00:24:53No height
00:24:54No debt
00:24:56No any other future
00:24:57Shall be able to separate us
00:25:00From the love of God
00:25:03Which is in Christ Jesus
00:25:05Our Lord
00:25:07Amen

00:32:27Throughout black history, there were times of pain, struggle, and injustice, but there was
00:32:54also faith and hope.
00:33:24When doors were closed, faith opened a new path.
00:33:26So you're saying they made it because they trusted God?
00:33:37Yes, and the same God that carried them.
00:33:39Yes.
00:33:41And the same God that carried them is carrying on.
00:33:43But what if you fail.
00:33:45But what if you fail?
00:33:47And you get back up because God's purpose is greater than fear.
00:33:50I mean, I may not know the whole journey, but I know who walks with me.
00:33:56I may not know the whole journey, but I may not know the whole journey, but I may not know the whole journey, but I know who walks with me.
00:34:03But I may not know the whole journey, but I may not know.
00:34:04You are standing.
00:34:05You are standing.
00:34:06Black history is more than the past.
00:34:11It is faith, and action, hope, alive, and a future square enemy.
00:34:18Thank you, Jackson. I'm not going to try to repeat the name because I don't want to be real.
00:34:39Next we have Dana. She's doing a tribute to Black History.
00:34:48Good morning, good morning, good morning. I'm doing History of the Oldest City in West Palm Beach.
00:34:57Can I get the PC for Lifers to please stand?
00:35:27Formerly enslaved people from the American South played a crucial role in the development of Henry Flagler's monumental Florida East House Railway and Hotel Project.
00:35:37They filled roles as gardeners, maids, and skilled carpenters, like the Royal Poinciana and the Breakers Hotel.
00:35:44The settlement was a collection of simple wood-frame shacks topped with tin roofs, embodying the resilience and self-sufficiency of its residents.
00:35:54The roads remained unpaid, and sanitation facilities were scarce, yet life glided in the sticks, driven by shared experiences and mutual support.
00:36:07These families cultivated gardens, fished local waters, and raised livestock.
00:36:12This sense of community was nurturing as small shops flourished alongside churches.
00:36:17They embraced learning and progress as they worked side-by-side with white businesses.
00:36:25Opportunities arose for hands-on apprenticeships in various trades.
00:36:29Knowledge flourished within the community, with individuals venturing into professions such as pharmacy, dentistry, and medical assistance.
00:36:37As Palm Beach's wealthy white population grew, so too did the pressure to displace the sticks and repurpose the land for upscale developments.
00:36:48By the early 1900s, waves of intimidation, rising winds, flight evictions, forced families to abandon their homes.
00:36:58Some recall tragic tales of their residences being violently destroyed.
00:37:02Many oral histories claim while residents were away on an invite to a carnival or picnic, a fire had erupted and spreaded quickly throughout the town,
00:37:13driving them across the bridge to settle to what is now called Pleasant City.
00:37:18Following their displacement, many families found refuge in Pleasant City, a neighborhood in West Palm Beach,
00:37:24specifically plotted to accommodate those forced to leave Palm Beach Island.
00:37:29Plotted by George Curry in 1905 and incorporated in 1912,
00:37:34Pleasant City became a new chapter for the displaced residents.
00:37:40The memories of the sticks live on through the history shared by those who once called it home.
00:37:47They named the streets cheerful, beautiful, contentment, and merry.
00:37:50Pleasant City, in the eyes of many, is a historical neighborhood with deep roots.
00:37:54Many families started businesses here and prospered, strengthening Pleasant City's economy.
00:38:00Most can recall hearing these stories in each household and business and saying,
00:38:04a dollar in our neighborhood lives a hundred times before leaving our neighborhood.
00:38:08This was the mindset of those residents and should also now be the mindset of those residents.
00:38:15Okay, what I'd like to say is, if you didn't hear at all,
00:38:19that Pleasant City, it came from the sticks, which was in Palm Beach, Florida.
00:38:25We were invited to a picnic or a barbecue, and they burned us out from Palm Beach, from Palm Beach Island.
00:38:35And it became Pleasant City.
00:38:38It's still standing, and that was in 1904.
00:38:40And I want to thank all the people that I invited out.
00:38:49I know some of my neighbors in Pleasant City.
00:38:51We're still friends now, and I won't say what we are, ladies.
00:38:55And I just want to thank you.
00:38:56Next, we have We Are Black History by Jaquan Hollins, Kenyon Rogers, Pat Smith, and Terry Rogers.

00:39:54Come on.
00:39:55Come on.
00:39:56Come on.
00:39:56Good morning, everyone. Today, we are here to celebrate Black History Month, and we want
00:40:12you to learn something important. We are Black History.
00:40:26We are Black History Month in the world. We are Black History Month in the world. We are Black History Month in the world.
00:40:56Black History is inventors, leaders, teachers, and helpers. Black History is about never giving up and always believing in yourself.
00:41:22Black History is not just a past.
00:41:38Black History is today. Black History is the future. Black History is us.
00:41:45I also don't want to see you after me. It will be fine. It will be fine. It will be fine. It will be fine. It will be fine.
00:41:54It will be fine. Because you're a Black History.
00:41:57Because you're a Black History.
00:42:00Next, we will have friends of Fine Beach. So, Teyana Rancis, Kayla Smith, Teyana Rancis, and Braley Bass. Best.
00:42:26Sorry, at least.
00:42:27I'm fine.
00:42:29bard Luther, Kinga Rancis,
00:42:47See you next time.
00:42:57Bye bye.
00:44:40Next we have Ichalo, and who's going to talk about Dr. Leroy Jefferson?
00:44:46Dr. Thomas Leroy Jefferson, the first broad doctor in West Point Beach, was known as the
00:44:59bicycle doctor for making house cars by bike.
00:45:03He served African immigrants and Native-related communities and was a prominent figure in
00:45:10the Queen of the King's medical history.
00:45:13Next we will have Jamali, who will be reading, Our History is Our Story.
00:45:27I'm going to take away the first two readers of the world of history.
00:45:44What do you think?
00:45:45Story.
00:45:46Our story is our history.
00:45:47Our history is our story, and it's our sponsor, and we're going to have to tell it.
00:45:51When people talk about black history, they talk about how many people saved, and gave me the
00:45:55first word.
00:45:56Then we accept how many were free, but oppressed, and finally returned.
00:46:00We'll have to accept that same thing.
00:46:02My story is our end.
00:46:04Our story is our end.
00:46:05Our history is our end.
00:46:06And so, when it is became, it is our sponsor, and we're going to tell it.
00:46:08Because our story is our history, and our history is our story.
00:46:09Last, but not least, to close us out, we have an original poem by Jim.
00:46:35Good morning again.
00:46:36Brought up in the land that birthed people under the sun, until people came, and we were
00:46:43killed by nothing done.
00:46:44Those who had escaped forever mourned those that were lost.
00:46:47Some had tried to fight, although we knew what that would cost.
00:46:50Those who had survived were wrapped in chains and forced to leave.
00:46:55Generations later, broken apart, we all still breathe.
00:47:00Hardly fight of souls, but not by life.
00:47:03Ignorant bliss.
00:47:04But we all should know, a history is more than this.
00:47:17Thank you, and that concludes our Black History Program.
00:47:50One more time.
00:47:51We'll see you next time.
00:47:52Bye-bye.
00:47:53I'll see you next time.
00:47:54Bye-bye.
00:47:56Bye.
00:47:58Bye.
00:48:00Bye-bye.
00:48:04Bye-bye.
00:48:11Bye.
00:48:15Bye-bye.
00:48:19Bye-bye.
00:54:06Oh man, can I enter, me?
00:54:36We all know, he's been here before, we're on this great day, no man can hinder us, God has sent us,
00:55:04God has sent us, God has sent us.
00:55:11I really love the Lord, I really love the Lord.
00:55:30Cause you don't know what he's done for me.
00:55:37He gave me the victory and I love him, I love him.
00:55:51I really love the Lord, I really love the Lord.
00:56:03Anybody love him this morning?
00:56:06I really love the Lord.
00:56:11Cause you don't know what he's done for me.
00:56:18He gave me the victory and I love him.
00:56:25And I love him, I love him.
00:56:32I really love the Lord.
00:56:39Cause you don't know what he's done for me.
00:56:46He gave me the victory and for that I love him.
00:56:53I love him.
00:56:57I really love the Lord.
00:57:07Let us pray.
00:57:09Let us pray.
00:57:10Gracious God, our father, it is once again, we come just to tell you.
00:57:15We tell you.
00:57:17We realize, oh God, that if it had not been for you who was on our side, there's no telling where we would be.
00:57:23So God, we come today, oh God, for no form or fashion, no show to the world.
00:57:26But we come today, oh God, that you be glorified.
00:57:29Your word be edified.
00:57:30The very devil in hell be terrified.
00:57:32God, I stand behind this sacred desk, oh God, standing before these, your people, to let you know that my storage is empty.
00:57:39I am available unto you, oh God.
00:57:41I am your instrument.
00:57:42Play me any key that you see fit.
00:57:45And I be ever so careful to give you the glory, honor, and praise.
00:57:48And it's in Jesus' name we pray.
00:57:50Amen.
00:57:51Amen.
00:57:52Come on, give God a hand clap of praise this morning.
00:57:55Come on, come on, come on, give God a hand clap of praise this morning.
00:58:00Because truly it is in him that we live, that we move, that we have our being.
00:58:05Amen.
00:58:06You may be seated in the very presence of God.
00:58:10I do indeed count it and honor and the privilege to stand before your front.
00:58:14Amen.
00:58:15I do give honor to the pastor of this great church, my big brother.
00:58:18Amen.
00:58:19Reverend Eric Evans.
00:58:20Come on, can we celebrate him this morning?
00:58:25And they say beside every great man, there's an even greater woman.
00:58:28Can we celebrate First Lady Evans in the back?
00:58:31Hallelujah.
00:58:32We bless God.
00:58:34Amen.
00:58:35And to, amen, Reverend Eric, Reverend Evans' son.
00:58:38Amen.
00:58:39As soon as I walked up, I said, that's got to be one of them.
00:58:41Amen.
00:58:42Look just like him.
00:58:43Hallelujah.
00:58:44Amen.
00:58:45I do thank God.
00:58:46Amen.
00:58:47For allowing me to come back.
00:58:48Amen.
00:58:49I was supposed to be here in December.
00:58:50Amen.
00:58:51But the, the Lord had other plans.
00:58:53And, and I want to, I want to share this before we get into the word.
00:58:56Amen.
00:58:57I want to tell y'all how incredible y'all pastor is.
00:59:00Amen.
00:59:01I called him.
00:59:02Amen.
00:59:03I went into the hospital.
00:59:04Amen.
00:59:05I was unable to come.
00:59:06Amen.
00:59:07For his anniversary.
00:59:08And, and that was the hardest call I had to make.
00:59:10Amen.
00:59:11Because if anybody know me, they just know I love church and I love preaching.
00:59:14Amen.
00:59:15So when I called Reverend Evans and I told him that I was going to be, I wasn't going
00:59:18to be able to make it.
00:59:19Amen.
00:59:20He immediately began to pray.
00:59:21Amen.
00:59:22You know, I was satisfied with that because I understand he's a, he's a father.
00:59:25He's a husband.
00:59:26He's a pastor and everything like that.
00:59:28So I was satisfied with the prayer over the phone alone.
00:59:31Amen.
00:59:32But Reverend Evans didn't stop there.
00:59:33I looked up on Tuesday morning and here he comes walking into my hospital room.
00:59:38Amen.
00:59:39And that just goes to show you that he does just come see about y'all.
00:59:42Amen.
00:59:43He come and see about little old me as well.
00:59:45And I thank God for him.
00:59:46Amen.
00:59:47I thank God for sister Evans.
00:59:48Amen.
00:59:49Amen.
00:59:50Amen.
00:59:51Make sure that I was okay.
00:59:52And they said, if you need anything, let us know.
00:59:54And I just thank God.
00:59:55Amen.
00:59:56For the Emmanuel church family.
00:59:57Amen.
00:59:58For alone in me, y'all pastor.
00:59:59Amen.
01:00:00For a little while.
01:00:01Amen.
01:00:02I promise not to hold you long.
01:00:03Y'all know I'm not a long-winded preacher.
01:00:05Amen.
01:00:06So if you go to sleep, by the time you wake up, we'll be given the benediction.
01:00:10Amen.
01:00:11So I want to pull your attention, amen, to Matthew, the 14th chapter.
01:00:15Can we celebrate these young people?
01:00:17Amen.
01:00:18Thank God of their hearts today.
01:00:20Hallelujah.
01:00:21They took me back to my youth choir days.
01:00:25Amen.
01:00:26I thank God for them.
01:00:27Amen.
01:00:28Let's journey over to the book of Matthew chapter 14.
01:00:31We do give honor.
01:00:32Amen to Reverend Healy.
01:00:33Amen.
01:00:34Thank God for him.
01:00:35Amen to these musicians.
01:00:36Amen to my family.
01:00:37Amen.
01:00:38My mama, my sisters, my brother, my nephews.
01:00:41Amen.
01:00:42I thank God for them traveling with me this morning.
01:00:44We're all the way from down the street.
01:00:47Amen.
01:00:48We had to travel a long way to get here, y'all.
01:00:51A whole 12 minutes.
01:00:53Hallelujah.
01:00:54Matthew chapter 14, verse 13.
01:00:57I'm going to be reading from the NIV verse, so it might read a little different from yours.
01:01:01Amen.
01:01:02The Bible said that when Jesus heard about John, he left in a boat and went to a place where he could be alone.
01:01:09The crowds heard about this and followed him on foot from the cities.
01:01:14When Jesus got out the boat, he saw a large crowd.
01:01:17Somebody shout a large crowd.
01:01:19He saw a large crowd.
01:01:21He felt sorry for them and cured them, cured their sick people.
01:01:25In the evening, the disciples came to him.
01:01:28They said, no one lives around here and it's already late.
01:01:32Send the crowds to the villages to buy food for themselves.
01:01:36Jesus said to him, they don't need to go away.
01:01:40You give them something to eat.
01:01:42They told him, all we have here are five loaves of bread and two fish.
01:01:47Jesus said, bring them unto me.
01:01:50Then he ordered the people to sit down on the grass.
01:01:54After he took the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up toward heaven and blessed the food.
01:01:59And he broke the loaves apart.
01:02:02Gave them to the disciples and they gave them to the people.
01:02:07All of them ate.
01:02:08Here's the shout.
01:02:09As much as they wanted.
01:02:11When they picked up the leftover pieces, they filled, somebody hold on to this, 12 baskets.
01:02:17Somebody put that in your back pocket.
01:02:19We're going to come back for that a little later.
01:02:21After they had picked up the leftover pieces, they filled 12 baskets.
01:02:26About 5,000 men had eaten.
01:02:30This number does not include the women and the children.
01:02:35I want you to look at your neighbor eyeball to eyeball.
01:02:37And if you don't like your neighbor, it's your fault because you sat there.
01:02:40Look at your neighbor eyeball to eyeball and say, hey, neighbor, put it in God's hand.
01:02:46That one, the right neighbor, look at your other neighbor and say, hey, neighbor.
01:02:50All you got to do is put it in God's hand.
01:02:55You may be seated in the very presence of God.
01:03:00Put it in God's hand.
01:03:04Put it in God's hand.
01:03:06My brothers and my sisters in times like this, we must be sure and very sure that we're in the right hands.
01:03:13Being in the right hands would, should and could assure you that you're a headache in the right direction.
01:03:19You know, it burdens my heart to see good people with good hearts and good intentions be in the wrong hands.
01:03:26Many businesses have failed because they've been put in the wrong hands.
01:03:31Many inventions have gone to the grave because they've been put in the wrong hands.
01:03:37Just imagine, beloved, if God had put some of the things that we so desperately needed in the wrong hands.
01:03:44God knew that we as black folk, we don't like to be hot.
01:03:47We don't like to sweat.
01:03:48So he put the A.C. unit in the hands of Frederick M. Jones.
01:03:52God knew that we would need shoes to walk in like Christian Louboutin for my red-bottom lover, Salvador Ferragamo,
01:03:59Meslin, Joyans, Nikes, Reeboks for all my shoe-loving saints.
01:04:03He knew we would need shoes to walk in.
01:04:05So he put the shoe assembly machine in the hands of Jan Messingler.
01:04:10God knew that we need someone to help keep our hair straight.
01:04:14So he put the hot comb.
01:04:16Somebody say thank God for the hot comb.
01:04:19He put the hot comb in the hands of Walter Simmons.
01:04:23And one of the most important devices that we use today, some of us are even on them right now,
01:04:29which is called the cell phone device.
01:04:31He put the cell phone device in the hands of Henry T. Simpson.
01:04:36God knew that as we slept all night, the angels would need assistance with security.
01:04:41So he put the home security system in the hands of Marie Brown.
01:04:46But in this life of sanctification, God knew that we need a heart fixer when Dr. Charles Drew couldn't fix it.
01:04:53He knew that we need a counselor when Dr. Francis Sumner couldn't do it.
01:04:57He knew that we need a savior when Samuel Battles couldn't do it.
01:05:01So he put all of us in the hands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
01:05:08And I'm so glad that he put us in his hands because I've come to find out in my short 34 years of living that can't nobody do you like Jesus.
01:05:17I don't care how much you in love.
01:05:19I don't care how long you've been married.
01:05:21I don't care how long you've been dating.
01:05:23Can't nobody do you like, can't nobody hold you like Jesus.
01:05:28Can't nobody love you like Jesus.
01:05:30Can't nobody rock you like Jesus.
01:05:32High five your neighbor and tell your neighbor, can't nobody do me like Jesus.
01:05:38If I can get just a little bit more volume here.
01:05:42I've learned that can't nobody do me like Jesus.
01:05:46But in case you have a problem that you just can't solve, a sickness you just can't cure, an addiction you just can't shake, put it in God's hand.
01:05:55Why would I put it in God's hand?
01:05:57Because I've come to find out that the God that I serve is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think according to the power that works within us.
01:06:11So all you got to do is put it in God's hand.
01:06:14Here in the text, beloved, we found the story of Jesus along with his disciples that gave us an account of this miraculous provision of food that reveals the Lord as the source and the bread of life.
01:06:30While going about his ministry, Jesus Christ received some terrible news that John the Baptist, his best friend, the prophet, the one who he proclaimed as Messiah had been beheaded by Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee.
01:06:45Jesus' twelve disciples had just returned from a missionary journey after informing Jesus of all that they had done and taught.
01:06:54Jesus took them with him in a boat on the sea of Galilee to pray.
01:07:00A great crowd of people in the area heard that Jesus was near.
01:07:05They ran to see him bringing their sick friends and loved ones.
01:07:10Because what I learned in my study that any time that Jesus is on the scene, something is bound to happen.
01:07:19Something is bound to change.
01:07:21Something has got to be fixed.
01:07:23Somebody has got to be healed when Jesus is on the scene.
01:07:27So when they heard that Jesus was in close proximity, they began to flood Jesus because they knew that if the doctor couldn't heal him, if the podiatrist couldn't heal him, if the nurse couldn't heal him, they knew a man from Galilee.
01:07:43And they said that you ain't even got to touch me.
01:07:46All we need is a word.
01:07:48Because if God sends forth his word, his word shall not return void.
01:07:53And it shall do all that it has been set out to do.
01:08:00After teaching, preaching and healing, Jesus asked, where shall we buy bread for these to eat?
01:08:08Philip, having little faith, you know, you always got somebody around you that's doubting.
01:08:13You always got somebody around you that's trying to rain on your parade.
01:08:17You telling them that you're getting ready to start a business.
01:08:19And they ask you how you going to start a business.
01:08:21And you work a nine to five just like you always got somebody around you that want to rain on your parade.
01:08:27So here comes Philip.
01:08:28Jesus asked him, what shall we give?
01:08:31And where shall we buy bread for these to eat?
01:08:35Philip, having little faith, said, Lord, not even eight months of wages would be enough for us to feed such magnitude.
01:08:45But here comes Andrew.
01:08:46Simon Peter's brother went and found a boy's lunchable containing two pieces of catfish and five red lobster biscuits.
01:08:55And he brought them to Jesus.
01:08:58Jesus then ordered the people to sit in groups of 50.
01:09:03He then took the bread, put the bread in his hands, looked up toward heaven, gave faith to God, his father, and passes them the bread, passes the bread to the disciples for them to distribute.
01:09:17The Bible says even every man, every woman, every child ate.
01:09:23Not only did they eat, but they ate as much as they wanted once they put it in God's hand.
01:09:30Preacher, why would I put my problems in God's hands?
01:09:34Why would I put my trials in God's hands?
01:09:38Why would I put my tribulation in God's hands?
01:09:41Can I tell you what?
01:09:43I got a few minutes of your attention.
01:09:45You ought to put it in God's hands because God specializes in multiplying the supply.
01:09:52Are y'all with me this morning?
01:09:55The miracle of the feeding of the 5,000 is the only one recorded in all four gospels.
01:10:03Although it was stated that also he had fed a mass of 4,000 just men making him a great multiplier of supply.
01:10:13It was time and time again where Jesus had shown that little becomes much when you put it in the master's hand.
01:10:22I come to tell you that we serve a God, the kind of God, a God that can take a lunchable and turn it into a full buffet.
01:10:30And that's why you ought to put it in God's hands.
01:10:33You ought to put your bills in God's hands.
01:10:36You ought to put your student loans in God's hands because little becomes much when you put it in God's hands.
01:10:44Secondly, you ought to put it in God's hands because he specializes in serving the supply.
01:10:52Serving the supply.
01:10:53He took the bread.
01:10:55He took the fish into his hands.
01:10:57He blessed it and served it.
01:11:00He took the fish.
01:11:01He took the bread.
01:11:02He put it into his hands.
01:11:04He broke it, blessed it, gave it back to God, and then he passed it out.
01:11:09And that's why you ought to put your problem in God's hands because God sometimes has to break you in order to bless you.
01:11:16Sometimes God got to take you down to build you up.
01:11:21Sometimes God got to take you out to bring you back in.
01:11:24And that's why you ought to put your trials, your tribulations in God's hands.
01:11:29Because long as I know I'm in God's hands, I don't have to worry about a thing.
01:11:34Long as I know I'm in God's hands, I don't have to fret.
01:11:38I don't have to worry.
01:11:39I don't have to cry.
01:11:40Why?
01:11:41Because I'm in God's hands.
01:11:46That's why the devil can't kill it.
01:11:48That's why the devil can't destroy it.
01:11:50Because it's already been blessed.
01:11:52Look at your neighbor for the second time and tell your neighbor, I'm already blessed.
01:11:56That's why the devil can't take me out.
01:11:59That's why cancer can't take me out.
01:12:01That's why high blood pressure can't take me out because I'm already blessed.
01:12:05That's why lies can't take me out.
01:12:07That's why backstabbers can't take me out.
01:12:09That's why evil doers can't take me out because I'm already blessed.
01:12:14Blessed is he that is within me than he that is in the world.
01:12:18world. I'm on, I'm already blessed. And can't no man curse what God has already blessed.
01:12:34Lastly, and I'm almost out of here. My mama told me if I preach good, she's going to make
01:12:37me some meatloaf this week. So y'all got to, y'all got to, y'all got to help me a little
01:12:42bit. Lastly, you ought to put it in God's hands because he is the God of all supply. Jesus
01:12:55already knew what he was going to do before he did it. You don't believe me, do you? John
01:13:02chapter six, verses five through six. He says, he asked Philip, when shall we buy bread that
01:13:10these may eat? Verse number six is where I shouted. He said, prove him for he himself,
01:13:18he meaning God already knew what he was going to do. So while we're trying to figure it out,
01:13:31come on, help me preach. God has already worked it out. While we're trying to pay it off, God
01:13:40has already paid it. While we're trying to see it through, God has already made a way. And you
01:13:47ought to slap your neighbor high five for the third time and tell your neighbor that God has
01:13:54already worked it out. God has already worked it out for he is the God of all supply. God knows
01:14:08how he's going to see you through before you even get to the problem. Because I'm a firm believer. And I've
01:14:15heard someone say that if God brings you to it, he will take you through it. But when you put it in
01:14:23God's hand, he'll make everything all right. And that's why, that's why I got to put it all in his hands.
01:14:34Because I tried to figure it out on my own. I tried to live life on my own. I tried to do things on my own, but I
01:14:42kind of find out that can't nobody, can't nobody do me like Jesus. Can't nobody hold me like Jesus.
01:14:54And so I got to put all of my problems, all of my unanswered questions, I've got to put it all in his hands.
01:15:05So I told you we're going to come back for those 12 baskets.
01:15:09And this is why I have to put everything in God's hands, Tony, because while God was feeding the 5,000, not
01:15:19including women and children, he was still looking out for his disciples. You don't believe me, dude.
01:15:27Let's go back to the text. I'm just making this stuff up. Let's go back to the text.
01:15:32If you read the text, it says, after he ordered them to sit down on the grass, he took the bread and he gave it to the people.
01:15:39He broke the loaves apart. He gave it to the disciples. After he gave it to the people, all of them ate.
01:15:45Then the Bible tells us that when they picked up the leftover pieces, he had 12 baskets left.
01:15:55That's what the Bible says. The Bible says after he fed 5,000 people with two fish and five loaves of bread, he didn't leave the people out.
01:16:13So if God got enough for the 5,000 men, not including women and children, what you worried about it for?
01:16:23I'm trying to behave. First lady, I'm trying to behave. But if God, the Bible tells us to take no thought for tomorrow, for tomorrow does what?
01:16:42It bears on. So if God can take care of the little bitty birds, if God can take care of 5,000,
01:16:53not including women and children, that lets me know that I ain't got to worry because the God that I serve, he's on my street.
01:17:04If he's blessing my neighbors, I know that he's on his way to my house. And that's why I got to put it in God's hands.
01:17:15Don't you worry about a thing because everything is going to be all right. And all you got to do is put it in his hands.
01:17:29Somebody shout a yes.
01:17:31Somebody shout a yes. So don't worry about your life bill. Just put it in his hands. Don't worry about your mortgage payment.
01:17:42Just put it in his hands. Just put it in his hands. Shout a yes. And the reason why I got to put it in his hands.
01:17:59Because over 2,000 years ago, they took my Jesus from judgment hall to judgment hall.
01:18:10They nailed him in the hands. They nailed him in the feet. And you would have thought after all that torture, they would have been done.
01:18:24But they buried him in a borrowed tomb where he stayed there all night Friday. Stay there all day Saturday. Stay there Saturday night.
01:18:41But early, early, early Sunday morning, he got up with power. He got up with power. Power to make you walk right.
01:19:00Power to make you talk right. Power to make you live right. Power to put it in his hands.
01:19:12On Monday, put it in his hands. On Tuesday, put it in his hands. On Wednesday, put it in his hands.
01:19:23On Friday, put it in his hands. On Sunday, put it in his hands. Put it in his hands.
01:19:39Put it in his hands. Put it in his hands. Because we may endure for a night.
01:19:55But grab your neighbor's hand and shout, neighbor, joy, joy, joy.
01:20:05So put it in his hands. So put it in his hands. Put it in his hands.
01:20:16Because I once was young. And now I'm old. And never have I seen the righteous.
01:20:25The righteous forsaken. Nor hear seed. Begging for bread.
01:20:31So I'll put it in his hands. So I'll put it in his hands.
01:20:33So I'll put it in his hands. Because he said in his word that I will supply all of my needs.
01:20:40So just put it in his hands.
01:20:42Reverend Terry, my brother preach. And it may be somebody out there that heard his message.
01:20:55Those of the church opening, you should put it in his hands.
01:21:01Reverend Terry, my brother preach. And it may be somebody out there that heard his message.
01:21:07It may be somebody out there that may be somebody out there that may be want to transfer.
01:21:20You know, you already don't put it in his hands, but you just want to have a place where you can continue to share it and put it in his hands.
01:21:39Or it may be somebody that just don't know the Lord and want to do one of those orders that say you go down as a Christian within your heart.
01:21:50But when you get up, you're a new creature where all things, everything is going to be alright.
01:21:58It's going to be alright. Those of the church are open now.
01:22:01Let you come.
01:22:06As old prophet used to say, come while the blood is still running in your veins.
01:22:19Those of the church are open.
01:22:21Nobody told me the road would be easier.
01:22:27But I can tell you what, as a living witness, it's easy when you put it in his hands.
01:22:32It's still not too late.
01:22:33It's still not too late to put it in his hands.
01:22:49I've come too far from where I started from.
01:22:59Nobody told me the road would be easier.
01:23:07I don't believe he brought me this far to leave me.
01:23:14Those of the church are open.
01:23:17I don't feel no waste time.
01:23:27I've come too far from where I started from.
01:23:36Nobody told me the road would be easier.
01:23:45I don't believe he brought me this far to leave me.
01:23:51He brought me this far.
01:23:53I don't believe he brought me this far.
01:23:57And I don't believe he brought me this far.
01:24:02I don't believe he brought me this far to leave me.
01:24:10We've done what the Lord said, and there's still room for more.
01:24:14God bless you.
01:24:15God keep you.
01:24:17And it may be somebody that's troubled.
01:24:20I know that Brother Todd gave you, should I say, a prescription of living not a good life,
01:24:29but a great life when we learn to put it in his hands.
01:24:35Now we're going to close, Adam.
01:24:37I ask my brother to come up.
01:24:40And thank you.
01:24:42I'm sorry that Reverend Evans let us pray for him.
01:24:45I heard he had surgery.
01:24:46Is that correct?
01:24:48And let us continue to pray for our pastor.
01:24:51And as we say, when we're traveling, he returns safely because we know he's in the right hand.
01:24:58And so we don't believe that he brought him this far.
01:25:03To leave us alone, Reverend Todd.
01:25:07Come on, let's give God a hand clap of praise.
01:25:10Come on, give God a hand clap of praise.
01:25:14Hallelujah.
01:25:16Hallelujah.
01:25:17You may stand all over the building.
01:25:19Minds and hearts are clear.
01:25:21Absolutely.
01:25:25Absolutely.
01:25:26I'm definitely going to bless the food.
01:25:28Amen.
01:25:29Amen.
01:25:30First lady, Evan, would you have anything?
01:25:31No?
01:25:32Okay.
01:25:33Okay.
01:25:34Amen.
01:25:35Let us lift up our hands towards heaven.
01:25:36Gracious God, our Father, we tell you, thank you for what our eyes have seen, ears have heard.
01:25:40Our spirits have bear witness to.
01:25:42We tell you, thank you for your presence that we feel even now.
01:25:45And we tell you, thank you for the word.
01:25:46We pray now, God, this word will fall onto fertile ground and let it be applied to these, your people.
01:25:52God, we ask, O God, a special blessing over our pastor, Reverend Evans.
01:25:55Now, God, touch him from the crown of his head down to the very sole of his feet while you're blessing him and touching him and healing him.
01:26:01We pray a special blessing upon Sister Evans and the entire Evans family.
01:26:05We lift them up before you today, O God, because we know there's nothing too hard for you.
01:26:09So, God, we ask, O God, that you will move and work even now in the name of Jesus.
01:26:13God, we pray now for the food.
01:26:15Hallelujah.
01:26:16The food, God, that has been prepared.
01:26:18We pray that it will be nothing but a nourishment to our body in Jesus' name.
01:26:21We pray.
01:26:22Now, may the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the sweet communion of his Holy Spirit, rest, rule, and abide now, henceforth, and forevermore.
01:26:29All those who love the Lord will say amen, amen, and amen.
01:26:34God bless you.
01:26:35Amen, amen.
01:26:36God bless you.
