00:00:15that your Thanksgiving will be an awesome Thanksgiving

00:00:24We will not have our online Bible study.
00:00:28Today, for the prayer team, on Thursday night, we won't have the regular prayer.
00:00:35We will have Monday night prayer on the line, but we won't have Thursday night.
00:00:41So I want everyone to enjoy their Thanksgiving. Amen?

00:56:40I want to give you a good illustration. Deacon Waters is going to
00:56:44help me with this illustration.
00:56:50Leave that one by right there. Now,
00:56:53you have to close your eyes.
00:56:57I'm going to tell you. The man is blind.
00:57:01Y'all with me? And he can't see. Now, notice I'm telling
00:57:05you, the text is trying to show us what happens when you
00:57:09are spiritually blind. Y'all with me? She can't
00:57:13see. The Bible said Jesus got the man's
00:57:17hand and led him out of
00:57:21town. Now, she can't see.
00:57:25So, she's depending on me like the blind man is
00:57:28depending on Jesus. Y'all with me? When he led him out of town,
00:57:33I want you to go with me. What kept him blind
00:57:37was being in Bethsaida. So, he had to get out of Bethsaida
00:57:41so Jesus can heal him. Jesus didn't want to heal him in Bethsaida
00:57:45because I already told you, they don't believe. So, Jesus, I'm going to take you
00:57:49where you can get healed. But to get healed, I need to take you
00:57:53around some obstacles. There's some folks that have been
00:57:56talking about you. You can't see it, but I'm going to lead you
00:58:00around them. She can't see those who have been keeping her from seeing the
00:58:06light. But Jesus said, I'm going to take you
00:58:08around your haters. I'm going to take you around those things that keep you
00:58:15blind. I'm going to take you around the obstacles, the habits that you keep on
00:58:21doing that you can't get rid of. I'm going to take you around them. I'm going to lead
00:58:26you away from those things that keep hindering you from seeing. I want to lead
00:58:33you. There are some obstacles in your way that you can't see, but I can see them. I'm
00:58:39going to take you around those obstacles. I'm going to lead you away from them.
00:58:46Don't you know some of us are blind because we're where we're at in the
00:58:50environment that we're in. Can I get a witness this morning? And we need somebody
00:58:55because you know what? There are some habits that we have that we can't get away
00:59:00with and we try hard to let them go. But those habits keep... Y'all with me this morning?
00:59:08That's when folks in here don't know what I'm talking about. You want to let it go, but
00:59:12it won't let you go. And everything you did, it won't let you go. Jesus said I'm
00:59:19going to grab your hand and I'm going to lead you around every obstacle that have kept you
00:59:24blind. Ain't God all right? Now notice what else he said. Now I hear a letter out of town.
00:59:32You can open your eyes. Now this is what he said. The text says he touched her. Now I don't
00:59:39know about you. The text says he grabbed her hand. He grabbed his hand and he walked them
00:59:44out of town. Isn't that what it said? Let me tell you something. When you grab somebody's
00:59:49hand and you hold it for a minute, you are becoming intimate and special to them. I don't
00:59:58know about you. But if I take Sister Evans out in the community and I'm holding her hand,
01:00:05I'm telling everybody this is mine. She belongs to me. I am identifying with her. Jesus is identifying
01:00:15with that line. He wants you to know he belongs to me. When you are spiritually fired, you need
01:00:25somebody to lead you that can already see. Can I get a witness? You need somebody that
01:00:32can identify with you that will love you, that will care about you, that don't mind sharing
01:00:40with you what you need to know. Ain't God all right? He not only laid off away from every
01:00:48obstacle, but he grabbed her hand. He touched it and he identified with the blind man. His
01:00:55goal is that this blind man needs to see. And all I know is when Jesus touched, he doesn't
01:01:03just touch it. He holds his hand. He identifies with the man. He wants the man to see that he
01:01:10that he is showing him. What kept you blind was your environment. And for me to heal you. Now
01:01:18remember, Jesus is God. He can do all things. But you remember Jesus said about one city. He
01:01:26said in my hometown, I can't heal because people, they won't believe. There are some areas you can keep on
01:01:35praying. And you can keep praying. But because you stay in that same area, you can't be healed because you can't hear Jesus' voice. You can't hear his spirit. Because why? You are spiritually blind. Can I get a witness? And let me tell you something. There are some folks that you have to let go. Not because they changed, but because you
01:02:04you changed. You changed. Ain't God alright? You now see things differently. Now you walking with Jesus. He got your hand. He's giving you a new direction. Ain't God alright? He led the man away from what was keeping him blind. He held his hand to show that he was identified with the man. Then he laid the Bible, said he spit on the man's eyes.
01:02:33He laid his hands. He laid his hands on him and said, what do you see? He said, I see men. I see trees walking like me. Well, ain't God alright? I'm through with you, baby.
01:02:51I got to point them to. First, we see a helpless man. The man needs to be directed. He's blind. And you can say, well, pastor, I see very well. You may have eyes, but you can still be spiritually blind.
01:03:15You can't hear what God wants you to hear. You can't see what God wants you to see. Because you don't have relationship with him. Anybody know what I'm talking about? Ain't God alright?
01:03:28Ain't God alright? So, he says to Matt, what do you see? He said, I see men. I see trees. Men like trees. Walking. Point number one, we saw a helpless man. Point number one, we saw a halfway miracle.
01:03:49What do you see? What do you see? I see men that look like trees walking. One thing about this miracle that make it so unique is that it is the only place in the gospel where Jesus took a process in healing.
01:04:11Most cases in the Bible, when Jesus spoke, it happened immediately. When Jesus laid his hands on somebody, it happened immediately. But here, the first time, the man's eyes opened, but he didn't see clearly.
01:04:34Can I get a witness? Can I get a witness? Don't you know spiritual blindness is not eliminated in one in a moment. It's a process. But you become mature in the word. You don't grow overnight. There's no button you can push that make you spiritually, give you spiritual sight.
01:04:57It's a process. It's a process. It's a process. It's a process. Can I get a witness? He touched the man and the man partially see. The man, it dawned on me.
01:05:18When the man looked, when the man looked, his sight was blurred. He didn't see clearly. God said, Jesus said, what do you see? I see men like trees walking.
01:05:33Every now and then, when you come to God and you want to receive spiritual maturity, it becomes a process.
01:05:42But the man, when he first saw, his sight was blurry. What does that mean? That means he was saved, but he wasn't strong. He believed, but he could not discern the things that God was trying to tell him.
01:05:59He was called, but he wasn't committed. He loved Jesus, but he just couldn't see clearly. Jesus was also trying to get a message to his disciples.
01:06:10God, I know you've been walking with me. I know you've seen me perform miracles, but you still don't have an understanding of who I am.
01:06:21I don't know about you, but every now and then, even though I've been preaching and pastoring for a long time, every now and then, I question, God, are you still with me?
01:06:33I need to hear from you. God don't want me doubting him. He wants me trusting him. It might not happen like I want it to happen, but if I trust God, he will bring things to pass.
01:06:50Anybody know what I'm talking about? Ain't God all right? So God is, Jesus is trying to teach his disciples.
01:06:57They still don't understand the power that he has. They don't understand the anointing that he has. They do not understand the mission that he has.
01:07:08How you know that, Pastor? A few verses past what I've read in the same chapter.
01:07:15Jesus and the disciples were over in Caesarea Philippi, and Jesus asked the disciples, he said, who do men say that I am?
01:07:28They began to say, who men say that you are? Some say that you are John the Baptist.
01:07:36He said, some of them say you're Elijah or one of the other prophets.
01:07:40Then Jesus turned to his disciples and said, who do you say I am?
01:07:45Peter jumped up and said, you are the Christ, son of the living God.
01:07:51Jesus admonished Peter. Say flesh and blood didn't tell you that, but my father, which is in heaven.
01:07:59Jesus went on to tell his disciples, I'm going to die soon.
01:08:03I got to go to the cross.
01:08:05If you read the text, Peter came back and pulled Jesus to the side, and the Bible said he rebuked Jesus.
01:08:13Now, he just admonished Jesus for being the Christ, but when Jesus told him his mission, he rebuked Jesus.
01:08:22Jesus looked at Peter and said, he said, get thee behind me, Satan.
01:08:30He said, you still don't know who I am.
01:08:34I'm going to live, but I got to die.
01:08:38You understand my miracles, but you don't understand my mission.
01:08:42My mission is I got to go to Calvary.
01:08:45Ain't God all right?
01:08:47You're walking with me.
01:08:49I am telling you about me, but you still don't understand who I am.
01:08:54But you know, Jesus, the man is still there.
01:08:57He is half blind, and the disciples are just like the blind man.
01:09:04They both are half blind.
01:09:06Ain't God all right?
01:09:09Finally, my last point, healed and complete.
01:09:14Jesus touched the man.
01:09:15The Bible said, Jesus touched the man one more time.
01:09:20When he touched the man, he said, look up.
01:09:23He looked up, and he could see clearly.
01:09:26Ain't God all right?
01:09:29Yeah.
01:09:31Sight in the beginning, but not sharpness.
01:09:37Vision, but not clear vision.
01:09:41Change, but not complete.
01:09:44There are some Christians, they're saved, but they seem a little bit confused.
01:09:50They believe, they know about Jesus, but they don't really know Jesus.
01:09:57Some follow Christ, but their faith is still a little foggy right now.
01:10:02Jesus wanted disciples to understand who he really is.
01:10:07And the Bible said, the good thing about Jesus is, he'll never do anything he has.
01:10:14Everything Jesus does is complete.
01:10:17Can I get a witness?
01:10:19If he heals, if you need another touch, Jesus will give you a second touch.
01:10:27The Bible said, he touched the man another time, and the man began to see, ain't God all right?
01:10:35Ain't God all right?
01:10:37If the first touch don't work, the Bible said, he'll give you another touch.
01:10:43And I know the thing about God.
01:10:45God is an awesome God.
01:10:48Can I get a witness?
01:10:49After he healed the blind man, he said, I want you to know, your healing took place because of your belief.
01:11:03The Bible said, he led the man out of town.
01:11:09He healed him on the second touch.
01:11:12I know one thing, as I walk with God, I may not see everything clear.
01:11:20I may need him to touch me again.
01:11:23But I heard him say, the songwriter says, he may not be through with me, but when he get through with me, I shall come forth at pure goal.
01:11:37Can I get a witness?
01:11:38Jesus, he may be still working on you right now.
01:11:42He may be still working.
01:11:43I know he's still working on me right now.
01:11:46I know one thing.
01:11:48There's nothing God does that he does halfway.
01:11:52When he touch you, if you need another touch, he'll touch you another time.
01:11:57I believe if he needs to touch you a third time, he'll touch you a third time.
01:12:02Now notice, at the end of the text, it says, Jesus said to the man, now that you're healed, and you're healed complete.
01:12:14He said, don't go back into that town.
01:12:17I don't even want you to talk to anybody in the town.
01:12:21Because where I led you from, it was the very thing that caused you to be blind.
01:12:28Don't go back where you used to go.
01:12:33Don't go back to the bad habits I delivered you from.
01:12:38Don't go back to those old friends you used to hang around.
01:12:43I'm giving you a brand new path.
01:12:46I'm giving you a new direction.
01:12:48I gave you sight that you might see.
01:12:52You were independent.
01:12:54You were dependent.
01:12:55Now you're independent.
01:12:57You now can see where you want to go.
01:13:00Don't go back.
01:13:01There are too many people Jesus delivers.
01:13:04He restores.
01:13:06He builds you up.
01:13:07And when he builds you up, you turn around and go back.
01:13:12He said, don't go back.
01:13:14I delivered you from what you came out of.
01:13:18God want to elevate you.
01:13:20He wants you to see clearly.
01:13:22He wants you to have spiritual maturity.
01:13:25He wants you to be a prayer warrior.
01:13:27He wants you to be a witness.
01:13:29He wants you to stand up and let somebody know that you belong to him.
01:13:35He wants you to be a witness in a dying world.
01:13:40He wants you that have been healed to go in the hospital and tell folk he's a healer.
01:13:46He wants those who have been lost and are now found.
01:13:50He wants you to be a witness to somebody.
01:13:53Anybody know what I'm talking about?
01:13:55Has he touched anybody here?
01:13:59Has he delivered anybody here?
01:14:02Has he restored anybody here?
01:14:04Oh, hallelujah.

01:15:10When it's your time to stand up.

01:15:21I see men that need prayer warriors.

01:15:33For an example.
01:15:34I see it right now.
01:15:36And I want to know right now.

01:15:40To the goodness of God.

01:15:43No God will make a way out of no way.

01:15:48God laid his hands on you.
01:15:50And you are sick.

01:22:51In the name of Jesus, we lift up Sister Finn going through some health challenges, Lord.
01:22:55But you got power in your hands.
01:22:58You got it in your voice.
01:22:59You got it just in your thought pattern.
01:23:02You can just heal God.
01:23:03We're praying whatever Sister Finn is going through,
01:23:05that you would heal her from the top of her head down the sole of her feet.

01:23:12The journey she owns, she's not running it by herself.

01:23:16You made a promise to her when she accepted you as your Savior.
